True muonium (TM) -- the bound state of $μ^+μ^-$ -- has not been discovered yet. It was demonstrated that searching for TM via $γγ$ fusions in heavy ion collisions is feasible due to the enhancement of the atom number. We study the production of the true para-muonium (pTM) in the collisions of linearly polarized photons in the experiments of heavy-ion collisions, calculate the production rate as well as the transverse spectrum of pTM, and explore the discovery potential in nuclear experiments. Our results show that there is a significant correlation between the linearly polarized photon distribution and the transverse momentum distribution of pTM. The optimal kinematic region of the generated pTM is identified, which can provide a theoretical guide to the detection of pTM in experiments.

A clear signal is observed with a statistical significance of $7.1σ$. The cross section of the reaction $Ξ^0+{^9\rm{Be}}\rightarrowΞ^-+p+{^8\rm{Be}}$ is determined to be $σ(Ξ^0+{^9\rm{Be}}\rightarrowΞ^-+p+{^8\rm{Be}})=(22.1\pm5.3_{\rm{stat}}\pm4.5_{\rm{sys}})$ mb at the $Ξ^0$ momentum of $0.818$ GeV/$c$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. No significant $H$-dibaryon signal is observed in the $Ξ^-p$ final state. This is the first study of hyperon-nucleon interactions in electron-positron collisions and opens up a new direction for such research.

Inspired by the recent precise data, we perform model-independently an isospin decomposition of the timelike octet baryons electromagnetic form factors. As noted in our previous work, the relative magnitude of isoscalar and isovector component is determined with the input of data on various isospin channels. Herein we further assert that {their relative phase can be constraint by the phase difference of oscillatory modulation of effective form factors} between isospin channels. The framework is extended to analyze the data of differential cross sections and applied to the form factors of nucleon and hyperons with detail and isospin non-conservation of charmonium decay into baryon-anti-baryon as well. We address that isospin analysis is meaningful when the isospin broken scale is compared to or smaller than the uncertainties of data.

A primary goal of the upcoming Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) is to measure the $\mathcal{O}(10)$ MeV neutrinos produced by a Galactic core-collapse supernova if one should occur during the lifetime of the experiment. The liquid-argon-based detectors planned for DUNE are expected to be uniquely sensitive to the $ν_e$ component of the supernova flux, enabling a wide variety of physics and astrophysics measurements. A key requirement for a correct interpretation of these measurements is a good understanding of the energy-dependent total cross section $σ(E_ν)$ for charged-current $ν_e$ absorption on argon. In the context of a simulated extraction of supernova $ν_e$ spectral parameters from a toy analysis, we investigate the impact of $σ(E_ν)$ modeling uncertainties on DUNE's supernova neutrino physics sensitivity for the first time. We find that the currently large theoretical uncertainties on $σ(E_ν)$ must be substantially reduced before the $ν_e$ flux parameters can be extracted reliably: in the absence of external constraints, a measurement of the integrated neutrino luminosity with less than 10\% bias with DUNE requires $σ(E_ν)$ to be known to about 5%. The neutrino spectral shape parameters can be known to better than 10% for a 20% uncertainty on the cross-section scale, although they will be sensitive to uncertainties on the shape of $σ(E_ν)$. A direct measurement of low-energy $ν_e$-argon scattering would be invaluable for improving the theoretical precision to the needed level.

Based on the realistic nuclear force of the high-precision CD-Bonn potential, we have performed comprehensive calculations for neutron-rich calcium isotopes using the Gamow shell model (GSM) which includes resonance and continuum. The realistic GSM calculations produce well binding energies, one- and two-neutron separation energies, predicting that $^{57}$Ca is the heaviest bound odd isotope and $^{70}$Ca is the dripline nucleus. Resonant states are predicted, which provides useful information for future experiments on particle emissions in neutron-rich calcium isotopes. Shell evolutions in the calcium chain around neutron numbers \textit{N} = 32, 34 and 40 are understood by calculating effective single-particle energies, the excitation energies of the first $2^+$ states and two-neutron separation energies. The calculations support shell closures at $^{52}$Ca (\textit{N} = 32) and $^{54}$Ca (\textit{N} = 34) but show a weakening of shell closure at $^{60}$Ca (\textit{N} = 40). The possible shell closure at $^{70}$Ca (\textit{N} = 50) is predicted.

Some interesting conclusions are inferred from this assumption. The $Z_2$(4250) would be assigned to be a $J^P = 1^+$ or $1^-$ state because of its absence in $η_{c}π^-$ invariant mass distribution, while $Z_1^+$(4050)/$Z_c^-$(4100) could be a $0^+$ or $1^-$ state but $2^+$ is unfavored because it would be coupled to $η_{c}π$ in $D$-wave. The null observation of $Z_1 Z_2$, $Z_1 Z_1$ and $Z_2 Z_2$ production in $e^+ e^-$ annihilation and $Υ(1S,2S)$ decay by Belle collaboration would further allocate the spin parity combination of $Z_1^+$(4050)/$Z_c^-$(4100) and $Z_2$(4250). Our deductions can be used to exclude a set of proposed models and could be further tested by future experiment, e.g. in $γγ$ collisions.

We attribute the non-vanishing cross section near threshold to be the contribution of below-threshold $φ$(2170) state, supporting its exotic structure. Above the threshold, we find significant role of a wide vector meson with the mass of around 2.34 GeV, which would be the same state present in $p\bar{p}$ annihilation reactions. As a result, we give a satisfactory description of the behavior of existing data without modifying pQCD expectation.

We study nuclear multipole resonances in the framework of the random phase approximation using the chiral potential NNLO$_{\text{sat}}$. This potential includes two- and three-body terms that has been simultaneously optimized to low-energy nucleon-nucleon scattering data and selected nuclear structure data. Our main foci have been the isoscalar monopole, isovector dipole, and isoscalar quadrupole resonances of the closed-shell nuclei, $^4$He, $^{16,22,24}$O, and $^{40,48}$Ca. These resonance modes have been widely observed in experiment. In addition, we use a renormalized chiral potential $V_{\text{low-}k}$, based on the N$^3$LO two-body potential by Entem and Machleidt [Phys. Rev. \textbf{C68}, 041001 (2011)]. This introduces a dependency on the cutoff parameter used in the normalization procedure as reported in previous works by other groups. While NNLO$_{\text{sat}}$ can reasonably reproduce observed multipole resonances, it is not possible to find a single cutoff parameter for the $V_{\text{low-}k}$ potential that simultaneously describe the different types of resonance modes. The sensitivity to the cutoff parameter can be explained by missing induced three-body forces in the calculations. Our results for neutron-rich $^{22,24}$O show a mixing nature of isoscalar and isovector resonances in the dipole channel at low energies. We predict that $^{22}$O and $^{24}$O have low-energy isoscalar quadrupole resonances at energies lower than 5 MeV.

Based on the effective Lagrangian approach, the $ J/ψ\to p \bar{p} φ$ decay is studied in an isobar resonance model with the assumption that the $φ$-meson is produced from intermediate nucleon resonances. The contributions from the $N^*_{1/2^-}(1535)$, $N^*_{3/2^+}(1900)$, $N^*_{1/2^-}(2090)$ and $N^*_{1/2^+}(2100)$ states are considered. In terms of the coupling constants $g^{2}_{φN N^{*}}$ and $g^{2}_{φN N^{*}}$ extracted from the data of the partial decay widths of the $N^*$s to the $Nπ$ channel, the reaction cross section of the $π^{-}p\rightarrow nφ$ process and the partial decay widths of the $J/ψ\rightarrow p\bar{p}η$ and $J/ψ\rightarrow p\bar{n}π^{-}$ processes, respectively, the invariant mass spectrum and the Dalitz plot for $ J/ψ\to p \bar{p} φ$ are predicted. It is shown that there are two types of results. In the type I case, a large peak structure around 2.09GeV implies that a considerable mount of $Nφ$ or $qqqs\bar s$ component may exist in the narrow-width $N^*_{1/2^-}(2090)$ state, but for the wide-width $N^*_{1/2^+}(2100)$ state, it has little $qqqs\bar s$ component. In the type II case, a small peak around 2.11GeV may only indicate the existence of a certain mount of $pφ$ or $qqqs\bar s$ component in the narrow-width $N^*_{1/2^+}(2100)$ state, but no information for the wide-width $N^*_{1/2^-}(2090)$ state. Further BESIII data with high statistics would help us to distinguish the strange structures of these $N^*$s.

We have extracted 565 neutron spectroscopic factors of sd and fp shell nuclei by systematically analyzing more than 2000 measured (d,p) angular distributions. We are able to compare 125 of the extracted spectroscopic factors to values predicted by large-basis shell-model calculations and evaluate the accuracies of spectroscopic factors predicted by different shell-model interactions in these regions. We find that the spectroscopic factors predicted for most excited states of sd-shell nuclei using the latest USDB or USDA interactions agree with the experimental values. For fp shell nuclei, the inability of the current models to account for the core excitation and fragmentation of the states leads to considerable discrepancies. In particular, the agreement between data and shell-model predictions for Ni isotopes is not better than a factor of two using either the GXPF1A or the XT interaction.
