LHC EFT WG Note: Precision matching of microscopic physics to the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT)
Abstract: This note gives an overview of the tools for the precision matching of ultraviolet theories to the Standard Model effective field theory (SMEFT) at the tree level and one loop. Several semi- and fully automated codes are presented, as well as some supplementary codes for the basis conversion and the subsequent running and matching at low energies. A suggestion to collect information for cross-vali… ▽ More

Matchmakereft: automated tree-level and one-loop matching
Abstract: We introduce matchmakereft, a fully automated tool to compute the tree-level and one-loop matching of arbitrary models onto arbitrary effective theories. Matchmakereft performs an off-shell matching, using diagrammatic methods and the background field method when gauge theories are involved. The large redundancy inherent to the off-shell matching together with explicit gauge invariance offers a si… ▽ More

All-multiplicity amplitudes with four massive quarks and identical-helicity gluons
Abstract: We explore the on-shell recursion for tree-level scattering amplitudes with massive spinning particles. Based on the factorization structure encoded in the same way by two different recursion relations, we conjecture an all-multiplicity formula for two gauged massive particles of arbitrary spin and any number of identical-helicity gluons. Specializing to quantum chromodynamics (QCD), we solve the… ▽ More

Tree-level splitting amplitudes for a gluon into four collinear partons
Abstract: We compute in conventional dimensional regularisation the tree-level splitting amplitudes for a gluon parent which splits into four collinear partons. This is part of the universal infrared behaviour of the QCD scattering amplitudes at next- to-next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^3$LO) in the strong coupling constant. Combined with our earlier results for a quark parent, this completes the set of tr… ▽ More

Tree-level splitting amplitudes for a quark into four collinear partons
Abstract: We compute in conventional dimensional regularisation the tree-level splitting amplitudes for a quark parent in the limit where four partons become collinear to each other. This is part of the universal infrared behaviour of the QCD scattering amplitudes at next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (${\rm N^3LO}$) in the strong coupling constant. CP-even scalar boson production via gluon fusion at the LHC

High precision determination of the gluon fusion Higgs boson cross-section at the LHC
