SKT solvable Lie algebras with codimension two nilradical
Abstract: In the present paper we study SKT and generalized Kähler structures on solvable Lie algebras with (not necessarily abelian) codimension two nilradical. We treat separately the case of $J$-invariant nilradical and non $J$-invariant nilradical. A classification of such SKT Lie algebras in dimension six is provided. CYT and SKT manifolds with parallel Bismut torsion
Abstract: In the present paper, we study compact complex manifolds admitting a Hermitian metric which is SKT and CYT and whose Bismut torsion is parallel. Finite time blow up for wave equations with strong dam** in an exterior domain
Abstract: We consider the initial boundary value problem in exterior domain for strongly damped wave equations with power type nonlinearity |u|^p. We will establish blow-up results under some conditions on the initial data and the exponent p.

Exact $G_2$-structures on unimodular Lie algebras
Abstract: We consider seven-dimensional unimodular Lie algebras $\mathfrak{g}$ admitting exact $G_2$-structures, focusing our attention on those with vanishing third Betti number $b_3(\mathfrak{g})$. We discuss some examples, both in the case when $b_2(\mathfrak{g})\neq0$, and in the case when the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$ is (2,3)-trivial, i.e., when both $b_2(\mathfrak{g})$ and $b_3(\mathfrak{g})$ vanish… ▽ More

Homogeneous 8-manifolds admitting invariant Spin(7)-structures
Abstract: We study compact, simply connected, homogeneous 8-manifolds admitting invariant Spin(7)-structures, classifying all canonical presentations G/H of such spaces, with G simply connected. For each presentation, we exhibit explicit examples of invariant Spin(7)-structures and we describe their type, according to Fernández classification. Finally, we analyse the associated Spin(7)-connection with torsi… ▽ More

Crepant Resolutions of $\mathbb{C}^3/\mathbb{Z}_4$ and the Generalized Kronheimer Construction (in view of the Gauge/Gravity Correspondence)
Abstract: As a continuation of a general program started in two previous publications, in the present paper we study the Kähler quotient resolution of the orbifold $\mathbb{C}^3/\mathbb{Z}_4$, comparing with the results of a toric description of the same. In this way we determine the algebraic structure of the exceptional divisor, whose compact component is the second Hirzebruch surface $\mathbb F_2$. We de… ▽ More

Solutions to the Hull-Strominger system with torus symmetry
Abstract: We construct new smooth solutions to the Hull-Strominger system, showing that the Fu-Yau solution on torus bundles over K3 surfaces can be generalized to torus bundles over K3 orbifolds. In particular, we prove that, for $13 \leq k \leq 22$ and $14\leq r\leq 22$, the smooth manifolds $S^1\times \sharp_k(S^2\times S^3)$ and $\sharp_r (S^2 \times S^4) \sharp_{r+1} (S^3 \times S^3)$, have a complex s… ▽ More

On $G_2$-structures, special metrics and related flows
Abstract: We review results about $G_2$-structures in relation to the existence of special metrics, such as Einstein metrics and Ricci solitons, and the evolution under the Laplacian flow on non-compact homogeneous spaces. We also discuss some examples in detail.

Dolbeault cohomology of complex nilmanifolds foliated in toroidal groups
Abstract: It is conjectured that the Dolbeault cohomology of a complex nilmanifold $X$ is computed by left-invariant forms. We prove this under the assumption that $X$ is suitably foliated in toroidal groups and deduce that the conjecture holds in real dimension up to six. Our approach generalises previous methods, where the existence of a holomorphic fibration was a crucial ingredient.
