The absolute branching fractions of $D_{s1}(2536)^- \rightarrow \bar{D}^{*0}K^-$ and $D_{s2}^*(2573)^- \rightarrow \bar{D}^0K^-$ are measured for the first time to be $(35.9\pm 4.8\pm 3.5)\%$ and $(37.4\pm 3.1\pm 4.6)\%$, respectively. The measurements are in tension with predictions based on the assumption that the $D_{s1}(2536)$ and $D_{s2}^*(2573)$ are dominated by a bare $c\bar{s}$ component. The $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^-$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ cross sections are measured, and a resonant structure at around 4.6~GeV with a width of 50~MeV is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of $15σ$ in the $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ process. It could be the $Y(4626)$ found by the Belle collaboration in the $D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^{-}$ final state, since they have similar masses and widths. There is also evidence for a structure at around 4.75~GeV in both processes.

The STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R\&D program. This document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF, describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system, and discusses future plans for detector R\&D and physics case studies.

Strongly Rydberg-blockaded two-level atoms form a Rydberg superatom, which is excited only to a collective symmetrical Dicke state. However, emerging often in the alkali-earth atoms, the spontaneous decay from the Rydberg state to an additional pooling state renders the ensemble no longer a closed superatom. Herein we present a computationally-efficient model to characterize the interaction between a fully Rydberg-blockaded ensemble of $N$ $Λ$-type three-level atoms and a strong probe light field in a coherent state. The model enables us to achieve a decomposition of the coupled dynamics in the strong field limit, which significantly reduces the complexity of computing the $N$-body system evolution and paves a way for practical analysis in experiments. A quasi-steady-state power spectrum with multiple sidebands is found in the scattered field. The relative heights of the sidebands show a time dependence determined by the atomic relaxation, which illuminates potential applications of using the system in information transfer of quantum networks. With negligible dissipative flip** to the unsymmetrical states, the atomic relaxation time indicating a linearly increasing pooling state fraction is derived analytically as a function of the atom number.

It could provide useful information on the electromagnetic interaction between light and matter. Several aspects of many-body physics, such us electronic structures, electron momentum distributions, many-body interactions of bound electrons, \emph{etc}, can be revealed by Compton scattering experiments. In this work, we give a review on \emph{ab initio} calculation of Compton scattering process. Several approaches, including the free electron approximation (FEA), impulse approximation (IA), incoherent scattering function / incoherent scattering factor (ISF) and scattering matrix (SM) are focused in this work. The main features and available ranges for these approaches are discussed. Furthermore, we also briefly introduce the databases and applications for Compton scattering.

By using a multi-pulse excitation sequence to increase the detection sensitivity we could identify Rydberg-excitation-induced atom losses as low as $<1\%$. Based on an optical Bloch equation formalism, treating the Rydberg-Rydberg interaction on a mean-field level, the van der Waals coefficients are extracted from the observed dynamics, which agree fairly well with \emph{ab initio} calculations.

The millicharged particle has become an attractive topic to probe physics beyond the Standard Model. In direct detection experiments, the parameter space of millicharged particles can be constrained from the atomic ionization process. In this work, we develop the relativistic impulse approximation (RIA) approach, which can duel with atomic many-body effects effectively, in the atomic ionization process induced by millicharged particles. The formulation of RIA in the atomic ionization induced by millicharged particles is derived, and the numerical calculations are obtained and compared with those from free electron approximation and equivalent photon approximation. Concretely, the atomic ionizations induced by mllicharged dark matter particles and millicharged neutrinos in high-purity germanium (HPGe) and liquid xenon (LXe) detectors are carefully studied in this work. The differential cross sections, reaction event rates in HPGe and LXe detectors, and detecting sensitivities on dark matter particle and neutrino millicharge in next-generation HPGe and LXe based experiments are estimated and calculated to give a comprehensive study. Our results suggested that the next-generation experiments would improve 2-3 orders of magnitude on dark matter particle millicharge $δ_χ$ than the current best experimental bounds in direct detection experiments. Furthermore, the next-generation experiments would also improve 2-3 times on neutrino millicharge $δ_ν$ than the current experimental bounds.

We present the improved constraints on couplings of solar axions and more generic bosonic dark matter particles using 737.1 kg-days of data from the CDEX-1B experiment. The CDEX-1B experiment, located at the China **** Underground Laboratory, primarily aims at the direct detection of weakly interacting massive particles using a p-type point-contact germanium detector. We adopt the profile likelihood ratio method for analysis of data in the presence of backgrounds. An energy threshold of 160 eV was achieved, much better than the 475 eV of CDEX-1A with an exposure of 335.6 kg-days. This significantly improves the sensitivity for the bosonic dark matter below 0.8 keV among germanium detectors. Limits are also placed on the coupling $g_{Ae} < 2.48 \times 10^{-11}$ from Compton, bremsstrahlung, atomic-recombination and de-excitation channels and $g^{eff}_{AN} \times g_{Ae} < 4.14 \times 10^{-17}$ from a $^{57}$Fe M1 transition at 90\% confidence level.

In the present work, we study the atomic Compton Scattering which could have great impacts on dark matter direct detection experiments. We give a quantitative analysis of the Compton scattering energy spectrum for Si and Ge atomic systems. The theoretical results on Compton scattering are calculated within the frameworks of free electron approximation (FEA) and relativistic impulse approximation (RIA). The low-energy transfer and near photoionization threshold regions are especially considered in this work. In RIA calculation, to obtain the atomic ground states, we adopt an \emph{ab initio} calculation in the fully relativistic Dirac-Fock theory.

Relativistic impulse approximation (RIA) has been widely used in atomic, condensed matter, nuclear, and elementary particle physics. In former treatments of RIA formulation, differential cross sections for Compton scattering processes were factorized into atomic Compton profiles by performing further simplified approximations in the integration. In this study, we develop an ``exact'' numerical method without using any further simplified approximations or factorization treatments. The validity of the approximations and factorizations used in former RIA treatments can be tested using our approach. Calculations for C, Cu, Ge, and Xe atomic systems are carried out using Dirac-Fock wavefunctions, and comparisons between the proposed approach and former treatments of RIA are performed and discussed in detail. Numerical results indicate that these simplified approximations work reasonably in the Compton peak region, and our results have little difference with the best of the former RIA treatments in the entire energy region. While in regions far from the Compton peak, the RIA results become inaccurate, even when our ``exact'' numerical treatment is used.

The frequency and intensity dependence of the atom number enhancement, with respect to the non-repum** case, is well reproduced by a simple rate equation model, which also describes single-laser repum** schemes reported previously. The repum** scheme is limited by a weak additional loss channel into the long-lived $5\mathrm{s}5\mathrm{p}\,^3\mathrm{P}_0$ state. For low repum** intensities, the signature of a halo formed by magnetically trapped atoms in the metastable state is found.

With plasma shielding effects of the Debye-Hückel model, we investigate the relativistic photoionization processes of H, Nb$^{40+}$ and Pb$^{81+}$ plasmas in the H-isoelectronic series. The shielded nuclear potential of Yukawa-type experienced by the electron is parameterized by Debye-length $D$. To account for relativistic effects non- perturbatively, we solve the Dirac equation for the bound as well as continuum wavefunctions. Contributions from multipole fields are calculated for high incident photon energies, while the angular distribution and spin polarization parameters of photoelectrons are provided in the electric-dipole approximation. Our results of photoionization cross sections for the H plasma agree with other available theoretical calculations. We report on the realization of a transversely loaded two-dimensional magneto-optical trap serving as a source for cold strontium atoms. We analyze the dependence of the source's properties on various parameters, in particular the intensity of a pushing beam accelerating the atoms out of the source. An atomic flux exceeding $10^9\,\mathrm{atoms/s}$ at a rather moderate oven temperature of $500\,^\circ\mathrm{C}$ is achieved. The longitudinal velocity of the atomic beam can be tuned over several tens of m/s by adjusting the power of the pushing laser beam. The beam divergence is around $60$ mrad, determined by the transverse velocity distribution of the cold atoms. The slow atom source is used to load a three-dimensional magneto-optical trap realizing loading rates up to $10^9\,\mathrm{atoms/s}$ without indication of saturation of the loading rate for increasing oven temperature. The compact setup avoids undesired effects found in alternative sources like, e.g., Zeeman slowers, such as vacuum contamination and black-body radiation due to the hot strontium oven.

The results are the important inputs for R value and $J/ψ$ resonance parameter measurements.

SnSe monolayer with orthorhombic Pnma GeS structure is an important two-dimensional (2D) indirect band gap material at room temperature. Based on first-principles density functional theory calculations, we present systematic studies on the electronic and magnetic properties of X (X = Ga, In, As, Sb) atoms doped SnSe monolayer. The calculated electronic structures show that Ga-doped system maintains semiconducting property while In-doped SnSe monolayer is half-metal. The As- and Sb- doped SnSe systems present the characteristics of n-type semiconductor. Moreover, all considered substitutional do** cases induce magnetic ground states with the magnetic moment of 1μB. In addition, the calculated formation energies also show that four types of doped systems are thermodynamic stable. These results provide a new route for the potential applications of doped SnSe monolayer in 2D photoelectronic and magnetic semiconductor devices.

Understanding how virus capsids assemble around their nucleic acid (NA) genomes could promote efforts to block viral propagation or to reengineer capsids for gene therapy applications. We develop a coarse-grained model of capsid proteins and NAs with which we investigate assembly dynamics and thermodynamics. In contrast to recent theoretical models, we find that capsids spontaneously `overcharge'; i.e., the negative charge of the NA exceeds the positive charge on capsid. When applied to specific viruses, the optimal NA lengths closely correspond to the natural genome lengths. Calculations based on linear polyelectrolytes rather than base-paired NAs underpredict the optimal length, demonstrating the importance of NA structure to capsid assembly. These results suggest that electrostatics, excluded volume, and NA tertiary structure are sufficient to predict assembly thermodynamics and that the ability of viruses to selectively encapsidate their genomic NAs can be explained, at least in part, on a thermodynamic basis.

Abstract:
Using 106 $\times 10^{6}$ $ψ^{\prime}$ decays collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII, three decays of $χ_{cJ}$ ($J=0,1,2$) with baryon pairs ($\llb$, $\ssb$, $\SSB$) in the final state have been studied. The branching fractions are measured to be $\cal{B}$$(χ_{c0,1,2}\rightarrowΛ\barΛ) =(33.3 \pm 2.0 \pm 2.6)\times 10^{-5}$, $(12.2 \pm 1.1 \pm 1.1)\times 10^{-5}$,…

Upper limits on the branching fractions for the decays of $χ_{c1,2}\rightarrowΣ^{0}\barΣ^{0}$, $Σ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$, are estimated to be $\cal{B}$$(χ_{c1}\rightarrowΣ^{0}\barΣ^{0}) < 6.2\times 10^{-5}$, $\cal{B}$$(χ_{c2}\rightarrowΣ^{0}\barΣ^{0}) < 6.5\times 10^{-5}$, $\cal{B}$$(χ_{c1}\rightarrowΣ^{+}\barΣ^{-}) < 8.7\times 10^{-5}$ and $\cal{B}$$(χ_{c2}\rightarrowΣ^{+}\barΣ^{-}) < 8.8\times 10^{-5}$ at the 90% confidence level.

Abstract:
DJpsiFDC is an event generator package for the process $gg\to J/ψJ/ψ$. It generates events for primary leading-order $2\to 2$ processes. The package could generate a LHE document and this document could easily be embedded into detector simulation software frameworks. The package is produced in Fortran codes.
