The leading-order perturbative QCD (pQCD) predictions to nucleon electromagnetic form factors were first made in late 70s. Nearly half a century later, we accomplish the calculation of the next-to-leading-order (NLO) QCD corrections to proton and neutron's Dirac form factors at large momentum transfer, to the leading-twist accuracy in collinear factorization. The effect of NLO perturbative corrections turns out to be positive and substantial. Confronting our state-of-the-art pQCD predictions with the available data for nucleon Dirac form factors, in both space-like and time-like regions, imposes a stringent test on the validity of the parameterized forms of nucleon leading-twist light-cone-distribution amplitudes (LCDAs), which have been predicted by a class of QCD sum rules-based models and lattice QCD simulation.

In this work we advocate a set of novel azimuthal-angle-related observables associated with exclusive hadron production from two-photon fusion at $e^+ e^-$ colliders, taking the $γγ\to ππ$ as a benchmark process. As a direct consequence of the linearly polarized quasi-real photons emitted off the electron and positron beams, the $\cos 2φ$ azimuthal asymmetry in dipion production is predicted within the transverse-momentum-dependent (TMD) factorization framework. In numerical analysis, we take the helicity amplitudes of $γγ\to ππ$ determined from the partial wave solutions in dispersion relation as input, and find that the predicted $\cos2φ$ azimuthal modulation may reach 40\% for the typical kinematical setup of {\tt Belle} experiment. Future accurate measurement of this azimuthal asymmetry may facilitate the direct extraction of the relative phase between two helicity amplitudes with photon helicity configurations $++$ and $+-$. This knowledge provides a valuable input for the dispersive determination of the hadronic light-by-light (Hlbl) contributions, which constitutes one of the largest theoretical uncertainties in predictions for the muon anomalous magnetic moment.

In this work we try to search for signals generated by ultra-heavy dark matter at the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) data. We look for possible gamma-ray by dark matter annihilation or decay from 16 dwarf spheroidal galaxies in the field of view of LHAASO. Dwarf spheroidal galaxies are among the most promising targets for indirect detection of dark matter which have low fluxes of astrophysical $γ$-ray background while large amount of dark matter. By analyzing more than 700 days observational data at LHAASO, no significant dark matter signal from 1 TeV to 1 EeV is detected. Accordingly we derive the most stringent constraints on the ultra-heavy dark matter annihilation cross-section up to EeV. The constraints on the lifetime of dark matter in decay mode are also derived.

We investigate the nucleon self energy through the sixth chiral order in the covariant $SU(2)$ chiral perturbation theory ($χ$PT) in the single baryon sector. The validity of the extended on-mass-shell (EOMS) renormalization scheme is explicitly verified to two-loop order, manifested by the miraculous cancellation of all nonlocal divergences and power-counting-breaking (PCB) terms that are nonanalytic in pion mass. Using the $σ_{πN}$ term determined from the latest lattice simulation to constrain some unknown higher-order low energy constants (LECs), we predict the nucleon mass in the chiral limit to be $856.6\pm 1.7$ MeV. It is found that the EOMS scheme exhibits quite satisfactory convergence behavior through ${\cal O}(q^6)$ around physical point. We also predict the pion mass dependence of the nucleon mass to the accuracy of ${\cal O}(q^6)$, which is in satisfactory agreement with the recent lattice results over a wide range of pion mass.

Inspired by the recent observation of the Higgs boson radiative decay into $Z^0$ by {\tt ATLAS} and {\tt CMS} Collaborations, we investigate the next-to-leading-order (NLO) electroweak correction to this rare decay process in Standard Model (SM). Implementing the on-shell renormalization scheme, we find that the magnitude of the NLO electroweak correction may reach $7\%$ of the leading order (LO) prediction, much more significant than that of the NLO QCD correction, which is merely about $0.3\%$. After incorporating the ${\cal O}(α)$ correction, the predicted partial width from various $α$ schemes tend to converge to each other. Including both NLO electroweak and QCD corrections, the SM prediction for the branching fraction shifts from the LO value of $(1.40-1.71)\times 10^{-3}$ to $(1.55\pm 0.06)\times 10^{-3}$, considerably lower than the measured value ${\cal B}_{\rm exp}[H\to Z^0γ]=(3.4\pm 1.1)\times 10^{-3}$. Resolving this alarming discrepancy clearly calls for further theoretical investigations, and, more importantly, experimental efforts from {\tt HL-LHC} and the prospective Higgs factories such as {\tt CEPC} and {\tt FCC-ee}.

We investigate the soft behavior of the tree-level Rutherford scattering processes mediated via $t$-channel one-graviton exchange. We consider two types of Rutherford scattering processes, {\it e.g.}, a low-energy massless structureless projectile (up to spin-$1$) hits a static massive composite particle carrying various spins (up to spin-$2$), and a slowly-moving light projectile hits a heavy static composite target. The unpolarized cross sections in the first type are found to exhibit universal forms at the first two orders in $1/M$ expansion, yet differ at the next-to-next-to-leading order, though some terms at this order still remain universal or depend on the target spin in a definite manner. The unpolarized cross sections in the second type are universal at the lowest order in projectile velocity expansion and through all orders in $1/M$, independent of the spins of both projectile and target. The universality partially breaks down at relative order-$v^2/M^2$, albeit some terms at this order still depend on the target spin in a specific manner.

In this work we investigate the exclusive production of a pair of light neutral mesons in $e^+e^-$ annihilation, where the final state bears an even $C$-parity. The production processes can be initiated via the photon fragmentation or the non-fragmentation mechanism. While the fragmentation contribution can be rigorously accounted, the non-fragmentation contributions are calculated within the framework of collinear factorization, where only the leading-twist light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of mesons are considered. Mediately solely by the non-fragmentation mechanism, the production rates of double light neutral pseudoscalar mesons are too small to be observed at the commissioning $e^+e^-$ facilities. In contrast, the production rates of a pair of light neutral vector mesons are greatly amplified owing to the significant kinematic enhancement brought by the fragmentation mechanism. It is found that, at $\sqrt{s}=3.77$ GeV, after including the destructive interference between the non-fragmentation and fragmentation contributions, the production rates for $e^+e^-\to ρ^{0}ρ^{0}$ and $ρ^0ω$ can be lowered by about 10\% and 30\% relative to the fragmentation predictions. Future precise measurement of these exclusive double neutral vector meson production channels at {\tt BESIII} experiment may provide useful constraints on the LCDAs of light vector mesons.

Nevertheless, in the case when the energy carried by the photon is of order typical heavy quark momentum, the multipole expansion doctrine is expected to break down. In this work, we apply the "hard-scattering" approach originally developed to tackle the strongly hindered magnetic dipole ($M1$) transition [Y.~Jia {\it et al.}, Phys. \ Rev. \ D. 82, 014008 (2010)] to the strongly hindered electric dipole ($E1$) transition between heavy quarkonia. We present a comprehensive study of the light-cone generalized parton distribution (GPD) and quasi-GPD of a flavor-neutral meson in the 't Hooft model, {\it i.e.}, two-dimensional QCD (\QCDtw) in the $N_c\to\infty$ limit. With the aid of the Hamiltonian approach, we construct the light-cone GPD in terms of the meson's light-cone wave function in the framework of light-front quantization, and express the quasi-GPD in terms of the meson's Bars-Green wave functions and the chiral angle in the framework of equal-time quantization. We show that, both analytically and numerically, the quasi-GPD does approach the light-cone GPD when the meson is boosted to the infinite momentum frame, which justifies the tenet underlying the large momentum effective theory for the off-forward parton distribution. Upon taking the forward limit, the light-cone and quasi-GPDs reduce to the light-cone and quasi-PDFs. As a bonus, we take this chance to correct the incomplete expression of the quasi-PDFs in the 't Hooft model reported in our preceding work [Y. Jia et al. Phys. Rev. D 98, 054011 (2018)].

We explicitly verify the validity of the collinear factorization to two-loop order for this observable, and obtain the respective IR-finite two-loop hard-scattering kernel in the closed form. The NNLO QCD correction turns to be positive and significant. Incorporating this new ingredient of correction, we then make a comprehensive comparison between the finest theoretical predictions and numerous pion form factor measurements in both space-like and time-like regions. Our phenomenological analysis provides strong constraint on the second Gegenbauer moment of the pion light-cone distribution amplitude (LCDA) obtained from recent lattice QCD studies.

We carry out a comprehensive study of the quark-to-meson fragmentation function in the 't Hooft model, i.e., the two-dimensional Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) in $N_c\to \infty$ limit, following the operator definition pioneered by Collins and Soper. We apply the Hamiltonian approach as well as the diagrammatic approach to construct the functional form of the quark-to-meson fragmentation function in terms of the meson's light-cone wave function. For the sake of comparison, we also investigate the heavy quark fragmentation into quarkonium in two-dimensional QCD within the framework of the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization, at the lowest order in quark velocity. In the heavy quark limit, the quark fragmentation function obtained from the {\it ab initio} method agrees well, both analytically and numerically, with that obtained from the NRQCD approach. This agreement might be regarded as a nontrivial justification for the validity of both field-theoretical approaches to compute the heavy quark fragmentation function.

The failure of observing the $e^+ e^- \to J/ψ+J/ψ$ events at $B$ factories to date is often attributed to the significant negative order-$α_s$ correction. In this work we compute the ${\cal O}(α^2_s)$ correction to this process for the first time. The magnitude of the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) perturbative correction is substantially negative so that the standard NRQCD prediction would suffer from an unphysical, negative cross section. This dilemma may be traced in the fact that the bulk contribution of the fixed-order radiative corrections stems from the perturbative corrections to the $J/ψ$ decay constant. We thus implement an improved NRQCD factorization framework, by decomposing the amplitude into the photon-fragmentation piece and the non-fragmentation piece. With the measured $J/ψ$ decay constant as input, which amounts to resumming a specific class of radiative and relativistic corrections to all orders, the fragmentation-induced production rate can be predicted accurately and serves a benchmark prediction. The non-fragmentation type of the amplitude is then computed through NNLO in $α_s$ and at lowest order in velocity. Both the ${\cal O}(α_s)$ and ${\cal O}(α^2_s)$ corrections in the interference term become positive and exhibit a decent convergence behavior. Our finest prediction is $σ(e^+ e^- \to J/ψ+J/ψ)= 2.13^{+0.30}_{-0.06}$ fb at $\sqrt{s}=10.58$ GeV. With the projected integrated luminosity of 50 ${\rm ab}^{-1}$, the prospect to observe this exclusive process at \texttt{Belle} 2 experiment appears to be bright.

Domain wall networks are two-dimensional topological defects generally predicted in many beyond standard model physics. In this Letter, we propose to solve the domain wall problem with the first-order phase transition. We numerically study the phase transition dynamics, and for the first time show that the domain walls reached scaling regime can be diluted through the interaction with vacuum bubbles during the first-order phase transition. We find that the amplitude of the gravitational waves produced by the second-stage first-order phase transition is several orders higher than that from the domain walls evolution in the scaling regime. The scale of the first-order phase transition that dilute the domain walls can be probed through gravitational waves detection.

The intrinsic charm parton distribution function (PDF) of a light meson, which first arises at order $N_c^{-1}$, is explicitly expressed in terms of the 't Hooft wave functions of the light meson and an infinite towers of excited charmed mesons. We also derive the functional forms from the two-dimensional counterparts of the meson cloud model (MCM) and Brodsky-Hoyer-Peterson-Sakai (BHPS) model. We then make a quantitative comparison between our rigorous results and model predictions. We also study how the profile of the intrinsic charm PDF varies with charm quark mass. The average momentum fraction carried by the charm quark inside a light meson is found to decrease faster than $m_c^{-4}$ with increasing charm quark mass.

Within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization, we compute the three-loop QCD corrections to the decay constant of $B_c$. We reconstruct the analytical expressions for the three-loop renormalization constant and the corresponding anomalous dimension affiliated with the pseudoscalar current composed of two different heavy flavors in NRQCD, which are functions of the ratio between the charm and bottom quark masses. Meanwhile, the short-distance coefficient is obtained with very high numerical accuracy. The three-loop QCD correction turns out to be overwhelmingly large. The phenomenological implication of this new piece of radiative corrections for the $B_c$ leptonic decay is also addressed.

We confirm the existing three-loop results in literature. Furthermore, we explicitly consider the complex-valued light-by-light (singlet) contributions. We for the first time also consider the finite charm quark mass effect for $Υ$ leptonic decay, and obtain a new piece of 3-loop contribution to the anomalous dimension related to the composite NRQCD bilinear of vector current that arises from the nonzero charm quark mass. Based on the complete three-loop NRQCD short-distance coefficients, we also present a comprehensive phenomenological analysis for $Υ(J/ψ)$ leptonic width.

We find that the photoproduction rates of the $C$-even quarkonia through this mechanism are comparable in magnitude with that through the odderon-initiated mechanism, even in the Regge limit ($s\gg -t$), though the latter types of predictions suffers from considerable theoretical uncertainties. The future measurements of these types of quarkonium photoproduction processes in \texttt{EIC} and \texttt{EicC} are crucial to ascertain which mechanism plays the dominant role.

The validity of NRQCD factorization at ${\cal O}(α_s^2)$ has been confirmed for these double-charmonium exclusive production processes. We analyze the impact of the $\mathcal{O}(α_s^2)$ corrections on the polarized and unpolarized cross sections, as well as the $J/ψ$ angular distributions, which largely reduce the renormalization scale dependence but increase the ${\mathcal O}(α_s)$ NRQCD predictions to some extent for $χ_{c0,1}$. With high numerical accuracy, our predictions for $σ(J/ψ+χ_{c1,2})$ through ${\mathcal O}(α_s^2)$ are compatible with the upper limit of the \texttt{Belle} measurement. Although the theoretical prediction for $σ(J/ψ+χ_{c0})$ is consistent with both \texttt{Belle} and \texttt{BaBar} measurements within uncertainties, there still exists serious tension between the predicted and the measured profiles for the $J/ψ$ angular distribution. Regarding the bright observation prospect of the $e^+e^-\to J/ψ+χ_{c1,2}$ channels in \texttt{Belle 2} experiment, it is interesting to compare the future measurements with our NRQCD predictions. The more accurate measurement of $e^+e^-\to J/ψ+χ_{0}$ at \texttt{Belle 2} will also help to clarify the long-standing puzzle of $J/ψ$ angular distribution.

Within the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization framework, we compute the ${\mathcal O}(α_s v^2)$ corrections to the hadronic decay rate of vector quarkonia, exemplified by $J/ψ$ and $Υ$. Setting both the renormalization and NRQCD factorization scales to be $m_Q$, we obtain $Γ(J/ψ\to {\rm LH})= 0.0716\frac{α_s^3}{m_c^2} \langle \mathcal{O}_1({}^3S_1)\rangle_{J/ψ} [1-1.19α_s+(-5.32+3.03α_s)\langle v^2\rangle_{J/ψ}]$ and $Γ(Υ\to {\rm LH})= 0.0716\frac{α_s^3}{m_b^2}\langle\mathcal{O}_1({}^3S_1)\rangle_Υ[1-1.56α_s+(-5.32+4.61α_s)\langle v^2\rangle_Υ]$. We confirm the previous calculation of $\mathcal{O}(α_s)$ corrections on a diagram-by-diagram basis, with the accuracy significantly improved. For $J/ψ$ hadronic decay, we find that the ${\mathcal O}(α_sv^2)$ corrections are moderate and positive, nevertheless unable to counterbalance the huge negative corrections. On the other hand, the effect of ${\mathcal O}(α_sv^2)$ corrections for $Υ(nS)$ is sensitive to the $\mathcal{O}(v^2)$ NRQCD matrix elements. With the appropriate choice of the NRQCD matrix elements, our theoretical predictions for the decay rates may be consistent with the experimental data for $Υ(1S,2S)\to {\rm LH}$. As a byproduct, we also present the theoretical predictions for the branching ratio of $J/ψ(Υ)\to 3γ$ accurate up to $\mathcal{O}(α_s v^2)$.

In contrast to the case of vector meson decay into a single pair of leptons, the lepton mass must be retained in these four-lepton decay channels to cutoff the mass singularity. Owing to more pronounced collinear enhancement, the branching fractions of vector mesons decays into $ 2(e^+e^-)$ are considerably greater than those for decays into $2(μ^+μ^-)$. The decay channels $J/ψ(Υ)\to 2(e^+e^-), e^+e^-μ^+μ^-$ are predicted to have branching fractions of order $10^{-5}$, which appear to have bright observation prospect at {\tt BESIII}, {\tt Belle 2} and {\tt LHC} experiments.

The $X(6900)$ resonance, very recently discovered in the double-$J/ψ$ channel at LHCb experiment, has spurred intensive interest in unravelling the nature of the fully charmed tetraquark state. The aim of this paper is to present a model-independent theoretical framework to study the inclusive production of this novel species of exotic hadrons, the resonances composed of four heavy quark (commonly referred to as $T_{4c}$), at large $p_T$ in hadron collision experiments. Appealing to asymptotic freedom and the fact $m_c\gg Λ_{\rm QCD}$, we propose that the nonpertubative yet universal gluon-to-$T_{4c}$ fragmentation function, can be decomposed into the product of the perturbatively calculable short-distance coefficient and the long-distance NRQCD matrix elements. We compute the short-distance coefficient at lowest-order in $α_s$ and velocity expansion. Adopting the diquark ansatz to roughly estimate those not-yet-known NRQCD matrix elements, together with the standard QCD factorization theorem, we predict the differential production rates for the $T_{4c/4b}(0^{++})$ and $T_{4c/4b}(2^{++})$ at large $p_T$ in $pp$ collision, which eagerly awaits the confrontation with the future LHC experiments.

Within the nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization framework, we have computed the ${\mathcal O}(α_s^2)$ corrections to the exclusive production of $P$-wave spin-triplet charmonia $χ_{cJ}(J=0,1,2)$ accompanied by a hard photon at $B$ factories. For the first time, we have explicitly verified the validity of NRQCD factorization for exclusive $P$-wave quarkonium production at two-loop order. Unlike the $χ_{cJ}$ electromagnetic decay processes, the $\mathcal{O}(α_s^2)$ corrections are found to be smaller than the $\mathcal{O}(α_s)$ corrections in all three channels $e^+e^-\to χ_{c0,1,2}+γ$. In particular, the ${\mathcal O}(α_s^2)$ corrections appear moderate for $χ_{c1}$ case, and insignificant for $χ_{c0}$. In addition, the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) predictions for the production rates of $χ_{c0,1}+γ$ are insensitive to the renormalization and factorization scales. All of these features may indicate that perturbative expansion in these two channels exhibits a decent convergence behavior. By contrast, both the ${\mathcal O}(α_s)$ and ${\mathcal O}(α_s^2)$ corrections to the $χ_{c2}+γ$ production cross section are sizable, which even reduces the Born order cross section by one order of magnitude after including the NNLO perturbative correction. Taking the values of the long-distance NRQCD matrix elements from nonrelativistic potential model, our prediction to $χ_{c1}+γ$ production rate is consistent with the recent {\tt Belle} measurement. The NNLO predictions for the $χ_{c0,2}+γ$ production rates are much smaller than that for $χ_{c1}+γ$, which seems to naturally explain why the $e^+e^-\to χ_{c0,2}+γ$ channels have escaped experimental detection to date.

The light-cone distribution amplitude (LCDA) of a heavy-light meson defined in heavy quark effective theory (HQET), is a fundamental nonperturbative input to account for innumerable $B$ meson exclusive decay and production processes. On the other hand, the conventional heavy-flavored meson LCDA defined in QCD, also ubiquitously enters the factorization formula for hard exclusive $B$ production processes. Inspired by the observation that these two LCDAs exhibit the identical infrared behaviors, yet differ in the ultraviolet scale of order $m_b$ or greater, we propose a novel factorization theorem for the heavy-light mesons, that the LCDA defined in QCD can be further expressed as a convolution between the LCDA in HQET and a perturbatively calculable coefficient function thanks to asymptotic freedom. This refactorization program can be invoked to fully disentangle the effects from three disparate scales $Q$, $m_b$ and $Λ_{\rm QCD}$ for a hard exclusive $B$ production process, particularly to facilitate the resummation of logarithms of type $\ln Q/m_b$ and $\ln m_b/Λ_{\rm QCD}$ in a systematic fashion.

Analogous to NRQCD factorization for heavy quarkonium exclusive production, in this work we propose to employ the heavy-quark-effective-theory (HQET) factorization, which has been predominantly applied to account for exclusive $B$ decays, to study the exclusive production of the heavy-flavored mesons. We take $W\to B(D_s)+γ$ as a prototype process. The validity of the HQET factorization rests upon the presumed scale hierarchy: $m_W\sim m_b\gg Λ_{\rm QCD}$. Through an explicit analysis at next-to-leading order in $α_s$ yet at leading order in $1/m_b$, we verify that the decay form factors can indeed be expressed as the convolution between perturbatively calculable hard-scattering kernel and the $B$ meson light-cone distribution amplitude (LCDA) defined in HQET. It is observed that the factorization scale dependence becomes reduced after incorporating the NLO perturbative correction. An interesting future investigation is to identify and resum large collinear logarithms of $m_W/m_b$ that arise ubiquitously in the fixed-order expressions of the hard-scattering kernel in HQET factorization.

The rare process of $W$ radiative decay into the $B_c$ meson can serve as an interesting play ground for testing two influential perturbative QCD approaches: non-relativistic quantum chromodynamics (NRQCD) and ligh-cone (LC) factorization. Since the $B_c$ meson is a genuine heavy quarkonium which is composed of two different species of heavy quarks, it is natural to employ NRQCD factorization to tackle this exclusive quarkonium production process; on the other hand, since the mass of the $W$ boson is much greater than that of the $B_c$, the collinear factorization is also a viable approach. To fully disentangle the contributions from several distinct scales $M_W$, $m_Q$, $m_Q v$ ($v$ represents the typical velocity of the $c/\bar{b}$ quarks inside $B_c$), and $Λ_{\rm QCD}$, we carry out a joint analysis that combines both light-cone and NRQCD factorization approaches, and compute the order-$α_s$ correction to $W \to B_c+γ$. With the aid of the celebrated Efremov-Radyushkin-Brodsky-Lepage (ERBL) evolution equation, we resum the leading collinear logarithms $α_s \ln\! {M_W\over m_Q}$ to all orders in $α_s$. We also explore some phenomenological implications of our predictions.

There is a long-standing puzzle concerning the Coulomb solutions of the Dirac equation, i.e., what is the physics governing the weakly divergent near-the-origin behavior of the Dirac wave functions of the $nS_{1/2}$ hydrogen? As a sequel of our preceding work that aim to demystifying the universal near-the-origin behavior of the atomic Schrödinger and Klein-Gordon wave functions, the goal of this work is to demonstrate that, within the nonrelativistic effective field theory (NREFT) tailored for Coulombic atoms, the universal logarithmic divergence of the Dirac wave functions can be accounted by the perturbatively calculable Wilson coefficient emerging from the operator product expansion (OPE) of the electron and the nucleus fields. The cause is due to the relativistic kinetic correction and Darwin (zitterbewegung) term in the NREFT. With the aid of renormalization group equation, one can resum the leading logarithms to all orders in $Zα$ and recover the $r^{-Z^2α^2/2}$ anomalous scaling behavior exhibited by the Dirac wave function for the $nS_{1/2}$ hydrogen. It appears somewhat counterintuitive that these universal logarithmic divergences can not be accounted by the OPE set up in the relativistic QED. We are thereby enforced to conclude that the Dirac wave function must cease to be meaningful when $r$ is shorter than the electron's Compton wavelength.

There have been some long-standing puzzles related to the Coulomb solutions of the Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations, namely how to understand the physics underlying the weakly divergent near-the-origin behavior of the $S$-wave wave functions for the hydrogen-like atoms. Taking the Klein-Gordon wave function as a simpler example, in this work we demonstrate that, with the aid of the renormalization group equation, this universal short-distance behavior can be successfully taken into account by the operator product expansion (OPE) formulated in the nonrelativistic effective field theory (EFT), which is tailored for Coulombic atoms. The key is to include the relativistic kinetic correction in the EFT. Somewhat counterintuitively, these universal near-the-origin logarithmic divergences can not be addressed by the OPE set up in the relativistic scalar QED. We conclude that the Klein-Gordon wave function at a length scale shorter than the electron Compton wavelength may cease to make physical significance.

The associated production of Higgs boson with a muon pair, $e^+e^-\to μ^+μ^- H$, is one of the golden channels to pin down the properties of the Higgs boson in the prospective Higgs factories exemplified by \textsf{CEPC}. The projected accuracy of the corresponding cross section measurement is about per cent level at CEPC. In this work, we investigate both ${\mathcal O}(α)$ weak correction and the ${\mathcal O}(αα_s)$ mixed electroweak-QCD corrections for this channel, appropriately taking into account the effect of finite $Z^0$ width. The $μ^+μ^-$ invariant mass spectrum is also predicted. The mixed electroweak-QCD correction turns out to reach 1.5\% of the Born-order result, and thereby must be included in future confrontation with the data. We also observe that, after including higher-order corrections, the simplified prediction for the integrated cross section employing the narrow-width-approximation may deviate from our full result by a few per cents.

We follow the operator definition of the fragmentation function advanced by Collins and Soper. The key technique underpinning our calculation is the sector decomposition method widely used in the area of multi-loop computation. It is found that the NLO QCD corrections have significant effects, and qualitatively modify the profiles of the corresponding leading-order fragmentation functions.

We revisit the coalescence behavior of the atomic Schrödinger wave functions from the angle of operator product expansion (OPE) within the nonrelativistic Coulomb-Schrödinger effective field theory. We take the electron-nucleus coalescence as an explicit example to demonstrate our formalism, where the celebrated Kato's cusp condition can be easily reproduced. An exact OPE relation is rigorously proved to all orders in perturbation theory. Our approach can be readily extended to ascertain the multi-particle coalescence behaviors of atomic wave functions, as well as to take relativistic effects into account.

This work is driven by our curiosity towards some basic questions in QCD: how is the energy of a moving hadron partitioned among different gauge-invariant sectors in QCD Hamiltonian? How is the energy of an massless pion separated between quark and gluon sectors, particularly in the soft pion limit? Is it possible to decompose the celebrated Gell-Mann-Oakes-Renner (GOR) relation? To what extent can we justify the quark potential model from the field-theoretical mass decomposition for heavy quarkonium? Due to limitation of contemporary nonperturbative tools, we do not yet know answers to these questions in realistic QCD. In this work, we take the 't Hooft model (two-dimensional QCD in large-$N$ limit) as a prototype model that mimics some essential aspects of the true QCD. We investigate the gauge-invariant energy decomposition of a flavor-neutral meson that can carry an arbitrary momentum (including stationary case), with meson species ranging from massless pion to bottomonium. All the aforementioned questions can be addressed satisfactorily within this model, in particular some unexpected patterns related to pion are discovered for the first time in two-dimensional QCD. We hope that our study can offer some useful clues and stimulation for future investigations on hadron energy decomposition in realistic QCD.

As a sequel of our preceding work [1] we carry out a comprehensive comparative study between the quasi parton distribution functions (PDFs), distribution amplitudes (DAs) and their light-cone counterparts for various flavor-neutral mesons, in the context of the 't Hooft model, that is, the two-dimensional QCD in the large $N$ limit. In contrast to the original derivation via diagrammatic techniques exemplified by Dyson-Schwinger and Bethe-Salpeter equations, here we employ the Hamiltonian operator approach to reconstruct the celebrated 't Hooft equation in light-front quantization, and Bars-Green equations in equal-time quantization. The novelty of our derivation is to employ the soft momentum cutoff as the IR regulator. As a virtue of this operator approach, the functional form of the quasi distributions can be transparently built out of the Bars-Green wave functions and the Bogoliubov angle with the aid of bosonization technique. Equipped with various bound-state wave functions numerically inferred in [1], we then investigate how rapidly the quasi distributions approach their light-cone counterparts with the increasing meson momentum. We observe that, light mesons' quasi distributions approach the light-cone distributions in a slower pace than the heavy quarkonia. Curiously, lattice simulations of quasi distributions in four-dimensional QCD also discover this feature. Furthermore, we also compute the partonic light-cone PDF and quasi-PDF to one-loop order in perturbation theory, again employing the momentum cutoff as the IR regulator. We explicitly verify one of the backbones underlying the large momentum effective field theory (LaMET), namely, both quasi-PDFs and light-cone PDFs in ${\rm QCD}_2$ indeed possess the same IR behavior at leading order in $1/P^z$

We calculate the next-to-leading order (NLO) radiative correction to the color-octet $h_c$ inclusive production in $e^+e^-$ annihilation at Super $B$ factory, within the nonrelativistic QCD factorization framework. The analytic expression for the NLO short-distance coefficient (SDC) accompanying the color-octet production operator $\mathcal{O}_8^{h_c}(^1S_0)$ is obtained after summing both virtual and real corrections. The size of NLO correction for the color-octet production channel is found to be positive and substantial. The NLO prediction to the $h_c$ energy spectrum is plagued with unphysical endpoint singularity. With the aid of the soft-collinear effective theory, those large endpoint logarithms are resummed to the next-to-leading logarithmic (NLL) accuracy. Consequently, further supplemented with the non-perturbative shape function, we obtain the well-behaved predictions for the $h_c$ energy spectrum in the entire kinematic range, which awaits the examination by the forthcoming Belle II experiment.

We calculate in the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization framework all leading relativistic corrections to the exclusive production of $χ_{cJ}+γ$ in $e^+ e^-$ annihilation. In particular, we compute for the first time contributions induced by octet operators with a chromoelectric field. The matching coefficients multiplying production long distance matrix elements (LDMEs) are determined through perturbative matching between QCD and NRQCD at the amplitude level. Technical challenges encountered in the non-relativistic expansion of the QCD amplitudes are discussed in detail. The main source of uncertainty comes from the not so well known LDMEs. Accounting for it, we provide the following estimates for the production cross sections at $\sqrt{s} = 10.6\textrm{ GeV}$: $σ(e^+ e^- \to χ_{ c0} + γ) = (1.3 \pm 0.4) \textrm{ fb}$, $σ(e^+ e^- \to χ_{ c1} + γ) = (15.4 \pm 6.7) \textrm{ fb}$, and $σ(e^+ e^- \to χ_{ c2} + γ) = (4.7 \pm 2.6) \textrm{ fb}$.

After the recent historical discovery of gravitational wave, it is curious to speculate upon the detection prospect of the quantum graviton in the terrestrial accelerator-based experiment. We carefully investigate the "golden" channels, $J/ψ(Υ)\toγ+\text{graviton}$, which can be pursued at \textsf{BESIII} and \textsf{Belle 2} experiments, by searching for single-photon plus missing energy events. Within the effective field theory (EFT) framework of General Relativity (GR) together with Nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD), we are capable of making solid predictions for the corresponding decay rates. It is found that these extremely suppressed decays are completely swamped by the Standard Model background events $J/ψ(Υ)\to γ+ν\barν$. Meanwhile, we also study these rare decay processes in the context of massive gravity, and find the respective decay rates in the limit of vanishing graviton mass drastically differ from their counterparts in GR. Counterintuitive as the failure of smoothly recovering GR results may look, our finding is reminiscent of the van Dam-Veltman-Zakharov (vDVZ) discontinuity widely known in classical gravity, which can be traced to the finite contribution of the helicity-zero graviton in the massless limit. Nevertheless, at this stage we are not certain about the fate of the discontinuity encountered in this work, whether it is merely a pathology or not. If it could be endowed with some physical significance, the future observation of these rare decay channels, would, in principle, shed important light on the nature of gravitation, whether the graviton is strictly massless, or bears a very small but nonzero mass.

The corresponding Bethe-Salpeter equation for a bound $q\bar{q}$ pair, originally derived by Bars and Green in 1978, was first numerically tackled by Li and collaborators in late 1980s, yet only for the {\it stationary} mesons. In this paper, we make further progress by numerically solving the Bars-Green equation for {\it moving} mesons, ranging from the chiral pion to charmonium. By choosing several different quark masses, we computed the corresponding quark condensates, meson spectra and their decay constants for a variety of meson momenta, and found satisfactory agreement with their counterparts obtained using light-cone gauge, thus numerically verified the gauge and Poincaré invariance of the 't Hooft model. Moreover, we have explicitly confirmed that, as the meson gets more and more boosted, the large component of the Bars-Green wave function indeed approaches the corresponding 't Hooft light-cone wave function, while the small component of the wave function rapidly fades away.

We compute the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD corrections to the hadronic decay rates of the pseudoscalar quarkonia, at the lowest order in velocity expansion. The validity of NRQCD factorization for inclusive quarkonium decay process, for the first time, is verified to relative order $α_s^2$. As a byproduct, the renormalization group equation (RGE) of the leading NRQCD 4-fermion operator ${\cal O}_1({}^1S_0)$ is also deduced to this perturbative order. By incorporating this new piece of correction together with available relativistic corrections, we find that there exists severe tension between the state-of-the-art NRQCD predictions and the measured $η_c$ hadronic width, and in particular the branching fraction of $η_c\to γγ$. NRQCD appears to be capable of accounting for $η_b$ hadronic decay to a satisfactory degree, and our most refined prediction is ${\rm Br}(η_b\to γγ) = (4.8\pm 0.7)\times 10^{-5}$.
