Cross-sectional shape analysis for risk assessment and prognosis of patients with true lumen narrowing after type-A aortic dissection surgery
Abstract: Background: For acute type-A aortic dissection (ATAAD) surgery, early post-surgery assessment is crucially important for effective treatment plans, underscoring the need for a framework to identify the risk level of aortic dissection cases. On the $(\varphi,Γ)$-modules corresponding to crystalline representations
Abstract: Let $K$ be a mixed characteristic complete discrete valuation field with perfect residue field of characteristic $p$. We construct a new linear category called the category of crystalline $(\varphi,Γ)$-modules over $\widetilde{\mathbb{A}}_K^{+}$ and show that it is equivalent to the category of crystalline $\mathbb{Z}_p$-representations of the absolute Galois group of $K$. Two-level adiabatic transition probability for small avoided crossings generated by tangential intersections
Abstract: In this paper, the asymptotic behaviors of the transition probability for two-level avoided crossings are studied under the limit where two parameters (adiabatic parameter and energy gap parameter) tend to zero. Deriving two dualities simultaneously from a family of identities for multiple harmonic sums
Abstract: We give a new expression of the multiple harmonic sum, which serves as a refinement of the iterated integral expression of the multiple zeta value, and prove it using the so-called connected sum method. Based on this fact, by taking two kinds of limit operations, we obtain new proofs of both the duality for multiple zeta values and the duality for finite multiple zeta values.

On convolution closure properties of subexponentiality approaching from densities
Abstract: Non-closedness of subexponentiality by the convolution operation is well-known. We go a step further and show that subexponentiality and non-subexponentiality are generally changeable by the convolution. We also give several conditions, by which (non-) subexponentiality is kept. Most results are given with densities, which are easily converted to those for distributions. As a by-product, we give c… ▽ More

Uniqueness of limit flow for a class of quasi-linear parabolic equations
Abstract: We investigate the issue of uniqueness of the limit flow for a relevant class of quasi-linear parabolic equations defined on the whole space. More precisely, we shall investigate conditions which guarantee that the global solutions decay at infinity uniformly in time and their entire trajectory approaches a single steady state as time goes to infinity. Finally, we obtain a characterization of solu… ▽ More

The conjectures of Embrechts and Goldie
Abstract: It is shown that the class of convolution equivalent distributions and the class of locally subexponential distributions are not closed under convolution roots. Moreover, two sufficient conditions for the closure under convolution roots of the class of convolution equivalent distributions are given.

Two non-closure properties on the class of subexponential densities
Abstract: Relations between subexponential densities and locally subexponential distributions are discussed. It is shown that the class of subexponential densities is neither closed under convolution roots nor closed under asymptotic equivalence. A remark is given on the closure under convolution roots for the class of convolution equivalent distributions.

Finite type invariants of nullhomologous knots in 3-manifolds fibered over $S^1$ by counting graphs
Abstract: We study finite type invariants of nullhomologous knots in a closed 3-manifold $M$ defined in terms of certain descending filtration $\{\mathscr{K}_n(M)\}_{n\geq 0}$ of the vector space $\mathscr{K}(M)$ spanned by isotopy classes of nullhomologous knots in $M$. The filtration $\{\mathscr{K}_n(M)\}_{n \geq 0}$ is defined by surgeries on special kinds of claspers in $M$ having one special leaf. More… ▽ More

An invariant of fiberwise Morse functions on surface bundle over $S^1$ by counting graphs
Abstract: We apply Lescop's construction of $\mathbb{Z}$-equivariant perturbative invariant of knots and 3-manifolds to the explicit equivariant propagator of "AL-paths" given in arXiv:1403.8030. We obtain an invariant $\hat{Z}_n$ of certain equivalence classes of fiberwise Morse functions on a 3-manifold fibered over $S^1$, which can be considered as a higher loop analogue of the Lefschetz zeta function an… ▽ More

Rational points of universal curves in positive characteristics
Abstract: For the moduli stack $\mathcal{M}_{g,n/\mathbb{F}_p}$ of smooth curves over $\text{Spec}~\mathbb{F}_p$ with the function field $K$, we show that if $g\geq3$, then the only $K$-rational points of the generic curve over $K$ are its $n$ tautological points. Furthermore, we show that if $g\geq4$ and $n=0$, then Grothendieck's Section Conjecture holds for the generic curve over $K$. This is an extensio… ▽ More

Morse theory and Lescop's equivariant propagator for 3-manifolds with $b_1=1$ fibered over $S^1$
Abstract: For a 3-manifold $M$ with $b_1(M)=1$ fibered over $S^1$ and the fiberwise gradient $ξ$ of a fiberwise Morse function on $M$, we introduce the notion of amidakuji-like path (AL-path) on $M$. An AL-path is a piecewise smooth path on $M$ consisting of edges each of which is either a part of a critical locus of $ξ$ or a flow line of $-ξ$. Counting closed AL-paths with signs gives the Lefschetz zeta fu… ▽ More

Escape rates for multi-dimensional shift selfsimilar additive sequences
Abstract: First the relation between shift selfsimilar additive sequences and stationary sequences of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck type (OU type) on $\mathbb{R}^d$ is shown and then the rates of escape for shift selfsimilar additive sequences are discussed. As a corollary, fundamental problems on recurrence of stationary sequences of OU type are solved. Some applications to laws of the iterated logarithm for strictly… ▽ More

Global existence and decay estimates for the nonlinear wave equations with space-time dependent dissipative term
Abstract: We study the global existence and decay estimates for nonlinear wave equations with the space-time dependent dissipative term in an exterior domain. The linear dissipative effect may vanish in a compact space region. Moreover the nonlinear terms need not divergence form. For getting the higher order energy estimates, we introduce an argument using the rescaling. The method is useful to control der… ▽ More
