Suppression in the yield of quarkonia (heavy quark-antiquark bound states) has been considered one of the important signatures of the formation of the thermalized deconfined partonic matter, also known as the Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP), in Relativistic Heavy Ion Collision Experiments (RHICE). Traditionally, the in-medium dissociation of quarkonium states has been presented by implicitly assuming an adiabatic approximation, which considers that the heavy quark Hamiltonian changes slowly over time owing to change in the medium. However, in high multiplicity smaller systems, such as in $p+p$ collisions, the early development of transverse flow resulting from the finite transverse size of the locally thermalized medium may cause the quarkonium states to undergo a non-adiabatic evolution. It has been argued that in the presence of such a non-adiabatic evolution, the suppression of heavy quark-antiquark bound state yields may not reliably indicate QGP formation~\cite{Bagchi:2023vfv}. We propose that, rather than concentrating on the suppression of $J/ψ$ yields, the enhancement in the yield ratio of $ψ^{\prime}$ to $J/ψ$ (i.e., $ψ^{\prime} / (J/ψ)$), along with an increase in $ψ^{\prime}$ yield, should be considered as a probe of QGP formation for small systems. Our findings, based on realistic modeling of the time evolution of small systems, suggest that the yield ratio $ψ^{\prime} / (J/ψ)$ and the yield of $ψ^{\prime}$ increase as a function of hydrodynamization temperature incorporating the non-adiabatic transitions in high multiplicity $p+p$ collisions.

Dark matter (DM) may be captured around a neutron star (NS) through DM-nucleon interactions. We observe that the enhancement of such capturing is particularly significant when the DM velocity and/or momentum transfer depend on the DM-nucleon scattering cross-section. This could potentially lead to the formation of a black hole within the typical lifetime of the NS. As the black hole expands through the accretion of matter from the NS, it ultimately results in the collapse of the host. Utilizing the existing pulsar data J0437-4715 and J2124-3858, we derive the stringent constraints on the DM-nucleon scattering cross-section across a broad range of DM masses.

Among the various candidates for dark matter (DM), ultralight vector DM can be probed by laser interferometric gravitational wave detectors through the measurement of oscillating length changes in the arm cavities. In this context, KAGRA has a unique feature due to differing compositions of its mirrors, enhancing the signal of vector DM in the length change in the auxiliary channels. Here we present the result of a search for $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge boson DM using the KAGRA data from auxiliary length channels during the first joint observation run together with GEO600. By applying our search pipeline, which takes into account the stochastic nature of ultralight DM, upper bounds on the coupling strength between the $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge boson and ordinary matter are obtained for a range of DM masses. While our constraints are less stringent than those derived from previous experiments, this study demonstrates the applicability of our method to the lower-mass vector DM search, which is made difficult in this measurement by the short observation time compared to the auto-correlation time scale of DM.

In high multiplicity proton-proton $(p-p)$ collisions, the formation of a deconfined state of quarks and gluons akin to Heavy Ion Collisions (HIC) has been a subject of significant interest. In proton-proton ($p-p$) collisions, the transverse size of the system is comparable to the longitudinal (Lorentz contracted) dimension, unlike the case in Nucleus-Nucleus ($A-A$) collision, leading to a hitherto unexplored effect of rapid decrease of temperature of the medium on quark-antiquark bound states. This allows us to probe a unique possibility of hadronization occurring before quarkonia dissociation within the medium. In small systems, a rapid change in temperature also introduces sudden changes in the Hamiltonian. This scenario prompts consideration of non-adiabatic evolution, challenging the traditional adiabatic framework. We demonstrate that non-adiabatic evolution may extend the longevity of quark-anti-quark bound states in $p-p$ collisions, even at higher multiplicities, offering new insights into the dynamics of strongly interacting matter produced in smaller collision systems.

The in-medium properties of open strange ($K$, $\bar{K}$), open charm ($D$, $\bar{D}$), and open bottom ($B$, $\bar{B}$) mesons are investigated in asymmetric nuclear matter using Quark Meson Coupling (QMC) model. A direct coupling of scalar ($σ$, $δ$) and vector ($ω$, $ρ$) mesons to the light quarks and anti-quarks of these mesons give rise to the in-medium modification of the properties of the corresponding meson within the model. The inclusion of the $δ$ (scalar iso-vector) meson breaks the isospin symmetry for the masses of the light quark and antiquark doublets, causing mass splitting between ($u,\;d$) as well as ($\bar{d},\;\bar{u}$). Consequently, the considered mesons exhibit mass splittings within the isodoublets of $K$, $\bar{K}$, $D$, $\bar{D}$, $B$ and $\bar{B}$ mesons when embedded in asymmetric nuclear matter. In the current study, the interactions of the pseudoscalar meson with the scalar, as well as vector mesons, are considered, which lead to significant medium modifications of the excitation energies of the open strange (charm and bottom) mesons. In asymmetric nuclear matter, due to the interaction of the pseudoscalar meson with the vector iso-vector $ρ$ meson, there is a splitting in the excitation energies of the mesons within the isospin doublets. The isospin effects are seen to be large for high baryon densities. This study can have significant observable consequences, such as in the production ratios, e.g., $K^+/K^0$, $K^-/\bar {K^0}$, $D^+/D^0$, $D^-/\bar{D}^0$, $B^+/B^0$ and $B^-/\bar{B}^0$ in the upcoming heavy ion collision experiments at FAIR project at GSI, where the experiments are planned to be performed using neutron-rich beams to study the compressed baryonic matter.

The motivation behind exploring jet quenching-like phenomena in small systems arises from the experimental observation of heavy-ion-like behavior of particle production in high-multiplicity proton-proton ($p+p$) collisions. Quantifying the jet quenching in $p+p$ collisions is a challenging task, as the magnitude of the nuclear modification factor ($R_{\rm AA}$ or $R_{\rm CP}$), which is used to quantify jet quenching, is influenced by several factors, such as the estimation of centrality and the scaling factor. The most common method of centrality estimation employed by the ALICE collaboration is based on measuring charged-particle multiplicity with the V0 detector situated at the forward rapidity. This technique of centrality estimation makes the event sample biased towards hard processes like multijet final states. This bias of the V0 detector towards hard processes makes it difficult to study the jet quenching effect in high-multiplicity $p+p$ collisions. In the present article, we propose to explore the use of a new and robust event classifier, flattenicity which is sensitive to both the multiple soft partonic interactions and hard processes. The $\mathcal{P}_{\rm CP}$, a quantity analogous to $R_{\rm CP}$, has been estimated for high-multiplicity $p+p$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV using \texttt{PYTHIA8} model for both the V0M (the multiplicity classes selected based on V0 detector acceptance) as well as flattenicity. The evolution of $\mathcal{P}_{\rm CP}$ with $p_{\rm T}$ shows a heavy-ion-like effect for flattencity which is attributed to the selection of softer transverse momentum particles in high-multiplicity $p+p$ collisions.

We investigate the medium modifications of the masses of pseudoscalar open charm ($D$ and $\bar D$) mesons and the charmonium state ($ψ(3770)$) in hot isospin asymmetric strange hadronic medium in the presence of an external magnetic field within a chiral effective model. The in-medium partial decay widths of $ψ(3770)$ to $D\bar D$ mesons are computed from the in-medium masses of the initial and final state mesons. These are computed using two light quark pair creation models - (I) the $^3P_0$ model and (II) a field theoretical (FT) model of composite hadrons with quark (and antiquark) constituents. The production cross-sections of $ψ(3770)$, arising from scattering of the $D$ and $\bar D$ mesons, are computed from the relativistic Breit-Wigner spectral function expressed in terms of the in-medium masses and the decay widths of the charmonium state. The effects of the magnetic field are considered due to the Dirac sea (DS) of the baryons, the mixing of the pseudoscalar and vector meson (PV mixing) and the Landau level contributions for the charged hadrons. The production cross-sections of $ψ(3770)$ arising due to scattering of $D^+D^-(D^0\bar{D}^0)$ mesons in the hot magnetized strange hadronic matter are observed to have distinct peak positions, when the magnetic field is large, due to the mass difference of the transverse and longitudinal components of $ψ(3770)$, arising from PV mixing. These can have observable consequences on the dilepton spectra and the production of the charm mesons in ultra-relativistic peripheral heavy ion collision experiments, where the produced magnetic field is huge.

The in-medium partial decay widths for the $A_1\rightarrow ρπ$ channels are studied from the in-medium masses of the initial and the final state particles, by applying a phenomenological Lagrangian to account for the $A_1ρπ$ interaction vertices. The masses are calculated within the QCD sum rule framework, with the medium effects coming through the light quark ($\sim \langle \bar{q}q \rangle$) and the scalar gluon condensates ($\sim \langle G^2 \rangle$), as well as the light four-quark condensate ($\sim \langle \bar{q}q\rangle^2 $). The condensates are calculated within the chiral $SU(3)$ model in terms of the medium modified scalar fields: isoscalar $σ$, $ζ$, isovector $δ$ and the dilaton field $χ$. The effects of magnetic fields are incorporated through the magnetized Dirac sea contribution as well as the Landau energy levels of protons. The incorporation of the magnetic field through the Dirac sea of nucleons lead to an enhancement (reduction) of the light quark condensates with magnetic field, give rise to the phenomenon of magnetic (inverse) catalysis. The effects of (inverse) magnetic catalysis at finite temperature nuclear matter are studied on the spectral functions and production cross-sections of the neutral $ρ$ and $A_1$ mesons. This may affect the production of the light vector and axial-vector mesons in the peripheral heavy-ion collision experiments, where estimated magnetic field is very large at the early stages of collisions with very high temperature.

Within a chiral effective model, the masses of the vector and pseudoscalar charmonium (bottomonium) states are calculated from the medium modification of a dilaton field, $χ$, which mimics the gluon condensates of QCD. In the presence of a magnetic field, there is mixing of the pseudoscalar (P) meson and the longitudinal component of the vector (V) meson (PV mixing), which leads to appreciable modifications of their masses. The radiative decay widths of the vector (V) heavy quarkonia to the pseudoscalar (P) mesons ($J/ψ\rightarrow η_c(1S) γ$, $ψ(2S)\rightarrow η_c(2S) γ$ and $ψ(1D)\rightarrow η_c(2S) γ$ for the charm sector and $Υ(NS)\rightarrow η_b(NS)γ$, $N$=1,2,3,4, for the bottom sector) in the magnetized asymmetric nuclear matter are also investigated in the present work. The difference in the mass of the transverse component from the longitudinal component of the vector meson, arising due to PV mixing, is observed as a double peak structure in the invariant mass spectrum of the production cross-section of $ψ(3770)$. The modifications of the production cross-sections as well as the radiative decay widths of the heavy quarkonia in the magnetized matter should have observable consequences on the production of these heavy flavour mesons resulting from ultra-relativistic peripheral heavy ion collision experiments, where the created magnetic field can be extremely large.

We explore the role of dissipative effects during warm inflation leading to the small-scale enhancement of the power spectrum of curvature perturbations. In this paper, we specifically focus on non-canonical warm inflationary scenarios and study a model of warm Higgs-G inflation, in which the Standard Model Higgs boson drives inflation, with a Galileon-like non-linear kinetic term. We show that in the Galileon-dominated regime, the primordial power spectrum is strongly enhanced, leading to the formation of primordial black holes (PBH) with a wide range of the mass spectrum. Interestingly, PBHs in the asteroid mass window $\sim (10^{17}$ -- $10^{23}$) g are generated in this model, which can explain the total abundance of the dark matter in the Universe. In our analysis, we also calculate the secondary gravitational waves (GW) sourced by these small-scale overdense fluctuations and find that the induced GW spectrum can be detected in the future GW detectors, such as LISA, BBO, DECIGO, etc. Our scenario thus provides a novel way of generating PBHs as dark matter and a detectable stochastic GW background from warm inflation. We also show that our scenario is consistent with the swampland and the trans-Planckian censorship conjectures and, thus, remains in the viable landscape of UV complete theories.

Recent developments on a deep learning feed-forward network for estimating elliptic flow ($v_2$) coefficients in heavy-ion collisions have shown us the prediction power of this technique. The success of the model is mainly the estimation of $v_2$ from final state particle kinematic information and learning the centrality and the transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$) dependence of $v_2$. The deep learning model is trained with Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 5.02$ TeV minimum bias events simulated with a multiphase transport model (AMPT). We extend this work to estimate $v_2$ for light-flavor identified particles such as $π^{\pm}$, $\rm K^{\pm}$, and $\rm p+\bar{p}$ in heavy-ion collisions at RHIC and LHC energies. The number of constituent quark (NCQ) scaling is also shown. The evolution of $p_{\rm T}$-crossing point of $v_2(p_{\rm T})$, depicting a change in meson-baryon elliptic flow at intermediate-$p_{\rm T}$, is studied for various collision systems and energies. The model is further evaluated by training it for different $p_{\rm T}$ regions. These results are compared with the available experimental data wherever possible.

In the magnetized medium, the mass modification of open charm mesons due to their interactions with baryons and the scalar fields ($σ$, $ζ$, and $δ$) are investigated in a chiral effective model. Moreover, the charged pseudoscalar meson ($D^\pm$), as well as the longitudinal component of charged vector meson ($D^{*\pm \parallel}$), experience additional positive mass modifications in the magnetic field due to Landau quantization. The effect of the modification of gluon condensates simulated by the medium change of dilaton field $χ$ on the masses of the charmonia is also calculated in the chiral effective model. At high temperatures, the magnetically induced modifications of scalar fields significantly reduce the in-medium masses of mesons. The effects of magnetically induced spin mixing between the pseudoscalar and the vector mesons are incorporated in our study. The spin mixing result in a positive mass shift for the longitudinal component of the vector mesons and a negative mass shift for the pseudoscalar mesons in the presence of the magnetic field. From the obtained in-medium mass shifts of charmonia and open charm mesons, we have also calculated the partial decay widths of $ψ(1D)$ to $D\bar{D}$, using a light quark pair creation model, namely the $^3P_0$ model. Spin mixing and strangeness fraction enhance the partial decay width at small magnetic fields.

These are investigated using a generalized linear sigma model. The broken scale invariance of QCD is incorporated in the chiral $SU(2)\times SU(2)$ Lagrangian through an effective potential involving logarithmic terms of a scalar (glueball) dilaton field $χ$. The mass shifts of the quarkonium states are obtained through the medium modifications of the dilaton field which simulates the scalar gluon condensate of QCD. We observe an appreciable mass drop in the states of heavy quarkonia under this study. The in-medium masses at finite densities thus obtained should modify the in-medium partial decay widths of heavy quarkonia to open heavy flavor mesons. We study the partial decay widths of charmonium (bottomonium) states to ${\rm D\bar D \; (B\bar B)}$ mesons in magnetized (nuclear) matter using a field theoretical model of composite hadrons with quark (and antiquark) constituents. These are computed from the mass modifications of the decaying and produced mesons within a chiral effective model, including the nucleon Dirac sea effects. The mass modifications of the open charm (bottom) mesons are calculated from their interactions with the nucleons and the scalar mesons, whereas the mass shift of the heavy quarkonium state is obtained from the medium change of a scalar dilaton field, $χ$, which mimics the gluon condensates of QCD. The Dirac sea contributions are observed to lead to a rise (drop) in the quark condensates as the magnetic field is increased, an effect called the (inverse) magnetic catalysis. These effects are observed to be significant and the anomalous magnetic moments (AMMs) of the nucleons are observed to play an important role. For $ρ_B$=0, there is observed to be magnetic catalysis (MC) without and with AMMs, whereas, for $ρ_B=ρ_0$, the inverse magnetic catalysis (IMC) is observed when the AMMs are taken into account, contrary to MC, when the AMMs are ignored. In the presence of a magnetic field, there are also mixings of spin 0 (pseudoscalar) and spin 1 (vector) states (PV mixing) which modify the masses of these mesons. The magnetic field effects on the heavy quarkonium decay widths should have observable consequences on the production the heavy flavour mesons, which are created in the early stage of ultra-relativistic peripheral heavy ion collisions, at RHIC and LHC, when the produced magnetic fields can still be extremely large.

The in-medium masses of the light vector, $ρ^{0, \pm}$, $ω$ and the light axial-vector, $A_1^{0, \pm}$ mesons, are studied in the magnetized nuclear matter, accounting for the effects of the Dirac sea. The in-medium partial decay widths for the $A_1\rightarrow ρπ$ channels, are studied from the in-medium masses of the initial and the final state particles, by applying a phenomenological Lagrangian to account for the $A_1ρπ$ interaction vertices. The masses calculated within the QCD sum rule framework, are obtained in terms of the light quark ($\sim \langle \bar{q}q \rangle$) and the scalar gluon condensates ($\sim \langle G^2 \rangle$), as well as the light four-quark condensate ($\sim \langle \bar{q}q\rangle^2 $). The condensates are calculated within the chiral $SU(3)$ model in terms of the medium modified scalar fields. The effects of magnetic fields are incorporated through the Landau energy levels of protons, anomalous magnetic moments (AMMs) of the nucleons in the nuclear matter, in addition to the magnetized Dirac sea contribution, within the chiral effective model. The enhancement (reduction) of the light quark condensates with magnetic field, is called (inverse) magnetic catalysis. The effects of magnetic fields on the in-medium hadronic decay widths of the $A_1$ mesons, are observed to be significant through the Dirac sea effect, accounting for the AMMs of the nucleons. This may affect the light mesons production in the non-central, heavy-ion collision experiments, where estimated magnetic field is very large.

We study the in-medium masses of the heavy quarkonium (charmonium and bottomonium) states in isospin asymmetric nuclear matter in presence of an external magnetic field. The mass modifications of the heavy quarkonia are obtained from the medium modifications of a scalar dilaton field, $χ$, calculated within a chiral effective model. The dilaton field is introduced in the model through a scale invariance breaking logarithmic potential, and, simulates the gluon condensates of QCD. Within the chiral effective model, the values of the dilaton field along with the scalar (isoscalar, $σ(\sim \langle \bar u u \rangle +\langle \bar d d \rangle)$, isoscalar $ζ(\sim \langle \bar s s \rangle$) and isovector $δ(\sim \langle \bar u u\rangle
- \langle\bar d d \rangle)$) fields, are solved from their coupled equations of motion. These are solved accounting for the effects of the Dirac sea (DS) as well as anomalous magnetic moments (AMMs) of the nucleons. The Dirac sea contributions are observed to lead to enhancement (reduction) of the quark condensates (through $σ$ and $ζ$ fields) with increase in magnetic field, an effect called the (inverse) magnetic catalysis. The magnetic field effects on the masses of the heavy quarkonia include the mixing of the pseudoscalar (spin 0) and vector (spin 1) states (PV mixing), as well as, the effects from (inverse) magnetic catalysis. These effects are observed to be significant for large values of the magnetic field. This should have observable consequences on the production of the heavy quarkonia and open heavy flavour mesons, resulting from ultra-relativistic peripheral heavy ion collision experiments, where the created magnetic field can be huge.

The masses are used to study the in-medium partial decay widths of $D^* \rightarrow D π$ ($\bar{D}^*\rightarrow \bar{D}π$) and $Ψ(3770) \rightarrow D \bar{D}$, using the $^3P_0$ model. The in-medium masses of the open charm mesons are calculated from their interactions with the nucleons and scalar mesons within the generalized chiral effective model, in terms of the scalar and number densities of nucleons and the scalar fields fluctuations. The effects of Landau energy levels of protons and AMMs of the nucleons are also considered in the magnetized nuclear matter. The light quark condensates are modified considerably with magnetic field, leading to (inverse) magnetic catalysis due to the magnetized Dirac sea effects. The magnetic field causes modifications to occur due to the mixing of the pseudoscalar and longitudinal component of the vector mesons, along with the lowest Landau level contribution to the ground state energy of the charged mesons as point particle correction. For the charmonium state $Ψ(3770)$, the effects of the magnetized Dirac sea are incorporated to the mass modifications through the medium modified scalar dilaton field $χ$ within the chiral model. The in-medium masses and decay widths of the open charm and charmonium mesons thus obtained should have important observable consequences in the production of the open charm mesons and charmonia in peripheral ultra-relativistic heavy ion collision experiments, where huge magnetic fields are expected to be created.

Primordial Black Holes (PBHs) in the mass range $\sim 10^{17}- 10^{22}$g are currently unconstrained, and can constitute the full Dark Matter (DM) density of the universe. Motivated by this, in the current work, we aim to relate the existence of PBHs in the said mass range to the production of observable Gravitational Waves (GWs) in the upcoming GW detectors. We follow a relatively model-independent approach assuming that the PBHs took birth in a radiation dominated era from enhanced primordial curvature perturbation at small scales produced by inflation. We show that the constraints from CMB and BAO data allow for the possibility of PBHs being the whole of DM density of the universe. Finally, we derive the GW spectrum induced by the enhanced curvature perturbations and show that they are detectable in the future GW detectors like eLISA, BBO and DECIGO.

The discovery and characterization of hot and dense QCD matter, known as Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP), remains the most international collaborative effort and synergy between theorists and experimentalists in modern nuclear physics to date. The experimentalists around the world not only collect an unprecedented amount of data in heavy-ion collisions, at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) in New York, USA, and the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland but also analyze these data to unravel the mystery of this new phase of matter that filled a few microseconds old universe, just after the Big Bang. In the meantime, advancements in theoretical works and computing capability extend our wisdom about the hot-dense QCD matter and its dynamics through mathematical equations. The exchange of ideas between experimentalists and theoreticians is crucial for the progress of our knowledge. The motivation of this first conference named "HOT QCD Matter 2022" is to bring the community together to have a discourse on this topic. In this article, there are 36 sections discussing various topics in the field of relativistic heavy-ion collisions and related phenomena that cover a snapshot of the current experimental observations and theoretical progress. This article begins with the theoretical overview of relativistic spin-hydrodynamics in the presence of the external magnetic field, followed by the Lattice QCD results on heavy quarks in QGP, and finally, it ends with an overview of experiment results.

The mass modifications arise due to the interactions of the open bottom mesons with the nucleons and the scalar mesons, calculated in terms of the scalar and number densities of the nucleons and the scalar fields fluctuations. The effects of the magnetized Dirac sea lead to the considerable changes in the scalar fields with magnetic field, which are related to the light quark condensates. There is observed to be a (reduction) enhancement in the light quark condensates with magnetic field, a phenomenon called (inverse) magnetic catalysis. The contribution of the magnetic field on the Fermi sea of nucleons are taken into account through the Landau energy levels of protons and anomalous magnetic moments (AMMs) of the nucleons. The additional contribution of the lowest Landau level for the charged mesons are considered. The spin-magnetic field interaction between the longitudinal component of the vector and the pseudoscalar mesons ($B^{*||}(\bar{B}^{*||})-B (\bar{B}))$ and ($B_s^{*||}-B_s$) are studied, which lead to a level repulsion between their masses with magnetic field. Magnetic fields are observed to have significant contribution on the in-medium masses of the open bottom mesons through the Dirac sea effect as comparedto the case when this effect is not considered. In vacuum, considerable changes are obtained only due to the magnetized Dirac sea at zero and finite nucleonic AMMs.

The in-medium masses of the open charm ($D$ and $\bar D$) mesons in magnetized isospin asymmetric nuclear matter are investigated within a chiral effective model, including the contributions of the Dirac sea (DS) to the self-energies of the nucleons. Within the model, the masses of these mesons are calculated from their interactions with the nucleons and the scalar ($σ\sim(\langle\bar u u\rangle+\langle \bar d d \rangle)$, $ζ\sim\langle {\bar s}s\rangle$ and $δ\sim(\langle{\bar u} u\rangle-\langle {\bar d} d\rangle)$) fields. The Dirac sea contributions are observed to lead to an enhancement (reduction) of the quark condensates with increase in magnetic field, an effect called `(inverse) magnetic catalysis'. These contributions are observed to appreciably modify the open charm meson masses calculated within the chiral effective model. In the presence of an external magnetic field, there is mixing of the pseudoscalar and the vector mesons (PV mixing), leading to as a drop (increase) in the mass of the pseudoscalar (longitudinal component of the vector) meson. The effects of the (inverse) magnetic catalysis, in addition to the PV mixing and Landau level contribtuions (for charged mesons) are observed to lead to significant modifications to the masses of the open charm mesons. These can modify the decay widths of the charmonium states to open charm mesons, e.g., $ψ(3770)\rightarrow D\bar D$, as well as $D^*\rightarrow Dπ$ (and $\bar {D^*}\rightarrow {\bar D}π$), which can affect the production of the open charm and charmonium states in ultra relativistic peripheral heavy ion collision experiments, where the created magnetic field is huge.

The masses of the $1S$ and $1P$ states of heavy quarkonia are investigated in the magnetized, asymmetric nuclear medium, accounting for the Dirac sea effects, using a combined approach of chiral effective model and QCD sum rule method. These are calculated from the in-medium scalar and twist-2 gluon condensates, calculated within the chiral model. The gluon condensate is simulated through the scalar dilaton field, $χ$ introduced in the model through a scale-invariance breaking logarithmic potential. Considering the scalar fields to be classical, the dilaton field, $χ$, the non-strange isoscalar, $σ(\sim (\langle \bar u u\rangle +\langle \bar d d\rangle ))$, strange isoscalar, $ζ(\sim \langle \bar s s\rangle)$ and non-strange isovector, $δ(\sim (\langle\bar u u\rangle-\langle\bar d d\rangle)$) fields, are obtained by solving their coupled equations of motion, as derived from the chiral model Lagrangian. The effects of magnetic field due to the Dirac sea as well as the Landau energy levels of protons, and the non-zero anomalous magnetic moments of the nucleons are considered in the present study. In presence of an external magnetic field, there is also mixing between the longitudinal component of the vector meson and pseudoscalar meson (PV mixing) in both quarkonia sectors, leading to a rise (drop) of the masses of $J/ψ^{||}\ (η_c$) and $Υ^{||}(1S)\ (η_b$) states. These might show in the experimental observables, e.g., the dilepton spectra in the non-central, ultra-relativistic heavy ion collision experiments at RHIC and LHC, where the produced magnetic field is huge.

The Coon amplitude is the unique solution to duality constraints with logarithmic Regge trajectories. A striking feature of this solution is that it interpolates between the Veneziano amplitude and a scalar particle amplitude. However, an analytic proof of unitarity of the amplitude is not yet known. In this short note, we explicitly compute the partial wave coefficients on the leading Regge trajectory in D=4. We find that these coefficients always remain positive, even though their magnitude decreases with spin. Since the coefficients on the subleading trajectories are observed to be larger than those on the leading ones, our result indicates the positivity of the full Coon amplitude in D=4.

For charged baryons, the magnetic field introduces contribution from Landau energy levels. The masses of the open bottom mesons get modified through their interactions with the baryons and the scalar mesons, which undergo modifications in a magnetized medium. The charged open bottom mesons have additional positive mass shifts due to Landau quantization in the presence of the magnetic field. The medium mass shift of the upsilon states originates from the modification of the gluon condensates simulated by the variation of dilaton field ($χ$) and a quark mass term in the magnetized medium. The open bottom mesons and upsilon states experience a mass drop in the magnetized medium. The masses of these mesons initially increase with a rise in temperature, and beyond a high value of temperature, their masses are observed to drop. When the temperature is below 90 MeV, the in-medium masses of the mesons increase with an increase in the magnetic field. However, at high temperatures (T $>$ 90 MeV), the masses are observed to drop with an increase in the magnetic field. The dominant in-medium effects are the density effects, which can have observable effects in asymmetric heavy-ion collisions planned at compressed baryonic matter experiments at FAIR at the future facility of GSI.

The pair annihilation of neutrinos $(ν\overlineν\rightarrow e^+e^-)$ can energize violent stellar explosions such as gamma ray bursts (GRBs). The energy in this neutrino heating mechanism can be further enhanced by modifying the background spacetime over that of Newtonian spacetime. However, one cannot attain the maximum GRB energy $(\sim 10^{52}~\rm{erg})$ in either the Newtonian background or Schwarzschild and Hartle-Thorne background. On the other hand, using modified gravity theories or the Quintessence field as background geometries, the maximum GRB energy can be reached. In this paper, we consider extending the standard model by an extra $U(1)_{\rm{B-L}}$ gauge group and augmenting the energy deposition by neutrino pair annihilation process including contributions mediated by the $Z^\prime$ gauge boson belonging to this model. From the observed energy of GRB, we obtain constraints on $U(1)_{\rm{B-L}}$ gauge coupling in different background spacetimes. We find that the bounds on gauge coupling in modified gravity theories and quintessence background are stronger than those coming from the neutrino-electron scattering experiments in the limit of small gauge boson masses. Future GRB observations with better accuracy can further strengthen these bounds.

Stochastic gravitational waves can be induced from the primordial curvature perturbations generated during inflation, through scalar-tensor mode coupling at the second order of cosmological perturbation theory. Here we discuss a model of warm inflation in which large curvature perturbations are generated at the small scales because of inflaton dissipation. These overdense perturbations then collapse at later epoch to form primordial black holes, as was studied in our earlier work (Ref. \cite{Arya:2019wck}), and therefore may also act as a source to the second-order tensor perturbations. In this study, we calculate the spectrum of these secondary gravitational waves from our warm inflationary model. We find that our model leads to a generation of scalar induced gravitational waves (SIGW) over a frequency range ($1-10^6$) Hz. Further, we discuss the detection possibilities of these SIGWs, taking in account the sensitivity of different ongoing and future gravitational wave experiments.

Machine Learning (ML) techniques have been employed for the high energy physics (HEP) community since the early 80s to deal with a broad spectrum of problems. This work explores the prospects of using Deep Learning techniques to estimate elliptic flow ($v_2$) in heavy-ion collisions at the RHIC and LHC energies. A novel method is developed to process the input observables from particle kinematic information. The proposed DNN model is trained with Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}} = 5.02$ TeV minimum bias events simulated with AMPT model. The predictions from the ML technique are compared to both simulation and experiment. The Deep Learning model seems to preserve the centrality and energy dependence of $v_2$ for the LHC and RHIC energies. The DNN model is also quite successful in predicting the $p_{\rm T}$ dependence of $v_2$. When subjected to event simulation with additional noise, the proposed DNN model still keeps the robustness and prediction accuracy intact up to a reasonable extent.

For heavy ions Pb-Pb at $\sqrt {s_{NN}} =$ 2.76 and 5.02 TeV along with Xe-Xe at $\sqrt {s_{NN}} = $ 5.44 TeV have been analyzed. The initial temperature is extracted both in low and high multiplicity events in ${\it pp}$ collisions. For $A-A$ collisions the temperature is obtained as a function of centrality.
A universal scaling in the temperature from $pp$ and $A-A$ collisions is obtained when multiplicity is scaled by the transverse interaction area. From the measured energy density $\bm \varepsilon$ and the temperature the dimensionless quantity $\bm \varepsilon/T^{4}$ is obtained. Our results for Pb-Pb and Xe-Xe collisions show a sharp increase in $\bm \varepsilon/T^{4}$ above T $\sim$ 210 MeV and reaching the ideal gas of quarks and gluons value of $\bm \varepsilon/T^{4} \sim$ 16 at temperature $\sim $ 230 MeV. Nuclear modification factor predicts whether a medium is formed in a collision system or not. One may verify, if scaling of momentum (transverse) distribution from heavy-ion systems with incoherent superposition of number of binary collision, is making up the magnitude of elementary like systems. It was observed in a wide range of experimental data that in lower momentum (transverse) region, initial state effects (viz. cold-nuclear matter effect or radial flow) enhances it. While in higher momentum (transverse) region, final state effects (viz. jet quenching or re-scattering effects) suppresses it. In this article we made an attempt to predict and explain if this heavy-ion like effect can be seen in elementary collisions at favorable experimental conditions. We have employed PYTHIA8 model in this regard, and used effects which give collective-like behaviour within the model constraint. Machine learning techniques have been quite popular recently in the high-energy physics community and have led to numerous developments in this field. In heavy-ion collisions, one of the crucial observables, the impact parameter, plays an important role in the final-state particle production. This being extremely small (i.e. of the order of a few fermi), it is almost impossible to measure impact parameter in experiments. In this work, we implement the ML-based regression technique via Gradient Boosting Decision Trees (GBDT) to obtain a prediction of impact parameter in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV using A Multi-Phase Transport (AMPT) model. After its successful implementation in small collision systems, transverse spherocity, an event shape observable, holds an opportunity to reveal more about the particle production in heavy-ion collisions as well. In the absence of any experimental exploration in this direction at the LHC yet, we suggest an ML-based regression method to estimate centrality-wise transverse spherocity distributions in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV by training the model with minimum bias collision data. Throughout this work, we have used a few final state observables as the input to the ML-model, which could be easily made available from collision data. Our method seems to work quite well as we see a good agreement between the simulated true values and the predicted values from the ML-model.

Oxygen ($^{16}$O) ions are planned to be injected at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in its next runs, and a day of physics run is anticipated for O+O collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}}$ = 7 TeV. As the system size of O+O collisions has the final state multiplicity overlap with those produced in pp, p+Pb and Pb+Pb collisions, the study of global properties in O+O collisions may provide a deeper insight into the heavy-ion-like behavior observed in small collision systems and its similarities/differences with a larger system like Pb+Pb collisions. In the present work, we report the predictions for global properties in O+O collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm{NN}}}$ = 7 TeV using a multi-phase transport model (AMPT). We report the mid-rapidity charged-particle multiplicity, transverse mass, Bjorken energy density, pseudo-rapidity distributions, squared speed of sound, transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$) spectra, the kinetic freeze-out parameters, and $p_{\rm T}$-differential particle ratio as a function of collision centrality. Further, we have studied the transverse momentum-dependent elliptic flow of charged particles. The results are shown for Woods-Saxon and harmonic oscillator nuclear density profiles. In addition, we have compared the results with an $α$-clustered structure incorporated inside the oxygen nucleus. Average charged-particle multiplicity and the Bjorken energy density show a significant increase in most central collisions for the harmonic oscillator density profile, while other global properties show less dependence on the density profiles considered in this work. The results from the $α$-clustered structure incorporated inside the oxygen nucleus show similar initial energy density and final charged-particle multiplicity as observed for the harmonic oscillator density profile.

The in-medium masses of the bottomonium ground states [$1S$ ($Υ(1S), η_b$) and $1P$ ($χ_{b0},χ_{b1}$)] are investigated in the magnetized vacuum (nuclear medium), using the QCD sum rule framework. In QCD sum rule approach, the mass modifications are calculated in terms of the medium modifications of the scalar and twist-2 gluon condensates, which are obtained in the nuclear medium, from the medium change of a scalar dilaton field, $χ$ within a chiral effective model. The in-medium masses of the bottomonium ground states are observed to decrease with increasing density. P-wave states are observed to have more appreciable mass-shifts than the S-wave states. In the present investigation, the effects of spin-mixing between 1S bottomonium states, $Υ(1S)$ and $η_b$ are taking into account in presence of an external magnetic field. The contribution of magnetic fields are seen to be dominant via spin-magnetic field interaction effects, which leads to an appreciable rise and drop in the in-medium masses of the longitudinal component of vector $1S$ state ($Υ$) and pseudoscalar state ($η_b$) respectively. For zero magnetic field, the effects of baryon density on the bottomonium ground states in isospin asymmetric nuclear medium are observed to be quite appreciable. These should have observable consequences for the production of the open and hidden bottom meson states resulting from high energy asymmetric nuclear collisions in facilities which probe high density baryonic matter. There is observed to be large contributions to the masses of the longitudinal component of the vector bottomonium state, $Υ(1S)$ and pesudoscalar state $η_b$ in strong magnetic fields.

Recently, machine learning (ML) techniques have led to a range of numerous developments in the field of nuclear and high-energy physics. In heavy-ion collisions, the impact parameter of a collision is one of the crucial observables which has a significant impact on the final state particle production. However, calculation of such a quantity is nearly impossible in experiments as the length scale ranges in the level of a few fermi. In this work, we implement the ML-based regression technique via Boosted Decision Tree (BDT) to obtain a prediction of impact parameter in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV using A Multi-Phase Transport (AMPT) model. In addition, we predict an event shape observable, transverse spherocity in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 2.76 and 5.02 TeV using AMPT and PYTHIA8 based on Angantyr model. After a successful implementation in small collision systems, the use of transverse spherocity in heavy-ion collisions has potential to reveal new results from heavy-ion collisions where the production of a QGP medium is already established. We predict the centrality dependent spherocity distributions from the training of minimum bias simulated data and it was found that the predictions from BDT based ML technique match with true simulated data. In the absence of experimental measurements, we propose to implement Machine learning based regression technique to obtain transverse spherocity from the known final state observables in heavy-ion collisions.

In the presence of the magnetic field, the number density and scalar density of charged baryons have contributions from Landau energy levels. The mass modifications of open charm mesons arise due to their interactions with nucleons, hyperons, and the scalar fields (the non-strange field $σ$, strange field $ζ$ and isovector field $δ$) in the presence of the magnetic field. The mass modifications of the charmonium states arise from the variation of dilaton field ($χ$) in the magnetized medium, which simulates the gluon condensates of QCD. The in-medium mass of open charm mesons and charmonia are observed to decrease with an increase in baryon density, whereas the charged $D^+$, $D^-$, ${D_{s}}^+$ and ${D_{s}}^-$ mesons have additional positive mass shifts due to Landau quantization in the presence of the magnetic field. The effects of strangeness fraction are found to be more dominant for the $\bar{D}$ mesons as compared to the $D$ mesons. The mass shifts of charmonia are observed to be larger in hyperonic medium compared to the nuclear medium.

These are obtained from the in-medium masses of the open strange mesons and the decay widths $φ\rightarrow K\bar K$, $K^* \rightarrow Kπ$ and $\bar {K^*} \rightarrow {\bar K}π$ in the hadronic medium. The decay widths are computed using a field theoretic model of composite hadrons with quark/antiquark constituents, from the matrix element of the light quark-antiquark pair creation term of the free Dirac Hamiltonian between the initial and final states. The matrix element is multiplied with a coupling strength parameter for the light quark-antiquark pair creation, which is fitted to the observed vacuum decay width of the decay process. There are observed to be substantial modifications of the spectral functions as well as production cross-sections of these vector mesons due to isospin asymmetry as well as strangeness of the hadronic medum at high densities. These studies should have observable consequences, e.g. in the yield of the hidden and open strange mesons arising from the isospin asymmetric high energy heavy ion collisions at the Compressed baryonic matter (CBM) experiments at the future facility at GSI.

We present the extraction of the temperature by analyzing the charged particle transverse momentum spectra in lead-lead (Pb-Pb) and proton-proton (${\bf pp}$) collisions at LHC energies from the ALICE Collaboration using the Color String Percolation Model (CSPM). From the measured energy density ${\bm \varepsilon}$ and the temperature T the dimensionless quantity ${\bm \varepsilon/}T^{4}$ is obtained to get the degrees of freedom (DOF), ${\bm \varepsilon}/T^{4}$ = DOF ${ π^{2}}$/30.
We observe for the first time a two-step behavior in the increase of DOF, characteristic of deconfinement, above the hadronization temperature at temperature $\sim$ 210 MeV for both Pb-Pb and ${\bf pp}$ collisions and a sudden increase to the ideal gas value of $\sim $ 47 corresponding to three quark flavors in the case of Pb-Pb collisions.

These are studied accounting for the mixing of the pseudoscalar ($P$) and vector ($V$) mesons ($D-D^*$, $η_c'-Ψ(3770)$ mixings), with the mixing parameter, $g_{PV}$ of a phenomenological three-point ($PVγ$) vertex interaction determined from the observed radiative decay width of $V\rightarrow Pγ$. For charged $D-D^*$ mixing, this parameter is dependent on the magnetic field, because of the Landau level contributions to the vacuum masses of these mesons. The masses of the charged $D$ and $D^*$ mesons modified due to $PV$ mixing, in addition, have contributions from the lowest Landau levels in the presence of a strong magnetic field. The effects of the magnetic field on the decay widths are studied using a field theoretic model of composite hadrons with quark (and antiquark) consittuents. The parameter for the charged $D-D^*$ mixing is observed to increase appreciably with increase in the magnetic field. This leads to dominant modifications to their masses, and hence the decay widths of charged $D^*\rightarrow Dπ$ as well as $Ψ(3770)\rightarrow D^+D^-$ at large values of the magnetic field. The modifications of the masses and decay widths of the open and hidden charm mesons in the presence of strong magnetic fields should have observable consequences on the production of the open charm ($D$ and $D^*$) mesons as well as of the charmonium states resulting from non-central ultrarelativistic heavy ion collision experiments.

The mixing between the pseudoscalar and vector charmonium states at rest is observed to lead to appreciable negative (positive) shifts in the masses of the pseudoscalar (longitudinal component of the vector) charmonium states in vacuum/hadronic medium in the presence of high magnetic fields. The pseudoscalar and vector charmonium masses in the hadronic medium, calculated in an effective chiral model from the medium changes of a scalar dilaton field, have additional significant modifications due to the mixing effects. The masses of the $D$ and $\bar D$ mesons in the magnetized hadronic matter are calculated within the chiral effective model. The partial decay widths of the vector charmonium state to $D\bar D$ are computed using a field theoretical model for composite hadrons with quark/antiquark constituents, and are compared to the decay widths calculated using an effective hadronic Lagrangian. The effects of the mixing are observed to lead to significant contributions to the masses of the pseusoscalar and vector charmonium states, and an appreciable increase in the decay width $ψ(3770) \rightarrow D\bar D$ at large values of the magnetic fields. We have attempted to build a parametric based simplified and analytical model to map the interaction of quarks and gluons in presence of magnetic field, which has been constrained by quark condensate and thermodynamical quantities like pressure, energy density etc., obtained from the calculation of lattice quantum chromodynamics. To fulfill that map**, we have assumed a parametric temperature and magnetic field dependent degeneracy factor, average energy, momentum and velocity of quarks and gluons. Implementing this QCD interaction in calculation of transport coefficient at finite magnetic field, we have noticed that magnetic field and interaction both are two dominating sources, for which the values of transport coefficients can be reduced. Though the methodology is not so robust, but with the help of its simple parametric expressions, one can get a quick rough estimation of any phenomenological quantity, influenced by temperature and magnetic field dependent QCD interaction.

The in-medium partial decay widths of $Υ(4S) \rightarrow B\bar B$ in magnetized asymmetric nuclear matter are studied using a field theoretic model for composite hadrons with quark (and antiquark) constituents. The medium modifications of the decay widths of $Υ(4S)$ to $B\bar B$ pair in magnetized matter arise due to the mass modifications of the decaying $Υ(4S)$ as well as of the produced $B$ and $\bar B$ mesons. The in-medium masses of the open bottom meson in magnetized nuclear matter are computed from their interactions with the nucleons and the scalar mesons within a chiral effective model. The mass modification of the $Υ(4S)$ arises due to the medium modification of a scalar dilaton field, which is introduced in the model to simulate the gluon condensates of QCD. The charged $B^{\pm}$ mesons have additional contributions from the Landau energy levels, leading to positive shifts in their masses in the presence of a magnetic field. In the presence of an external magnetic field, there are contributions to the masses of the $B$, $\bar B$ mesons and $Υ(4S)$ state (longitudinal component) due to the pseudoscalar meson-vector meson (PV) mixing ($B-B^*$, $\bar B- \bar {B^*}$ and $Υ(4S)-η_b(4S)$ mixings), which are also considered in the present study. The PV mixing effects are observed to be the dominant contributions to the mass shifts of these mesons, which lead to appreciable modifications in the decay widths of $Υ(4S)$ to the neutral ($B^0 \bar {B^0}$) and the charged ($B^+ B^-$) pairs in the presence of a magnetic field. We argue that for sufficiently large dark matter viscosity, the number of the resonantly converted visible photons becomes large which populates the Rayleigh-Jeans (RJ) tails of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation. Consequently, these excess visible photons possibly can explain the reported EDGES anomaly in the 21 cm signal. The main characteristic of the approach is that it reaches to extreme multiplicities not yet explored by the experiments. We demonstrate that the behavior of both the underlying and hard components are affected by the multiplicity of the events i.e. the energy density. The behavior of the spectra at very high multiplicities suggests that the partons suffer energy loss compensated by an increase in the multiplicity of events.

The EDGES experiment has detected the global absorption signal of 21 cm line at $z\sim17$ in cosmic dawn era and reported its amplitude larger than the standard cosmological prediction. One of the possible explanation requires that the baryons were much cooler than the standard scenario. This requires an interaction between the dark and baryonic sectors with some appropriate cross-section, $ \hatσ $. In this work, we examine the role that dissipative effects of cosmic fluid might play in influencing the 21 cm signal. We show that the presence of viscous dissipation of dark matter can significantly affect the energy transfer between the baryonic and dark matter fluids. It is demonstrated that the inclusion of the dissipative mechanism in the dark sector, strongly modify the earlier constraints on dark matter mass and $ \hatσ $ obtain from EDGES observation. Further, we argue that EDGES absorption signal can put an independent bound on dark matter viscosity which is many order of magnitude larger than the maximum viscosity allowed by the structure formation.
