Darboux transformation of diffusion processes
Abstract: Darboux transformation of a second order linear differential operator is a well-known technique with many applications in mathematics and physics. We study Darboux transformation from the point of view of Markov semigroups of diffusion processes. We construct a Darboux transform of a diffusion process through a combination of Doob's $h$-transform and a version of Siegmund duality. Our main result… ▽ More

Extending the Meijer $G$-function
Abstract: By replacing the Euler gamma function by the Barnes double gamma function in the definition of the Meijer $G$-function, we introduce a new family of special functions, which we call $K$-functions. Mukai bundles on Fano threefolds
Abstract: We give a proof of Mukai's Theorem on the existence of certain exceptional vector bundles on prime Fano threefolds. To our knowledge this is the first complete proof in the literature. Categorical cones and quadratic homological projective duality
Abstract: We introduce the notion of a categorical cone, which provides a categorification of the classical cone over a projective variety, and use our work on categorical joins to describe its behavior under homological projective duality. In particular, our construction provides well-behaved categorical resolutions of singular quadrics, which we use to obtain an explicit quadratic version of the main theo… ▽ More

Gushel-Mukai varieties: moduli
Abstract: We describe the moduli stack of Gushel-Mukai varieties as a global quotient stack and its coarse moduli space as the corresponding GIT quotient. The construction is based on a comprehensive study of the relation between this stack and the stack of Lagrangian data; roughly speaking, we show that the former is a generalized root stack of the latter. As an application, we define the period map for Gu… ▽ More

On free regular and Bondesson convolution semigroups
Abstract: Free regular convolution semigroups describe the distribution of free subortinators, while Bondesson class convolution semigroups correspond to classical subordinators with completely monotone Levy density. We show that these two classes of convolution semigroups are in bijection with the class of complete Bernstein functions and we establish an integral identity linking the two semigroups. We pro… ▽ More

Derived categories of singular surfaces
Abstract: We develop an approach that allows to construct semiorthogonal decompositions of derived categories of surfaces with cyclic quotient singularities whose components are equivalent to derived categories of local finite dimensional algebras. We first explain how to induce a semiorthogonal decomposition of a surface $X$ with rational singularities from a semiorthogonal decomposition of its resolution.… ▽ More

Lower bound for the cost of connecting tree with given vertex degree sequence
Abstract: The optimal connecting network problem generalizes many models of structure optimization known from the literature, including communication and transport network topology design, graph cut and graph clustering, structure identification from data, etc. For the case of connecting trees with the given sequence of vertex degrees, the cost of the optimal tree is shown to be bounded from below by the so… ▽ More
