This comprehensive review paper delves into the intricacies of advanced Fourier type integral transforms and their mathematical properties, with a particular focus on fractional Fourier transform (FrFT), linear canonical transform (LCT), quadratic phase Fourier transform (QPFT), and their associated offshoots: windowed Fourier transform, wavelet transform, and Stockwell transform. In the pursuit of a deeper understanding of these transformations, we explore their convolution properties, shedding light on their capacity to define windowed, wavelet and Stockwell transforms in the realm of Fourier, fractional Fourier and quadratic phase Fourier transforms. This review also expands its purview to the realm of uncertainty principles. Several uncertainty principles, like Heisenberg, logarithmic, local, Rényi uncertainty principles, etc., within the context of fractional Fourier, linear canonical, and quadratic phase Fourier transforms, as well as their derivative offshoots are presented in the paper both for the functions of complex as well as quatenrion valued. In particular, the counterpart of several important inequalities of classical Fourier transform are also presented in details for the quaternion case. This article also reviews that multiresolution analysis that has been developed in the literature so far.

In the process of numerical solution, finite forward difference is applied to discretize the time derivative, Haar wavelet to spatial derivative and non-linear term is linearized by quasilinearization technique. To discuss the accuracy and efficiency of the method $L_{\infty}$ and $L_{2}$-error norm are computed and they are compared with some existing results. We have proved the convergence of the proposed method. Computer simulations show that the present method gives accurate and better result even for small number of grid points for small values of viscosity.

Results are compared with exact solutions in the case of IVP and BVP. In case of four point BVP we compare the result with other methods. Convergence of these methods is also established and found to be of second order. We observe that as resolution is increased to $J=4$ we get the exact values for IVPs and BVPs. For four point BVPs also at $J=4$, we get highly accurate solutions, e.g., the $L^\infty$ error is of order $10^{-16}$ or $10^{-17}$.

The non linear source term $ψ\in C(I\times\mathbb{R}\times\mathbb{R},\mathbb{R})$ is one sided Lipschitz in $u$ with Lipschitz constant $L_1$ and Lipschitz in $u'$ with Lipschitz function $L_2(x)$, where $L_2(x):I\rightarrow \mathbb{R}^+ $ such that $ L_2(0)=0$ and $L_2'(x)\geq 0$. The novelty in this paper allows us to use simplest form of computational iteration and existence is achieved with a restriction that $L_2$ depends on $x$. We develop monotone iterative technique in well ordered and reverse ordered cases. We prove maximum anti-maximum principle under certain assumptions and use it to show the monotonic behavior of sequences of upper and lower solutions. The conditions derived in this paper are sufficient and have been verified for two examples. The method involves Newton's quasilinearization which involves a parameter $k$ which is equivalent to $\dfrac{\partial ψ}{\partial u}$. Our aim is to find a range of $k$ so that the iterative technique is convergent.

The existence of numerical solutions to a fourth order singular boundary value problem arising in the theory of epitaxial growth is studied. An iterative numerical method is applied on a second order nonlinear singular boundary value problem which is the exact result of the reduction of this fourth order singular boundary value problem. It turns out that the existence or nonexistence of numerical solutions fully depends on the value of a parameter. We show that numerical solutions exist for small positive values of this parameter. For large positive values of the parameter, we find nonexistence of solutions. We also observe existence of solutions for negative values of the parameter and determine the range of parameter values which separates existence and nonexistence of solutions. This parameter has a clear physical meaning as it describes the rate at which new material is deposited onto the system. This fact allows us to interpret the physical significance of our results.

The existence and nonexistence of stationary radial solutions to the elliptic partial differential equation arising in the molecular beam epitaxy are studied. The fourth-order radial equation is non-self adjoint and has no exact solutions. Also, it admits multiple solutions. Furthermore, solutions depend on the size of the parameter. We show that solutions exist for small positive values of this parameter. For large positive values of this parameter, we prove the nonexistence of solutions. We establish the qualitative properties of the solutions and provide bounds for the values of this parameter, which help us to separate the existence from nonexistence. We propose a new numerical scheme to capture the radial solutions. The results show that the iterative method is of better accuracy, more convenient and efficient for solving BVPs, which have multiple solutions. We verify theoretical results by numerical results. Capturing solution near the singular point of any nonlinear SBVPs is challenging because coefficients involved in the differential equation blow up near singularities. In this article, we aim to construct a general method based on orthogonal polynomials as wavelets. We discuss multiresolution analysis for wavelets generated by orthogonal polynomials, e.g., Hermite, Legendre, Chebyshev, Laguerre, and Gegenbauer. Then we use these wavelets for solving nonlinear SBVPs. These wavelets can deal with singularities easily and efficiently. To deal with the nonlinearity, we use both Newton's quasilinearization and the Newton-Raphson method. To show the importance and accuracy of the proposed methods, we solve the Lane-Emden type of problems and compare the computed solutions with the known solutions. As the resolution is increased the computed solutions converge to exact solutions or known solutions. We observe that the proposed technique performs well on a class of Lane-Emden type BVPs. As the paper deals with singularity, non-linearity significantly and different wavelets are used to compare the results.

We show that this scheme allows microswimmers to find non-trivial paths, which enable them to reach a target on average in less time than a naive microswimmer, which tries, at any instant of time and at a given position in space, to swim in the direction of the target. We use pseudospectral direct numerical simulations (DNSs) of the 2D and 3D (incompressible) Navier-Stokes equations to obtain the turbulent flows. We then introduce passive microswimmers that try to swim along a given direction in these flows; the microswimmers do not affect the flow, but they are advected by it.

We analyze the existence of unique solutions of the following class of nonlinear three point singular boundary value problems (SBVPs), \begin{eqnarray*}\label{NL-Singular-P} &&-(x^α y'(x))'= x^αf(x,y),\quad 0<x<1,\\ &&y'(0)=0,\quad y(1)=δy(η), \end{eqnarray*} where $δ>0$, $0<η<1$ and $α\geq 1$. This study shows some novel observations regarding the nature of the solution of the nonlinear three point SBVPs. We observe that when $sup\left(\partial f/\partial y\right)>0$ for $α\in \cup_{n\in \mathbb{N}}\left(4n-1,4n+1\right)$ or $α\in\{1,5,9,\cdots\}$ reverse ordered case occur. When $sup\left(\partial f/\partial y\right)>0$ for $α\in \cup_{n\in \mathbb{N}}\left(4n-3,4n-1\right)$ or $α\in\{3,7,11,\cdots\}$ and when $sup\left(\partial f/\partial y\right)<0$ for all $α\geq 1$ well order case occur.
