Motivated by the recent progress in develo** high-precision relativistic chiral nucleon-nucleon interactions, we study the antinucleon-nucleon interaction at the leading order in the covariant chiral effective field theory. The phase shifts and inelasticities with $J\leq 1$ are obtained and compared to their non-relativistic counterparts. For most partial waves, the descriptions of phase shifts and inelasticities in the leading-order covariant chiral effective field theory are comparable to those in the next-to-leading order non-relativistic chiral effective field theory, confirming the relatively faster convergence observed in the nucleon-nucleon sector. In addition, we search for bound states/resonances near the $\bar{N}N$ threshold and find several structures that can be associated with those states recently observed by the BESIII Collaboration.

Chiral trajectories of dynamically generated resonances are connected to the SU(3) breaking pattern and their nature. From an analysis of a recent LQCD simulation on the $πΣ-\bar{K}N$ scattering for $I=0$, and the study of the quark mass dependence of the octet baryons, we determine for the first time the trajectory of the two poles associated to the $Λ(1405)$ towards the symmetric point $(\mathrm{Tr}[M]=\mathrm{cte})$ accurately. Our result at unphysical pion mass is consistent with the lattice simulation at $m_π\simeq 200$ MeV and the extrapolation to the physical point, based on the NLO chiral lagrangian, agrees perfectly well with previous analyses of experimental data. Contrary to other works, we predict qualitatively similar trajectories at LO and up to NLO, being consistent with the dominance of the LO interaction. At the SU(3) symmetric point up to NLO, we obtain that the lower pole is located at $E^{(1)}=1595\pm8$ MeV, being a singlet representation, while the higher pole belongs to the octet with a mass $E^{(8)}=1600\pm4$ MeV. This can be tested in the future LQCD simulations.

There have been extended and heated discussions on the nature of the two exotic states, $Z_c(3900)$ and $Z_{cs}(3985)$, particularly whether they are resonances or virtual states. We demonstrate for the first time that the femtoscopic technique can be used to unambiguously distinguish between such two scenarios. More concretely, we show that the $D^0D^{*-}$/$D^0D_s^{*-}$ correlation functions are significantly different in the high-momentum region, especially in small collision systems of the order of 1 fm, as produced in pp collisions at the LHC, which can unambiguously tell whether $Z_c(3900)$/$Z_{cs}(3985)$ is a resonant or a virtual state. For the $Z_{cs}(3985)$, the $D^0D_s^{*-}$ results at zero momentum are significantly different in the two scenarios. We hope all these discoveries can stimulate further experimental studies and help clarify the nature of the many exotic states discovered.

In the past two decades, a plethora of hadronic states beyond the conventional quark model of $q\bar{q}$ mesons and $qqq$ baryons have been observed experimentally, which motivated extensive studies to understand their nature and the non-perturbative strong interaction. Since most of these exotic states are near the mass thresholds of a pair of conventional hadrons, the prevailing picture is that they are primarily hadronic molecules. In principle, one can verify the molecular nature of these states by thoroughly comparing their masses, decay widths, and production rates in a particular picture with experimental data. However, this is difficult or impossible. First, quantum mechanics allows for the mixing of configurations allowed by symmetries and quantum numbers. Second, data are relatively scarce because of their small production rates and the many difficulties in the experimental measurements. As a result, other alternatives need to be explored. This review summarizes three such approaches that can help disentangle the nature of the many exotic hadrons discovered. In the first approach, based on the molecular interpretations for some exotic states, we study the likely existence of multiplets of hadronic molecules related by various symmetries, such as isospin symmetry, SU(3)-flavor symmetry, heavy quark spin/flavor symmetry, and heavy antiquark diquark symmetry. In the second approach, starting from some hadronic molecular candidates, one can derive the underlying hadron-hadron interactions. With these interactions, one can study related three-body systems and check whether three-body bound states/resonances exist. In the third approach, one can turn to the femtoscopy technique to derive the hadron-hadron interactions, hence inaccessible. This technique provided an unprecedented opportunity to understand the interactions between unstable hadrons.

Nuclear saturation is a crucial feature in nuclear physics that plays a fundamental role in understanding various nuclear phenomena, ranging from properties of finite nuclei to those of neutron stars. However, a proper description of nuclear saturation is highly nontrivial in modern nonrelativistic~\textit{ab initio}~studies because of the elusive three-body forces. In this letter, we calculate the equation of state for nuclear matter in the relativistic Brueckner-Hartree-Fock (RBHF) framework with the leading order covariant chiral nuclear force. We show that a simultaneous description of the nucleon-nucleon scattering data and the saturation of the symmetric nuclear matter can be achieved. In this regard, the relativistic effects nicely explain the saturation of nuclear matter. As a result, the present study based on the covariant chiral nuclear force shows that in the RBHF framework, one can achieve saturation with a leading order covariant chiral nuclear force with only two-body forces, in contrast to the vast majorities of studies in the non-relativistic framework, where the next-to-next-to-leading order two-body and three-body chiral forces are needed. This study sets the foundation for studying nuclear saturation with the covariant chiral force in the RBHF framework, which allows for a systematic understanding of one of the key features of nuclear physics more microscopically.

The $DK$ interaction in isospin zero is known to be attractive to such an extent that a bound state can be generated, which can be associated with the mysterious $D_{s0}^*(2317)$. In this work, we calculate the $DK$ femtoscopic correlation function in the coupled-channel framework for different source sizes that can directly probe the strongly attractive $DK$ interaction, which is otherwise inaccessible due to the unstable nature of $D$ and $K$ mesons, and therefore can help elucidate the nature of $D_{s0}^*(2317)$. We further generalize the study of source size dependence to various interactions, ranging from repulsive, weakly attractive, moderately attractive, and strongly attractive, in a square-well model. The positions of the poles on the second Riemann sheet corresponding to the $Σ(1385)$ pole and the $Λ(1380)$ and $Λ(1405)$ poles as well as the couplings of these states to various channels are calculated. We find that the resonance positions and branching ratios are on average determined with about 20\% higher precision when including the KLOE and AMADEUS data. Additionally, for the first time, the correlations between the parameters of the poles are investigated and shown to be relevant. We also find that the $Σ(1385)$ has negligible influence on the properties of the $Λ$ states given the available data. Still, we identify isospin-1 cusp structures in the present solution in light of new measurements of $π^\pmΛ$ line-shapes by the Belle collaboration.

Chiral perturbation theory and its unitarized versions have played an important role in our understanding of the low-energy strong interaction. Yet, so far, such studies typically deal exclusively with perturbative or nonperturbative channels. In this letter, we report on the first global study of meson-baryon scattering up to one-loop order. It is shown that covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory, including its unitarization for the negative strangeness sector, can describe meson-baryon scattering data remarkably well. This provides a highly non-trivial check on the validity of this important low-energy effective field theory of QCD. We show that the $\bar{K}N$ related quantities can be better described in comparison with those of lower-order studies, and with reduced uncertainties due to the stringent constraints from the $πN$ and $K N$ phase shifts. In particular, we find that the two-pole structure of $Λ(1405)$ persists up to one-loop order reinforcing the existence of two-pole structures in dynamically generated states.

The new approach is able to well describe the charge radii of atomic nuclei with $A\ge40$ and $Z\ge20$. The standard root-mean-square (rms) deviation is $0.014$ fm for both the training and validation data. In particular, the predicted charge radii of proton-rich and neutron-rich calcium isotopes are found in good agreement with data. We further demonstrate the reliability of the BNN approach by investigating the variations of the rms deviation with extrapolation distances, mass numbers, and isospin asymmetries.

We revisit the $D_s^-D^{*0}$/$D_s^{*-}D^0$ interaction and the $Z_{cs}(3985)$ state in chiral effective field theory(EFT) up to the next-to-leading order. We examine the relative importance of the leading-order contact, one-eta exchange, next-to-leading-order contact, and two-kaon-exchange contributions. We show that the leading-order and next-to-leading-order contact contributions play the most important role such that the $Z_{cs}(3985)$ state qualifies as a $D_s^-D^{*0}$/$D_s^{*-}D^0$ resonance. On the other hand, the weak one-eta-exchange and weakly energy-dependent two-kaon-exchange contributions are less important in dynamically generating the $Z_{cs}(3985)$ state, indicating that chiral EFT is less predictive in the present situation. Furthermore, we apply the Bayesian method to estimate chiral truncation uncertainties and find that they are of similar magnitude as their statistical counterparts. Our study shows that if $Z_c(3900)$ exists, then SU(3)-flavor symmetry also predicts $Z_{cs}(3985)$ with a certain robustness, i.e., both can be accommodated in the chiral EFT with dominant contact contributions.

Our variational state is parameterized in terms of a permutationally-invariant part described by the Deep Sets neural-network architecture. The input coordinates to the Deep Sets are periodically transformed such that they are suitable to directly describe periodic bosonic systems. We show example applications to both one and two-dimensional interacting quantum gases with Gaussian interactions, as well as to $^4$He confined in a one-dimensional geometry. For the one-dimensional systems we find very precise estimations of the ground-state energies and the radial distribution functions of the particles. In two dimensions we obtain good estimations of the ground-state energies, comparable to results obtained from more conventional methods.

We calculate the nonperturbative two-pion exchange (TPE) contributions to the $NN$ interaction in covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory. We study how the nonperturbative resummation affects the $NN$ phase shifts for partial waves with $J \geq 3$ and $L \leq 6$. No significant differences are observed between the nonperturbative phase shifts and perturbative ones for most partial waves except for $^3D_3$, for which the nonperturbative resummation greatly improves the description of the phase shifts. However, a significant cutoff dependence is found for this partial wave and a reasonable description of the phase shifts can only be obtained with a particular cutoff. Furthermore, we compare the so-obtained nonperturbative phase shifts with those obtained in the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. We show that the contributions from relativistic nonperturbative TPE are more moderate than those from the nonrelativistic TPE obtained in the dimensional regularization scheme. A proper convergence pattern is observed for most of the partial waves studied except for $^3F_3$, $^3F_4$, and $^3H_6$, for which the subleading TPE contributions are a bit strong. We find that for $H$ and $I$ partial waves, the OPE alone can already describe the phase shifts reasonably well.

However, a precise description of the evolution of charge radii along an isotopic chain is highly nontrivial, as reinforced by recent experimental measurements. In this paper, we propose a novel approach which combines a three-parameter formula and a Bayesian neural network. We find that the novel approach can describe the charge radii of all $A\ge40$ and $Z\ge20$ nuclei with a root-mean-square deviation about 0.015 fm. In particular, the charge radii of the calcium isotopic chain are reproduced very well, including the parabolic behavior and strong odd-even staggerings. We further test the approach for the potassium isotopes and show that it can describe well the experimental data within uncertainties.

The measured branching fraction $\mathcal{B}[D_{s}^{+}\to a_{0}(980)^{+(0)}π^{0(+)},a_{0}(980)^{+(0)}\to π^{+(0)}η]$ is, however, found to be larger than those of known $W$-annihilation decays by one order of magnitude. This apparent contradiction can be reconciled if the two decays are induced by internal $W$-conversion or external $W$-emission mechanisms instead of $W$-annihilation mechanism. In this work, we propose that the $D^+_s$ decay proceeds via both the external and internal $W$-emission instead of $W$-annihilation mechanisms. In such a scenario, we perform a study of the $D^+_s \to π^+π^0η$ decay by taking into account the contributions from the tree diagram $D^+_s \to ρ^+ η\to π^+ π^0 η$ and the intermediate $ρ^+ η$ and $K^*\bar{K}/K\bar{K}^*$ triangle diagrams. The intermediate $a_0(980)$ state can be dynamically generated from the final state interactions of coupled $K \bar{K}$ and $πη$ channels, and it is shown that the experimental data can be described fairly well, which supports the interpretation of $a_0(980)$ as a molecular state.

We report a study of the processes of $e^+e^-\to K^+ (D_s^- D^{*0} + D^{*-}_s D^0)$ based on $e^+e^-$ annihilation samples collected with the BESIII detector operating at BEPCII at five center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.628 to 4.698 GeV with a total integrated luminosity of 3.7 fb$^{-1}$. An excess over the known contributions of the conventional charmed mesons is observed near the $D_s^- D^{*0}$ and $D^{*-}_s D^0$ mass thresholds in the $K^{+}$ recoil-mass spectrum for events collected at $\sqrt{s}=4.681$ GeV. The structure matches a mass-dependent-width Breit-Wigner line shape, whose pole mass and width are determined as $(3982.5^{+1.8}_{-2.6}\pm2.1)$ MeV/$c^2$ and $(12.8^{+5.3}_{-4.4}\pm3.0)$ MeV, respectively. The first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. The significance of the resonance hypothesis is estimated to be 5.3 $σ$ over the contributions only from the conventional charmed mesons. This is the first candidate of the charged hidden-charm tetraquark with strangeness, decaying into $D_s^- D^{*0}$ and $D^{*-}_s D^0$. However, the properties of the excess need further exploration with more statistics.

Employing the covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory, we calculate the leading and next-to-leading order two-pion exchange (TPE) contributions to $NN$ interaction up to order $O(p^3)$. We compare the so-obtained $NN$ phase shifts with $2\leq L\leq 6$ and mixing angles with $2\leq J\leq6$ with those obtained in the nonrelativistic baryon chiral perturbation theory, which allows us to check the relativistic corrections to the medium-range part of $NN$ interactions. We show that the contributions of relativistic TPE are more moderate than those of the nonrelativistic TPE. The relativistic corrections play an important role in F-waves especially the $^3\text{F}_2$ partial wave. Moreover, the relativistic results seem to converge faster than the nonrelativistic results in almost all the partial waves studied in the present work, consistent with the studies performed in the one-baryon sector.

Here we explore the possibility that two of these pentaquarks -- the $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$ -- contain in addition a $Λ_c(2595) \bar{D}$ component in P-wave. We will analyze the effects of this extra channel within two effective field theories: the first one will be a standard contact-range effective field theory and the second one will include the non-diagonal pion dynamics connecting the $Σ_c \bar{D}^*$ and $Λ_c(2595) \bar{D}$ channels, which happens to be unusually long-ranged. The impact of the coupled-channel dynamics between the $Σ_c \bar{D}^*$ and $Λ_c(2595) \bar{D}$ components is modest at best for the $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$, which will remain to be predominantly $Σ_c \bar{D}^*$ molecules. However, if the quantum numbers of the $P_c(4457)$ are $J^P = \frac{1}{2}^-$, the coupled-channel dynamics is likely to induce the binding of a $Λ_c(2595) \bar{D}$ S-wave molecule (coupled to $Σ_c \bar{D}^*$ in P-wave) with $J^P = \frac{1}{2}^+$ and a mass similar to the $P_c(4457)$. If this is the case, the $P_c(4457)$ could actually be a double peak containing two different pentaquark states.

We report on a theoretical study of the newly observed $Ω(2012)$ resonance in the nonleptonic weak decays of $Ω_c^0 \to π^+ \bar{K}Ξ^*(1530) (ηΩ) \to π^+ (\bar{K}Ξ)^-$ and $π^+ (\bar{K}Ξπ)^-$ via final-state interactions of the $\bar{K}Ξ^*(1530)$ and $ηΩ$ pairs. The weak interaction part is assumed to be dominated by the charm quark decay process: $c(ss) \to (s + u + \bar{d})(ss)$, while the hadronization part takes place between the $sss$ cluster from the weak decay and a quark-antiquark pair with the quantum numbers $J^{PC} = 0^{++}$ of the vacuum, produces a pair of $\bar{K}Ξ^*(1530)$ and $ηΩ$. Accordingly, the final $\bar{K}Ξ^*(1530)$ and $ηΩ$ states are in pure isospin $I= 0$ combinations, and the $Ω_c^0 \to π^+ \bar{K}Ξ^*(1530)(ηΩ) \to π^+ (\bar{K}Ξ)^-$ decay is an ideal process to study the $Ω(2012)$ resonance. With the final-state interaction described in the chiral unitary approach, up to an arbitrary normalization, the invariant mass distributions of the final state are calculated, assuming that the $Ω(2012)$ resonance with spin-parity $J^P = 3/2^-$ is a dynamically generated state from the coupled channels interactions of the $\bar{K}Ξ^*(1530)$ and $ηΩ$ in $s$-wave and $\bar{K}Ξ$ in $d$-wave. We also calculate the ratio, $R^{\bar{K}Ξπ}_{\bar{K}Ξ} = {\rm Br}[Ω_c^0 \to π^+ Ω(2012)^- \to π^+ (\bar{K}Ξπ)^-] / {\rm Br}[Ω_c^0 \to π^+ Ω(2012)^- \to π^+ (\bar{K}Ξ)^-$]. The proposed mechanism can provide valuable information on the nature of the $Ω(2012)$ and can in principle be tested by future experiments.

We study the scattering of a pseudoscalar meson off one ground state octet baryon in covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory (BChPT) up to the next-to-next-to-leading order. The inherent power counting breaking terms are removed within extended-on-mass-shell scheme. We perform the first combined study of the pion-nucleon and kaon-nucleon scattering data in covariant BChPT and show that it can provide a reasonable description of the experimental data. In addition, we find that it is possible to fit the experimental baryon masses and the pion-nucleon and kaon-nucleon scattering data simultaneously at this order, thus providing a consistent check on covariant BChPT. We compare the scattering lengths of all the pertinent channels with available experimental data and those of other approaches. In addition, we have studied the leading order contributions of the virtual decuplet and found that they can improve the description of the $πN$ phase shifts near the $Δ(1232)$ peak, while they have negligible effects on the description of the $K N$ phase shifts.

The contents of renormalization group invariance and equations under tight constraints are explored and demonstrated with closed-form on-shell $T$ matrices of pionless effective field theory for nuclear forces right within the effective field theory philosophy. The 'running' couplings under such tight constraints are presented in $^1S_0$ and uncoupled $P$ channels up to truncation order $\mathcal{O}(Q^4)$. Some linear relations are exposed and in turn employed in the pursuit of nonperturbative 'running' solutions which serves as an alternative choice without resorting to special prescription and additional operations or treatments. The utility of such 'running' behaviors inherent in the closed-form $T$-matrices of pionless effective field theory is remarked and a number of important issues related to effective field theory constructed with various truncations are interpreted or discussed from the underlying theory perspective.

The phase transition of nuclei to increasing angular momentum (or spin) and excitation energy is one of the most fundamental topics of nuclear structure research. The odd-N nuclei with A equal 160 are widely considered belonging to the well-deformed region, and their excitation spectra are energetically favored to exhibit the rotational characteristics. In the present work, however, there is evidence indicating that the nuclei can evolve from rotation to vibration along the yrast lines while increasing spin. The simple method, named as E-Gamma Over Spin (E-GOS) curves, would be used to discern the evolution from rotational to vibrational structure in nuclei as a function of spin. In addition, in order to get the insight into the rotational-like properties of nuclei, theoretical calculations have been performed for the yrast bands of the odd-A rare-earth nuclei using the total Routhian surfaces (TRS) model. The TRS plots indicate that the 165Yb and 157Dy isotopes have stable prolate shapes at low spin states. At higher rotational frequency (larger than 0.50 MeV), a distinct decrease in the quadrupole deformation is predicted by the calculations, and the isotopes becomes rigid in the gamma deformation.

We try to model strangeon matter in a sense of phenomenological liquid drop, with two free parameters: the mass per bayron of a strangeon in vacuum, $M$, and potential deep between strangeons, $ε$. It is found that, for $M\sim$ GeV and $ε\sim 100$ MeV, strangeon matter could be stable and its critical number could be as low as $A_{\rm c}=300$.

As a consequence of the mass difference of the $D_{s0}^*$($D_{s1}^*$) and $D$($D^*$) mesons, the range of the kaon exchange potential will be significantly longer than expected, corresponding to an effective mass of about $200\,{\rm MeV}$. The potential will be very strong: the strength of the interaction is proportional to $(m_{D_{s0}} - m_D)^2 / f_π^2$ and $(m_{D_{s1}} - m_{D^*})^2 / f_π^2$. This combination of range and strength almost guarantees the existence of $D_{s0}^*(2317) D$ and $D_{s1}^*(2460) D^*$ bound states with $J^P = 0^{-}$ and $J^P = 0^{-}, 2^{-}$ respectively. Concrete calculations indicate a binding energy of $5-15\,{\rm MeV}$ independently of $J^P$. The $D_{s0}^*(2317) D$ and $D_{s1}^*(2460) D^*$ molecules have manifestly exotic flavour quantum numbers: $C=2$, $S=1$ and $I=1/2$. We expect the existence of bottom counterparts composed of the $B B_{s0}$ and $B^* B_{s1}^*$ mesons, which will be more bound and have a richer spectrum that might include a shallow P-wave state and an excited S-wave state.

We discuss the effective field theory description of bound states composed of a heavy baryon and antibaryon. This framework is a variation of the ones already developed for heavy meson-antimeson states to describe the $X(3872)$ or the $Z_c$ and $Z_b$ resonances. We consider the case of heavy baryons for which the light quark pair is in S-wave and we explore how heavy quark spin symmetry constrains the heavy baryon-antibaryon potential. The one pion exchange potential mediates the low energy dynamics of this system. We determine the relative importance of pion exchanges, in particular the tensor force. We find that in general pion exchanges are probably non-perturbative for the $Σ_Q \barΣ_Q$, $Σ_Q^* \barΣ_Q$ and $Σ_Q^* \barΣ_Q^*$ systems, while for the $Ξ_Q' \barΞ_Q'$, $Ξ_Q^* \barΞ_Q'$ and $Ξ_Q^* \barΞ_Q^*$ cases they are perturbative If we assume that the contact-range couplings of the effective field theory are saturated by the exchange of vector mesons, we can estimate for which quantum numbers it is more probable to find a heavy baryonium state. The most probable candidates to form bound states are the isoscalar $Λ_Q \barΛ_Q$, $Σ_Q \barΣ_Q$, $Σ_Q^* \barΣ_Q$ and $Σ_Q^* \barΣ_Q^*$ and the isovector $Λ_Q \barΣ_Q$ and $Λ_Q \barΣ_Q^*$ systems, both in the hidden-charm and hidden-bottom sectors. The $Λ_c(2590) Σ_c$ system can exchange a pion near the mass-shell. Owing to the opposite intrinsic parity of the $Λ_c(2590)$ and $Σ_c$, the pion is exchanged in S-wave. This gives rise to a Coulomb-like force that might be able to bind the system. If one takes into account that the pion is not exactly on the mass shell, there is a shallow S-wave state, which we generically call the $Y_{cc}(5045)$ and $Y_{c\bar c}(5045)$ for the $Λ_c(2590) Σ_c$ and $Λ_c(2590) \barΣ_c$ systems respectively. For the baryon-antibaryon case this Coulomb-like force is independent of spin: the $Y_{c\bar c}(5045)$ baryonia will appear either in the spin $S=0$ or $S=1$ configurations with G-parities $G=(-1)^{L+S+1}$. For the baryon-baryon case the Coulomb-like force is attractive in the spin $S=0$ configuration, for which a doubly charmed molecule is expected to form near the threshold. This type of spectrum might be very well realized in other molecular states composed of two opposite parity hadrons with the same spin and a mass difference close to that of a pseudo-Goldstone boson, of which a few examples include the $Λ(1405) N$, $Λ(1520) Σ^*$, $Ξ(1690) Σ$, $D_{s0}^*(2317) D$ and $D_{s1}^*(2460) D^*$ molecules.

We discuss a scenario in which the $P_c(4450)^{+}$ heavy pentaquark is a $Σ_c \bar{D}^*$-$Λ_{c}(2595) \bar{D}$ molecule. The $Λ_{c1} \bar{D} \to Σ_c \bar{D}^*$ transition is mediated by the exchange of a pion almost on the mass shell that generates a long-range $1/r^2$ potential. This is analogous to the effective force that is responsible for the Efimov spectrum in three-boson systems interacting through short-range forces. The equations describing this molecule exhibit approximate scale invariance, which is anomalous and broken by the solutions. If the $1/r^2$ potential is strong enough this symmetry survives in the form of discrete scale invariance, opening the prospect of an Efimov-like geometrical spectrum in two-hadron systems. For a molecular pentaquark with quantum numbers $\frac{3}{2}^{-}$ the attraction is not enough to exhibit discrete scale invariance, but this prospect might very well be realized in a $\frac{1}{2}^{+}$ pentaquark or in other hadron molecules involving transitions between particle channels with opposite intrinsic parity and a pion near the mass shell. A very good candidate is the $Λ_{c}(2595) \barΞ_b - Σ_c \barΞ_b'$ molecule. Independently of this, the $1/r^2$ force is expected to play a very important role in the formation of this type of hadron molecule, which points to the existence of $\frac{1}{2}^{+}$ $Σ_c D^*$-$Λ_{c}(2595) D$ and $1^+$ $Λ_{c}(2595) Ξ_b - Σ_c Ξ_b'$ molecules and $0^{+}$/$1^{-}$ $Λ_{c}(2595) \barΞ_b - Σ_c \barΞ_b'$ baryonia.

Abstract:
A schematic model is presented that allows one to study the behavior of interacting pseudo-Fermi matter locked in a thermostatic box. As a function of the box volume and temperature, the matter is seen to show all of the familiar charactersitics of a Van der Waals gas, which include the coexistence of two phases under certain circumstances and the presence of a critical point.

Statistical fragment emission from excited nuclear systems is studied within the framework of a schematic Fermi-gas model combined with Weisskopf's detailed balance approach. The formalism considers thermal expansion of finite nuclear systems and pays special attention to the role of the diffuse surface region in the decay of hot equilibrated systems. It is found that with increasing excitation energy, effects of surface entropy lead to a systematic and significant reduction of effective emission barriers for fragments and, eventually, to the vanishing of these barriers. The formalism provides a natural explanation for the occurrence of negative nuclear heat capacities reported in the literature. It also accounts for the observed linearity of pseudo-Arrhenius plots of the logarithm of the fragment emission probability {\it versus} the inverse square-root of the excitation energy, but does not predict true Arrhenius behavior of these emission probabilities.

We investigate the nuclear shadowing mechanism in the context of perturbative QCD and the Glauber multiple scattering model. Using recent HERA data on nucleon structure function at small $x$, we put stringent constrains on the nucleon gluon density in the double-logarithm approximation. We suggest that the scaling violation of the nucleon structure function in the region of small $x$ and semihard scale $Q^2$ can be reliably described by perturbative QCD which is a central key to the understanding of the scale dependence of the nuclear shadowing effect. Our results indicate that while the shadowing of the quark density arises from an interplay between the ``soft'' and semihard QCD processes, the gluon shadowing is largely driven by a perturbative shadowing mechanism. We demonstrate that the gluon shadowing is a robust phenomenon at large $Q^2$ and can be unambiguously predicted by perturbative QCD.
