This study introduces an advanced machine learning method for predicting soccer players' market values, combining ensemble models and the Shapley Additive Explanations (SHAP) for interpretability. Utilizing data from about 12,000 players from Sofifa, the Boruta algorithm streamlined feature selection. The Gradient Boosting Decision Tree (GBDT) model excelled in predictive accuracy, with an R-squared of 0.901 and a Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 3,221,632.175. Player attributes in skills, fitness, and cognitive areas significantly influenced market value. These insights aid sports industry stakeholders in player valuation. However, the study has limitations, like underestimating superstar players' values and needing larger datasets. Future research directions include enhancing the model's applicability and exploring value prediction in various contexts.

In the pursuit of accurate and scalable quantitative methods for financial market analysis, the focus has shifted from individual stock models to those capturing interrelations between companies and their stocks. However, current relational stock methods are limited by their reliance on predefined stock relationships and the exclusive consideration of immediate effects. To address these limitations, we present a groundbreaking framework for financial market analysis. This approach, to our knowledge, is the first to jointly model investor expectations and automatically mine latent stock relationships. Comprehensive experiments conducted on China's CSI 300, one of the world's largest markets, demonstrate that our model consistently achieves an annual return exceeding 10%. This performance surpasses existing benchmarks, setting a new state-of-the-art standard in stock return prediction and multiyear trading simulations (i.e., backtesting).

In modern society, the trading methods and strategies used in financial market have gradually changed from traditional on-site trading to electronic remote trading, and even online automatic trading performed by a pre-programmed computer programs because the continuous development of network and computer computing technology. The quantitative trading, which the main purpose is to automatically formulate people's investment decisions into a fixed and quantifiable operation logic that eliminates all emotional interference and the influence of subjective thoughts and applies this logic to financial market activities in order to obtain excess profits above average returns, has led a lot of attentions in financial market. The development of self-adjustment programming algorithms for automatically trading in financial market has transformed a top priority for academic research and financial practice. Thus, a new flexible grid trading model combined with the Simplified Swarm Optimization (SSO) algorithm for optimizing parameters for various market situations as input values and the fully connected neural network (FNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model for training a quantitative trading model to automatically calculate and adjust the optimal trading parameters for trading after inputting the existing market situation is developed and studied in this work. The proposed model provides a self-adjust model to reduce investors' effort in the trading market, obtains outperformed investment return rate and model robustness, and can properly control the balance between risk and return.

An automatic program that generates constant profit from the financial market is lucrative for every market practitioner. Recent advance in deep reinforcement learning provides a framework toward end-to-end training of such trading agent. In this paper, we propose an Markov Decision Process (MDP) model suitable for the financial trading task and solve it with the state-of-the-art deep recurrent Q-network (DRQN) algorithm. We propose several modifications to the existing learning algorithm to make it more suitable under the financial trading setting, namely 1. We employ a substantially small replay memory (only a few hundreds in size) compared to ones used in modern deep reinforcement learning algorithms (often millions in size.) 2. We develop an action augmentation technique to mitigate the need for random exploration by providing extra feedback signals for all actions to the agent. This enables us to use greedy policy over the course of learning and shows strong empirical performance compared to more commonly used epsilon-greedy exploration. However, this technique is specific to financial trading under a few market assumptions. 3. We sample a longer sequence for recurrent neural network training. A side product of this mechanism is that we can now train the agent for every T steps. This greatly reduces training time since the overall computation is down by a factor of T. We combine all of the above into a complete online learning algorithm and validate our approach on the spot foreign exchange market.
