Two models forsandpile growth in weighted graphs
Abstract: In this paper we study $\infty$-Laplacian type diffusion equations in weighted graphs obtained as limit as $p\to \infty$ to two types of $p$-Laplacian evolution equations in such graphs. We propose these diffusion equations, that are governed by the subdifferential of a convex energy functionals associated to the indicator function of the set… ▽ More

Torsional rigidity in random walk spaces
Abstract: In this paper we study the (nonlocal) torsional rigidity in the ambient space of random walk spaces. We get the relation of the (nonlocal) torsional rigidity of a set $Ω$ with the spectral $m$-heat content of $Ω$, what gives rise to a complete description of the nonlocal torsional rigidity of $Ω$ by using uniquely probability terms involving the set $Ω$; and recover the first eigenvalue of the non… ▽ More

A duality-based approach to gradient flows of linear growth functionals
Abstract: We study gradient flows of general functionals with linear growth with very weak assumptions. Classical results concerning characterisation of solutions require differentiability of the Lagrangian, as for the time-dependent minimal surface equation, or a special form of the Lagrangian as in the total variation flow. We propose to study this problem using duality techniques, give a general definiti… ▽ More

The Cheeger Cut and Cheeger Problem in Metric Graphs
Abstract: For discrete weighted graphs there is sufficient literature about the Cheeger cut and the Cheeger problem, but for metric graphs there are few results about these problems. Our aim is to study the Cheeger cut and the Cheeger problem in metric graphs. For that, we use the concept of total variation and perimeter in metric graphs introduced in \cite{Mazon}, which takes into account the jumps at the… ▽ More

The Total Variation Flow in Metric Graphs
Abstract: Our aim is to study the Total Variation Flow in Metric Graphs. First, we define the functions of bounded variation in Metric Graphs and their total variation, we also give an integration by parts formula. We prove existence and uniqueness of solutions and that the solutions reach the mean of the initial data in finite time. Moreover, we obtain explicit solutions.

The Neumann and Dirichlet problems for the total variation flow in metric measure spaces
Abstract: We study the Neumann and Dirichlet problems for the total variation flow in metric measure spaces. We prove existence and uniqueness of weak solutions and study their asymptotic behaviour. Furthermore, in the Neumann problem we provide a notion of solutions which is valid for $L^1$ initial data, as well as prove their existence and uniqueness. Our main tools are the first-order linear differential… ▽ More

The Anzellotti-Gauss-Green formula and least gradient functions in metric measure spaces
Abstract: In the framework of the first-order differential structure introduced by Gigli, we obtain a Gauss-Green formula on regular bounded open sets of metric measure spaces, valid for BV functions and vector fields with integrable divergence. Then, we study least gradient functions in metric measure spaces using this formula as the main tool.

On the $p$-Laplacian evolution equation in metric measure spaces
Abstract: The $p$-Laplacian evolution equation in metric measure spaces has been studied as the gradient flow in $L^2$ of the $p$-Cheeger energy (for $1 < p < \infty$). In this paper, using the first-order differential structure on a metric measure space introduced by Gigli, we characterize the subdifferential in $L^2$ of the $p$-Cheeger energy. This gives rise to a new definition of the $p$-Laplacian opera… ▽ More

$(s,p)$-harmonic approximation of functions of least $W^{s,1}$-seminorm
Abstract: We investigate the convergence as $p\searrow1$ of the minimizers of the $W^{s,p}$-energy for $s\in(0,1)$ and $p\in(1,\infty)$ to those of the $W^{s,1}$-energy, both in the pointwise sense and by means of $Γ$-convergence. We also address the convergence of the corresponding Euler-Lagrange equations, and the equivalence between minimizers and weak solutions. As ancillary results, we study some regul… ▽ More

The Dirichlet-to-Neumann operator associated with the $1$-Laplace operator and evolution problems
Abstract: We present first results on the Dirichlet-to-Neumann operator associated with the $1$-Laplace operator in $L^1$. In particular, we show that this operator can be realized as a sub-differential operator in $L^1\times L^{\infty}$ of a homogeneous convex, continuous functional with effective domain $L^1$. Even though the Dirichlet problem associated with the $1$-Laplace operator loses the property th… ▽ More
