Distributions and Legendrian foliations in dimension 3
Abstract: We study the field of rational first integrals of distributions. We show that for a distribution on 3 dimensional manifolds there exists a tangent vector field with the same field of first integrals. We also show a similar result for integrable distributions in any dimension.

Automorphisms of projective structures
Abstract: We study the problem of classifying local projective structures in dimension two having non trivial Lie symmetries. In particular we obtain a classification of flat projective structures having positive dimensional Lie algebra of projective vector fields.

Submanifolds with ample normal bundle
Abstract: We construct germs of complex manifolds of dimension $m$ along projective submanifolds of dimension $n$ with ample normal bundle and without non-constant meromorphic functions whenever $m \geq 2n$. We also show that our methods do not allow the construction of similar examples when $m < 2n$ by establishing an algebraicity criterion for foliations on projective spaces which generalizes a classical… ▽ More

Distributions, first integrals and Legendrian foliations
Abstract: We study germs of holomorphic distributions with "separated variables'. In codimension one, a well know example of this kind of distribution is given by the canonical contact structure on $\mathbb{P}^{2m+1}$ . Another example is the Darboux distribution, which gives the normal local form of any contact structure. Given a germ $D$ of holomorphic distribution with separated variables in… ▽ More

Neighborhoods of rational curves without functions
Abstract: We prove the existence of (non compact) complex surfaces with a smooth rational curve embedded such that there does not exist any formal singular foliation along the curve. In particular, at arbitray small neighborhood of the curve, any meromorphic function is constant. This implies that the Picard group is not countably generated.

Positive neighborhoods of curves
Abstract: In this work we study neighborhoods of curves in surfaces with positive self-intersection that can be embeeded as a germ of neighborhood of a curve on the projective plane.

Projective structures, neighborhoods of rational curves and Painlev'e equations
Abstract: We investigate the duality between local (complex analytic) projective structures on surfaces and two dimensional (complex analytic) neighborhoods of rational curves having self-intersection +1. We study the analytic classification, existence of normal forms, pencil/fibration decomposition, infinitesimal symmetries. We deduce some transcendental result about Painlev'e equations.

Comments: This version is a shortening of previous version v3. Some new results have been added, like prolongation of foliated structure in section 3.4, and non existence of foliated structure for many Painleve equations in section 6

The polar family of webs and foliations
Abstract: We define the polar curves and the polar family associated to a projective web and obtain some results about the geometry of the generic element of this family. We also deal with the particular case of foliations and prove the constancy of the topological embedded type of the generic polar.

Flat 3-webs of degree one on the projective plane
Abstract: The aim of this work is to study global $3$-webs with vanishing curvature. We wish to investigate degree $3$ foliations for which their dual web is flat. The main ingredient is the Legendre transform, which is an avatar of classical projective duality in the realm of differential equations. We find a characterization of degree $3$ foliations whose Legendre transform are webs with zero curvature.

Extactic divisors for webs and lines on projective surfaces
Abstract: Given a web (multi-foliation) and a linear system on a projective surface we construct divisors cutting out the locus where some element of the linear system has abnormal contact with the leaf of the web. We apply these ideas to reobtain a classical result by Salmon on the number of lines on a projective surface. In a different vein, we investigate the number of lines and of disjoint lines contain… ▽ More

Foliations and webs inducing Galois coverings
Abstract: We introduce the notion of Galois holomorphic foliation on the complex projective space as that of foliations whose Gauss map is a Galois covering when restricted to an appropriate Zariski open subset. First, we establish general criteria assuring that a rational map between projective manifolds of the same dimension defines a Galois covering. Then, these criteria are used to give a geometric char… ▽ More
