Inorganic scintillators are widely used for scientific, industrial and medical applications. The development of 3D printing with inorganic scintillators would allow fast creation of detector prototypes for registration of ionizing radiation, such as alpha and beta, gamma particles in thin layers of active material and soft X-ray radiation. This article reports on the technical work and scientific achievements that aimed at develo** a new inorganic scintillation filament to be used for the 3D printing of composite scintillator materials: study and definition of the scintillator composition; development of the methods for the inorganic scintillator filament production and further implementation in the available 3D printing technologies; study of impact of the different 3D printing modes on the material scintillation characteristics. Also, 3D printed scintillators can be used for creation of combined detectors for high-energy physics.

The results of calibration by cosmic muons of a shower lead-scintillation spectrometer of the sandwich type designed to work in high-intensity photon and electron beams with an energy of 0.1 - 1.0 GeV are presented. It was found that the relative energy resolution of the spectrometer depends on the angle of entry of cosmic muons into the spectrometer in the vertical plane and does not depend on the angle of entry in the horizontal plane. The relative energy resolution of the spectrometer was 16%. Placing an additional lead-scintillation assembly in front of the spectrometer improved the relative energy resolution of the spectrometer to 9%.

The energy calibration of the quasi-monochromatic electron beam of the Pakhra accelerator of the P. N. Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences using scintillation detectors with a thickness of 14.5, 20, 23.5 and 51.2 cm was performed. For electron beam energies up to about 100 MeV and scintillation detector thicknesses from 5 to 20 cm the accuracy of electron beam energy determination was 10 to 20%, respectively.

Presented are results of calibration, with a quasi-monochromatic electron beam, of a total absorption Cherenkov spectrometer based on the 14.8 X0 lead glass TF-1. It was found that the energy resolution of the spectrometer was 89% to 10% in the energy range of the electron beam E = 6 to 285 MeV, respectively.

The spontaneous genesis of hydrocarbons which comprise natural petroleum have been analyzed by chemical thermodynamic stability theory. The constraints imposed upon chemical evolution by the second law of thermodynamics are briefly reviewed; and the effective prohibition of transformation, in the regime of temperatures and pressures characteristic of the near-surface crust of the Earth, of biological molecules into hydrocarbon molecules heavier than methane is recognized.
A general, first-principles equation of state has been developed by extending scaled particle theory (SPT) and by using the technique of the factored partition function of the Simplified Perturbed Hard Chain Theory (SPHCT). The chemical potentials, and the respective thermodynamic Affinity, have been calculated for typical components of the hydrogen-carbon (H-C) system over a range pressures between 1-100 kbar, and at temperatures consistent with those of the depths of the Earth at such pressures. The theoretical analyses establish that the normal alkanes, the homologous hydrocarbon group of lowest chemical potential, evolve only at pressures greater than approximately thirty kbar, excepting only the lightest, methane. The pressure of thirty kbar corresponds to depths of approximately 100 km.
Special high-pressure apparatus has been designed which permits investigations at pressures to 50 kbar and temperatures to 2000 K, and which also allows rapid cooling while maintaining high pressures. The high-pressure genesis of petroleum hydrocarbons has been demonstrated using only the solid reagents iron oxide, FeO, and marble, CaCO3, 99.9% pure and wet with triple-distilled water.
