High precision gyroscopes in space are important for sophisticated scientific experiments and deep space navigation. Microgravity in the space provides an ideal condition for operation of a cold atom gyroscope. To demonstrate this advantage, an atom interferometer (AI) was launched and installed in the China Space Station in 2022. Here reported is a realization of the cold atom gyroscope with this AI. By applying point source interferometry, spatial fringes are obtained and acceleration and rotation are extracted. The angles of the Raman lasers are precisely calibrated to avoid measurement error, and other systematic errors are also considered for the rotation measurement. The evaluated rotation measurement is (-115.64+/-1.71)*10^-5 rad/s in space, and an acceleration measurement resolution of 1.03*10^-6 m/s^2 is also obtained for a single image. This study conducts the first AI-based gyroscope in space and paves a way for future space-based AI experiments.

We propose a scheme for the creation of stable optical Ferris wheel(OFW) solitons in a nonlocal Rydberg electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT) medium. Depending on a careful optimization to both the atomic density and the one-photon detuning, we obtain an appropriate nonlocal potential provided by the strong interatomic interaction in Rydberg states which can perfectly compensate for the diffraction of the probe OFW field. Numerical results show that the fidelity keeps larger than 0.96 while the propagation distance has exceeded 160 diffraction lengths. Higher-order OFW solitons with arbitrary winding numbers are also discussed. Our study provides a straightforward route to generate spatial optical solitons in the nonlocal response region of cold Rydberg gases.

The novel weak-value-amplification (WVA) scheme of precision metrology is deeply rooted in the quantum nature of destructive interference between the pre- and post-selection states. And, an alternative version, termed as joint WVA (JWVA), which employs the difference-signal from the post-selection accepted and rejected results, has been found possible to achieve even better sensitivity (two orders of magnitude higher) under some technical limitations (e.g. misalignment errors). In this work, after erasing the quantum coherence, we analyze the difference-signal amplification (DSA) technique, which serves as a classical counterpart of the JWVA, and show that similar amplification effect can be achieved. We obtain a simple expression for the amplified signal, carry out characterization of precision, and point out the optimal working regime. We also discuss how to implement the post-selection of a classical mixed state. The proposed classical DSA technique holds similar technical advantages of the JWVA and may find interesting applications in practice.

We present a theoretical analysis for the metrology quality of joint weak measurements (JWM), in close comparison with the weak-value-amplification (WVA) technique. We point out that the difference probability function employed in the JWM scheme cannot be used to calculate the uncertainty variance and Fisher information (FI). In order to carry out the metrological precision, we reformulate the problem in terms of difference-combined stochastic variables, which makes all calculations well defined. We reveal that, in general, the metrological precision of the JWM scheme cannot reach that indicated by the total FI, despite that all the readouts are collected without discarding. We also analyze the effect of technical noise, showing that the technical noise cannot be removed by the subtracting procedure, which yet can be utilized to outperform the conventional measurement, when considering the imaginary WV measurement.

The post-selection strategy can also result in the precision of Heisenberg (or even "super-Heisenberg") scaling with the photon numbers, but without using any expensive quantum resources. %% The present work may stimulate further investigations for the potential of the post-selection strategy in quantum precision measurements.

Existing studies via shot noise calculation conclude that the cross correlation between the currents in the two leads connected by a pair of Majorana zero modes (MZMs) vanishes when their coupling energy $ε_M\to 0$. Motivated by the intrinsic nature of nonlocality of the MZMs, we revisit this important problem and propose an experimental scheme to demonstrate the nonvanishing cross correlation even at the limit $ε_M\to 0$. The proposed scheme employs the Andreev-process-associated branch circuit currents, which are theoretically obtained by applying a decomposition analysis for the total currents while in practical measurement, are accessible directly. For different bias voltage setup, we find intriguing results of both negative and positive correlations and carry out simple physical understanding using a quantum jump technique. Importantly, combining together with the evidence of the zero-bias-peak of conductance, the nonlocal cross correlation predicted in this work can help to definitely confirm the existence of the nonlocal MZMs.

The weak-value (WV) measurement proposed by Aharonov, Albert and Vaidman (AAV) has attracted a great deal of interest in connection with quantum metrology. In this work, we extend the analysis beyond the AAV limit and obtain a few main results. (i) We obtain non-perturbative result for the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). In contrast to the AAV's prediction, we find that the SNR asymptotically gets worse when the AAV's WV $A_w$ becomes large, i.e., in the case $g|A_w|^2>>1$, where $g$ is the measurement strength. (ii) With the increase of $g$ (but also small), we find that the SNR is comparable to the result under the AAV limit, while both can reach -- actually the former can slightly exceed -- the SNR of the standard measurement. However, along a further increase of $g$, the WV technique will become less efficient than the standard measurement, despite that the postselection probability is increased. (iii) We find that the Fisher information can characterize the estimate precision qualitatively well as the SNR, yet their difference will become more prominent with the increase of $g$. (iv) We carry out analytic expressions of the SNR in the presence of technical noises and illustrate the particular advantage of the imaginary WV measurement. The non-perturbative result of the SNR manifests a favorable range of the noise strength and allows an optimal determination.

Motivated by the need of quantum measurement of Majorana qubits and surface-code stabilizers, we analyze the performance of a double-dot interferometer under the influence of environment noise. The double-dot setup design allows accounting for the full multiple tunneling process between the dots through the Majorana island, within a master equation approach. In the co-tunneling regime, which results in a Majorana-mediated effective coupling between the dots, the master equation approach allows us to obtain analytic solutions for the measurement currents. The measurement quality, characterized by figures of merit such as the visibility of measurement signals, is carried out in regard to the unusual decoherence effect rather than `which-path' dephasing. The results obtained in this work are expected to be useful for future experiments of Majorana qubit and stabilizer measurements.

We propose a scheme that can generate tunable optomechanically induced transparency in a hybrid piezooptomechanical cavity system. The system is composed of a high-quality planar distributed Bragg reflector cavity modified with an embedded Gaussian-shaped defect. Moreover, interdigitated transducers are fabricated on the surface of the cavity to generate surface acoustic waves. Under the actuation of the surface acoustic wave, the upper Bragg mirrors can be vibrated as a bulk acoustic resonator, and the distributed Bragg reflector cavity becomes a standard three-level optomechanical system. In this situation, we show that when a strong pump optical field and a weak probe optical field are simultaneously applied to the hybrid optomechanical cavity system, optomechanically induced transparency occurs under the quantum interference between different energy-level pathways. Our scheme can be applied in the fields of optical switches and quantum information processing in solid-state quantum systems.

The wires are further coupled to two quantum dots, which are also linked directly, thus creating an interference loop. The transport current through this system shows an interference pattern which distinguishes two basis states of the qubit in a QND measurement. We analyze various properties of the interference current and the read-out process, including the resulting dephasing and relaxation. We also analyze the effects of varying control parameters such as gate voltages on the current. The characteristic dependencies could serve as a signature of Majorana bound states.

The conventional method of qubit measurements in circuit QED is employing the dispersive regime of qubit-cavity coupling, which results in an approximated scheme of quantum nondemolition (QND) readout. This scheme becomes problematic in the case of strong coupling and/or strong measurement drive, owing to the so-called Purcell effect. A recent proposal by virtue of longitudinal coupling suggests a new scheme to realize fast, high-fidelity, and {\it ideal QND} readout of qubit state. The aim of the present work is twofold: (i) In parallel to what has been done in the past years for the dispersive readout, we carry out the gradual partial-collapse theory for this recent scheme, in terms of both the quantum trajectory equation and quantum Bayesian approaches. The partial-collapse weak measurement theory is useful for such as the measurement-based feedback control and other quantum applications. (ii) In the physical aspect, we construct the joint qubit-plus-cavity entangled state under continuous measurement and present a comprehensive analysis for the quantum efficiency,qubit-state purity, and signal-to-noise ratio in the output currents. The combination of the joint state and the quantum Bayesian rule provides a generalized scheme of cavity reset associated with the longitudinal coupling, which can restore the qubit to a quantum pure state from entanglement with the cavity states, and thus benefits the successive partial-collapse measurements after qubit rotations.

We show that in the presence of a strong pumped optical field applied to the optomechanical crystal cavity through the optical waveguide and an intensely stimulated microwave field applied to the superconducting microwave cavity, a double-OMIT window can be observed in the weak output probe field. The mechanism is that a N-type four-level system can be formed by the system, when two driving fields and a probe field are applied to the corresponding levels, under the effect of quantum interference between different energy level pathways, the third-order nonlinear absorption is enhanced by the constructive quantum interference while the linear absorption is inhibited by the destruc- tive quantum interference, as a result, the double-OMIT window is generated. Our scheme can be applied to realize high-speed optical switches, high-resolution spectroscopy, coherent population trap** or quantum information processing in the solid state quantum systems.

There are several important solid-state systems, such as defects in solids, superconducting circuits and molecular qubits, for attractive candidates of quantum computations. Molecular qubits, which benefit from the power of chemistry for the tailored and inexpensive synthesis of new systems, face the challenge from decoherence effect. The decoherence effect is due to the molecular qubits' inevitable interactions to their environment. Strategies to overcome decoherence effect have been developed, such as designing a nuclear spin free environment and working at atomic clock transitions. These chemical approaches, however, have some fundamental limitations. For example, chemical approach restricts the ligand selection and design to ligands with zero nuclear magnetic dipole moment, such as carbon, oxygen, and sulfur. Herein, a physical approach, named Dynamical decoupling (DD), is utilized to combat decoherence, while the limitations of the chemical approaches can be avoided. The phase memory time $T_2$ for a transition metal complex has been prolonged to exceed one millisecond ($1.4~$ms) by employing DD. The single qubit figure of merit $Q_M $ reaches $ 1.4\times 10^5$, which is $40$ times better than that previously reported value for such system. Our results show that molecular qubits, with milliseconds $T_2$, are promising candidates for quantum information processing.

The ability to modulate an optical field via an electric field is regarded as a key function of electro-optic interconnects, which are used in optical communications and information processing systems. One of the main required devices for such interconnects is the electro-optic modulator (EOM). Current EOM based on the electro-optic effect and the electro-absorption effect often is bulky and power inefficient due to the weak electro-optic properties of its constituent materials. Here we propose a new mechanism to produce an arbitrary-waveform EOM based on the quantum interference, in which both the real and imaginary parts of the susceptibility are engineered coherently with the superhigh efficiency. Based on this EOM, a waveform interconnect from the voltage to the modulated optical absorption is realised. We expect that such a new type of electro-optic interconnect will have a broad range of applications including the optical communications and network.

A dressed-state perturbation theory beyond the rotating waveapproxi-mation (RWA) is presented to investigate the interaction between a two level electronic transition of the polar molecules and a quantized cavity field. Analytical expressions can be explicitly derived for both the ground- and excited-state-energy spectrums and wave functions of the system, where the contribution of permanent dipole moments (PDM) and the counter-rotating wave term (CRT) can be shown separately. The validity of these explicit results is discussed by comparing with the direct numerical simulation. Comparing to CRT coupling, PDM results in the coupling of more dressed states and the energy shift proportional to the square of the normalized permanent dipole difference, and a greater Bloch-Siegert shift could be produced in giant dipole molecule cavity QED. In addition, our method could also be extended to the solution of two-level atom Rabi model Hamiltonian beyond the RWA.

Develo** efficient framework for quantum measurements is of essential importance to quantum science and technology. In this work, for the important superconducting circuit-QED setup, we present a rigorous and analytic solution for the effective quantum trajectory equation (QTE) after polaron transformation and converted to the form of Stratonovich calculus. We find that the solution is a generalization of the elegant quantum Bayesian approach developed in arXiv:1111.4016 by Korotokov and currently applied to circuit-QED measurements. The new result improves both the diagonal and offdiagonal elements of the qubit density matrix, via amending the distribution probabilities of the output currents and several important phase factors. Compared to numerical integration of the QTE, the resultant quantum Bayesian rule promises higher efficiency to update the measured state, and allows more efficient and analytical studies for some interesting problems such as quantum weak values, past quantum state, and quantum state smoothing. The method of this work opens also a new way to obtain quantum Bayesian formulas for other systems and in more complicated cases.

In this work we revisit the important and controversial concept of quantum weak values, aiming to provide a simplified understanding to its associated physics and the origin of anomaly. Taking the Stern-Gerlach setup as a working system, we base our analysis on an exact treatment in terms of quantum Bayesian approach. We also make particular connection with a very recent work, where the anomaly of the weak values was claimed from the pure statistics in association with "disturbance" and "post-selection", rather than the unique quantum nature. Our analysis resolves the related controversies through a clear and quantitative way.

For continuous weak measurement of qubits, we obtain exact expressions for weak values (WVs) from the post-selection restricted average of measurement outputs, by using both the quantumtrajectory- equation (QTE) and quantum Bayesian approach. The former is applicable to short-time weak measurement, while the latter can relax the measurement strength to finite. We find that even in the "very" weak limit the result can be essentially different from the one originally proposed by Aharonov, Albert and Vaidman (AAV), in a sense that our result incorporates non-perturbative correction which could be important when the AAV's WV is large. Within the Bayesian framework, we obtain also elegant expressions for finite measurement strength and find that the amplifier's noise in quantum measurement has no effect on the WVs. In particular, we obtain very useful result for homodyne measurement in circuit-QED system, which allows for measuring the real and imaginary parts of the AAV's WV by simply tuning the phase of the local oscillator. This advantage can be exploited as efficient state-tomography technique.

Compared with the quantum trajectory equation, the quantum Bayesian approach has the advantage of being more efficient to infer quantum state under monitoring, based on the integrated output of measurement. For weak measurement of qubits in circuit quantum electrodynamics(cQED), properly accounting for the measurement backaction effects within the Bayesian framework is an important problem of current interest.Elegant work towards this task was carried out by Korotkov in "bad-cavity" and weak-response limits (arXiv:1111.4016).In the present work, based on insights from the cavity-field states (dynamics) and the help of an effective QTE, we generalize the results of arXiv:1111.4016 to more general system parameters. The obtained Bayesian rule is in full agreement with Korotkov's result in limiting cases and as well holds satisfactory accuracy in non-limiting cases in comparison with the QTE simulations. We expect the proposed Bayesian rule to be useful for future cQED measurement and control experiments.

We propose a novel scheme to realize electrically controlled quantum memories in the opto- and electro-mechanical (OEM) cavity. Combining this OEM cavity with the mechanism of Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT) we find that the quantum interference, arising from the two optical transitions of the $Λ$ type three-level atomic ensembles, can be manipulated electrically. Numerical calculations show that the probe photon state can be well stored into the atomic spin state by sending an electric current pulse and retrieved with time-reverse symmetry by sending the other current pulse with opposite direction. The quantum interference with electric controlling is expected to apply to other quantum control aspects.

If the quantum system evolves from a Bell state, quantum correlations decay to zero in a very short time at the critical point of the environment. We found there exist some special interval of the three-site coupling strength in which the decay of quantum discord and entanglement can be delayed. When the qubits are initially prepared in a Bell diagonal state, the decay of entanglement is also delayed in the special interval, but the decay of quantum discord is enhanced. Besides, the sudden transition between classical and quantum decoherence is observed. we found the transition time can be lengthened at the special range of three-site interaction and shorten by degree of anisotropy.

We investigate the dynamics of quantum discord and entanglement for two central spin qubits coupled to an isotropic Lipkin-Meshkov-Glick bath. It is found that both quantum discord and entanglement have quite distinct behaviors with respect to the two different phases of the bath. In the case of the symmetry broken phase bath, quantum discord and entanglement can remain as constant. In the case of the symmetric phase bath, quantum discord and entanglement always periodically oscillate with time. The critical point of quantum phase transition of the bath can be revealed clearly by the distinct behaviors of quantum correlations. Furthermore, it is observed that quantum discord is significantly enhanced during the evolution while entanglement periodically vanishes.

The general and reduced Yangian Y(sl(2)) and Y(su(3)) are applied to the bi-qubit system and the mixed light pseudoscalar meson state, respectively. We can find that the general ones are not able to make the initial states disentangled by acting on the initial states, however the reduced ones are able to make the initial state disentangled. In addition, we show the effects of Y(su(3)) generators on the the decay channel.

We numerically and analytically investigate the time evolution of quantum discord and entanglement for two-qubit initially prepared in a class of $X-$structure state. In the case of evolution from a pure state, quantum correlations decay to zero in a very short time at the critical point of the environment. In the case of evolution from a mixed state, It is found that quantum discord may get maximized due to the quantum critical behavior of the environment while entanglement vanishes under the same condition. Moreover, we observed sudden transition between classical and quantum decoherence when single qubit interacts with the environment. The effects of DM interaction on quantum correlations are also considered and revealed in the two cases. It can enhance the decay of quantum correlations and its effect on quantum correlations can be strengthened by anisotropy parameter.

We find that the DM interaction can increase quantum discord to a fixed value in the anti- ferromagnetic system, but decreases quantum discord to a minimum first, then increases it to a fixed value in the ferromagnetic system. Abrupt change of quantum discord is observed, which indicates the abrupt change of groundstate. Dynamics of pairwise thermal quantum discord is also considered. We show that thermal discord vanishes in asymptotic limit regardless of its initial values, while thermal entanglement suddenly disappears at finite time.

The critical temperature of disentanglement is obtained. Based on Bell measurements in two subspaces, we find the anisotropy measurements is optimal to the isotropy arising from the entangled eigenstates of the system in the anisotropy subspace. In addition, it is shown that the anisotropy transmission fidelity is very high and stable for quantum dot as quantum channel when the parameters are adjusted. The possible applications of quantum dot are expected in the quantum teleportation.

It is shown clearly the effects of the anisotropic factor of the magnetic field through the contour figures of energy level crossing in two subspaces, the isotropy subspace and anisotropy subspace. We calculate the quantum fidelity between the ground state and the state of the system at temperature $T$, and the results show the strong effect of the anisotropic factor again. In addition, by making use of the transition of Yangian generators in the tensor product space, we study the evolution of the thermal fidelity after the transition. The potential applications of Yangian algebra, as a switch to turn on or off the fidelity, are proposed.

We get the fidelity susceptibility for SU(2) and SU(1,1) algebraic structure models. From this relation, the validity of the fidelity susceptibility to signal for the quantum phase transition is also verified in these two systems. At the same time, we obtain the geometric phase in these two systems in the process of calculating the fidelity susceptibility. In addition, the new method of calculating fidelity susceptibility has been applied to explore the two-dimensional XXZ model and the Bose-Einstein condensate(BEC).

We study thermal entanglement in a two-superconducting-qubit system in two cases, either identical or distinct. By calculating the concurrence of system, we find that the entangled degree of the system is greatly enhanced in the case of very low temperature and Josephson energies for the identical superconducting qubits, and our result is in a good agreement with the experimental data.
