Generalized Grothendieck's simultaneous resolution and associated varieties of simple affine vertex algebras
Abstract: The closure of a Diximier sheet is the image of a generalized Grothendieck's simultaneous resolution. We show that the associated variety of simple affine vertex algebras is contained in the closure of the Diximier sheet when a chiralization of generalized Grothendieck's simultaneous resolution exists. Abstract: Each flag manifold carries a unique algebra of chiral differential operators. Continuing along the lines of arXiv:0903.1281 we compute the vertex algebra structure on the cohomology of this algebra. The answer is: the tensor product of the center and a subalgebra; the center is isomorphic, as a commutative associative algebra, to the cohomology of the corresponding maximal nilpotent Lie algebra;… ▽ More

The linkage principle for restricted critical level representations of affine Kac-Moody algebras
Abstract: We study the restricted category O for an affine Kac--Moody algebra at the critical level. In particular, we prove the first part of the Feigin-Frenkel conjecture: the linkage principle for restricted Verma modules. Moreover, we prove a version of the BGGH-reciprocity principle and we determine the block decomposition of the restricted category O. For the proofs we need a deformed version of the c… ▽ More

A chiral Borel-Weil-Bott theorem
Abstract: We compute the cohomology of modules over the algebra of twisted chiral differential operators over the flag manifold. This is applied to (1) finding the character of $G$-integrable irreducible highest weight modules over the affine Lie algebra at the critical level, and (2) computing a certain elliptic genus of the flag manifold. The main tool is a result that interprets the Drinfeld-Sokolov redu… ▽ More

On the restricted Verma modules at the critical level
Abstract: We study the restricted Verma modules of an affine Kac-Moody algebra at the critical level with special emphasis on their Jordan-H"older multiplicities. The Feigin-Frenkel conjecture gives a formula for these multiplicities that involves the periodic Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. We prove this conjecture for all subgeneric blocks and for the case of anti-dominant simple subquotients.

Algebras of twisted chiral differential operators and affine localization of $\frak{g}$-modules
Abstract: We propose a notion of algebra of {\it twisted} chiral differential operators over algebraic manifolds with vanishing 1st Pontrjagin class. We show that such algebras possess families of modules depending on infinitely many complex parameters, which we classify in terms of the corresponding algebra of twisted differential operators. If the underlying manifold is a flag manifold, our construction… ▽ More

Representation theory of W-algebras, II: Ramond twisted representations
Abstract: We study the Ramond twisted representations of the affine W-algebra W^k(g,f) in the case that f admits a good even grading. We establish the vanishing and the almost irreducibility of the corresponding BRST cohomology. This confirms some of the recent conjectures of Kac and Wakimoto. In type A, our results give the characters of all irreducible ordinary Ramond twisted representations of W^k(sl_n… ▽ More

Characters of representations of affine Kac-Moody Lie algebras at the critical level
Abstract: We present an explicit character formula for the irreducible highest weight representations of the non-twisted affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra at the critical level which are integrable over the corresponding finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra.

Representation Theory of W-Algebras
Abstract: This paper is the detailed version of math.QA/0403477 (T. Arakawa, Quantized Reductions and Irreducible Representations of W-Algebras) with extended results; We study the representation theory of the W-algebra $W_k(g)$ associated with a simple Lie algebra $g$ (and its principle nilpotent element) at level k. We show that the "-" reduction functor is exact and sends an irreducible module to zer… ▽ More
