Nonclassicality in composite quantum systems depicts several puzzling manifestations, with Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen entanglement, Schrödinger steering, and Bell nonlocality being the most celebrated ones. In addition to those, an unentangled quantum state can also exhibit nonclassicality, as evidenced from notions such as quantum discord and work deficit. Here, we propose a general framework to investigate nonclassical correlations in multipartite quantum states. The distinct signatures left on observable quantities, depending on whether the sub-parts of a composite system are probed separately or jointly, provide an operational avenue to construct different quantifiers that faithfully capture signatures of nonclassicality in quantum states. Along the line we unveil an intriguing phenomenon referred to as `nonlocal locking of observable quantities', where the value of an observable quantity gets locked in the correlation of a nonclassical state. Our approach reduces the experimental demand for verification of nonclassicality in composite systems and can find applications for enhanced energy storage in quantum thermodynamical devices.

The certification of quantum nonlocality, which has immense significance in architecting device-independent technologies, confronts severe experimental challenges. Detection loophole, originating from the unavailability of perfect detectors, is one of the major issues amongst them. In the present study we focus on the minimum detection efficiency (MDE) required to detect various forms of genuine nonlocality, originating from the type of causal constraints imposed on the involved parties. In this context, we demonstrate that the MDE needed to manifest the recently suggested $T_2$-type nonlocality deviates significantly from perfection. Additionally, we have computed the MDE necessary to manifest Svetlichny's nonlocality, with state-independent approach markedly reducing the previously established bound. Finally, considering the inevitable existence of noise we demonstrate the robustness of the imperfect detectors to certify $T_2$-type nonlocality.

Quantum nonlocality, pioneered in Bell's seminal work and subsequently verified through a series of experiments, has drawn substantial attention due to its practical applications in various protocols. Evaluating and comparing the extent of nonlocality within distinct quantum correlations holds significant practical relevance. Within the resource theoretic framework this can be achieved by assessing the inter-conversion rate among different nonlocal correlations under free local operations and shared randomness. In this study we, however, present instances of quantum nonlocal correlations that are incomparable in the strongest sense. Specifically, when starting with an arbitrary many copies of one nonlocal correlation, it becomes impossible to obtain even a single copy of the other correlation, and this incomparability holds in both directions. Remarkably, these incomparable quantum correlations can be obtained even in the simplest Bell scenario, which involves two parties, each having two dichotomic measurements setups. Notably, there exist an uncountable number of such incomparable correlations. Our result challenges the notion of a 'unique gold coin', often referred to as the 'maximally resourceful state', within the framework of the resource theory of quantum nonlocality, which has nontrivial implications in the study of nonlocality distillation.

Discrimination of quantum states under local operations and classical communication (LOCC) is an intriguing question in the context of local retrieval of classical information, encoded in the multipartite quantum systems. All the local quantum state discrimination premises, considered so far, mimic a basic communication set-up, where the spatially separated decoding devices are independent of any additional input. Here, exploring a generalized communication scenario we introduce a framework for input-dependent local quantum state discrimination, which we call local random authentication (LRA). Referring to the term nonlocality, often used to indicate the impossibility of local state discrimination, we coin the term conditional nonlocality for the impossibility associated with the task LRA. We report that conditional nonlocality necessitates the presence of entangled states in the ensemble, a feature absent from erstwhile nonlocality arguments based on local state discrimination. Conversely, all the states in a complete basis set being entangled implies conditional nonlocality. However, the impossibility of LRA also exhibits more conditional nonlocality with less entanglement. The relation between the possibility of LRA and local state discrimination for sets of multipartite quantum states, both in the perfect and conclusive cases, has also been established. The results highlight a completely new aspect of the interplay between the security of information in a network and quantum entanglement under the LOCC paradigm.

Hardy's argument constitutes an elegant proof of quantum nonlocality. In this work, we report an exotic application of Hardy's nonlocal correlations in two-party communication setup. We come up with a task, wherein a positive payoff can be through an $1$ bit of communication from the sender to the receiver if and only if the communication channel is assisted with a no-signaling correlation exhibiting Hardy's nonlocality. This further prompts us to establish a counter-intuitive result in correlation assisted reverse zero-error channel coding scenario, where the aim is to simulate a higher input-output noisy classical channel by a lower input-output noiseless one in assistance with pre-shared correlations. We show that there exist such reverse zero-error channel simulation tasks where non-maximally entangled states are preferable over the assistance with a maximally entangled state, even when the former states carry an arbitrarily small amount of entanglement. Our work thus establishes that within the operational paradigm of local operations and limited classical communication the structure of entangled resources is even more complex to characterize.

We generalize Grover algorithm with two arbitrary phases in a density matrix set up. We give exact analytic expressions for the success probability after arbitrary number of iteration of the generalized Grover operator as a function of number of iterations, two phase angles (α, \{beta}) and parameter ξ introduced in the off diagonal terms of the density matrix in a sense to capture the coherence present in the initial quantum register. We extend Li and Li's idea and show for the phase matching condition α = -\{beta} = 0.35π with two iterations and ξ = 1, we can achieve success probability >= 0.8 only with a knowledge about the lower bound of λ = 0.166 where λ is the ratio of marked to total number states in the database. Finally we quantify success probability of the algorithm with decrease in coherence of the initial quantum state against modest noise in this simple model.
