Tensor robust principal component analysis (robust PCA) has been applied to the lightning images. Robust PCA aims to classify the images into low-rank and sparse components. The low rank and sparse components correspond to static background separation and the dynamic (lightning) part of the images correspondingly. After classification, Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) unfold technique has been applied to sparse tensor, which transforms the tensor to spatial-temporal spaces in the form of vector matrixes. Spectral evolution shows the evolution of the polarization of the UV-Vis spectra. The contour maps of 2D energy density plots reveal the zero-point energy fluctuations of the bosons, fermions, and virtual matters from early to late stages. Detection of such fluctuations in the early stages can help to remote sensing of the lightning. 3D vector(ether) field representation of the sparse tensor of the brightest lightning reveals the butterfly effect of the black holes with the signatures of flap**. There is a correlation between the approximate entropy and the chaos trends of the 3D vector field analyzed by the Lyapunov exponent. In the brightest frame, the fractal dimension measures 0.8004, which is close to the Fibonacci Hamiltonian.

In this study, we present the production of silver nanoparticles in aqueous Inula Viscosa extract by the green synthesis approach at room temperature. The structural, morphological properties as well as formation kinetics of the synthesized silver nanoparticles were characterized by UV-VIS, STEM, XRD, Raman and FTIR measurements. Mono-dispersed and very stable silver nanoparticles with size of 15$\pm$5 nm and face-centered cubic crystal structure were synthesized in aqueous Inula Viscosa extract. The kinetic studies of silver nanoparticles formation in Inula Viscosa extract show that silver nanoparticle formation reaction reached the equilibrium within 24 h and fit in the first-order reaction kinetics. The results clearly show that the size of fabricated nanoparticles is independent on the dynamical formation process since the reaction time and initial silver ion concentration did not affect on size and morphology of the produced particles.

Substantial developments in pattern recognition and machine learning offer unique advancements to study the deeper structures of plasma physics. We have employed the Kernel principal component analysis(KPCA) of Argon glow discharge plasmas over time-resolved UV-Vis spectra for different pressure scans. 3D vector fields obtained by KPCA reveal the chaotic structure, strange attractors. The presence of the cross magnetic field (B=100G) and the addition of pressure increase the degree of chaos. Lower scale vector fields show that phonon sinks and traps and cool the plasma electron temperatures. The average electron and ion density profiles are provided by the 2D particle in cell simulation. Welch's transformation of the lower to higher scale vector fields illuminates the symmetric zero-point energy fluctuations of particles, antiparticles, and virtual particles. These positive and negative energies cancel each other and the combination of these energy fields form another type of fractal structure.

While on the subject, photon condensation and Anti-Stokes cooling remain compelling phenomena of laser-underdense plasma interaction. In this work, the interaction of a 1064 nm continuum-wave laser with inductively-coupled plasma (ICP) of Mercury(Hg) has been studied by probabilistic pattern recognition over observed time resolved spectral data.3D vector fields obtained by the probabilistic pattern recognition over spectral database proficiently illuminates the analogue black hole (ABH) and its sonic horizon in which homoclinic orbit Whistler waves are exited. Vector spectra show the collective behavior of condensation and anti-Stokes cooling is due to the electronic transitions of Hg1 trapped by the phonon sink of ABH of laser. Modeling of subsonic phonon vector spectrum obtained by the probabilistic linear discriminant analysis(PLDA) estimates the 0.70 nanoKelvin of temperature of the sink region of ABH.

Metallic layers are known to be used for the suppression of wave transmission when their thickness is sufficiently higher than the skin depth of metal. If in addition to blocking the transmission, metallic layers have the feature of blocking the reflection, too, they would make perfect absorbers. In this work, we propose an experimental approach of using a single thin layer of Manganese (Mn) as both the transmission suppresser and the reflection suppresser. This approach leads to obtaining lithography-free ultra-broadband perfect absorption in an ultra-wide spectrum ranging from Ultraviolet (UV) to Far Infrared (FIR). The measured average absorption is approximately 99%. Such a promising result can be achieved by only coating a single Mn layer on high-roughness substrates that include random nano-pyramids on it. In other words, we do not need a stack of different materials and combinations of geometrical features. The high roughness is realized on a commercial Silicon wafer substrate by inductively coupled plasma (ICP) etching. The key to this ultra-wideband absorption is electromagnetic field tapering which exists due to the graded-index feature of the structure (known as moth-eye effect), along with the ideal optical properties of Mn which makes it an excellent metal for broadband absorption applications. A full experimental characterization of the fabricated samples is presented along with the physical analysis of the phenomena. The findings of this paper can be used for the realization of lithography-free, cost-effective and high-throughput mass production of broadband absorbers.

In this paper, the effects of electron beam on the X pinch produced spectra of L-shell Mo plasma have been investigated by principal component analysis (PCA), and this analysis is compared with that of line ratio diagnostics. Spectral database for PCA extraction was arranged using the non-LTE collisional radiative L-shell Mo model. PC vector spectra of L shell Mo including F, Ne, Na and Mg- like transitions were studied to investigate the polarization types of these transitions. PC1 vector spectra of F, Ne, Na and Mg- like transitions resulted in linear polarization of Stokes Q profiles. Besides, PC2 vector spectra showed linear polarization of Stokes U profiles of 2p53s of Ne like transitions which were recognized as responsive to the magnetic field (Trabert et al., 2017). 3D representation of PCA coefficients demonstrated that addition of electron beam to the non-LTE model generates the quantized collective clusters which are translations of each other and follow V-shaped cascade trajectories except for the case f = 0.0. The extracted principal coefficients were used as a database for the Artifical Neural Network (ANN) to estimate the plasma electron temperature, density and beam fractions of time integrated spatially resolved L-shell Mo X-pinch plasma spectrum. PCA based ANN provides advantage in reducing the network topology with a more efficient Backpropagation supervised learning algorithm. The modeled plasma electron temperature is about Te~660 eV and density ne=1x1020 cm-3 in the presence of the fraction of the beams with f~0.1 and centered energy of 5 keV.

Eigen spectra of PCA perform the Fano type resonances.3D vector field spectra reveal the Homoclinic orbit Lorenz attractor. Quantum confinement effects are observed by 3D representation of LDA. Standing wave patterns resulting from oscillations of ion acoustic phonon and electron waves are illustrated through the eigen spectra of LDA. Such capabilities of GNPs have brought high attention for the high energy density physics applications. Furthermore, accurate prediction of gold nanoparticle (GNP) sizes using machine learning could provide rapid analysis without the need for expensive analysis. Two hybrid algorithms consist of unsupervised PCA and two different supervised ANN have been used to estimate the diameters of GNPs. PCA based artificial neural network (ANN) were found to estimate the diameters with a high accuracy.

In this paper, the interaction of a 1064 nm continuum-wave laser with inductively-coupled plasma generated in a fluorescent light bulb has been studied both experimentally and theoretically. The absorption coefficients pertaining to the plasma medium were obtained for different power measurements. The results indicate that absorption coefficients decrease with the increase in laser power. The UV-Vis spectra of mercury plasma were recorded by the charge-coupled spectrometer device at different power levels of laser. The linear discriminant analysis (LDA) of plasma spectra reveals the plasma ion and electron oscillations. Fourier series modeling of electron oscillation results the Whistler mode frequency of wpe= 0.16 kHz with a density of ne=3.9x1013 cm^(-3). 3D representation of LDA coefficients shows that the increase of laser power leads the plasma species to form in Whistler mode structures. Plasma electron temperatures ( e T ) was inferred from the SPARTAN non-local thermal equilibrium (non-LTE) spectral code, and they were about 0.6 eV in the absence of laser light. However, there was a 0.05 eV increase in electron temperature when the laser power was absorbed by the plasma. Electron temperatures slightly increased with the increase in the power levels, which in turn resulted in smaller absorption coefficients since the absorption coefficients scales with Te^(-3/2).

Working pressures of the gases are kept between 0.1 and 1 Torr. The breakdown voltage measurements across the electrodes are conducted by Tektronix P6015 high voltage probe connected to a Tektronix 2430A oscilloscope. The Spectra of discharge plasmas in the absence and presence of magnetic fields are recorded between 200-1100 nm. by AvaSpec-ULS3648. In order to analyse observed spectra of nitrogen and oxygen plasmas, one of the pattern recognition techniques of principal component analysis has been employed. Results of principal component analysis shows that the presence of magnetic field cause the plasma particles to move in condensed way for the oxygen but not for the nitrogen. Principal component spectra shows that small amount of the cross magnetic field results in the Stokes linear polarization of the most of the oxygen and NIII (337 nm) of the Nitrogen species in the plasmas. The non-local thermal equilibrium based spectroscopic modeling of nitrogen and oxygen plasma gives that the electron temperature of nitrogen and oxygen are Te=25000 and 5000 Kelvin respectively.

Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) is applied to investigate the electron beam effects on the X-pinch produced K-shell Aluminum synthetic spectra. The radiating plasma is produced by the explosion of two 25-μm Al wires on a compact L-C (40kV, 200kA and 200ns) generator and time integrated spectra are recorded using de Broglie spectrographs. The electron temperature and density(Te = 80 eV and ne = 1x1020 cm-3), as well as the hot electron beam fraction (f = 0.2 and energy centered at 10 keV) in the Al plasma, were extracted using coefficients of principal components derived from the non-LTE K-shell Al model. LDA shows that the weak transitions of Al He α Ly αand He β represents Stark splitting and shifting profiles. Finally, these transitions follows the elliptic polarization of Stokes V profiles in the presence of electron beam fraction. A 3-dimensional representation of LDA shows that the presence of electron beam, reflects outward spiral turbulence. These spirals show the signature of Langmuir turbulence. These spirals are modeled with logistic growth of predator-prey model. This modeling suggests that the electron beams and ions represent the preys and predator, respectively and the center region of the spirals tends to have low temperatures of 50-100 eV.

Today a linear particle accelerator (linac), in which electric and magnetic fields are of vital importance, is one of the popular energy generation sources like Accelerator Driven System (ADS). A multipurpose, including primarily ADS, proton linac with energy of ~2 GeV is planned to constitute within the Turkish Accelerator Center (TAC) project collaborated by more than 10 Turkish universities. A Low Energy Beam Transport (LEBT) channel with two solenoids is a subcomponent of this linac. This solenoid channel transports the proton beam ejected by a proton source, and matches it with the Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) that is a subcomponent just after the LEBT. These solenoid magnets are used as focusing element to get the beam divergence and emittance growth under control. This paper includes settings of the LEBT solenoids with regard to beam dynamics, which investigates the beam particles motion in particle accelerators, for TAC proton linac done by using a beam dynamics simulation code PATH MANAGER. In this way, we have acquired the best possible beam quality on RFQ input plane as well as optimizing the LEBT line.

An essential advantage of the linac-ring type lepton-hadron colliders is the possibility of the construction of gamma-p, gamma-A and FELgamma-A colliders based on them. Today, eRHIC, THERA (TESLA on HERA)and Linac*LHC can be considered as realistic candidates for future lepton-hadron and photon hadron colliders. When it comes to factories, one can reach essentially higher luminosities comparing to standard ring-ring type machines.
