The (Co)homology of the Deligne-Mumford Moduli Spaces of Marked Rational Curves
Abstract: This informal note collects key results and open problems on the (co)homology of the Deligne-Mumford moduli spaces of real marked rational curves. The open problems are both of topological nature, aiming to investigate the (co)homology of these spaces further, and of algebraic nature, aiming to describe the structure of the homology of these spaces in operad-like terms.

Abstract: Pseudocycles are geometric representatives for integral homology classes on smooth manifolds that have proved useful in particular for defining gauge-theoretic invariants. Basic Riemannian Geometry and Sobolev Estimates used in Symplectic Topology
Abstract: This note collects a number of standard statements in Riemannian geometry and in Sobolev-space theory that play a prominent role in analytic approaches to symplectic topology. These include relations between connections and complex structures, estimates on exponential-like maps, and dependence of constants in Sobolev and elliptic estimates.

On Transverse Triangulations
Abstract: We show that every smooth manifold admits a smooth triangulation transverse to a given smooth map. This removes the properness assumption on the smooth map used in an essential way in Scharlemann's construction [5].

Mirror Symmetry for Closed, Open, and Unoriented Gromov-Witten Invariants
Abstract: In the first part of this paper, we obtain mirror formulas for twisted genus 0 two-point Gromov-Witten (GW) invariants of projective spaces and for the genus 0 two-point GW-invariants of Fano and Calabi-Yau complete intersections. This extends previous results for projective hypersurfaces, following the same approach, but we also completely describe the structure coefficients in both cases and obt… ▽ More

A Comparison Theorem for Gromov-Witten Invariants in the Symplectic Category
Abstract: In this paper we exploit the geometric approach to the virtual fundamental class, due to Fukaya-Ono and Li-Tian, to compare the virtual fundamental classes of stable maps to a symplectic manifold and a symplectic submanifold whenever all constrained stable maps to the former are contained in the latter to first order. This extends versions of a statement well-known in the algebraic category to t… ▽ More

Enumerative Geometry of Calabi-Yau 5-Folds
Abstract: Gromov-Witten theory is used to define an enumerative geometry of curves in Calabi-Yau 5-folds. We find recursions for meeting numbers of genus 0 curves, and we determine the contributions of moving multiple covers of genus 0 curves to the genus 1 Gromov-Witten invariants. The resulting invariants, conjectured to be integral, are analogous to the previously defined BPS counts for Calabi-Yau 3 an… ▽ More

Some Properties of Hypergeometric Series Associated with Mirror Symmetry
Abstract: We show that certain hypergeometric series used to formulate mirror symmetry for Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces, in string theory and algebraic geometry, satisfy a number of interesting properties. Many of these properties are used in separate papers to verify the BCOV prediction for the genus one Gromov-Witten invariants of a quintic threefold and more generally to compute the genus one Gromov-Witten… ▽ More

Standard vs. Reduced Genus-One Gromov-Witten Invariants
Abstract: We give an explicit formula for the difference between the standard and reduced genus-one Gromov-Witten invariants. Combined with previous work on geometric properties of the latter, this paper makes it possible to compute the standard genus-one GW-invariants of complete intersections. In particular, we obtain a closed formula for the genus-one GW-invariants of a Calabi-Yau projective hypersurfa… ▽ More

Genus-Zero Two-Point Hyperplane Integrals in the Gromov-Witten Theory
Abstract: In this paper we compute certain two-point integrals over a moduli space of stable maps into projective space. Computation of one-point analogues of these integrals constitutes a proof of mirror symmetry for genus-zero one-point Gromov-Witten invariants of projective hypersurfaces. The integrals computed in this paper constitute a significant portion in the proof of mirror symmetry for genus-one… ▽ More
