Jordan types of triangular matrices over a finite field
Abstract: Let $λ$ be a partition of an integer $n$ and ${\mathbb F}_q$ be a finite field of order $q$. Let $P_λ(q)$ be the number of strictly upper triangular $n\times n$ matrices of the Jordan type $λ$. It is known that the polynomial $P_λ$ has a tendency to be divisible by high powers of $q$ and $Q=q-1$, and we put $P_λ(q)=q^{d(λ)}Q^{e(λ)}R_λ(q)$, where $R_λ(0)\neq0$ and $R_λ(1)\neq0$. Branching Rules For Splint Root Systems
Abstract: A root system is splint if it is a decomposition into a union of two root systems. On q-analog of McKay correspondence and ADE classification of sl^(2) conformal field theories
Abstract: The goal of this paper is to classify ``finite subgroups in U_q sl(2)'' where $q=e^{πı/l}$ is a root of unity. We propose a definition of such a subgroup in terms of the category of representations of U_q sl(2); we show that this definition is a natural generalization of the notion of a subgroup in a reductive group, and that it is also related with extensions of the chiral (vertex operator) alg… ▽ More

Generalized Umemura polynomials
Abstract: We introduce and study generalized Umemura polynomials $U_{n,m}^{(k)}(z,w;a,b)$ which are a natural generalization of the Umemura polynomials $U_n(z,w;a,b)$ related to Painlevé $VI$ equation. We will show that if $a=b$, or $a=0$, or $b=0$ then polynomials $U_{n,m}^{(0)}(z,w;a,b)$ generate solutions to Painlevé $VI$. We will describe a connection between polynomials $U_{n,m}^{(0)}(z,w;a,0)$ and c… ▽ More

Ubiquity of Kostka polynomials
Abstract: We report about results revolving around Kostka-Foulkes and parabolic Kostka polynomials and their connections with Representation Theory and Combinatorics. It appears that the set of all parabolic Kostka polynomials forms a semigroup, which we call {\it Liskova semigroup}. We show that polynomials frequently appearing in Representation Theory and Combinatorics belong to the Liskova semigroup. A… ▽ More
