Recently, there has been increased attention towards 3D imaging using single-pixel single-photon detection (also known as temporal data) due to its potential advantages in terms of cost and power efficiency. However, to eliminate the symmetry blur in the reconstructed images, a fixed background is required. This paper proposes a fusion-data-based 3D imaging method that utilizes a single-pixel single-photon detector and a millimeter-wave radar to capture temporal histograms of a scene from multiple perspectives. Subsequently, the 3D information can be reconstructed from the one-dimensional fusion temporal data by using Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Both the simulation and experimental results demonstrate that our fusion method effectively eliminates symmetry blur and improves the quality of the reconstructed images.

Magnetoresistance effects are crucial for understanding the charge/spin transport as well as propelling the advancement of spintronic applications. Here we report the coexistence of magnetic moment-dependent (MD) and magnetic field-driven (FD) unidirectional magnetoresistance (UMR) effects in CoFeB/InSb/CdTe heterostructures. The strong spin-orbital coupling of InSb and the matched impedance at the CoFeB/InSb interface warrant a distinct MD-UMR effect at room temperature, while the interaction between the in-plane magnetic field and the Rashba effect at the InSb/CdTe interface induces the marked FD-UMR signal that dominates the high-field region. Moreover, owning to the different spin transport mechanisms, these two types of nonreciprocal charge transport show opposite polarities with respect to the magnetic field direction, which further enable an effective phase modulation of the angular-dependent magnetoresistance. Besides, the demonstrations of both the tunable UMR response and two-terminal spin-orbit torque-driven magnetization switching validate our CoFeB/InSb/CdTe system as a suitable integrated building block for multifunctional spintronic device design.

A novel 3-D calorimeter, composed of about 7500 LYSO cubes, is the key and crucial detector of the High Energy cosmic-Radiation Detection (HERD) facility to be installed onboard the China Space Station. Energy deposition from cosmic ray in each LYSO cube is translated by multiple wavelength shifting (WLS) fibers for multi-range data acquisition and real-time triggering.
In this study, various methods of surface finish and encapsulation of the LYSO cube were investigated to optimize the amplitude from the WLS fiber end with the aim of improving the signal-to-noise ratio of Intensified scientific CMOS (IsCMOS) collection. The LYSO cube with five rough surfaces and a specular reflector achieves the maximum amplitude at the low-range fiber end, which is increased by roughly 44% compared to the polished cube with PTFE wrap**.
The non-uniformity of amplitude at different positions on the LYSO cube surface was measured by X-ray and the positional correlation factor was derived for the entire cube. A simulation based on HERD CALO was conducted, which revealed that both the LYSO cube with five rough surfaces and the cube with rough bottom face exhibit superior energy resolution for electrons compared to the other two configurations.

The STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R\&D program. This document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF, describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system, and discusses future plans for detector R\&D and physics case studies.

Epitaxial growth and controllable do** of wafer-scale single-crystal transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) are two central tasks for extending Moore's law beyond silicon. However, despite considerable efforts, addressing such crucial issues simultaneously under two-dimensional (2D) confinement is yet to be realized. Here we design an ingenious epitaxial strategy to synthesize record-breaking 4-inch single-crystal Fe-doped TMDCs monolayers on industry-compatible c-plane sapphire without miscut angle. In-depth characterizations and theoretical calculations reveal that the introduction of Fe significantly decreases the formation energy of parallel steps on sapphire surfaces and contributes to the edge-nucleation of unidirectional TMDCs domains (>99%). The ultrahigh electron mobility (~86 cm2 V -1 s-1) and remarkable on/off current ratio (~108) are discovered on 4-inch single-crystal Fe-MoS2 monolayers due to the ultralow contact resistance and perfect Ohmic contact with metal electrodes. This work represents a substantial leap in terms of bridging the synthesis and do** of wafer-scale single-crystal 2D semiconductors without the need for substrate miscut, which should promote the further device downscaling and extension of Moore's law.

We study the effect of the strain on the energy bands of TaIrTe4 sheet and the photocurrent in the Cu-TaIrTe4-Cu heterojunction by using the quantum transport simulations. It is found that the Weyl points can be completely broken with increasing of the strain along z dirction. One can obtain a large photocurrent in the Cu-TaIrTe4-Cu heterojunction in the absence of the strain. While the photocurrent can be sharply enhanced by the strain and reach a large value. Accordingly, the maximum values of the photocurrent can be explained in terms of the transitions between peaks of density of states and band structures. The strain-induced energy bands and photocurrent exhibit anisotropic behaviors. Our results provide a novel route to effectively modulate the energy bands and the photocurrent by utilizing mechanical methods for TaIrTe4-based devices.

Do** is of great importance to tailor the electrical properties of semiconductors. However, the present do** methodologies for organic semiconductors (OSCs) are either inefficient or can only apply to a small number of OSCs, seriously limiting their general application. Herein, we reveal a novel p-do** mechanism by investigating the interactions between the dopant trityl cation and poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT). It is found that electrophilic attack of the trityl cations on thiophenes results in the formation of alkylated ions that induce electron transfer from neighboring P3HT chains, resulting in p-do**. This unique p-do** mechanism can be employed to dope various OSCs including those with high ionization energy (IE=5.8 eV). Moreover, this do** mechanism endows trityl cation with strong do** ability, leading to polaron yielding efficiency of 100 % and do** efficiency of over 80 % in P3HT. The discovery and elucidation of this novel do** mechanism not only points out that strong electrophiles are a class of efficient p-dopants for OSCs, but also provides new opportunities towards highly efficient do** of OSCs.

We investigate theoretically the photoelectron momentum distribution (PMD) of the ionized atoms irradiated by a linearly polarized intense laser, focusing on the holography interference patterns in PMD that carry important information of the initial wavefunction of a tunneled electron and its experienced atomic potential in rescattering. With the help of Dyson series and semiclassical propagator, we calculate the scattering amplitudes in the cylindrical coordinate representation. In contrast to conventional recognitions that the photoelectron holography is the interference of two branches of electron trajectories, however, we find strikingly that infinite semiclassical trajectories can be deflected by the combined Coulomb potential and laser field into the same final momentum: The initial momenta are found to be distributed on a ring-shape curve in the transverse momentum plane and the initial positions of these trajectories are perpendicular to their initial momentum vectors. For the zero final transverse momentum, the above ring-source trajectories degenerate into the point-source axial caustic trajectories (or Glory trajectories) and the quantum interference of these trajectories will dramatically alter the scattering amplitudes that is termed as Glory rescattering effect. With following Berry's spirit of uniform approximation for Glory scattering in optics, we can finally derive a uniform formulation of the rescattering amplitude in the Bessel functions for the strong-field photoelectron holography (SFPH) patterns. Our results are in good agreement with solutions of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation and can account for recent photoelectron holography experiments. Important applications of our theory are also discussed.

Although nanodiamonds have long being considered as a potential tool for biomedical research, the practical in vivo application of nanodiamonds remains relatively unexplored. In this paper, we present the first application of in vivo MRI contrast enhancement using only iron embedded magnetic nanodiamonds. MR image enhancement was clearly demonstrated in the rendering of T2-weighted images of mice obtained using an unmodified commercial MRI scanner. The excellent contrast obtained using these nanodiamonds opens the door to the non-invasive in vivo tracking of NDs and image enhancement. In the future, one can apply these magnetic nanodiamonds together with surface modifications to facilitate drug delivery, targeted therapy, localized thermal treatment, and diagnostic imaging.

Angle-resolved second harmonic generation (SHG) spectra of ZnO microwires show characteristic Fano resonances in the spectral vicinity of exciton-polariton modes. The output SHG spectra after SHG interacting with exciton polariton shows a resonant enhancement peak accompanied by a suppression dip originating from the constructive and destructive interference respectively. It is demonstrated that the Fano line shape, and thus the Fano asymmetry parameter q, can be tuned by the phase-shift of the two channels. The phase-dependent q was calculated and the model describes our experimental results well. In particular, the phase-to-q relation unveil the crucial information about the dynamics of the system, e.g., defining the line shape of output SHG spectra in a superposition of quantum states.

Enabling the real-time tracing of delivery agents as they move through the body is crucial to the further development of boron neutron therapy. In this study, we fabricate highly bio-compatible boron-10 embedded nanodiamonds using physical ion implantation in conjunction with a two-step annealing process. A novel parallel plate model is proposed that divided the electron cloud into three parts at saturation, and it is studied in detail using both an analytical approach and PIC (Particle In Cell) code simulations. As one part of the electron cloud, ribbons modes are suggested by tracking the trajectory of individual particle, and the aim of this mode form is to simplify the progress of multipacting effect in the parallel plate so as to be eliminated by optimizing RF parameters. The micro-pulse electron gun (MPG) has demonstrated the potential to address the need for high peak and average current electron beams, hence studying the multipacting in MPG is essential. On the basis of multipacting studying in the parallel plate, it is clear that increasing the cavity voltage is of interest in yielding high quality beams in the gun.
