Uniform bounds and the inviscid limit for the Navier-Stokes equations with Navier boundary conditions
Abstract: We consider the vanishing viscosity problem for solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations with Navier boundary conditions in the half-space. We lower the currently known conormal regularity needed to establish that the inviscid limit holds. Our requirement for the Lipschitz initial data is that the first four conormal derivatives are bounded along with two for the gradient. In addition, we establis… ▽ More

Fractional regularity, global persistence, and asymptotic properties of the Boussinesq equations on bounded domains
Abstract: We address the long-time behavior of the 2D Boussinesq system, which consists of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations driven by a non-diffusive density. We construct globally persistent solutions on a smooth bounded domain, when the initial data belongs to $(H^k\cap V)\times H^k$ for $k\in\mathbb{N}$ and $H^s\times H^s$ for $0<s<2$. The proofs use parabolic maximal regularity and specific co… ▽ More

Construction of the free-boundary 3D incompressible Euler flow under limited regularity
Abstract: We consider the three-dimensional Euler equations in a domain with a free boundary with no surface tension. We construct unique local-in-time solutions in the Lagrangian setting for $u_0 \in H^{2.5+δ}$ such that the Rayleigh-Taylor condition holds and $\mathrm{curl}\,u_0 \in H^{2+δ}$ in an arbitrarily small neighborhood of the free boundary. We show that the result is optimal in the sense that… ▽ More

On Asymptotic Properties of the Boussinesq Equations
Abstract: We address the long time behavior of the Boussinesq system coupling the Navier-Stokes equations driven by density with the non-diffusive equation for the density. We construct solutions of the system justifying previously obtained a priori bounds.
