Relativistic heavy-ion collisions give rise to the formation of both deconfined QCD matter and a strong magnetic field. The spin of heavy quarks is influenced by interactions with the external magnetic field as well as by random scatterings with thermal light partons. The presence of QCD matter comprising charged quarks can extend the lifetime and strength of the magnetic field, thereby enhancing the degree of heavy quark polarization. However, the random scatterings with QCD matter tend to diminish heavy quark polarization. In this study, we utilize the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert (LLG) equation to investigate both these contributions. Taking into account the realistic evolutions of medium temperatures and the in-medium magnetic fields at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider (RHIC) and the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), we observe that heavy quark polarization is limited by the short lifetime of the magnetic field and the high temperatures of the medium. Furthermore, we explore the mass dependence of quark polarization, revealing that the polarization degree of strange quarks is much larger than that of charm quarks.

Angular distribution analyses of the $ΔI = 1$ connecting transitions between the two chiral partners have revealed a dominant dipole character. Quasiparticle triaxial rotor model calculations are in good agreement with the experiment. This is the first time that both signatures of triaxiality--chirality and wobbling--have been observed in the same nucleus.

The static properties and dynamic evolution of bottomonium states in a hot QCD medium are investigated through the Schrödinger equation with complex heavy quark potentials, which are presented recently in lattice QCD study and with three different extractions. This approach builds a direct connection between the in-medium heavy quark potentials from the lattice QCD to the experimental observables. The yields and nuclear modification factors $R_{AA}$ of bottomonium in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=5.02~\rm TeV$ are calculated in this work. Our results show a large suppression of the bottomonium yield in heavy ion collisions due to the large imaginary potential. To understand bottomonium $R_{AA}$ based on lattice QCD potentials, we propose a fomration time for bottomonium states and find that experimental data can be well explained with the heavy quark potential extracted by the Padé fit, which shows no color screening in the real part potential.

A semiclassical approach is proposed to calculate the collective potential and mass parameters to formulate a collective Hamiltonian capable of describing the wobbling motion in both even-even and odd-mass systems. By diagonalizing the resulting collective Hamiltonian (CH), one can obtain the energies and wave functions associated with the wobbling states. Furthermore, a novel technique called spin squeezed state (SSS) maps is introduced based on the derived wave functions. To validate the results obtained from the collective Hamiltonian, a comparative analysis is conducted against predictions from the triaxial rotor model (TRM) and particle triaxial rotor (PTR) model. Notably, the SSS plots determined using the TRM and PTR models exhibit a strong correlation with the probability density distributions of the wave functions obtained from the CH. This correlation highlights the consistency and coherence between the different theoretical approaches when describing the wobbling phenomenon and associated rotational dynamics.

Understanding the polarization property of $J/ψ$ is critical to constrain its production mechanism. In addition, the polarization of $J/ψ$ can reveal the impact of strong electromagnetic and vorticity fields in relativistic heavy ion collisions. In this study, we analyzed the yield and polarization of $J/ψ$ in relativistic heavy ion collisions at different centrality and transverse momentum regions, using three different reference frames: the Collins-Soper frame, the helicity frame, and the event plane frame. The polarization of initially produced $J/ψ$ is determined by the NRQCD calculation and is similar to that of $pp$ collisions. However, both unpolarization and transverse polarization are considered for the regenerated $J/ψ$. Our results indicate that the polarization at high $p_T$ is similar to that observed in $pp$ collisions. However, at low $p_T$, where regenerated $J/ψ$ dominates, it is likely that the polarized charm quarks in the rotational QGP medium are responsible for this phenomenon. Our study supplies a baseline for future research on the effects of strong electromagnetic and vorticity fields on $J/ψ$ polarization.

The diffusion coefficient of heavy quarks in the deconfined medium is examined in this research using a deep convolutional neural network (CNN) trained with data from relativistic heavy ion collisions involving heavy flavor hadrons. The CNN is trained using observables such as the nuclear modification factor $R_{AA}$ and the elliptic flow $v_2$ of non-prompt $J/ψ$ from B-hadron decay in different centralities, where B meson evolutions are calculated using the Langevin equation and the Instantaneous Coalescence Model. The CNN outputs the parameters characterizing the temperature and momentum dependence of the heavy quark diffusion coefficient. By inputting the experimental data of non-prompt $J/ψ$ $(R_{AA}, v_2)$ from various collision centralities into multiple channels of the well-trained network, we derive the values of the diffusion coefficient parameters. Additionally, We evaluate the uncertainty in determining the diffusion coefficient by taking into account the uncertainties present in the experimental data $(R_{AA}, v_2)$, which serve as inputs to the deep neural network.

Heavy ion collisions provide a unique opportunity for studying the properties of exotic hadrons with two charm quarks. The production of $T_{cc}^+$ is significantly enhanced in nuclear collisions compared to proton-proton collisions due to the creation of multiple charm pairs. In this study, we employ the Langevin equation in combination with the Instantaneous Coalescence Model (LICM) to investigate the production of $T_{cc}^+$ and $Ξ_{cc}^{++}$ which consists of two charm quarks. We consider $T_{cc}^+$ as molecular states composed of $D$ and $D^*$ mesons. The Langevin equation is used to calculate the energy loss of charm quarks and $D$ mesons in the hot medium. The hadronization process, where charm quarks transform into each $D$ state as constituents of $T_{cc}^+$ production, is described using the coalescence model. The coalescence probability between $D$ and $D^*$ is determined by the Wigner function, which encodes the information of the $T_{cc}^+$ wave function. Our results show that the $T_{cc}^+$ production varies by approximately one order of magnitude when different widths in the Wigner function, representing distinct binding energies of $T_{cc}^+$, are considered. This variation offers valuable insights into the nature of $T_{cc}^+$ through the analysis of its wave function. The $Ξ_{cc}^{++}$ is treated as a hadronic state produced at the hadronization of the deconfined matter. Its production is also calculated as a comparison with the molecular state $T_{cc}^+$.

The cold nuclear matter effects happen before the formation of bottomonium, which is the same for different bottomonium states $Υ(1S,2S,3S)$. The sequential suppression pattern of bottomonium states is treated as a signal of the hot medium effects, where bottomonium states suffer different magnitudes of the color screening and parton inelastic scatterings due to their different geometry sizes and binding energies. Bottomonium excited states are more easily dissociated with smaller binding energy via the final-state interactions. We employ the Boltzmann transport model to study the charmonium regeneration with non-thermal charm quarks in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. As heavy quarks do not reach kinetic thermalization in the quark-gluon plasma (QGP), the final transverse momentum distribution of regenerated charmonium depends on the degree of charm quark kinetic thermalization. When the charm momentum distribution becomes harder, more charm quarks are distributed in the middle and high $p_T$, where the production of regenerated charmonium also becomes larger. With non-thermal momentum distribution of charm quarks in their coalescence process, the nuclear modification factor $R_{AA}(p_T)$ of charmonium enhances at middle $p_T$. Besides, the elliptic flow $v_2(p_T)$ of charmonium also enhances at middle $p_T$ as more regenerated charmonium are distributed in this $p_T$ region. The theoretical calculations with non-thermal charm distribution explain well the $p_T$ dependence of charmonium $R_{AA}$ and $v_2$, which indicates that charm quarks do not reach complete kinetic thermalization in the QGP when charmonium are regenerated.

The search for the chiral magnetic effect (CME) in relativistic heavy-ion collisions helps us understand the $\mathcal{CP}$ symmetry breaking in strong interactions and the topological nature of the QCD vacuum. Since the background and signal of the CME have different correlations with the spectator and participant planes, a two-plane method has been proposed to extract the fraction of the CME signal inside the CME observable of $Δγ$ from the experimental measurements relative to the two planes. Using a multiphase transport model with different strengths of the CME, we reexamine the two-plane method in isobar collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\rm NN}}} = 200$ GeV. The ratios of the CME signals and the elliptic flow backgrounds relative to the two different planes are found to be different, which is inconsistent with the assumptions made in the current experimental measurements. This difference arises from the decorrelation effect of the chiral magnetic effect relative to the spectator and participant planes caused by final state interactions. Our finding suggests that the current experimental measurements may overestimate the fraction of the CME signal in the CME observable in the final state of relativistic heavy-ion collisions.

After considering $μ_B$-corrections in both heavy quarkonium and the QGP medium, we calculate the nuclear modification factor $R_{AA}$ of charmonium. And find the $μ_B$ influence on charmonium production at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 39 and 14.5 GeV is negligible, while the $R_{AA}$ of charmonium is reduced considering $μ_B$ influence at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=7.7$ GeV Au-Au collisions. We review recent studies about anisotropic flows ($v_1, v_2, v_3$) of charmonium in the quark-gluon plasma produced in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. Collective flows of the bulk medium are developed due to the anisotropic pressure gradient of the medium. Strongly coupled with the bulk medium, charm quarks carry collective flows from the expanding medium, which will be inherited by the regenerated charmonium via the coalescence process. In event-by-event collisions where nucleon positions fluctuate from the smooth distribution, there is triangularity in the medium initial energy density. Triangular flows of the bulk medium and heavy flavor particles can be developed due to the initial fluctuations. In the longitudinal direction, the rapidity-odd distribution of the initial energy density is induced by the rotation of the medium in non-central heavy-ion collisions. Charmonium suffers biased dissociation along positive and negative $x$-directions in forward (backward) rapidity. The directed flow of charmonium becomes non-zero. The directed, elliptic and triangular flows ($v_1, v_2, v_3$) of charmonium come from the anisotropic initial distributions of the medium energy density in the transverse and longitudinal directions.

We employ the time-dependent Schrödinger equation with different complex potentials to study the bottomonium sequential suppression in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=2.76$ TeV and 5.02 TeV and Au-Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200$ GeV. Both color screening effect and the random scatterings with thermal partons are considered in the real and imaginary parts of the heavy-quark potentials. As the real part of the heavy-quark potential is between the free energy $F(T,r)$ and the internal energy $U(T,r)$ of heavy quarkonium, we parametrize different potentials with a function of $F$ and $U$ to evolve the bottomonium wave packages in the medium. We find that when the real part of the potential is close to $U(T,r)$, it can explain well the pattern of bottomonium sequential suppression where their nuclear modification factors satisfy the relation $R_{AA}(1s)>R_{AA}(2s)>R_{AA}(3s)$ observed in experiments. In the other limit of $F(T,r)$, bottomonium wave packages tend to expand due to weak attracted force, which results in evident transitions from $Υ(2s)$ to $Υ(3s)$ components and does not satisfy the sequential suppression pattern. We suggest that the bottomonium sequential suppression can be a probe of strong heavy-quark potential in the medium.

We study the charmonium dissociation in the hot medium with finite baryon chemical potential $μ_B$. Charmonium bound states are dissociated in the medium by the color screening effect and the random scatterings with thermal partons, which are included in the real and imaginary parts of the potential respectively. $J/ψ$ fraction in the $c\bar c$ pair defined to be the quantum overlap between the wave package and the wave function of $J/ψ$ eigenstate decreases with time due to the complex potentials. When $μ_B$ is large compared with the medium temperature, the Deybe mass is increased evidently. We consider $μ_B$-dependent Deybe mass in both real and imaginary parts of the potential to calculate the $J/ψ$ survival probability in the static medium and the Bjorken medium. $J/ψ$ survival probability is reduced evidently by the $μ_B$ effect at low temperatures available in the medium produced in Beam Energy Scan experiments, while this effect becomes not apparent at high temperatures.

We treat heavy quark as an open quantum system in the hot medium and rederive the Stochastic Schrödinger Equation (SSE) from the full Schrödinger equation for both heavy quarks and the medium. We apply the SSE to the dynamical evolutions of heavy quarks (as a system) in the static hot medium (as an environment). Heavy quarks interact with the medium via random scatterings, which exchange the momentum and phase factor randomly between two wave functions of the system and the environment. The exchange of momentum and phase factor results in the transition between different eigenstates of the system. These are included via an external stochastic potential in the Hamiltonian of SSE. Stochastic wave functions of heavy quarks are evolved with the stochastic external potential. The mean wave functions and the corresponding momentum distributions of heavy quarks are obtained after the ensemble average over a large set of stochastic wave functions. We present the thermalization of heavy quarks in the static medium with different coupling strength.

Color screening and parton inelastic scattering modify the heavy-quark antiquark potential in the medium that consists of particles from quantum chromodynamics (QCD), leading to suppression of quarkonium production in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. Due to small charm/anti-charm ($c\bar{c}$) pair production number in proton-nucleus (pA) collisions, the correlation between different $c\bar{c}$ pairs is negligible, which makes the Schrödinger equation viable for tracking the evolution of only one $c\bar{c}$ pair. We employ the time-dependent Schrödinger equation with in-medium $c\bar{c}$ potential to study the evolution of charmonium wave functions in the hydrodynamic like QCD medium produced in pA collisions. We explore different parametrizations of real and imaginary parts of $c\bar{c}$ potential and calculate the nuclear modification factors ($R_{\rm pA}$) of $J/ψ$ and $ψ(2S)$ in $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.02$ TeV energy p-Pb collisions at Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Comparing a strong and a weak screening scenario with experimental data in this approach, we arrive at the conclusion that the color screening is weak at temperature close to deconfined phase transition. Moreover, the imaginary part of the potential is crucial to describe the experimental data which is consistent with widely studied semi-classical approaches where the dissociation rates are essential.

We study the $B_c^+$ production in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.02$ TeV. In the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) produced in heavy-ion collisions, heavy quarks make random motions with the energy loss. We employ the Langevin equations to study the non-equilibrium distributions of heavy quarks and the Instantaneous Coalescence Model (ICM) to study the hadronization process. Due to abundant charm and bottom quarks in the QGP, their coalescence probability is significantly enhanced compared with the situations in proton-proton collisions. We find that the final production of $B_c^+$ is increased by the coalescence process, which makes the nuclear modification factor ($R_{AA}$) of $B_c^+$ larger than the unit. Our model explains the experimental data well at semi-central and central collisions. The observation of $R_{AA}(B_c^+)>1$ is regarded as an evident and strong signal of the existence of the deconfined medium generated in heavy-ion collisions.

It is found that the deformations are reduced when adding 2 or 8 $\la$ hyperons, but enhanced when adding 4 or 6 $\la$ hyperons. These differences are attributed to the fact that $\la$ hyperons are filled gradually into the three deformed $p$ orbits, of which the [110]1/2$^-$ orbit is prolately deformed and the degenerate [101]1/2$^-$ and [101]3/2$^-$ orbits are oblately deformed.

Heavy-ion collisions provide a unique opportunity to study the nature of X(3872) compared with electron-positron and proton-proton (antiproton) collisions. We investigate the centrality and momentum dependence of X(3872) in heavy-ion collisions via the Langevin equation and instant coalescence model (LICM). When X(3872) is treated as a compact tetraquark state, the tetraquarks are produced via the coalescence of heavy and light quarks near the quantum chromodynamic (QCD) phase transition due to the restoration of the heavy quark potential at $T\rightarrow T_c$. In the molecular scenario, loosely bound X(3872) is produced via the coalescence of $D^0$-$\bar D^{*0}$ mesons in a hadronic medium after kinetic freeze-out. We employ the LICM to explain both $D^0$ and $J/ψ$ production as a benchmark. Then we give predictions regarding X(3872) production and the nuclear modification factor $R_{AA}^{X(3872)}$. We find that the total yield of tetraquark is several times larger than the molecular production in Pb-Pb collisions. Although the geometric size of the molecule is huge, the coalescence probability is small due to strict constraints on the relative momentum between $D^0$ and $\bar D^{*0}$ in the molecular Wigner function, which significantly suppresses the molecular yield.

The $g$-factor of $^{105}\mathrm{Pd}$ increases with increasing $I$, due to the negative gyromagnetic ratio of a neutron valence-neutron. This behavior is in contrast to the decreasing $g$-factor of the other two nuclides, $^{135}$Pr and $^{187}$Au, which feature a valence-proton. The static quadrupole moment $Q$ depends on all three expectation values of the total angular momentum. It is smaller in the yrast band than in the wobbling band for the transverse wobblers $^{135}$Pr and $^{105}$Pd, while larger for the longitudinal wobbler $^{187}$Au.

New transitions in neutron rich $^{100}$Y have been identified in a $^9$Be+$^{238}$U experiment with mass- and Z- gates to provide full fragment identification. These transitions and high spin levels of $^{100}$Y have been investigated by analyzing the high statistics $γ$-$γ$-$γ$ and $γ$-$γ$-$γ$-$γ$ coincidence data from the spontaneous fission of $^{252}$Cf at the Gammasphere detector array. Two new bands, 14 new levels and 23 new transitions have been identified. The $K^π=4^+$ new band decaying to an 1s isomeric state is assigned to be the high-$K$ Gallagher-Moszkowski (GM) partner of the known $K^π=1^+$ band, with the $π5/2[522] \otimes ν3/2[411]$ configuration. This 4$^+$ band is also proposed to be the pseudo spin partner of the new $K^π=5^+$ band with a 5$^{+}$ $π5/2[422] \otimes ν5/2[413]$ configuration, to form a $π5/2[422] \otimes ν[312$ $5/2,3/2]$ neutron pseudospin doublet. Constrained triaxial covariant density functional theory and quantal particle rotor model calculations have been applied to interpret the band structure and available electromagnetic transition probabilities and are found in good agreement with experimental values.

We discuss in depth the application of the classical concepts for interpreting the quantal results from the triaxial rotor core without and with odd-particle. The corresponding limitations caused by the discreteness and finiteness of the angular momentum Hilbert space and the extraction of the relevant features from the complex wave function and distributions of various angular momentum components are discussed in detail. New methods based on spin coherent states and spin squeezed states are introduced. It is demonstrated that the spin coherent state map is a powerful tool to visualize the angular momentum geometry of rotating nuclei. The topological nature of the concepts of transverse and longitudinal wobbling is clarified and the transitional axis-flipregime is analysed for the first time.

An excess over the known contributions of the conventional charmed mesons is observed near the $D_s^- D^{*0}$ and $D^{*-}_s D^0$ mass thresholds in the $K^{+}$ recoil-mass spectrum for events collected at $\sqrt{s}=4.681$ GeV. The structure matches a mass-dependent-width Breit-Wigner line shape, whose pole mass and width are determined as $(3982.5^{+1.8}_{-2.6}\pm2.1)$ MeV/$c^2$ and $(12.8^{+5.3}_{-4.4}\pm3.0)$ MeV, respectively. The first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. The significance of the resonance hypothesis is estimated to be 5.3 $σ$ over the contributions only from the conventional charmed mesons. This is the first candidate of the charged hidden-charm tetraquark with strangeness, decaying into $D_s^- D^{*0}$ and $D^{*-}_s D^0$. However, the properties of the excess need further exploration with more statistics.

By modeling the motion of the nucleus in rotating mean field as the interplay between the single-particle motions of several valence particle(s) and hole(s) and the collective motion of a core-like part, a classical Routhian is extracted. This classical Routhian gives qualitative agreement with the 3D-TAC CDFT result for the critical frequency corresponding to the transition from planar to aplanar rotation. The newly observed chiral doublet bands in $^{137}$Nd represent an important support to the existence of multiple chiral bands in nuclei. Transport and Langevin equations are employed to study hadronic medium effects on charmonium elliptic flows in heavy-ion collisions. In Pb-Pb collisions, the anisotropic energy density of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) in the transverse plane is transformed into hadron momentum anisotropy after the phase transition. Charmonia with high transverse momentum $p_T$ are produced via the primordial hard process and undergo different degrees of dissociation along different paths in the QGP. They then scatter with light hadrons in the hadron phase. Both contributions to the charmonium elliptic flows are studied at moderate and high transverse momenta. The elliptic flows of the prompt $J/ψ$ are found to be considerably enhanced at high transverse momentum when the charmonium diffusion coefficients in the hadronic medium are parametrized through the geometry scale approximation. This hadronic medium effect is negligible for quarkonia with larger mass such as bottomonia.

The $g$-factor and static quadrupole moment for the wobbling mode in the nuclide $^{133}$La are investigated as functions of the spin $I$by employing the particle rotor model. The model can reproduce the available experimental data of $g$-factor and static quadrupole moment. The properties of the $g$-factor and static quadrupole moment as functions of $I$ are interpreted by analyzing the angular momentum geometry of the collective rotor, proton-particle, and total nuclear system. It is demonstrated that the experimental value of the $g$-factor at the bandhead of the yrast band leads to the conclusion that the rotor angular momentum is $R\simeq 2$. Furthermore, the variation of the $g$-factor with the spin $I$ yields the information that the angular momenta of the proton-particle and total nuclear system are oriented parallel to each other. The negative values of the static quadrupole moment over the entire spin region are caused by an alignment of the total angular momentum mainly along the short axis. Static quadrupole moment differences between the wobbling and yrast band originate from a wobbling excitation with respect to the short axis.

The static quadrupole moments (SQMs) of nuclear chiral doublet bands are investigated for the first time taking the particle-hole configuration $π(1h_{11/2}) \otimes ν(1h_{11/2})^{-1}$ with triaxial deformation parameters in the range $260^\circ \leq γ\leq 270^\circ$ as examples. The behavior of the SQM as a function of spin $I$ is illustrated by analyzing the components of the total angular momentum. It is found that in the region of chiral vibrations the SQMs of doublet bands are strongly varying with $I$, whereas in the region of static chirality the SQMs of doublet bands are almost constant. Hence, the measurement of SQMs provides a new criterion for distinguishing the modes of nuclear chirality. Moreover, in the high-spin region the SQMs can be approximated by an analytic formula with a proportionality to $\cosγ$ for both doublet bands. This provides a way to extract experimentally the triaxial deformation parameter $γ$ for chiral bands from the measured SQMs.

The effective field theory for collective rotations of triaxially deformed nuclei is generalized to odd-mass nuclei by including the angular momentum of the valence nucleon as an additional degree of freedom. The Hamiltonian is constructed up to next-to-leading order within the effective field theory formalism. The applicability of this Hamiltonian is examined by describing the wobbling bands observed in the lutetium isotopes $^{161,163,165,167}$Lu. It is found that by taking into account the next-to-leading order corrections, quartic in the rotor angular momentum, the wobbling energies $E_{\textrm{wob}}$ and spin-rotational frequency relations $ω(I)$ are better described than with the leading order Hamiltonian.

Two new bands built on the two-quasiparticle $π(h_{11/2})^2$ configuration of the even-even nucleus $^{130}$Ba are investigated using constrained triaxial covariant density functional theory combined with quantum particle rotor model calculations. The energy difference between the two bands, as well as the available electromagnetic transition probabilities $B(M1)_{\textrm{out}}/B(E2)_{\textrm{in}}$ and $B(E2)_{\textrm{out}}/B(E2)_{\rm{in}}$, are well reproduced. The analysis of the angular momentum geometry reveals that the higher band represents transverse wobbling motion of a two-quasiparticle configuration. This is the first example of two-quasiparticle wobbling bands in an even-even nucleus.

Charmonium directed flows are studied based on transport model coupled with the realistic three dimensional expansions of the bulk medium. The non-central symmetric nucleus-nucleus collisions can generate the rotating quark-gluon plasma (QGP) with symmetry-breaking longitudinal distributions. In $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200$ GeV Au-Au semi-central collisions, charmonium are primordially produced in the initial hard process, they are mainly dissociated by the initial tilted source with high temperatures and then move out of the bulk medium to keep the early information of the medium. Charmonia are less affected by the hydrodynamic expansions of QGP where its tilted shape is being diluted. This biased dissociation can generate directed flows of $J/ψ$ and $ψ(2S)$ which are much larger than the values of light charged hadrons and open heavy flavor. They are sensitive and clean to the effect of QGP rapidity-odd initial energy densities.

The newly observed M$χ$D bands in $^{135}$Nd represents an important milestone in supporting the existence of M$χ$D in nuclei.

A longitudinal wobbling-bands pair has been identified and clearly distinguished from the associated signature-partner band on the basis of angular distribution measurements. Theoretical calculations in the framework of the Particle Rotor Model (PRM) are found to agree well with the experimental observations. This is the first experimental evidence for longitudinal wobbling bands where the expected signature partner band has also been identified, and establishes this exotic collective mode as a general phenomenon over the nuclear chart.

The nuclear chiral conundrum with crossing twin bands is investigated with three-dimensional tilted axis cranking covariant density functional theory in a fully self-consistent and microscopic way. The energy spectra and electromagnetic transition strengths for bands 1 and 2 in Ag-106 are well reproduced with two distinct configurations with two and four quasiparticles, respectively. For the four-quasiparticle configuration, a chiral vibrational band on top of band 2 is expected due to the soft Routhian curves. Therefore, it provides a microscopic and solid solution for the chiral conundrum in Ag-106. It also paves the way for understanding similar chiral structure in other nuclei in the future..

The corresponding experimental energy spectra, energy differences between doublet bands, and the available $B(M1)/B(E2)$ values are successfully reproduced. The analyses on the basis of the angular momentum components, the azimuthal plots, and the $K$-plots suggest that the chiral modes exist at $I\geq 12\hbar$ in doublet bands M1 and M4.

Its properties are in agreement with the Fermi-aligned νh11/2^2 , 7/2+[523] \otimes 9/2-[514] Nilsson configuration. This is the first observation of a two-quasiparticle t-band in the A=130 mass region. The t-band is fed by a dipole band involving two additional h11/2 protons. The odd-spin partners of the proton and neutron S-bands and the ground-state band at high spins are also newly identified. The observed bands are discussed using several theoretical models, which strongly suggest the coexistence of prolate and oblate shapes polarized by rotation aligned two-proton and two-neutron configurations, as well as prolate collective rotations around axes with different orientations. With the new results, 130Ba presents one of the best and most complete sets of collective excitations that a gamma-soft nucleus can manifest at medium and high spins, revealing a diversity of shapes and rotations for the nuclei in the A = 130 mass region.

The behavior of the collective rotor in the chiral motion of triaxially deformed nuclei is investigated using the particle rotor model by transforming the wave functions from the $K$-representation to the $R$-representation. After examining the energy spectra of the doublet bands and their energy differences as functions of the triaxial deformation, the angular momentum components of the rotor, proton, neutron, and the total system are investigated. Moreover, the probability distributions of the rotor angular momentum ($R$-plots) and their projections onto the three principal axes ($K_R$-plots) are analyzed. The evolution of the chiral mode from a chiral vibration at the low spins to a chiral rotation at high spins is illustrated at triaxial deformations $γ=20^\circ$ and $30^\circ$.

Charmonia with different transverse momentum $p_T$ usually comes from different mechanisms in the relativistic heavy ion collisions. This work tries to review the theoretical studies on quarkonium evolutions in the deconfined medium produced in p-Pb and Pb-Pb collisions. The charmonia with high $p_T$ are mainly from the initial hadronic collisions, and therefore sensitive to the initial energy density of the bulk medium. For those charmonia within $0.1<p_T<5$ GeV/c at the energies of Large Hadron Collisions (LHC), They are mainly produced by the recombination of charm and anti-charm quarks in the medium. In the extremely low $p_T\sim 1/R_A$ ($R_A$ is the nuclear radius), additional contribution from the coherent interactions between electromagnetic fields generated by one nucleus and the target nucleus plays a non-negligible role in the $J/ψ$ production even in semi-central Pb-Pb collisions.
