Within the framework of the quark delocalization color screening model, a systematic investigation of the anticharmed-strange pentaquark system is performed using the resonance group method. The currently estimations predict three bound states with estimated masses to be 2886 MeV, 3039 MeV, and 3153 MeV, respectively. Additionally, three resonance states are identified in various scattering phase shifts processes. Among them, two resonance states $ΣD$ and $Σ^{\ast}D^{\ast}$ with quantum number $\frac{1}{2}(\frac{1}{2}^{-})$ are detected in channels $ND_{s}^{\ast}$ and $ND$, and $ΣD^{\ast}$ and $ΛD$, with masses and decay widths of ($M_{R}=3053\sim3055$ MeV, $T_{total}=13.0\sim13.4$ MeV) and ($M_{R}=3389\sim3390$ MeV, $T_{total}=10.4$ MeV), respectively. In the $ΛD^{\ast}$ and $ΣD^{\ast}$ channels, a resonance state with quantum number $\frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2}^{-})$ is discovered, with its mass and decay width being $3250\sim3252$ MeV and 4.4 MeV, respectively. These predicted pentaquark states have $\bar{c}snnn$ quark compositions, allowing them to be recognized as genuine pentaquark states. To validate these predictions, it is expected that upcoming experiments will further explore the predicted resonance and bound states in these possible decay channels.

In this work we try to search for signals generated by ultra-heavy dark matter at the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) data. We look for possible gamma-ray by dark matter annihilation or decay from 16 dwarf spheroidal galaxies in the field of view of LHAASO. Dwarf spheroidal galaxies are among the most promising targets for indirect detection of dark matter which have low fluxes of astrophysical $γ$-ray background while large amount of dark matter. By analyzing more than 700 days observational data at LHAASO, no significant dark matter signal from 1 TeV to 1 EeV is detected. Accordingly we derive the most stringent constraints on the ultra-heavy dark matter annihilation cross-section up to EeV. The constraints on the lifetime of dark matter in decay mode are also derived.

A primary objective in high-energy heavy-ion collisions is to investigate the phase transition between confined and deconfined color matter. Complementary to the cumulants of conserved charges integrated over the full azimuth, we introduce a novel experimental approach to explore particle fluctuations in azimuthal partitions, which are potentially sensitive to the first-order phase transition in heavy-ion collisions. We evaluate proton multiplicity ($N_w$) fluctuations in azimuthal partitions of width $w$ to quantitatively estimate the clustering tendency among these protons. The $Δσ^2$ observable is defined as the normalized difference between the variance of the $N_w$ distribution and the binomial baseline. We demonstrate the feasibility and characteristics of this observable through simulations using the AMPT and MUSIC+FIST models. We also use a Gaussian correlation model to illustrate that the dependence of $Δσ^2$ on $w$ can be parameterized to accurately extract the strength and the range of the input interaction among protons.

We explore the bound neutrons decay into invisible particles (e.g., $n\rightarrow 3 ν$ or $nn \rightarrow 2 ν$) in the JUNO liquid scintillator detector. The invisible decay includes two decay modes: $ n \rightarrow { inv} $ and $ nn \rightarrow { inv} $. The invisible decays of $s$-shell neutrons in $^{12}{\rm C}$ will leave a highly excited residual nucleus. Subsequently, some de-excitation modes of the excited residual nuclei can produce a time- and space-correlated triple coincidence signal in the JUNO detector. Based on a full Monte Carlo simulation informed with the latest available data, we estimate all backgrounds, including inverse beta decay events of the reactor antineutrino $\barν_e$, natural radioactivity, cosmogenic isotopes and neutral current interactions of atmospheric neutrinos. Pulse shape discrimination and multivariate analysis techniques are employed to further suppress backgrounds. With two years of exposure, JUNO is expected to give an order of magnitude improvement compared to the current best limits. After 10 years of data taking, the JUNO expected sensitivities at a 90% confidence level are $τ/B( n \rightarrow { inv} ) > 5.0 \times 10^{31} \, {\rm yr}$ and $τ/B( nn \rightarrow { inv} ) > 1.4 \times 10^{32} \, {\rm yr}$.

In this study, the impact of triangle singularity is investigated in the isospin-breaking process $J/ψ\to Λ\barΛ π$. The triangle singularity is found to play a significant role in the process, resulting in the creation of a resonance-like structure around 1.4 GeV in the $Λπ(\barΛπ)$ invariant mass spectrum. To amplify the impact of this triangle singularity, the presence of two $Σ^*(\frac{1}{2}^-)$ states around 1.4 GeV and 1.6 GeV is essential, yet these states have not been definitively identified in the current baryon spectrum. We recommend that experiments, particularly the Bei**g Spectrometer (BESIII) and the future Super Tau-Charm Factory (STCF), to investigate the process $J/ψ\to Λ\barΛ π$ to offer direct evidences for our predicted triangle singularity and additional evidence regarding the $Σ(\frac{1}{2}^-)$ states.

We have investigated the $qss\bar{q}q$ ($q = u$ or $d$) system to find possible pentaquark explanations for the $Ξ$ resonances. The bound state calculation is carried out within the framework of the quark delocalization color screening model. The scattering processes are also studied to examine the possible resonance states. The current results indicate that the $Ξ(1950)$ can be interpreted as $Λ\bar{K}^*$ state with $J^P = 1/2^-$. Three states are identified that match the $Ξ(2250)$, which are $Σ^* \bar{K}^*$ state with $J^P = 3/2^-$, $Σ^* \bar{K}^*$ state with $J^P =5/2^-$, and $Ξ^* ρ$ state with $J^P =5/2^-$. This may explain the conflicting experimental values for the width of the $Ξ(2250)$. A new $Ξ$ resonance is predicted, whose mass and width are 2066--2079 MeV and 186--189 MeV, respectively. These results contribute to understanding the nature of the $Ξ$ resonances and to the future search for new $Ξ$ resonances. Moreover, it is meaningful to further investigate the $Ξ$ resonances from an unquenched picture on the basis of pentaquark investigation.

It's widely accepted that the main component of $X(3872)$ contains the molecular $\bar{D}D^{*}$, while the main component of $D_{s0}^{*}(2317)$ is molecular $DK$. Based on these three well-known exotic states, $T_{cc} (DD^{*})$, $X(3872) (\bar{D}D^{*})$ and $D_{s0}^{*}(2317) (DK)$, we dynamically investigate $D^{*}DK$ and $DD^{*}\bar{D}$ systems at quark level to search for possible bound states. The results show that both of them are bound states, in which the binding energy of the molecular state $DD^*K$ is relatively small, only 0.8 MeV, while the binding energy of $DD^*\bar{D}$ is up to 1.9 MeV. According to the calculation results of the Root-square-mean distances, the spatial structure of the two systems shows obvious ($DD^*$)-($\bar{D}$/$K$) structure, in which $D$ is close to $D^*$ while $DD^*$ as a whole is relatively distant from the third hadron ($\bar{D}$/$K$), which are similar to the nucleon-electron structure. As a result, we strongly recommend that these bound states $DD^*\bar{D}$ and $DD^*K$ are searched for experimentally.

There is a novel concept that detecting $χ$ from evaporating primordial black holes (PBHs). We search for $χ$ emitted from PBHs by investigating their interaction with target electrons. The examined PBH masses range from 1$\times$10$^{15}$ to 7$\times$10$^{16}$ g under the current limits of PBH abundance $f_{PBH}$. Using 205.4 kg$\cdot$day data obtained from the CDEX-10 experiment conducted in the China **** Underground Laboratory, we exclude the $χ$--electron ($χ$--$e$) elastic-scattering cross section $σ_{χe} \sim 5\times10^{-29}$ cm$^2$ for $χ$ with a mass $m_χ\lesssim$ 0.1 keV from our results. If ($m_χ$, $σ_{χe}$) can be determined in the future, DD experiments are expected to impose strong constraints on $f_{PBH}$ for large $M_{PBH}$s.

Inspired by the recent Altas and CMS experiments on the invariant mass spectrum of $J/ψJ/ψ$, we systematically study the $c\bar{c}c\bar{c}$ system of $J^{P}=0^{+}$. In the framework of chiral quark model, we have carried out bound-state calculation and resonance-state calculation respectively by using Real-scaling method. The results of bound-state calculation show that there are no bound states in the $c\bar{c}c\bar{c}$ with $0^{+}$ system. The resonance-state calculation shows that there are four possible stable resonances: $R(6920)$, $R(7000)$, $R(7080)$ and $R(7160)$. $R(6920)$ and $R(7160)$ are experimental candidates for $X(6900)$ and $X(7200)$, whose main decay channel is $J/ψJ/ψ$. It is important to note that the another major decay channel of $R(7160)$ is $χ_{c0} χ_{c0} $, and the $χ_{c0} χ_{c0} $ is also the main decay channel of $R(7000)$, $R(7080)$. Therefore, we propose to search experimentally for these two predicted resonances in the $χ_{c0} χ_{c0}$ invariant mass spectrum.

Among the various candidates for dark matter (DM), ultralight vector DM can be probed by laser interferometric gravitational wave detectors through the measurement of oscillating length changes in the arm cavities. In this context, KAGRA has a unique feature due to differing compositions of its mirrors, enhancing the signal of vector DM in the length change in the auxiliary channels. Here we present the result of a search for $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge boson DM using the KAGRA data from auxiliary length channels during the first joint observation run together with GEO600. By applying our search pipeline, which takes into account the stochastic nature of ultralight DM, upper bounds on the coupling strength between the $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge boson and ordinary matter are obtained for a range of DM masses. While our constraints are less stringent than those derived from previous experiments, this study demonstrates the applicability of our method to the lower-mass vector DM search, which is made difficult in this measurement by the short observation time compared to the auto-correlation time scale of DM.

Since the quark model was put forward, theoretical researchers have always attached great importance to the study of hidden color channels (including color octets and diquark structure). Because of the influence of color Van der waals forces, the hidden color channel itself has strong attraction, which provides a dynamic mechanism for the formation of resonance state or bound state. In this paper, taking the $T_{cc}$ system as an example, under the framework of multi-Gaussian expansion method, a set of relatively complete color singlets (that is, the ground state of the color singlet plus its corresponding higher-order component) is used to replace the contribution of the color octet. Similarly, we endeavor to replace the diquark structure with a relatively complete set of molecular states, encompassing both the ground state and excited states. Our results demonstrate that the color octet structure can be effectively replaced by a set of relatively complete color singlet bases, while the diquark structure cannot be entirely substituted by an equivalently comprehensive set of molecular state bases.

The full data set of the Daya Bay reactor neutrino experiment is used to probe the effect of the charged current non-standard interactions (CC-NSI) on neutrino oscillation experiments. Two different approaches are applied and constraints on the corresponding CC-NSI parameters are obtained with the neutrino flux taken from the Huber-Mueller model with a $5\%$ uncertainty. For the quantum mechanics-based approach (QM-NSI), the constraints on the CC-NSI parameters $ε_{eα}$ and $ε_{eα}^{s}$ are extracted with and without the assumption that the effects of the new physics are the same in the production and detection processes, respectively. The approach based on the weak effective field theory (WEFT-NSI) deals with four types of CC-NSI represented by the parameters $[\varepsilon_{X}]_{eα}$. For both approaches, the results for the CC-NSI parameters are shown for cases with various fixed values of the CC-NSI and the Dirac CP-violating phases, and when they are allowed to vary freely. We find that constraints on the QM-NSI parameters $ε_{eα}$ and $ε_{eα}^{s}$ from the Daya Bay experiment alone can reach the order $\mathcal{O}(0.01)$ for the former and $\mathcal{O}(0.1)$ for the latter, while for WEFT-NSI parameters $[\varepsilon_{X}]_{eα}$, we obtain $\mathcal{O}(0.1)$ for both cases.

The interaction between baryons and mesons and the influence of channel coupling are studied in this work. Three compact $qqc\bar{c}c$ pentaquark states are obtained, whose masses are 5259 MeV with $I(J^P)$ = $0(1/2^-)$, 5396 MeV with $I(J^P)$ = $1(1/2^-)$, and 5465 MeV with $I(J^P)$ = $1(3/2^-)$. Two molecular states are obtained, which are $I(J^P)$ = $0(1/2^-)$ $Λ_c J/ψ$ with 5367 MeV and $I(J^P)$ = $0(5/2^-)$ $Ξ_{cc}^* \bar{D}^*$ with 5690 MeV. These predicted states may provide important information for future experimental search.

Motivated by the LHCb Collaboration's observation of a doubly charmed tetraquark state $T_{cc}(3875)$, we systematically investigate the existence of doubly charmed pentaquark states using the resonating group method based on the QDCSM framework. The effective potential of the two involved hadrons and the bound state dynamics are included in the present work. Moreover, we have also calculated the scattering phase shifts of open channels by channel coupling to look for possible resonance states. Our estimations indicate that there is a bound state in $I(J^{P})=\frac{3}{2}(\frac{5}{2}^{-})$, with a mass of $4461.7$ MeV. Additionally, five resonance states can be obtained by coupling the open channel, which are $Ξ_{cc}ρ$ and $Σ_{c}D^{\ast}$ with $I(J^{P})=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{1}{2}^{-})$, $Λ_{c}D^{\ast}$ and $Σ_{c}D^{\ast}$ with $I(J^{P})=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2}^{-})$ and $Σ_{c}D^{\ast}$ with $I(J^{P})=\frac{3}{2}(\frac{1}{2}^{-})$respectively. The existence of these predicted doubly charmed pentaquark states needs to be supported by experimental measurements and discoveries. We hope that some experiments can find evidence of these states.

In the framework of the chiral quark model, we investigate the $Qq\bar{q}\bar{q}$ ($Q= c, b$ and $q= u, d$) tetraquark system with two structures: $Q\bar{q}$-$q\bar{q}$ and $Qq$-$\bar{q}\bar{q}$. The bound-state calculation shows that for the single channel, there is no evidence for any bound state below the minimum threshold in both $cq\bar{q}\bar{q}$ and $bq\bar{q}\bar{q}$ systems. However, after coupling all channels of two structures, we obtain a bound state below the minimum threshold in the $cq\bar{q}\bar{q}$ system with the energy of $1998$ MeV, and the quantum number is $IJ^{P}=\frac{1}{2}0^{+}$. Meanwhile, in the $bq\bar{q}\bar{q}$ system, two bound states with energies of $5414$ MeV and $5456$ MeV are obtained, and the quantum numbers are $IJ^{P}=\frac{1}{2}0^{+}$ and $IJ^{P}=\frac{1}{2}1^{+}$, respectively. Besides, we also employe the real-scaling method to search for resonance states in the $cq\bar{q}\bar{q}$ and $bq\bar{q}\bar{q}$ systems. Unfortunately, no genuine resonance states were obtained in both systems. We suggest future experiments to search for these three possible bound states.

Energetic quarks and gluons lose energy as they traverse the hot and dense medium created in high-energy heavy-ion collisions at the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The nuclear modification factor ($R_{AA}$) of leading particles quantifies parton energy loss in such collisions, with the particle spectrum in $p+p$ collisions as a reference. Previous $R_{AA}$ measurements at RHIC energies have revealed an approximately constant trend at high transverse momenta ($p_{T}$), implying a scenario where parton energy loss, $Δp_{T}$, scales proportionally with $p_{T}$, a feature naively expected from energy loss dynamics in elastic collisions. In this study, we investigate the LHC $R_{AA}$ measurements which exhibit a pronounced $p_{T}$ dependence of $R_{AA}$ for various particle species, and our analysis attributes this behavior to $Δp_T$ being approximately proportional to $\sqrt{p_{T}}$. These distinct features are consistent with model calculations of dominant radiative energy loss dynamics at the LHC, in contrast to the dominance of collisional energy loss at RHIC. Additionally, the linear increase of fractional energy loss with medium density at different $p_{T}$ magnitudes affirms the previous empirical observation that the magnitude of the energy loss depends mostly on the initial entropy density, with no significant path-length dependence. Implications on the dynamical scenarios of parton energy loss and future experimental investigations will also be discussed.

The $Ω_c(3120)$ can also be interpreted as a molecular $Ξ_c^* \bar{K}$ state with $J^P=3/2^-$ and a new molecular state $Ξ^*_c \bar{K}^*$ with $J^P=5/2^-$ and a mass of 3527 MeV is predicted, which is worth searching in the future. Other reported $Ω_c$ states cannot be well described in the framework of pentaquark systems in present work. The three-quark excited state, or the unquenched picture may be a good explanation, which is worth further exploration.

Recently a dark matter-electron (DM-electron) paradigm has drawn much attention. Models beyond the standard halo model describing DM accelerated by high energy celestial bodies are under intense examination as well. In this Letter, a velocity components analysis (VCA) method dedicated to swift analysis of accelerated DM-electron interactions via semiconductor detectors is proposed and the first HPGe detector-based accelerated DM-electron analysis is realized. Utilizing the method, the first germanium based constraint on sub-GeV solar reflected DM-electron interaction is presented with the 205.4 kg$\cdot$day dataset from the CDEX-10 experiment. In the heavy mediator scenario, our result excels in the mass range of 5$-$15 keV/$c^2$, achieving a 3 orders of magnitude improvement comparing with previous semiconductor experiments. In the light mediator scenario, the strongest laboratory constraint for DM lighter than 0.1 MeV/$c^2$ is presented. The result proves the feasibility and demonstrates the vast potential of the VCA technique in future accelerated DM-electron analyses with semiconductor detectors.

Two kinds of configurations, the meson-meson configuration and diquark-antidiquark configuration, are considered in the calculation. Our estimations indicate that the coupled channel effects play important role in the multiquark system, and a bound state with $J^{P}=1^{+}$ and a resonance state with $J^{P}=0^{+}$ have been predicted. The mass of the bound state is evaluated to be $(3971\sim3975)$ MeV, while the mass and width of the resonance are determined to be $(4113\sim4114)$ MeV and $(14.3\sim 16.1)$ MeV, respectively.

The core-collapse supernova (CCSN) is considered one of the most energetic astrophysical events in the universe. The early and prompt detection of neutrinos before (pre-SN) and during the supernova (SN) burst presents a unique opportunity for multi-messenger observations of CCSN events. In this study, we describe the monitoring concept and present the sensitivity of the system to pre-SN and SN neutrinos at the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), a 20 kton liquid scintillator detector currently under construction in South China. The real-time monitoring system is designed to ensure both prompt alert speed and comprehensive coverage of progenitor stars. It incorporates prompt monitors on the electronic board as well as online monitors at the data acquisition stage. Assuming a false alert rate of 1 per year, this monitoring system exhibits sensitivity to pre-SN neutrinos up to a distance of approximately 1.6 (0.9) kiloparsecs and SN neutrinos up to about 370 (360) kiloparsecs for a progenitor mass of 30 solar masses, considering both normal and inverted mass ordering scenarios. The pointing ability of the CCSN is evaluated by analyzing the accumulated event anisotropy of inverse beta decay interactions from pre-SN or SN neutrinos. This, along with the early alert, can play a crucial role in facilitating follow-up multi-messenger observations of the next galactic or nearby extragalactic CCSN.

We construct effective Gaussian-type $NΛ_c$ potentials which reproduce the $NΛ_c$ scattering data given by the QDCSM. By solving the $NNΛ_c$ three body Schrödinger equation with the Gaussian expansion method, we calculate the energies of the $^3_{Λ_c}$H with isospin $I=0$, $J^P=1/2^+$ and $I=0$, $J^P=3/2^+$ under different color screening parameter $μ$. The $J^P=1/2^+$ and $J^P=3/2^+$ states are both bound when the color screening parameter $μ$ is set to 1.0 or 1.2, where the $J^P=1/2^+$ state is bound by $0.08\sim0.85$ MeV and the $J^P=3/2^+$ state is bound by $0.15\sim1.31$ MeV with respect to the deuteron-$Λ_c$ threshold.

In nuclear collisions at RHIC energies, an excess of $Ω$ hyperons over $\barΩ$ is observed, indicating that $Ω$ carries a net baryon number despite $s$ and $\bar{s}$ quarks being produced in pairs. The baryon number in $Ω$ could have been transported from the incident nuclei and/or produced in baryon-pair production of $Ω$ with other types of anti-hyperons, such as $\barΞ$. To investigate these two scenarios, we propose to measure correlations between $Ω$ and $K$, as well as between $Ω$ and anti-hyperons. We will use two versions, the default and string-melting, of a multiphase transport (AMPT) model to illustrate the method to measure the correlation and to demonstrate the general shape of the correlation. We will present the $Ω$-hadron correlations from simulated $\mathrm{Au}$+$\mathrm{Au}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 7.7$ and $14.6 \ \mathrm{GeV}$, and discuss the dependence on collision energy and on the hadronization scheme in these two AMPT versions. These correlations can be used to explore the mechanism of baryon number transport and the effects of baryon number and strangeness conservation in nuclear collisions.

We discuss JUNO sensitivity to the annihilation of MeV dark matter in the galactic halo via detecting inverse beta decay reactions of electron anti-neutrinos resulting from the annihilation. We study possible backgrounds to the signature, including the reactor neutrinos, diffuse supernova neutrino background, charged- and neutral-current interactions of atmospheric neutrinos, backgrounds from muon-induced fast neutrons and cosmogenic isotopes. A fiducial volume cut, as well as the pulse shape discrimination and the muon veto are applied to suppress the above backgrounds. It is shown that JUNO sensitivity to the thermally averaged dark matter annihilation rate in 10 years of exposure would be significantly better than the present-day best limit set by Super-Kamiokande and would be comparable to that expected by Hyper-Kamiokande.

The binding energies of these states are all below 10 MeV and the root mean square (RMS) are around 1.8 fm, which indicates that these states are likely to be molecular states. These predicted exotic states may provide new ideas for experimental searches and we expect more experimental and theoretical researches to study and understand the fully heavy states in future.

This White Paper presents the community inputs and scientific conclusions from the Hot and Cold QCD Town Meeting that took place September 23-25, 2022 at MIT, as part of the Nuclear Science Advisory Committee (NSAC) 2023 Long Range Planning process. A total of 424 physicists registered for the meeting. The meeting highlighted progress in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) nuclear physics since the 2015 LRP (LRP15) and identified key questions and plausible paths to obtaining answers to those questions, defining priorities for our research over the coming decade. In defining the priority of outstanding physics opportunities for the future, both prospects for the short (~ 5 years) and longer term (5-10 years and beyond) are identified together with the facilities, personnel and other resources needed to maximize the discovery potential and maintain United States leadership in QCD physics worldwide. This White Paper is organized as follows: In the Executive Summary, we detail the Recommendations and Initiatives that were presented and discussed at the Town Meeting, and their supporting rationales. Section 2 highlights major progress and accomplishments of the past seven years. It is followed, in Section 3, by an overview of the physics opportunities for the immediate future, and in relation with the next QCD frontier: the EIC. Section 4 provides an overview of the physics motivations and goals associated with the EIC. Section 5 is devoted to the workforce development and support of diversity, equity and inclusion. This is followed by a dedicated section on computing in Section 6. Section 7 describes the national need for nuclear data science and the relevance to QCD research.

Based on these advantages, the detection efficiency for the proton decay via $p\to \barνK^+$ is 36.9% with a background level of 0.2 events after 10 years of data taking. The estimated sensitivity based on 200 kton-years exposure is $9.6 \times 10^{33}$ years, competitive with the current best limits on the proton lifetime in this channel.

The real-scaling method is utilized to check the bound states and the genuine resonance states. The root mean square of cluster spacing is also calculated to study the structure of the states and estimate if the state is resonance state or not. The numerical results show that $Λ_{c}(2910)$ cannot be interpreted as a molecular state, and $Σ_{c}(2800)$ cannot be explained as the $ND$ molecular state with $J^P=1/2^-$. $Λ_{c}(2595)$ can be interpreted as the molecular state with $J^P=\frac{1}{2}^-$ and the main component is $Σ_{c}π$. $Λ_{c}(2625)$ can be interpreted as the molecular state with $J^P=\frac{3}{2}^-$ and the main component is $Σ_{c}^{*}π$. $Λ_{c}(2940)$ is likely to be interpreted as a molecular state with $J^P=3/2^-$, and the main component is $ND^{*}$. Besides, two new molecular states are predicted, one is the $J^P=3/2^-$ $Σ_{c}ρ$ resonance state with the mass around 3140 MeV, another one is the $J^P=\frac{5}{2}^-$ $Σ_{c}^*ρ$ with the mass of 3188.3 MeV.

Inspired by the states $T_{c\bar{s}0}^{a}(2900)^{0}$ and $T_{c\bar{s}0}^{a}(2900)^{++}$ reported by the LHCb Collaboration, we carry out a systematical investigation of the charm-strange pentaquark system using resonance group method in the quark delocalization color screening model. The present results predict the existence of some bound states and resonance states with support from the study of the mass spectrum and the decay properties. Both $Σ_{c}^{\ast}K^{\ast}$ with $I(J^{P})=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{5}{2}^{-})$ and $ΔD_{s}^{\ast}$ with $I(J^{P})=\frac{3}{2}(\frac{5}{2}^{-})$ are bounded by channel coupling calculation. Moreover, the resonance state $Σ_{c}K^{\ast}$ with $I(J^{P})=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{1}{2}^{-})$ and $I(J^{P})=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2}^{-})$ are available in QDCSM, the masses and the total decay widths of which are ($R^{\prime}=3342\sim3346$ MeV, $Γ_{Total}=25.5$ MeV) and ($R^{\prime}=3333$ MeV, $Γ_{Total}=3.3$ MeV), respectively. In addition, the resonance state $ΔD_{s}^{\ast}$ with $I(J^{P})=\frac{3}{2}(\frac{1}{2}^{-})$ is also obtained, the mass and the decay width of this state are 3343 MeV and 0.01 MeV, respectively. These predicted new exotic states may provide new ideas for experimental searches and we sincerely expect more experimental and theoretical research to verify and understand the charm-strange pentaquark states in the future.

In the presence of PBH abundance compatible with present bounds, our result excludes the $χ$-nucleon elastic-scattering cross section region from 3.4$\times$10$^{-32}$ cm$^{2}$ to 2.3$\times$10$^{-29}$ cm$^{2}$ for $χ$ of 1 keV to 24 MeV from PBHs with masses of 5$\times$10$^{15}$ g, as well as from 1.1$\times$10$^{-28}$ cm$^{2}$ to 7.6$\times$10$^{-28}$ cm$^{2}$ for $χ$ of 1 keV to 0.6 MeV from PBHs with masses of 7$\times$10$^{16}$ g. If the $χ$-nucleon elastic-scattering cross section can be determined in the future, the abundance of PBHs may be severely constrained by $χ$ evaporation. With the lower threshold (160 eVee) of the CDEX-10 experiment compared to the previously used experiments, this work allows for a better reach at soft spectra produced by heavier PBHs, which demonstrates the vast potential of such a technical route to pursue $χ$ from larger PBHs with a low threshold.

Recently, Belle\uppercase\expandafter{\romannumeral2} Collaboration firstly reported a new resonance $ωχ_{bJ}$ in the processes of $e^{+}e^{-} \rightarrow ωχ_{bJ}$ at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}=10.745$ GeV. Given the Born cross section similar with the previously reported $Υ(10753)$, the new resonance $ωχ_{bJ}$ may have be $Υ(10753)$. From the perspectives of traditional $Υ(nS)$ meson and exotic tetraquark $b\bar{q}q\bar{b}$ state with the $J^{PC}$ = $1^{--}$, we tentatively investigate the $Υ(10753)$ by solving Schrödinger equation in the framework of the chiral quark model. Numerical results for the meson show that the mass of $Υ(5S)$ is up to 10.86 GeV and unsuitable for the candidate of $Υ(10753)$. On the other hand, not only the two kinds of molecular structure ($b\bar{b}$-$q\bar{q}$, $b\bar{q}$-$q\bar{b}$) but also the \da~structure ($\bar{b}\bar{q}$-$qb$) are considered into our tetraquark calculation with the help of Gaussian expansion method. When a fully-channel coupling is performed using the real-scaling method (stabilization method), we get a stable resonance $^1R_{1}(10770)$ ( $^{2S+1}R_J$ ) with a great component of the diquark-antidiquark state. Combined with the mass and width of $^1R_{1}(10770)$, it may be a good candidate for experimental $Υ(10753)$. Besides, several resonance states ranging from 10.82 GeV to 10.96 GeV are obtained, which are expected to be further verified in future experiments.

The physics potential of detecting $^8$B solar neutrinos will be exploited at the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), in a model independent manner by using three distinct channels of the charged-current (CC), neutral-current (NC) and elastic scattering (ES) interactions. Due to the largest-ever mass of $^{13}$C nuclei in the liquid-scintillator detectors and the {expected} low background level, $^8$B solar neutrinos would be observable in the CC and NC interactions on $^{13}$C for the first time. By virtue of optimized event selections and muon veto strategies, backgrounds from the accidental coincidence, muon-induced isotopes, and external backgrounds can be greatly suppressed. Excellent signal-to-background ratios can be achieved in the CC, NC and ES channels to guarantee the $^8$B solar neutrino observation. From the sensitivity studies performed in this work, we show that JUNO, with ten years of data, can reach the {1$σ$} precision levels of 5%, 8% and 20% for the $^8$B neutrino flux, $\sin^2θ_{12}$, and $Δm^2_{21}$, respectively. It would be unique and helpful to probe the details of both solar physics and neutrino physics. In addition, when combined with SNO, the world-best precision of 3% is expected for the $^8$B neutrino flux measurement.

We investigate exotic neutrino interactions using the 205.4 kg$\cdot$day dataset from the CDEX-10 experiment at the China **** Underground Laboratory. New constraints on the mass and couplings of new gauge bosons are presented. Two nonstandard neutrino interactions are considered: a $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge-boson-induced interaction between an active neutrino and electron/nucleus, and a dark-photon-induced interaction between a sterile neutrino and electron/nucleus via kinetic mixing with a photon. This work probes an unexplored parameter space involving sterile neutrino coupling with a dark photon. New laboratory limits are derived on dark photon masses below $1~{\rm eV}/c^{2}$ at some benchmark values of $Δm_{41}^{2}$ and $g^{\prime2}{\rm{sin}}^{2}2θ_{14}$.

We report a measurement of cumulants and correlation functions of event-by-event proton multiplicity distributions from fixed-target Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 3 GeV measured by the STAR experiment. Protons are identified within the rapidity ($y$) and transverse momentum ($p_{\rm T}$) region $-0.9 < y<0$ and $0.4 < p_{\rm T} <2.0 $ GeV/$c$ in the center-of-mass frame. A systematic analysis of the proton cumulants and correlation functions up to sixth-order as well as the corresponding ratios as a function of the collision centrality, $p_{\rm T}$, and $y$ are presented. The effect of pileup and initial volume fluctuations on these observables and the respective corrections are discussed in detail. The results are compared to calculations from the hadronic transport UrQMD model as well as a hydrodynamic model. In the most central 5\% collisions, the value of proton cumulant ratio $C_4/C_2$ is negative, drastically different from the values observed in Au+Au collisions at higher energies. Compared to model calculations including Lattice QCD, a hadronic transport model, and a hydrodynamic model, the strong suppression in the ratio of $C_4/C_2$ at 3 GeV Au+Au collisions indicates an energy regime dominated by hadronic interactions.

We report the triton ($t$) production in mid-rapidity ($|y| <$ 0.5) Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}}$= 7.7--200 GeV measured by the STAR experiment from the first phase of the beam energy scan at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). The nuclear compound yield ratio ($\mathrm{N}_t \times \mathrm{N}_p/\mathrm{N}_d^2$), which is predicted to be sensitive to the fluctuation of local neutron density, is observed to decrease monotonically with increasing charged-particle multiplicity ($dN_{ch}/dη$) and follows a scaling behavior. The $dN_{ch}/dη$ dependence of the yield ratio is compared to calculations from coalescence and thermal models. Enhancements in the yield ratios relative to the coalescence baseline are observed in the 0\%-10\% most central collisions at 19.6 and 27 GeV, with a significance of 2.3$σ$ and 3.4$σ$, respectively, giving a combined significance of 4.1$σ$. The enhancements are not observed in peripheral collisions or model calculations without critical fluctuation, and decreases with a smaller $p_{T}$ acceptance. The physics implications of these results on the QCD phase structure and the production mechanism of light nuclei in heavy-ion collisions are discussed.

A decisive experimental test of the Chiral Magnetic Effect (CME) is considered one of the major scientific goals at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider (RHIC) towards understanding the nontrivial topological fluctuations of the Quantum Chromodynamics vacuum. In heavy-ion collisions, the CME is expected to result in a charge separation phenomenon across the reaction plane, whose strength could be strongly energy dependent. The previous CME searches have been focused on top RHIC energy collisions. In this Letter, we present a low energy search for the CME in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{_{\rm{NN}}}}=27$ GeV. We measure elliptic flow scaled charge-dependent correlators relative to the event planes that are defined at both mid-rapidity $|η|<1.0$ and at forward rapidity $2.1 < |η|<5.1$. We compare the results based on the directed flow plane ($Ψ_1$) at forward rapidity and the elliptic flow plane ($Ψ_2$) at both central and forward rapidity. The CME scenario is expected to result in a larger correlation relative to $Ψ_1$ than to $Ψ_2$, while a flow driven background scenario would lead to a consistent result for both event planes. In 10-50\% centrality, results using three different event planes are found to be consistent within experimental uncertainties, suggesting a flow driven background scenario dominating the measurement. We obtain an upper limit on the deviation from a flow driven background scenario at the 95\% confidence level. This work opens up a possible road map towards future CME search with the high statistics data from the RHIC Beam Energy Scan Phase-II.

New low-mass dark matter searching channels, neutral current fermionic DM absorption ($χ+A\rightarrow ν+A$) and DM-nucleus 3$\rightarrow$2 scattering ($χ+χ+A\rightarrow φ+A$), have been analyzed with an energy threshold of 160 eVee. No significant signal was found. Thus new limits on the DM-nucleon interaction cross section are set for both models at sub-GeV DM mass region. A cross section limit for the fermionic DM absorption is set to be $\rm 2.5\times 10^{-46} cm^2$(90\% C.L.) at DM mass of 10 MeV/c$^2$. For the DM-nucleus 3$\rightarrow$2 scattering scenario, limits are extended to DM mass of 5 MeV/c$^2$ and 14 MeV/c$^2$ for the massless dark photon and bound DM final state, respectively.

We present improved germanium-based constraints on sub-GeV dark matter via dark matter--electron ($χ$-$e$) scattering using the 205.4 kg$\cdot$day dataset from the CDEX-10 experiment. Using a novel calculation technique, we attain predicted $χ$-$e$ scattering spectra observable in high-purity germanium detectors. In the heavy mediator scenario, our results achieve 3 orders of magnitude of improvement for $m_χ$ larger than 80 MeV/c$^2$ compared to previous germanium-based $χ$-$e$ results. We also present the most stringent $χ$-$e$ cross-section limit to date among experiments using solid-state detectors for $m_χ$ larger than 90 MeV/c$^2$ with heavy mediators and $m_χ$ larger than 100 MeV/c$^2$ with electric dipole coupling. The result proves the feasibility and demonstrates the vast potential of a new $χ$-$e$ detection method with high-purity germanium detectors in ultralow radioactive background.

We present the detection potential for the diffuse supernova neutrino background (DSNB) at the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), using the inverse-beta-decay (IBD) detection channel on free protons. We employ the latest information on the DSNB flux predictions, and investigate in detail the background and its reduction for the DSNB search at JUNO. The atmospheric neutrino induced neutral current (NC) background turns out to be the most critical background, whose uncertainty is carefully evaluated from both the spread of model predictions and an envisaged \textit{in situ} measurement. We also make a careful study on the background suppression with the pulse shape discrimination (PSD) and triple coincidence (TC) cuts. With latest DSNB signal predictions, more realistic background evaluation and PSD efficiency optimization, and additional TC cut, JUNO can reach the significance of 3$σ$ for 3 years of data taking, and achieve better than 5$σ$ after 10 years for a reference DSNB model. In the pessimistic scenario of non-observation, JUNO would strongly improve the limits and exclude a significant region of the model parameter space.

In the present work, the triply heavy tetraquarks states $QQ\bar{Q}\bar{q}$ with $Q=(c, b)$ and $q=(u, d, s)$ with all possible quantum numbers are systematically investigated in the framework of the chiral quark model with the resonance ground method. Two kinds of structures, including the meson-meson configuration (the color-singlet channels and the hidden-color channels) and the diquark-antidiquark configuration (the color sextet-antisextet and the color triplet-antitriplet), are considered. In the considered system, several bound states are obtained for the $cc\bar{c}\bar{q^{'}}$, $bb\bar{c}\bar{q^{'}}$ and $bc\bar{c}\bar{q}$ tetraquarks. From the present estimations, we find that the coupled channel effect is of great significance for forming the below thresholds tetraquark states, which are stable for strong decays.

The New Physics reach is of order $10^~3$TeV mass scale. Observation of the proton EDM provides the best probe of CP-violation in the Higgs sector, at a level of sensitivity that may be inaccessible to electron-EDM experiments. The improvement in the sensitivity to $θ_{QCD}$, a parameter crucial in axion and axion dark matter physics, is about three orders of magnitude.

Motivated by the recent discovery of the hidden charm exotic state with strangeness by the BESIII and LHCb Collaborations, we study the $S$ wave strange hidden bottom tetraquark in two kinds of quark models. Both meson-meson and diquark-antidiquark configurations are taken into account. The numerical results indicate that there is no bound state in both quark models. However, several resonance states have been predicted. Three resonance states with $I(J^{P})=\frac{1}{2}(0^{+})$ are found, the energy ranges of which are $10479\sim 10550$, $10528\sim 10632$, and $10597\sim 10681$ MeV, respectively. Three resonance states with $I(J^{P})=\frac{1}{2}(1^{+})$ are predicted to be located in $10491\sim 10675$, $10502\sim 10679$, and $10522\sim 10723$ MeV, respectively. Moreover, there also exist a resonance with $I(J^{P})=\frac{1}{2}(2^{+})$ and the mass is estimated to be $10531\sim 10680$ MeV. All these predicted states in the present work should be accessible for the further experiments in LHCb

Notwithstanding decades of progress since Yukawa first developed a description of the force between nucleons in terms of meson exchange, a full understanding of the strong interaction remains a major challenge in modern science. One remaining difficulty arises from the non-perturbative nature of the strong force, which leads to the phenomenon of quark confinement at distances on the order of the size of the proton. Here we show that in relativistic heavy-ion collisions, where quarks and gluons are set free over an extended volume, two species of produced vector (spin-1) mesons, namely $φ$ and $K^{*0}$, emerge with a surprising pattern of global spin alignment. In particular, the global spin alignment for $φ$ is unexpectedly large, while that for $K^{*0}$ is consistent with zero. The observed spin-alignment pattern and magnitude for the $φ$ cannot be explained by conventional mechanisms, while a model with a connection to strong force fields, i.e. an effective proxy description within the Standard Model and Quantum Chromodynamics, accommodates the current data. This connection, if fully established, will open a potential new avenue for studying the behaviour of strong force fields.

We present new constraints on light dark matter boosted by cosmic rays (CRDM) using the 205.4 kg day data of the CDEX-10 experiment conducted at the China **** Underground Laboratory. The Monte Carlo simulation package CJPL\_ESS was employed to evaluate the Earth shielding effect. Several key factors have been introduced and discussed in our CRDM analysis, including the contributions from heavier CR nuclei than proton and helium, the inhomogeneity of CR distribution, and the impact of the form factor in the Earth attenuation calculation. Our result excludes the dark matter--nucleon elastic scattering cross-section region from $1.7\times 10^{-30}$ to $10^{-26}~\rm cm^2$ for dark matter of 10 keV$/c^2$ to 1 GeV$/c^2$.
