The properties of the pion quasiparticle in hot and dense isospin medium, including the temperature and isospin chemical potential dependence of their screening mass, pole mass and thermal width, as well as their relationships with the pion superfluid phase transition, are investigated in the framework of two-flavor ($N_{f}=2$) soft-wall AdS/QCD models. We extract the screening mass of the pion from the pole of the spatial two-point Retarded correlation function. We find that the screening masses of both neutral and charged pions increase monotonously with the increasing of temperature. However, the isospin chemical potential $μ_{I}$ would depress the screening masses of the charged pions, $m_{π^{\pm},\rm{scr}}$. With the increasing of $μ_{I}$, $m_{π^{\pm},\rm{scr}}$ monotonically decrease to zero on the boundary between the normal phase and the pion superfluid phase, while the screening mass of the neutral pion, $m_{π^0,\rm{scr}}$, remains almost unchanged. The pole mass $m_{\rm{pole}}$ and thermal width $Γ$ of the pion are extracted from the pole of temporal two-point Retarded correlation function, i.e., the corresponding quasi-normal frequencies, $ω=m_{\rm{pole}}-iΓ/2$. The results show that the pole masses of the three modes ($π^0, π^+, π^-$) are splitting at finite $μ_{I}$. The thermal widths of the three modes monotonically increase with temperature. Furthermore, the pole mass of $π^+$ decreases almost linearly with the increasing of $μ_{I}$ and reaches zero at $μ_{I}=μ_{I}^c$, It means that $π^+$ becomes a massless Goldstone boson of the pion superfluid phase transition.

It is controversial whether entanglement islands can exist in massless gravity theories. Recently, it is found that the massless entanglement island appears in wedge holography with DGP gravity on the branes. In this paper, we generalize the discussions to the codim-n holography named cone holography. For simplicity, we focus on the case with a codim-2 E brane and a codim-1 Q brane. We discuss the effective action, mass spectrum and holographic entanglement entropy for cone holography with DGP terms. We verify that there is massless gravity on the branes, and recover non-trivial entanglement islands and Page curves. Besides, we work out the parameter space which allows entanglement islands and Page curves. Compared with wedge holography, there are several new features. First, one can not add DGP gravity on the codim-2 E brane. That is because the energy density has to be a constant on codim-2 branes for Einstein gravity in bulk. Second, the Hartman-Maldacena surface ends only on the codim-1 Q brane. Third, the Hartman-Maldacena surface can be defined only in a finite time. We notice that this unusual situation also appears in AdS/dCFT and even in AdS/CFT. Fortunately, it does not affect the Page curve since it happens after Page time. Our results provide more support that the entanglement island is consistent with massless gravity theories.

In this paper, we investigate the classification of "large" black holes by using the local unitary operator (LU) entanglement classification of three qubits. We relate the LU entanglement classes of the GHZ SLOCC class of three qubits to different classes of "large" black holes. Thus, we partition "large" black holes into seven inequivalent families. We show that between two black holes with four non-vanishing charges $q_{0}$, $p^{1}$, $p^{2}$, and $p^{3}$, if the only difference is the signs of the charges, then they are LU equivalent. Thus, the partition of black holes is independent of the signs of the charges and is only related to the ratio of the absolute charges.

First, their mass $m$ obeys the so-called Gell-Mann-Oakes-Renner (GMOR) relation $f^2\,m^2=H\,\barσ$, with $f$ the Goldstone stiffness, $H$ the explicit breaking scale and $\barσ$ the spontaneous condensate. More recently, it has been shown that their dam** $Ω$ is constrained to follow the relation $Ω=m^2 D_\varphi$, where $D_\varphi$ is the Goldstone diffusivity in the purely spontaneous phase. Pions are the most paradigmatic example of pseudo-Goldstone modes and they are related to chiral symmetry breaking in QCD. In this work, we consider a bottom-up soft-wall AdS-QCD model with broken ${\rm{SU}}(2)_L \times {\rm{SU}}(2)_R$ symmetry and we study the nature of the associated pseudo-Goldstone modes -- the pions. In particular, we perform a detailed investigation of their dispersion relation in presence of dissipation, of the role of the explicit breaking induced by the quark masses and of the dynamics near the critical point. Taking advantage of the microscopic information provided by the holographic model, we give quantitative predictions for all the coefficients appearing in the effective description. In particular, we estimate the finite temperature behavior of the kinetic parameter $\mathfrak{r^2}$ defined as the ration between the Goldstone diffusivity $D_\varphi$ and the pion attenuation constant $D_A$. Interestingly, we observe important deviations from the value $\mathfrak{r^2}=3/4$ computed in chiral perturbation theory in the limit of zero temperature.

We model vacuum fluctuations in quantum gravity with a scalar field, characterized by a high occupation number, coupled to the metric. The occupation number of the scalar is given by a thermal density matrix, whose form is motivated by fluctuations in the vacuum energy, which have been shown to be conformal near a light-sheet horizon. For the experimental measurement of interest in an interferometer, the size of the energy fluctuations is fixed by the area of a surface bounding the volume of spacetime being interrogated by an interferometer. We compute the interferometer response to these "geontropic" scalar-metric fluctuations, and apply our results to current and future interferometer measurements, such as LIGO and the proposed GQuEST experiment.

The previous studies of the island and double holography mainly focus on codimension-one branes. This paper explores the island on the codimension-two brane in AdS/dCFT. The codimension-two brane is closely related to conical singularity, which is very different from the codimension-one brane. We analyze the mass spectrum of gravitons on the codimension-two brane and find that the larger the brane tension is, the smaller the gravitational mass is. The massless mode is forbidden by either the boundary or normalization conditions. We prove that the first massive gravitational mode is located on the codimension-two brane; the larger the tension, the better the localization. It is similar to the case of codimension-one brane and builds an excellent physical foundation for the study of black hole evolution on codimension-two branes. We find that the Page curve of eternal black holes can be recovered due to the island ending on the codimension-two brane. The new feature is that the extremal surface passing the horizon cannot be defined after some finite time in the no-island phase. Fortunately, this unusual situation does not affect the Page curve since it happens after Page time.

We report on the variation in the single-pulse emission from PSR J1900+4221 (CRAFTS 19C10) observed at frequency centered at 1.25 GHz using the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope. The integrated pulse profile shows two distinct components, referred to here as the leading and trailing components, with the latter component also containing a third weak component. The single-pulse sequence reveals different emissions demonstrating as nulling, regular, and bright pulses, each with a particular abundance and duration distribution. There also exists pulses that follow a log-normal distribution suggesting the possibility of another emission, in which the pulsar is radiating weakly. Changes in the profile shape are seen across different emissions. We examine the emission variations in the leading and trailing components collectively and separately, and find moderate correlation between the two components. The inclination angle is estimated to be about 7° based on pulse-width, and we discuss that nulling in this pulsar does not seem to show correlation with age and rotation period.

In this paper, we investigate AdS/BCFT for curvature-squared gravity. To warm up, we start with Gauss-Bonnet gravity. We derive the one point function of stress tensor and show that the central charge related to the norm of displacement operator is positive for the couplings obeying causality constraints. Furthermore, by imposing the null energy condition on the end-of-the-world brane, we prove the holographic g-theorem for Gauss-Bonnet gravity. This corrects a wrong point of view in the literature, which claims that the holographic g-theorem is violated for Gauss-Bonnet gravity. As a by-product, we obtain the boundary entropy and A-type boundary central charges in general dimensions. We also study AdS/BCFT for general curvature-squared gravity. We find that it is too restrictive for the shape of the brane and the dual BCFT is trivial if one imposes Neumann boundary conditions for all of the gravitational modes. Instead, we propose to impose Dirichlet boundary condition for the massive graviton, while imposing Neumann boundary condition for the massless graviton. In this way, we obtain non-trivial shape dependence of stress tensor and well-defined central charges. In particular, the holographic g-theorem is satisfied by general curvature-squared gravity. Finally, we discuss the island and show that the Page curve can be recovered for Gauss-Bonnet gravity. Interestingly, there are zeroth-order phase transitions for the Page curve within one range of couplings obeying causality constraints. Generalizing the discussions to holographic entanglement entropy and holographic complexity in AdS/CFT, we get new constraints for the Gauss-Bonnet coupling, which is stronger than the causality constraint.

The thermal properties of light mesons, including the temperature dependence of their masses (both screening and pole masses) and thermal widths, are studied in a two-flavor ($N_f=2$) soft-wall AdS/QCD model. By solving the spatial correlation functions, we extract the screening masses ($m_{\rm{scr}}$) from their poles. The screening masses of pseudo-scalar ($π$) and axial-vector ($a_1$) mesons increase almost monotonously with the increase of temperature. The screening masses of scalar ($σ$) and vector ($ρ$) mesons decrease at low temperature and increase at high temperature. The pole masses ($m_{\rm{pole}}$) and the thermal widths ($Γ$) are extracted from the temporal correlation functions and the corresponding spectral functions. The results indicate that the pole masses have local minima at low temperature and increase at high temperature. The thermal widths increase rapidly above the chiral crossover temperature $T_{cp}$, indicating the dissociations of mesons at high temperature. Furthermore, the degeneration of the chiral partners ($π$ and $σ$, $ρ$ and $a_1$) above $T_{cp}$ is observed from the screening and pole masses, revealing the chiral symmetry restoration at the hadronic spectrum level. Finally, we numerically verify that the spectral functions in the temporal regime are strongly related to the quasi-normal modes with complex frequencies $ω_0=m_{\rm{pole}}-i Γ/2$.

A quantum algorithm to simulate the real time dynamics of two-flavor massive Gross-Neveu model is presented in Schrodinger picture. We implement the simulation on a classic computer by applying the matrix product state representation. The real time evolutions of up to four particles on a site in initial state are figured out in space-time coordinate. The state evolutions are effectively affected by fermion mass and coupling constant of the model. Especially when the mass of fermion is small enough and the coupling is strong enough, the fundamental fermions evolve synchronistically in space from the two-fermion and four-fermion initial states. These are also the conditions on which the bound states made up of fundamental fermion pairs were found to arise automatically in the literatures.

Spectra of pions, which are known as the pseudo-Goldstone bosons of spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking, as well as their relationship with chiral phase transition and pion superfluidity phase transition, have been investigated in the framework of soft-wall AdS/QCD. In chiral limit, it is proved both numerically and analytically that pions are massless Goldstone bosons even at finite temperature, which was usually considered as an assumption in soft-wall models. Above $T_c$, at which chiral condensate $\langle \bar{q}q\rangle$ vanishes, the spectra of pions and scalar mesons merge together, showing the evidence of the restored chiral symmetry in hadronic spectrum level. Extending to finite quark mass, pion masses increase with quark mass. Further, it is more interesting to observe that the pole masses of pions decrease with temperature below $T_c$, which agrees with the analysis in Phys.Rev.Lett.88(2002)202302. Meanwhile, symmetry restoration above $T_c$ could be seen in the spectra of scalar and pseudo-scalar mesons. With finite temperature and isospin chemical potential $μ_I$, it is shown that the masses of charged pions would split. The mass of positive charged pion $π^+$ decreases almost linearly to zero when $μ_I$ grows to $μ_{I}^c$, where pion condensation starts to form. This reveals the Goldstone nature of $π^+$ after pion superfluidity transition, which are closely related to the experimental observation.

We study the phase transition between pion condensed phase and normal phase, as well as chiral phase transition in a two flavor($\mathcal{N}_f=2$) IR- improved soft-wall AdS/QCD model at finite isospin chemical potential $μ_I$ and temperature $T$. By self-consistently solving the equations of motion, we obtain the phase diagram in the plane of $μ_I$ and $T$. The pion condensation appears together with a massless Nambu-Goldstone boson $m_{π_1}(T_c, μ_I^c)=0$, which is very likely to be a second-order phase transition with mean-field critical exponents in small $μ_I$ region. When $T=0$, the critical isospin chemical potential approximates to vacuum pion mass $μ_I^c \approx m_0$. The pion condensed phase exists in an arched area and the boundary of the chiral crossover intersects the pion condensed phase at a tri-critical point. Qualitatively, the results are in good agreement with previous studies from Lattice simulations and model calculations.

Gravitational shockwaves are insensitive to higher-curvature corrections in the action. Recent work found that the OPE coefficients of lowest-twist multi-stress-tensor operators, computed holographically in a planar black hole background, are insensitive as well. In this paper, we analyze the relation between these two limits. We explicitly evaluate the two-point function on a shockwave background to all orders in a large central charge expansion. In the geodesic limit, we find that the ANEC exponentiates in the multi-stress-tensor sector. To compare with the black hole limit, we obtain a recursion relation for the lowest-twist products of two stress tensors in a spherical black hole background, letting us efficiently compute their OPE coefficients and prove their insensitivity to higher curvature terms. After resumming the lowest-twist stress-tensors and analytically continuing their contributions to the Regge limit, we find a perfect agreement with the shockwave computation. We also discuss the role of double-trace operators, global degenerate states, and multi-stress-tensor conformal blocks. These holographic results suggest the existence of a larger universal structure in higher-dimensional CFTs.

Recently it is found that Weyl anomaly leads to new anomalous currents in an external electromagnetic field in the curved spacetime. For simplicity, the initial works mainly focus on weak gravitational fields and the anomalous current is obtained for conformally flat spaces with small scale factors. In this paper, we generalize the results to the case with arbitrary scale factors. Firstly, we derive the transformation law of current under Weyl transformation, from which one can read off the anomalous current in general conformally flat spaces. Secondly, by using the Weyl transformation of currents we provide a new derivation of the Weyl-anomaly-induced current near the boundary. Thus we have obtained the two kinds of anomalous currents in the literature from a unified formula. Finally, we extend the discussions to n-form fields and find similar anomalous currents.

We find inverse magnetic catalysis for $B<B_c$ and magnetic catalysis for $B>B_c$, where $B_c$ is the pseudocritical magnetic field. The transition between these two regimes is a crossover and occurs at $B=B_c$, which depends on the fermion mass and temperature. We also find spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking (the chiral condensate $σ\not=0$) at $T=0$ in the chiral limit ($m_q\to 0$) and chiral symmetry restoration for finite temperatures. We observe that changing the $k$ parameter of the dilaton profile only affects the overall scales of the system such as $B_c$ and $σ$. For instance, by increasing $k$ one sees an increase of $B_c$ and $σ$. This suggests that increasing the parameters $k_1$ and $k_2$ will decrease the values of $B_c$ and $σ$.

By self-consistently solve the equation of motion, we obtain the phase boundary of pion condensation phase, across which the system undergoes a phase transition between pion condensation phase and normal phase. Comparing the free energy of solutions with and without pion condensation, we find that the phase transition is of first order type both at large $μ_I$ and small $μ_I$. Qualitatively, the behavior at large $μ_I$ is in agreement with the lattice simulation in Phys.Rev.D66(2002)034505, while the behavior at small $μ_I$ is different from lattice simulations and previous studies in hard wall AdS/QCD model. This indicates that a full back-reaction model including the interaction of gluo-dynamics and chiral dynamics might be necessary to describe the small $μ_I$ pion condensation phase. This study could provide certain clues to build a more realistic holographic model.

A quantum algorithm of SU(N) Yang-Mills theory is formulated in terms of quantum circuits. It can nonperturbatively calculate the Dyson series and scattering amplitudes with polynomial complexity. The gauge fields in the interaction picture are discretized on the same footing with the lattice fermions in momentum space to avoid the fermion doubling and the gauge symmetry breaking problems. Applying the algorithm to the quantum simulation of quantum chromodynamics, the quark and gluon's wave functions evolved from the initial states by the interactions can be observed and the information from wave functions can be extracted at any discrete time. This may help us understand the natures of the hadronization which has been an outstanding question of significant implication on high energy phenomenological studies.

We present direct, and in certain cases nonperturbative, calculations for both the diagonal and off- diagonal variational derivatives of entanglement entropy. In d > 2, we find that the QNEC is saturated. We compute relations between the off-diagonal variation of entanglement, boundary relative entropy, and the bulk stress tensor. Strong subadditivity then leads to energy conditions in the bulk. In d = 2, we find that the QNEC is in general not saturated when the Ryu-Takayanagi surface intersects bulk matter. Moreover, when bulk matter is present the QNEC can imply new bulk energy conditions. For a simple class of states, we derive an example that is stronger than the bulk averaged null energy condition and reduces to it in certain limits.

We recently used Virasoro symmetry considerations to propose an exact formula for a bulk proto-field $φ$ in AdS$_3$. In this paper we study the propagator $\langle φφ\rangle$. We show that many techniques from the study of conformal blocks can be generalized to compute it, including the semiclassical monodromy method and both forms of the Zamolodchikov recursion relations. When the results from recursion are expanded at large central charge, they match gravitational perturbation theory for a free scalar field coupled to gravity in our chosen gauge.
We find that although the propagator is finite and well-defined at long distances, its perturbative expansion in $G_N = \frac{3}{2c}$ exhibits UV/IR mixing effects. If we nevertheless interpret $\langle φφ\rangle$ as a probe of bulk locality, then when $G_N m_φ\ll 1$ locality breaks down at the new short-distance scale $σ_* \sim \sqrt[4]{G_N R_{AdS}^3}$. For $φ$ with very large bulk mass, or at small central charge, bulk locality fails at the AdS length scale. In all cases, locality `breakdown' manifests as singularities or branch cuts at spacelike separation arising from non-perturbative quantum gravitational effects.

We investigate the baryon number susceptibilities up to fourth order along different freeze-out lines in a holographic QCD model with the critical end point (CEP), and we propose that the peaked baryon number susceptibilities along the freeze-out line can be used as a clean signature to locate the CEP in the QCD phase diagram. On the temperature and baryon chemical potential plane, the ratio of the baryon number susceptibilities (up to fourth order) forms a ridge along the phase boundary, and develops a sword shape mountain standing upright around the CEP in a narrow and oblate region. This feature is model independent and universal if the CEP exists. The measurement of the baryon number susceptibilities from heavy-ion collision experiment is along the freeze-out line. If the freeze-out line crosses the foot of the CEP mountain, then one can observe the peaked baryon number susceptibilities along the freeze-out line, and the kurtosis of the baryon number distributions has the tallest magnitude. The data from the first phase of beam energy scan program at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions indicates that a peak of the kurtosis of the baryon number distribution would show up at the collision energy around 5 GeV, which suggests that the freeze-out line crosses the foot of the CEP mountain and the summit of the CEP would be located nearby around the collision energy of 3 GeV.

We analytically solve the conformal bootstrap equations in the Regge limit for large N conformal field theories. For theories with a parametrically large gap, the amplitude is dominated by spin-2 exchanges and we show how the crossing equations naturally lead to the construction of AdS exchange Witten diagrams. We also show how this is encoded in the anomalous dimensions of double-trace operators of large spin and large twist. We use the chaos bound to prove that the anomalous dimensions are negative. Extending these results to correlators containing two scalars and two conserved currents, we show how to reproduce the CEMZ constraint that the three-point function between two currents and one stress tensor only contains the structure given by Einstein-Maxwell theory in AdS, up to small corrections. Finally, we consider the case where operators of unbounded spin contribute to the Regge amplitude, whose net effect is captured by summing the leading Regge trajectory. We compute the resulting anomalous dimensions and corrections to OPE coefficients in the crossed channel and use the chaos bound to show that both are negative.

We chart the breakdown of semiclassical gravity by analyzing the Virasoro conformal blocks to high numerical precision, focusing on the heavy-light limit corresponding to a light probe propagating in a BTZ black hole background. In the Lorentzian regime, we find empirically that the initial exponential time-dependence of the blocks transitions to a universal $t^{-\frac{3}{2}}$ power-law decay. For the vacuum block the transition occurs at $t \approx \frac{πc}{6 h_L}$, confirming analytic predictions. In the Euclidean regime, due to Stokes phenomena the naive semiclassical approximation fails completely in a finite region enclosing the `forbidden singularities'. We emphasize that limitations on the reconstruction of a local bulk should ultimately stem from distinctions between semiclassical and exact correlators.

At the level of precision used, the conditions under which the putative "minimal" 4D $\mathcal{N}=1$ SCFT may be isolated into a disconnected allowed region remain elusive. To bolster the connection between Virasoro conformal blocks and AdS$_3$ quantum gravity, we study sl$(2)$ Chern-Simons Wilson line networks and revisit the idea that they compute a variety of CFT$_2$ observables, including Virasoro OPE blocks, exactly. We verify this in the semiclassical large central charge limit and to low orders in a perturbative $1/c$ expansion.
Wilson lines connecting the boundary to points in the bulk play a natural role in bulk reconstruction. Because quantum gravity in AdS$_3$ is rigidly fixed by Virasoro symmetry, we argue that sl$(2)$ Wilson lines provide building blocks for background independent bulk reconstruction. In particular, we show explicitly that they automatically compute the uniformizing coordinates appropriate to any background state.

The magnetic field is introduced into the background geometry by solving the Einstein-Maxwell system. After embedding the magnetized background geometry into the modified soft-wall model, the magnetic field dependent behavior of chiral condensate is worked out numerically. It is found that, in the chiral limit, the chiral phase transition remains as a second order at finite magnetic field $B$, while the symmetry restoration temperature and chiral condensate decrease with the increasing of magnetic field in small $B$ region. When including finite quark mass effect, the phase transition turns to be a crossover one, and the transition temperature still decreases with increasing magnetic field $B$ when $B$ is not very large. In this sense, inverse magnetic catalysis effect is observed in this modified soft-wall AdS/QCD model.

In this paper we use the technique to perform calculations in the small $1/c \propto G_N$ expansion: (1) we prove the all-orders resummation of logarithmic factors $\propto \frac{1}{c} \log z$ in the Lorentzian regime, demonstrating that $1/c$ corrections directly shift Lyapunov exponents associated with chaos, as claimed in prior work, (2) we perform another all-orders resummation in the limit of large $c$ with fixed $cz$, interpolating between the early onset of chaos and late time behavior, (3) we explicitly compute the Virasoro vacuum block to order $1/c^2$ and $1/c^3$, corresponding to $2$ and $3$ loop calculations in AdS$_3$, and (4) we derive the heavy-light vacuum blocks in theories with $\mathcal{N}=1,2$ superconformal symmetry.

In this work we use the holographic softwall AdS/QCD model with anomalous dimension contributions coming from two different QCD beta functions to calculate the masses of higher spin glueball states for both even and odd spins and its respective Regge trajectories, related to the pomeron and the odderon, respectively. We further investigate this model taking into account dynamical corrections due to a dilaton potential consistent with Einstein equations in 5 dimensions. The results found in this work for the Regge trajectories within the anomalous softwall model with dynamical corrections are consistent with those presented in the literature.

We discuss information loss from black hole physics in AdS$_3$, focusing on two sharp signatures infecting CFT$_2$ correlators at large central charge $c$: 'forbidden singularities' arising from Euclidean-time periodicity due to the effective Hawking temperature, and late-time exponential decay in the Lorentzian region. We study an infinite class of examples where forbidden singularities can be resolved by non-perturbative effects at finite $c$, and we show that the resolution has certain universal features that also apply in the general case. Analytically continuing to the Lorentzian regime, we find that the non-perturbative effects that resolve forbidden singularities qualitatively change the behavior of correlators at times $t \sim S_{BH}$, the black hole entropy. This may resolve the exponential decay of correlators at late times in black hole backgrounds. By Borel resumming the $1/c$ expansion of exact examples, we explicitly identify 'information-restoring' effects from heavy states that should correspond to classical solutions in AdS$_3$. Our results suggest a line of inquiry towards a more precise formulation of the gravitational path integral in AdS$_3$.

In this paper, we prove that the "conformal collider bounds" originally proposed by Hofman and Maldacena hold for any unitary parity-preserving conformal field theory (CFT) with a unique stress tensor in spacetime dimensions larger than 2. In this paper, we prove that the "conformal collider bounds" originally proposed by Hofman and Maldacena hold for any unitary parity-preserving conformal field theory (CFT) with a unique stress tensor in spacetime dimensions larger than 2. In particular this implies that the ratio of central charges for a unitary 4d CFT lies in the interval $\frac{31}{18} \geq \frac{a}{c} \geq \frac{1}{3}$. For superconformal theories this is further reduced to $\frac{3}{2} \geq \frac{a}{c} \geq \frac{1}{2}$. The proof relies only on CFT first principles - in particular, bootstrap methods - and thus constitutes the first complete field theory proof of these bounds. We further elaborate on similar bounds for non-conserved currents and relate them to results obtained recently from deep inelastic scattering.

We derive general conditions for the existence of stable scaling solutions for the evolution of noncanonical quintessence, with a Lagrangian of the form $\mathcal{L}(X,φ)=X^α-V(φ)$, for power-law and exponential potentials when the expansion is dominated by a background barotropic fluid. Our results suggest that in most cases, noncanonical quintessence with such potentials does not yield interesting models for the observed dark energy. When the scaling solution is not an attractor, there is a wide range of model parameters for which the evolution asymptotically resembles a zero-potential solution with equation of state parameter $w = 1/(2α-1)$, and oscillatory solutions are also possible for positive power-law potentials; we derive the conditions on the model parameters which produce both types of behavior. We investigate thawing noncanonical models with a nearly-flat potential and derive approximate expressions for the evolution of $w(a)$. These forms for $w(a)$ differ in a characteristic way from the corresponding expressions for canonical quintessence.

We construct a series of new hyperbolic black hole solutions in Einstein-Scalar system and we apply holographic approach to investigate the spherical Rényi entropy in various deformations of dual conformal field theories (CFTs). Especially, we introduce various powers of scalars in the scalar potentials for massive and massless scalar. These scalar potentials correspond to deformation of dual CFTs. Then we solve asymptotically hyperbolic AdS black hole solutions numerically. We map the instabilities of these black hole solutions to phase transitions of field theory in terms of CHM map** between hyperbolic hairy AdS black hole and spherical Rényi entropy in dual field theories. Based on these solutions, we study the temperature dependent condensation of dual operator of massive and massless scalar respectively. These condensations show that there might exist phase transitions in dual deformed CFTs. We also compare free energy between asymptotically hyperbolic AdS black hole solutions and hyperbolic AdS Schwarz (AdS-SW) black hole to test phase transitions. In order to confirm the existence of phase transitions, we turn on linear in-homogenous perturbation to test stability of these hyperbolic hairy AdS black holes. In this paper, we show how potential parameters affect the stability of hyperbolic black holes in several specific examples. For general values of potential parameters, it needs further studies to see how the transition happens. Finally, we comment on these instabilities associated with spherical Rényi entropy in dual deformed CFTs.

We investigate the chiral phase transition in the soft-wall model of AdS/QCD at zero chemical potential for two-flavor and three-flavor cases, respectively. We show that there is no spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking in the original soft-wall model. After detailed analysis, we find that in order to realize chiral symmetry breaking and restoration, both profiles for the scalar potential and the dilaton field are essential. The scalar potential determines the possible solution structure of the chiral condensate, except the mass term, it takes another quartic term for the two-flavor case, and for the three-flavor case, one has to take into account an extra cubic term due to the t'Hooft determinant interaction. The profile of the dilaton field reflects the gluodynamics, which is negative at a certain ultraviolet scale and approaches positive quadratic behavior at far infrared region. With this set-up, the spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking in the vacuum and its restoration at finite temperature can be realized perfectly. In the two-flavor case, it gives a second order chiral phase transition in the chiral limit, while the transition turns to be a crossover for any finite quark mass. In the case of three-flavor, the phase transition becomes a first order one in the chiral limit, while above sufficient large quark mass it turns to be a crossover again. This scenario agrees exactly with the current understanding on chiral phase transition from lattice QCD and other effective model studies.

We analytically study the lightcone limit of the conformal bootstrap equations for 4-point functions containing global symmetry currents and the stress tensor in 3d CFTs. We show that the contribution of the stress tensor to the anomalous dimensions of large spin double-twist states is negative if and only if the conformal collider physics bounds are satisfied. In the context of AdS/CFT these results indicate a relation between the attractiveness of AdS gravity and positivity of the CFT energy flux. We also study the contribution of non-Abelian conserved currents to the anomalous dimensions of double-twist operators, corresponding to the gauge binding energy of 2-particle states in AdS. We show that the representation of the double-twist state determines the sign of the gauge binding energy if and only if the coefficient appearing in the current 3-point function satisfies a similar bound, which is equivalent to an upper bound on the charge flux asymmetry of the CFT.
