With the help of $π$-$π$ distribution amplitude and scalar form factor $F_{ππ}(ω^2)$, we calculate the CP averaged branching fraction and the CP asymmetry for the quasi-two-body decays $B\to P f_0(500)\to Pπ^+π^-$. Taking the quasi-two-body decay $B^+ \to π^+ f_0(500) \to π^+ π^+ π^-$ as an explicit example, we present the behaviour of differential branching fraction and direct CP violation versus the $π$-$π$ invariant mass. The total branching fraction and direct CP violation are $\mathcal{B}(B^+\to π^+ [σ\to]π^+π^-) = (1.78 \pm 0.41\pm 0.51) \times 10^{-6}$ and $\mathcal{A}_{\rm CP}(B^+\to π^+ [σ\to]π^+π^-) = (29.8\pm 11.1\pm 13.0)\%$ respectively. Our results could be tested by further experiments.

The measurements in $b\to s$ penguin-dominated decays are widely recognized as promising avenues for searching for New Physics by studying the deviation from theoretical estimations within the Standard Model. However, most current estimations focus only on short-distance interactions, and the influence oflong-distance interactions may exclude the impact of new physics. This suggests that it is essential to estimate the long-distance contribution before probing New Physics in penguin-dominated decays. We highlights an oversight regarding long-distance interactions, which significantly contribute to the decay $B_s\to K^{*0}\bar{K}^{*0}$. Both short-distance and long-distance interactions play crucial roles in this decay. We give estimations of the branching ratio and longitudinal polarization of $B_s\to K^{*0}\bar{K}^{*0}$, which is consistent with experimental observations.

In this paper, we carry out an investigation into the semileptonic decays $D_s^+ \to K^0\ell^+ν_\ell$ with $\ell=(e,μ)$ by employing the QCD light-cone sum rules approach. The vector transition form factor (TFF) $f_+^{D_s^+ K^0}(q^2)$ for $D_s^+\to K^0$ decay is calculated while considering its next-to-leading order contribution. Subsequently, we briefly introduce the twist-2, 3 kaon distribution amplitudes, which are calculated by using QCD sum rules within the framework of the background field theory. At the large recoil point, the TFF has $f_+^{D_s^+ K^0}(0)=0.692_{-0.026}^{+0.027}$. Then, we extrapolate $f_+^{D_s^+ K^0}(q^2)$ to the whole physical $q^2$-region via the simplified $z(q^2,t)$-series expansion, and the behavior of TFF $f_+^{D_s^+ K^0}(q^2)$ is exhibited in the numerical results part, including the theoretical and experimental predictions for comparison. In addition, we compute the differential branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+ \to K^0\ell^+ν_\ell)$ with the electron and muon channels, which are expected to be $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+ \to K^0e^+ν_e)=3.379_{-0.275}^{+0.301}\times 10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+ \to K^0μ^+ν_μ)=3.351_{-0.273}^{+0.299}\times 10^{-3}$ as well as contained other results for comparison. Our results show good agreement with the BESIII measurements and theoretical predictions. Furthermore, we present our prediction with respect to the CKM matrix element $|V_{cd}|$ by using the $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+ \to K^0e^+ν_e)$ result from BESIII Collaboration, yielding $|V_{cd}|=0.221_{-0.010}^{+0.008}$. Finally, we provide the ratio between $D_s^+ \to K^0e^+ν_e$ and $D_s^+ \to ηe^+ν_e$ channels, i.e. $\mathcal{R}_{K^0/η}^e=0.144_{-0.020}^{+0.028}$.

In the present paper, we study the properties of $φ$-meson longitudinal leading-twist light-cone distribution amplitude $φ_{2;φ}^{\|}(x,μ)$ by starting from a light-cone harmonic oscillator model for its wavefunction. To fix the input parameters, we derive the first ten $ξ$-moments of $φ_{2;φ}^{\|}(x,μ)$ by using the QCD sum rules approach under the background field theory. The shape of $φ_{2;φ}^{\|}(x,μ=2~{\rm GeV})$ tends to be a single-peak behavior, which is consistent with the latest Lattice QCD result. As an application, we derive the $D^+_s \to φ$ transition form factors (TFFs) by using the light-cone sum rules approach. At the large recoil point, we obtain $A_1(0) = 0.512_{-0.020}^{+0.030}$, $A_2(0) = 0.402_{-0.067}^{+0.078}$, $A_0(0) = 0.596_{-0.020}^{+0.025}$ and $V(0) = 0.882_{-0.036}^{+0.040}$. As for the two typical ratios $γ_V$ and $γ_2$, we obtain $γ_V = 1.723_{-0.021}^{+0.023}$ and $γ_2 = 0.785_{-0.104}^{+0.100}$. After extrapolating those TFFs to the physically allowable region, we then obtain the transverse, longitudinal and total decay widths for semi-leptonic decay $D^+_s\toφ\ell^+ν_{\ell}$. Then the branching fractions are ${\cal B}(D^+_s\to φe^+ν_e) = (2.367_{-0.132}^{+0.256})\times 10^{-3}$ and ${\cal B}(D^+_s\to φμ^+ν_μ) = (2.349_{-0.132}^{+0.255})\times 10^{-3}$, which show good agreement with the data issued by the BESIII, the CLEO, and the BABAR Collaborations. We finally calculate $D^+_s\toφ\ell^+ ν_\ell$ polarization and asymmetry parameters.

After constructing the light-cone harmonic oscillator model for pion twist-2, 3 DAs, we get their behaviors by matching the calculated $ξ$-moments. Then, the $D\to π$ transition form factors are calculated by using QCD light-cone sum rules approach. The vector form factor at large recoil region is $f_+^{D\toπ}(0) = 0.627^{+0.120} _{-0.080}$. By taking the rapidly $z(q^2,t)$ converging simplified series expansion, we present the TFFs and the corresponding angular coefficients in the whole squared momentum transfer physical region. Furthermore, we display the semileptonic decay process $\bar D^0 \to π^+ e\bar ν_e$ differential decay widths and branching fraction with ${\cal B}(\bar D^0\toπ^+e\barν_e) = 0.308^{+0.155}_{-0.066} \times 10^{2}$. The $\bar D^0\toπ^+e\barν_e$ differential/total predictions for forward-backward asymmetry, $q^2$-differential flat terms and lepton polarization asymmetry are also given. After considering the non-standard neutrino interactions, the predictions for the $D^+ \to π^+ ν\barν$ branching fraction is ${\cal B}(D^+ \to π^+ {ν}{\barν}) = 1.85^{+0.93}_{-0.46}\times10^{-8}$.

A model proposed by Chang based on the Dyson-Schwinger equations (DSEs) is adopted to describe the behavior of $φ_{2;ρ}^\|(x,μ)$. On the other hand, the $ξ$-moments of $φ_{2;ρ}^\|(x,μ)$ are calculated with the QCD sum rules in the framework of the background field theory. The sum rule formula for those moments are improved. More accurate values for the first five nonzero $ξ$-moments at typical scale $μ=1, 1.4, 2, 3~{\rm GeV}$ are given, e.g., at $μ= 1~{\rm GeV}$, \modi{$\langleξ^2\rangle_{2;ρ}^\| = 0.220(6) $, $\langleξ^4\rangle_{2;ρ}^\| = 0.103(4)$, $\langleξ^6\rangle_{2;ρ}^\| = 0.066(5)$, $\langleξ^8\rangle_{2;ρ}^\| = 0.046(4)$ and $\langleξ^{10}\rangle_{2;ρ}^\| = 0.035(3)$}. By fitting those values with the least squares method, the DSE model for $φ_{2;ρ}^\|(x,μ)$ is determined. By taking the left-handed current light-cone sum rule approach, we get the transition form factor at large recoil region, {\it i.e.} $A_1(0) = 0.498^{+0.014}_{-0.012}$, $A_2(0)=0.460^{+0.055}_{-0.047}$, $V(0) = 0.800^{+0.015}_{-0.014}$, and the ratio $r_2 = 0.923^{+0.133}_{-0.119}$, $r_V = 1.607^{+0.071}_{-0.071}$. After making the extrapolation with a rapidly converging series based on $z(t)$-expansion, we present the decay width for the semileptonic decays $D\toρ\ell^+ν_\ell$. Finally, the branching fractions are $\mathcal{B}(D^0\to ρ^- e^+ ν_e) = 1.889^{+0.176}_{-0.170}\pm 0.005$, $\mathcal{B}(D^+ \to ρ^0 e^+ ν_e) = 2.380^{+0.221}_{-0.214}\pm 0.012$, $\mathcal{B}(D^0\to ρ^- μ^+ ν_μ) = 1.881^{+0.174}_{-0.168}\pm 0.005$, $\mathcal{B}(D^+ \to ρ^0 μ^+ ν_μ) =2.369^{+0.219}_{-0.211}\pm 0.011$.

Neutron scattering off neutron halos can provide important information about the internal structure of nuclei close to the neutron drip line. In this work, we use halo effective field theory to study the $s$-wave scattering of a neutron and the spin-parity $J^P=\frac{1}{2}^+$ one-neutron halo nuclei $^{11}\rm Be$, $^{15}\rm C$, and $^{19}\rm C$ at leading order. In the $J=1$ channel, the only inputs to the Faddeev equations are their one-neutron separation energies. In the $J=0$ channel, the neutron-neutron scattering length and the two-neutron separation energies of $\rm ^{12}Be$, $\rm ^{16}C$ and $\rm ^{20}C$ enter as well. The numerical results show that the total $s$-wave cross sections in the $J=1$ channel at threshold are of the order of a few barns. In the $J=0$ channel, these cross sections are of the order of a few barns for $n$-$^{11}\rm Be$ and $n$-$^{19}\rm C$ scattering, and about 60 $\rm mb$ for the $n$-$^{15}\rm C$ scattering. The appearance of a pole in $p\cotδ$ close to zero in all three cases indicates the existence of a virtual Efimov state close to threshold in each of the $^{12}\rm Be$, $^{16}\rm C$, and $^{20}\rm C$ systems. Observation of this pole would confirm the presence of Efimov physics in halo nuclei. The dependence of the results on the neutron-core scattering length is also studied.

The $η^{(\prime)}$-mesons in the quark-flavor basis are mixtures of two mesonic states $|η_{q}\rangle=|\bar u u+\bar d d\rangle/\sqrt 2$ and $|η_{s}\rangle=|\bar s s\rangle$. In the previous work, we have made a detailed study on the $η_{s}$ leading-twist distribution amplitude. As a sequential work, in the present paper, we fix the $η_q$ leading-twist distribution amplitude by using the light-cone harmonic oscillator model for its wave function and by using the QCD sum rules within the QCD background field to calculate its moments. The input parameters of $η_q$ leading-twist distribution amplitude $φ_{2;η_q}$ at an initial scale $μ_0\sim 1$ GeV are then fixed by using those moments. The sum rules for the $0_{\rm th}$-order moment can also be used to fix the magnitude of $η_q$ decay constant, which gives $f_{η_q}=0.141\pm0.005$ GeV. As an application of the present derived $φ_{2;η_q}$, we calculate the transition form factors $B(D)^+ \toη^{(\prime)}$ by using the QCD light-cone sum rules up to twist-4 accuracy and by including the next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the twist-2 part, and then fix the related CKM matrix element and the decay width for the semi-leptonic decays $B(D)^+ \toη^{(\prime)}\ell^+ ν_\ell$.

In this paper, the semileptonic decays $D_s^+ \to π^0\ell^+ ν_\ell$ with $\ell=(e,μ)$ are investigated by using the light-cone sum rule approach. Firstly, the neutral meson mixing scheme between $π^0$, $η$, $η^\prime$ and pseudoscalar gluonium $G$ is discussed in a unified way, which leads to the direct connection between two different channels for $D_s^+\to π^0\ell^+ν_\ell$ and $D_s^+ \to η\ell^+ν_\ell$ by the $π^0-η$ mixing angle. Then we calculated the $D_s\to π^0$ transition form factors (TFFs) within QCD light-cone sum rule approach up to next-to-leading order correction. At the large recoil point, we have $f_+^{D_s^+π^0}(0)=0.0113_{-0.0019}^{+0.0024}$ and $f_-^{D_s^+π^0}(0)=0.0020_{-0.0009}^{+0.0008}$. Furthermore, the TFFs are extrapolated to the whole physical $q^2$-region by using the simplified $z(q^2)$-series expansion. The behaviors of TFFs and related three angular coefficient functions $a_{θ_\ell}(q^2)$, $b_{θ_\ell}(q^2)$ and $c_{θ_\ell}(q^2)$ are given. The differential decay widths for $D_s^+ \to π^0\ell^+ ν_\ell$ with respect to $q^2$ and $\cosθ_\ell$ are presented, and also lead to the branching fractions ${\cal B}(D_s^+\to π^0e^+ν_e) =2.60_{-0.51}^{+0.57}\times 10^{-5}$ and ${\cal B}(D_s^+\to π^0μ^+ν_μ)= 2.58_{-0.51}^{+0.56}\times 10^{-5}$. These results show well agreement with the recent BESIII measurements and theoretical predictions. Then the differential distributions and integrated predictions for three angular observables, {\it i.e.} forward-backward asymmetries, $q^2$-differential flat terms and lepton polarization asymmetries are given separately. Lastly, we estimate the ratio for different decay channels ${\cal R}_{π^0/η}^{\ell}=1.108_{-0.071}^{+0.039}\times 10^{-3}$.

Usually, the $D$-meson twist-2, 3 distribution amplitudes (DAs) $φ_{2;D}(x,μ)$, $φ_{3;D}^p(x,μ)$ and $φ_{3;D}^σ(x,μ)$ are the main error sources when using perturbative QCD factorization and light-cone QCD sum rules to study $B\to D\ell\barν_{\ell}$. Therefore, it is important to get more reasonable and accurate behaviors for those DAs. Motivated by our previous work [Phys. Rev. New sum rules formulae for the $ξ$-moments of these three DAs are suggested to obtain more accurate values. Based on the scenario that the $K_0^\ast(1430)$ is viewed as the ground state of $s\bar{q}$ or $q\bar{s}$, we study the $K_0^\ast(1430)$ leading-twist distribution amplitude (DA) $φ_{2;K_0^\ast}(x,μ)$ with the QCD sum rules in the framework of background field theory. A more reasonable sum rule formula for $ξ$-moments $\langleξ^n\rangle_{2;K_0^\ast}$ is suggested, which eliminates the influence brought by the fact that the sum rule of $\langleξ^0_p\rangle_{3;K_0^\ast}$ cannot be normalized in whole Borel region. More accurate values of the first ten $ξ$-moments, $\langleξ^n\rangle_{2;K_0^\ast} (n = 1,2,\cdots,10)$, are evaluated. A new light-cone harmonic oscillator (LCHO) model for $K_0^\ast(1430)$ leading-twist DA is established for the first times. By fitting the resulted values of $\langleξ^n\rangle_{2;K_0^\ast} (n = 1,2,\cdots,10)$ via the least squares method, the behavior of $K_0^\ast(1430)$ leading-twist DA described with LCHO model is determined. Further, by adopting the light-cone QCD sum rules, we calculate the $B_s,D_s \to K_0^\ast(1430)$ transition form factors and branching fractions of the semileptonic decays $B_s,D_s \to K_0^\ast(1430) \ell ν_\ell$. The corresponding numerical results can be used to extract the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements by combining the relative experimental data in the future.

An improved light-cone harmonic oscillator model for $a_0(980)$-meson twist-2 light-cone distribution amplitudes is adopted, where its parameters are fixed by using the least squares method based on the $\langleξ_{2;a_0}^n\rangle|_{μ_0}$, and their goodness of fit reach to $95.4\%$. Then, we calculate the $D\to a_0(980)$ transition form factors within the light-cone sum rules approach, and at largest recoil point, we obtain $f_+^{D\to a_0}(0) = 1.058^{+0.068}_{-0.035}$ and $f_-^{D\to a_0}(0) = 0.764^{+0.044}_{-0.036}$. As a further application, the branching fractions of the $D\to a_0(980)\ell\barν_\ell$ semileptonic decays are given. Taking the decay $a_0(980)\to ηπ$ into consideration, we obtain ${\cal B}(D^0 \to a_0(980)^- (\to ηπ^-) e^+ν_e) =(1.330^{+0.216}_{-0.134})\times10^{-4}$, ${\cal B}(D^+\to a_0(980)^0(\to ηπ^0)e^+ν_e)=(1.675^{+0.272}_{-0.169})\times10^{-4}$, which are consistent with the BESIII collaboration and PDG data within errors. Finally, we present the angle observables of forward-backward asymmetries, $q^2$-differential flat terms and lepton polarization asymmetry of the semileptonic decay $D\to a_0(980)\ell\barν_\ell$.

For the production of $J/ψ+J/ψ$ in $Z$-boson decay, the interference terms show a significantly phenomenological effect due to the addition of the newly calculated NLO QCD corrections. After adding together all contributions, the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}_{Z\to J/ψJ/ψ}$ still undershoots the CMS collaboration data obviously. In addition, we simultaneously complete the next-to-leading-order calculations for $Z\to J/ψ+η_c (χ_{cJ})$ with $J=(0,1,2)$. The calculated results show that the newly-calculated complete QED and cross terms will have obvious effective on the total decay widths.

So far, the behavior of the pionic leading-twist distribution amplitude (DA) $φ_{2;π}(x,μ)$ $-$ which is universal physical quantity and enters the high-energy processes involving pion based on the factorization theorem $-$ has not been completely consistent. The form of $φ_{2;π}(x,μ)$ is usually described by phenomenological models and constrained by the experimental data of the exclusive processes containing pion or the moments calculated with the QCD sum rules and lattice QCD theory. Obviously, an appropriate model is very important for us to determine the exact behavior of $φ_{2;π}(x,μ)$. In this paper, by adopting the least squares method to fit the $ξ$-moments calculated with QCD sum rules based on the background field theory, we perform an analysis for several commonly used models of the pionic leading-twist DA in the literature, such as the truncation form of the Gegenbauer polynomial series, the light-cone harmonic oscillator model, the form from the Dyson-Schwinger equations, the model from the light-front holographic AdS/QCD and a simple power-law parametrization form.

We present a new determination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{\rm cb}|$ by using the three-loop perturbative QCD corrections for the $B\to D^{\ast}$ semi-leptonic decay. The decay width of $B\to D^{\ast}$ semi-leptonic decay can be factorized as perturbatively calculable short-distance part and the non-perturbative but universal long-distance part. We adopt the principle of maximum conformality (PMC) single-scale setting approach to deal with the perturbative series so as to achieve a precise fixed-order prediction for the short-distance parameter $η_{A}$. By applying the PMC, an overall effective $α_s$ value is achieved by recursively using the renormalization group equation, which inversely results in a precise scale-invariant pQCD series. Such scale-invariant series also provides a reliable basis for predicting the contributions from uncalculated perturbative terms. We then obtain $η_{A}=0.9225^{+0.0117}_{-0.0168}$, where the error is the squared average of those from $Δα_{s}(M_Z)=\pm0.0010$ and the uncertainties caused by the uncalculated higher-order perturbative terms. By using the data of $B\to D^{\ast}\ell\barν_{\ell}$, we finally obtain $|V_{\rm cb}|_{\rm PMC} =(40.60^{+0.53}_{-0.57})\times10^{-3}$, which is consistent with the PDG value within errors.

In this paper, we calculate the ratio of Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements, $|V_{ub}|/|V_{cb}|$, based on the semileptonic decay $B_s^0\to K^-μ^+ν_μ$. Its key component, the $B_s\to K$ transition form factor $f^{B_s\to K}_+(q^2)$, is studied within the QCD light-cone sum rules approach by using a chiral correlator. The derived $f^{B_s\to K}_+(q^2)$ is dominated by the leading-twist part, and to improve its precision, we construct a new model for the kaon leading-twist distribution amplitude $φ_{2;K}(x,μ)$, whose parameters are fixed by using the least squares method with the help of the moments calculated by using the QCD sum rules within the background field theory. The first four moments at the initial scale $μ_0 = 1~{\rm GeV}$ are, $\langle ξ^1\rangle _{2;K} = -0.0438^{+0.0053}_{-0.0075}$, $\langle ξ^2\rangle _{2;K} = 0.262 \pm 0.010$, $\langle ξ^3\rangle _{2;K} = -0.0210^{+0.0024}_{-0.0035}$ and $\langle ξ^4\rangle _{2;K} = 0.132 \pm 0.006$, respectively. And their corresponding Gegenbauer moments are, $a^{2;K}_1 = -0.0731^{+0.0089}_{-0.0124}$, $a^{2;K}_2 = 0.182^{+0.029}_{-0.030}$, $a^{2;K}_3 = -0.0114^{+0.0008}_{-0.0016}$ and $a^{2;K}_4 = 0.041^{-0.003}_{+0.005}$, respectively. At the large recoil region, we obtain $f^{B_s\to K} _+ (0) = 0.270^{+0.022}_{-0.030}$. By extrapolating $f^{B_s\to K}_+(q^2)$ to all the physical allowable region, we obtain a $|V_{ub}|$-independent decay width for the semileptonic decay $B_s^0\to K^-μ^+ν_μ$, $5.626^{+1.271}_{-0.864} \times 10^{-12}\ {\rm GeV}$, which then leads to $|V_{ub}|/|V_{cb}| = 0.072\pm0.005$.

This is necessary, since the $B^{*}_{s0}$ and $B_{s1}$ masses used in Eur. Phys. J. A 50 (2014) 149 were too small, in conflict with the heavy quark flavour symmetry. Furthermore, not all isospin breaking contributions were considered. We here present a method to restore heavy quark flavour symmetry, correcting the masses of $B^{*}_{s0}$ and $B_{s1}$, and include the complete isospin breaking contributions up to next-to-leading order. With this we provide updated hadronic decay widths for all of $D^{*}_{s0}$, $D_{s1}$, $B^{*}_{s0}$ and $B_{s1}$. Results for the partial widths of the radiative deays of $D_{s0}^*(2317)$ and $D_{s1}(2460)$ are also renewed in light of the much more precisely measured $D^{*+}$ width. We find that $B_sπ^0$ and $B_sγ$ are the preferred channels for searching for $B_{s0}^*$ and $B_{s1}$, respectively.

The branching fractions can be derived by using the CKM matrix element and the $B_c$ lifetime from the Particle Data Group, and we obtain ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/ψπ^+)=(0.136^{+0.002}_{-0.002})\%$, ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/ψK^+)=(0.010^{+0.000}_{-0.000})\%$, ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/ψρ^+) =(0.768^{+0.029}_{-0.033})\%$, ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/ψK^{\ast +})=(0.043^{+0.001}_{-0.001})\%$, ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/ψμ^+ν_μ)=(2.802^{+0.526}_{-0.675})\%$ and ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/ψτ^+ν_τ)=(0.559^{+0.131}_{-0.170})\%$. We then obtain ${\cal R}_{π^+/μ^+ν_μ} = 0.048^{+ 0.009}_{-0.012}$ and ${\cal R}_{K^+ / π^+} = 0.075^{+0.005}_{-0.005}$, which agree with the LHCb measured value within $1σ$-error. We also obtain ${\cal R}_{J/ψ}=0.199^{+ 0.060}_{-0.077}$, which like other theoretical predictions, is consistent with the LHCb measured value within $2σ$-error. Those imply that the HFFs under the LCSR approach are also applicable to the $B^+_c$ meson two-body decays and semi-leptonic decays $B_c^+ \to J/ψ+(P, V, \ell^+ ν_\ell)$, and the HFFs obtained by using LCSR in a new way implies that there may be new physics in the $B_c\to J/ψ\ell^+ ν_\ell$ semi-leptonic decays.

After extrapolating the transition form factor to the physically allowable $q^2$-region, we calculate the branching ratio and the CKM matrix element, which give $\mathcal{B}(\bar B_s^0 \to D_s^+ \ellν_\ell) = (2.03^{+0.35}_{-0.49}) \times 10^{-2}$ and $|V_{cb}|=(40.00_{-4.08}^{+4.93})\times 10^{-3}$.

In this paper, we make a detailed discussion on the $η$ and $η'$-meson leading-twist light-cone distribution amplitude $φ_{2;η^{(\prime)}}(u,μ)$ by using QCD sum rules approach under the background field theory. Taking both the non-perturbative condensates up to dimension-six and NLO QCD corrections to the perturbative part, its first three moments $\langleξ^n_{2;η^{(\prime)}}\rangle|_{μ_0} $ with $n = (2,4,6)$ at initial scale $μ_0 = 1$ GeV can be determined. e.g. $\langleξ_{2;η}^2\rangle|_{μ_0} =0.231_{-0.013}^{+0.010}$, $\langleξ_{2;η}^4 \rangle|_{μ_0} =0.109_{-0.007}^{+0.007}$, and $\langleξ_{2;η}^6 \rangle|_{μ_0} =0.066_{-0.006}^{+0.006}$ for $η$-meson, $\langleξ_{2;η'}^2\rangle|_{μ_0} =0.211_{-0.017}^{+0.015}$, $\langleξ_{2;η'}^4 \rangle|_{μ_0} =0.093_{-0.009}^{+0.009}$, and $\langleξ_{2;η'}^6 \rangle|_{μ_0} =0.054_{-0.008}^{+0.008}$ for $η'$-meson. Next, we calculate $D_s\toη^{(\prime)}$ TFFs $f^{η^{(\prime)}}_+(q^2)$ within QCD light-cone sum rules approach up to NLO level. The values at large recoil region are $f^η_+(0) = 0.476_{-0.036}^{+0.040}$ and $f^{η'}_+(0) = 0.544_{-0.042}^{+0.046}$. After extrapolating TFFs to the allowable physical regions within the series expansion, we obtain the branching fractions of the semi-leptonic decay, i.e. $D_s^+\toη^{(\prime)}\ell^+ ν_\ell$, i.e. ${\cal B}(D_s^+\toη^{(\prime)} e^+ν_e)=2.346_{-0.331}^{+0.418}(0.792_{-0.118}^{+0.141})\times10^{-2}$ and ${\cal B}(D_s^+\toη^{(\prime)} μ^+ν_μ)=2.320_{-0.327}^{+0.413}(0.773_{-0.115}^{+0.138})\times10^{-2}$ for $\ell = (e, μ)$ channels respectively. And in addition to that, the mixing angle for $η-η'$ with $\varphi$ and ratio for the different decay channels ${\cal R}_{η'/η}^\ell$ are given, which show good agreement with the recent BESIII measurements.

In this paper, we study the pion leading-twist distribution amplitude $φ_{2;π}(x,μ)$ by improving the traditional light-cone harmonic oscillator model within the reconstruction of the function $\varphi_{2;π}(x)$. In order to constraining the model parameters, we calculate its moments $\langleξ^n\rangle_{2;π}|_μ$ in the framework of QCD background field theory sum rule (BFTSR) up to $10^{\rm th}$ order. Considering the fact that the sum rule of the $0^{\rm th}$ moment $\langleξ^0\rangle_{2;π}|_μ$ cannot be normalized, we suggest a more reasonable sum rule formula for $\langleξ^n\rangle_{2;π}|_μ$. Then, we obtain the values of $\langleξ^n\rangle_{2;π}|_{μ_0}$ with $n=(2,4,6,8,10)$ at the initial scale $μ_0 = 1~{\rm GeV}$. The first two moments are: $\langle ξ^2\rangle_{2;π}|_{μ_0} = 0.271 \pm 0.013$, $\langleξ^4\rangle_{2;π}|_{μ_0} = 0.138 \pm 0.010$; and the corresponding Gegenbauer moments are $a^{2;π}_2(μ_0) = 0.206 \pm 0.038$, $a^{2;π}_4(μ_0) = 0.047 \pm 0.011$, respectively. After fitting the moments $\langleξ^n\rangle_{2;π}|_μ$, we obtained the appropriate model parameters by using the least square method. The resultant behavior for twist-2 pion DA is more closely to the AdS/QCD and lattice result, but is narrower than that by Dyson-Schwinger equation. Furthermore, we calculate the pion-photon transition form factors (TFF) and $B\toπ$ TFF within light-cone sum rule approach, which are conform with experimental and theoretical results.

The key component of the process is the form factor $F_{\rm VP}(q^2)$, which has been calculated within the QCD light-cone sum rules (LCSR). To improve the accuracy of the derived LCSR, we keep the $J/ψ$ light-cone distribution amplitude up to twist-4 accuracy. Total cross sections for $e^+e^-\to J/ψ+η_c$ at three typical factorization scales are $σ|_{μ_s} = 22.53^{+3.46}_{-3.49}~{\rm fb}$, $σ|_{μ_k} = 21.98^{+3.35}_{-3.38}~{\rm fb}$ and $σ|_{μ_0} = 21.74^{+3.29}_{-3.33}~{\rm fb}$, respectively. The factorization scale dependence is small, and those predictions are consistent with the BABAR and Belle measurements within errors.

The improved Bethe-Salpeter method is applied to calculate the hadronic transition matrix element. Our results show that some decay modes have large branching ratios, which is of the order of $10^{-3}$. The CP violation effect in $B_c \rightarrow η_c(1S)+D(2S)$, $B_c \rightarrow η_c(1S)+D_0^{*}(2P)$, and $B_c \rightarrow J/ψ+D^{*}(2S)$ are most likely to be found. If the detection precision of the CP asymmetry in such channels can reach the $3σ$ level, at least $10^7$ $B_c$ events are needed.

After extrapolating the LCSR predictions of HFFs to the whole physical $q^2$-region, we get the longitudinal, transverse and total $|V_{cq}|$-independent decay widths of semileptonic decay $D\to V\ell^+ν_\ell$. Meanwhile, the branching fractions of these decays are also obtained by using the $D^0(D^+)$-meson lifetime, which agree well with the BES-III results within errors. As a further step, we also investigate the differential and mean predictions for charged lepton (vector meson) polarization in the final state $P_{\rm L,T}^\ell$ ($F_{\rm L,T}^\ell$), the forward-backward asymmetry ${\cal A}_{\rm FB}^\ell$, and the lepton-side convexity parameters ${\cal C}_{\rm F}^\ell$. Our predictions are consistent with Covariant Confining Quark Model results within the errors. Thus, we think the LCSR approach for HFFs is applicable for dealing with the $D$-meson semileptonic decays.

After considering the $D^{+}/D^{0}$-meson lifetime, we give the branching fractions of $D\to P\ellν_\ell$ with $\ell = e, μ$, our predictions also agree with BES-III collaboration within errors, especially for $D\to π\ellν_\ell$ decay process. In the paper, we adopt two different correlators to derive the light-cone sum rules of the $B \to π$ transition form factors (TFFs) within the framework of HQEFT. We label those two LCSR results as LCSR-${\cal U}$ and LCSR-${\cal R}$, which are for conventional correlator and right-handed correlator, respectively. We observe that the correlation parameter $|ρ_{\rm RU}|$ for the branching ratio ${\cal B}(B \to πl ν_{l})$ is $\sim 0.85$, implying the consistency of the LCSRs under different correlators. Moreover, we obtain $|V_{\rm ub}|_{{\rm LCSR}-{\cal U}}=(3.45^{+0.28}_{-0.20}\pm{0.13}_{\rm{exp}})\times10^{-3}$ and $|V_{\rm ub}|_{{\rm LCSR}-{\cal R}} =(3.38^{+0.22}_{-0.16} \pm{0.12}_{\rm{exp}})\times10^{-3}$. We then obtain $\mathcal{R}_π|_{{\rm LCSR}-{\cal U}}=0.68^{+0.10}_{-0.09}$ and $\mathcal{R}_π|_{{\rm LCSR}-{\cal R}}=0.65^{+0.13}_{-0.11}$, both of them agree with the Lattice QCD predictions. Thus the HQEFT provides a useful framework for studying the $B$ meson decays. Moreover, by using right-handed correlator, the twist-2 terms shall dominant the TFF $f^+(q^2)$, which approaches over $\sim97\%$ contribution in the whole $q^2$-region; and the large twist-3 uncertainty for the conventional correlator is greatly suppressed. One can thus adopt the LCSR-${\cal R}$ prediction to test the properties of the various models for the pion twist-2 distribution amplitudes.

We study the $B \to ρ$ helicity form factors (HFFs) by applying the light-cone sum rules up to twist-4 accuracy. The HFF has some advantages in comparison to the conventionally calculated transition form factors, such as the HFF parameterization can be achieved via diagonalizable unitarity relations and etc. At the large recoil point, only the $ρ$-meson longitudinal component contributes to the HFFs, and we have $\mathcal{H}_{ρ,0}(0)=0.435^{+0.055}_{-0.045}$ and $\mathcal{H}_{ρ,\{1,2\}}(0)\equiv 0$. We extrapolate the HFFs to physically allowable $q^2$-region and apply them to the $B \to ρ$ semileptonic decay. We observe that the $ρ$-meson longitudinal component dominates its differential decay width in low $q^2$-region, and its transverse component dominates the high $q^2$-region. Two ratios $R_{\rm low}$ and $R_{\rm high}$ are used to characterize those properties, and our LCSR calculation gives, $R_{\rm low}=0.967^{+0.305}_{-0.284}$ and $R_{\rm high}=0.219^{+0.058}_{-0.070}$, which agree with the BaBar measurements within errors.

In the paper, we show that this discrepancy can be eliminated by applying the QCD light-cone sum rules (LCSR) approach to calculate the $D\to ρ$ transition form factors $A_{1,2}(q^2)$ and $V(q^2)$. After extrapolating the LCSR predictions of these TFFs to whole $q^2$-region, we obtain $1/|V_{\rm cd}|^2 \times Γ(D \to ρe ν_e) =(55.45^{+13.34}_{-9.41})\times 10^{-15}~{\rm GeV}$. Using the CKM matrix element and the $D^0(D^+)$ lifetime from the Particle Data Group, we obtain ${\cal B} (D^0\to ρ^- e^+ ν_e) = (1.749^{+0.421}_{-0.297}\pm 0.006)\times 10^{-3}$ and ${\cal B} (D^+ \to ρ^0 e^+ ν_e) = (2.217^{+0.534}_{-0.376}\pm 0.015)\times 10^{-3}$, which agree with the CLEO measurements within errors. We also calculate the branching ratios of the two $D$ meson radiative processes and obtain ${\cal B}(D^0\to ρ^0 γ)= (1.744^{+0.598}_{-0.704})\times 10^{-5}$ and ${\cal B}(D^+ \to ρ^+ γ) = (5.034^{+0.939}_{-0.958})\times 10^{-5}$, which also agree with the Belle measurements within errors. Thus we think the LCSR approach is applicable for dealing with the $D$ meson decays.

More accurate $D$-meson distribution amplitudes (DAs) are essential to get a more accurate theoretical prediction. We construct a new model for the twist-3 DAs $φ^p_{3;D}$ and $φ^σ_{3;D}$ based on the QCD sum rules under the background field theory for their moments as we have done for constructing the leading-twist DA $φ_{2;D}$. As an application, we observe that the twist-3 contributions are sizable in whole $q^2$-region. Taking the twist-2 and twist-3 DAs into consideration, we obtain $f^{B\to D}_{+,0}(0) = 0.659^{+0.029}_{-0.032}$. As a combination of the Lattice QCD and the QCD LCSR predictions on the TFFs $f^{B\to D}_{+,0}(q^2)$, we predict $\mathcal{R}(D) = 0.320^{+0.018}_{-0.021}$, which improves is about $1.5σ$ deviation from the HFAG average of the Belle and BABAR data. At present the data are still of large errors, and we need further accurate measurements of the experiment to confirm whether there is signal of new physics from the ratio $\mathcal{R}(D)$.

By kee** all the non-perturbative condensates up to dimension-six, we obtain accurate QCD sum rules for the moments $\langleξ_{n;J/ψ}^\|\rangle$. The first three ones are $\langleξ_{2;J/ψ}^\|\rangle=0.083(12)$, $\langleξ_{4;J/ψ}^\|\rangle=0.015(5)$ and $\langleξ_{6;J/ψ}^\|\rangle=0.003(2)$, leading to a single peaked behavior for $φ_{2;J/ψ}^\|$ which is sharper than the previous ones around the region of $x\sim0.5$. As an application, we adopt the QCD light-cone sum rules to calculate the $B_c$ meson semileptonic decay $B_c^+ \to J/ψ\ell^+ ν_\ell$. We obtain $Γ(B_c^+ \to J/ψ\ell^+ ν_\ell) = (89.67^{+24.76}_{-19.06}) \times 10^{-15}~{\rm GeV}$ and $\Re(J/ψ\ell^+ ν_\ell) = 0.217^{+0.069}_{-0.057}$, which agree with the next-to-leading order pQCD prediction and the new CDF measurement within errors.

In this paper, we compute the forward-backward asymmetry and the isospin asymmetry of the $B \to K^* μ^+ μ^-$ decay. The $B \to K^*$ transition form factors (TFFs) are key components of the decay. To achieve a more accurate QCD prediction, we adopt a chiral correlator for calculating the QCD light-cone sum rules for those TFFs with the purpose of suppressing the uncertain high-twist distribution amplitudes. Our predictions show that the asymmetries under the Standard Model and the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with minimal flavor violation are close in shape for $q^2 \ge 6~{\rm GeV}^2$ and are consistent with the Belle, LHCb and CDF data within errors. When $q^2 < 2~{\rm GeV}^2$, their predictions behave quite differently. Thus a careful study on the $B \to K^* μ^+ μ^-$ decay within small $q^2$-region could be helpful for searching new physics beyond the Standard Model. As a further application, we also apply the $B \to K^*$ TFFs to the branching ratio and longitudinal polarization fraction of the $B\to K^*ν\barν$ decay within different models.

The $B\to D$ transition form factor (TFF) $f^{B\to D}_+(q^2)$ is determined mainly by the $D$-meson leading-twist distribution amplitude (DA) , $φ_{2;D}$, if the proper chiral current correlation function is adopted within the light-cone QCD sum rules. It is therefore significant to make a comprehensive study of DA $φ_{2;D}$ and its impact on $f^{B\to D}_+(q^2)$. In this paper, we calculate the moments of $φ_{2;D}$ with the QCD sum rules under the framework of the background field theory. New sum rules for the leading-twist DA moments $\left<ξ^n\right>_D$ up to fourth order and up to dimension-six condensates are presented. At the scale $μ= 2 \rm GeV$, the values of the first four moments are: $\left<ξ^1\right>_D = -0.418^{+0.021}_{-0.022}$, $\left<ξ^2\right>_D = 0.289^{+0.023}_{-0.022}$, $\left<ξ^3\right>_D = -0.178 \pm 0.010$ and $\left<ξ^4\right>_D = 0.142^{+0.013}_{-0.012}$. Basing on the values of $\left<ξ^n\right>_D(n=1,2,3,4)$, a better model of $φ_{2;D}$ is constructed. Applying this model for the TFF $f^{B\to D}_+(q^2)$ under the light cone sum rules, we obtain $f^{B\to D}_+(0) = 0.673^{+0.038}_{-0.041}$ and $f^{B\to D}_+(q^2_{\rm max}) = 1.124^{+0.053}_{-0.058}$. The uncertainty of $f^{B\to D}_+(q^2)$ from $φ_{2;D}$ is estimated and we find its impact should be taken into account, especially in low and central energy region. The branching ratio $\mathcal{B}(B\to Dl\barν_l)$ is calculated, which is consistent with experimental data.

Within the framework of the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD), we make a systematical study of the yields and polarizations of $J/ψ$ and $Υ$ via $γγ\to J/ψ(Υ)+γ+X$ in photon-photon collisions at the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC), up to $\mathcal O(α^{3}α_s)$. We find that this process at CEPC is quite "clean", namely the direct photoproduction absolutely dominate over the single- and double- resolved processes, at least 2 orders of magnitude larger. It is found that the next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD corrections will significantly reduce the results due to that the virtual corrections to $^3S_1^1$ is large and negative. For $J/ψ$, as $p_t$ increases, the color octet (CO) processes will provide increasingly important contributions to the total NLO results. Moreover the inclusion of CO contributions will dramatically change the polarizations of $J/ψ$ from toally transverse to longitudinal, which can be regarded as a distinct signal for the CO mechanism. However, for the case of $Υ$, the effects of the CO processes are negligible, both for yields and polarizations. For $J/ψ$, the dependence of the yields on the value of the renormalization scale $μ_r$ is moderate, while significant for the polarization. The impact of the variation of $μ_λ$ is found to be relatively slight. As for the case of $Υ$, the uncertainties of $μ_{r}$ and $μ_λ$ just bring about negligible effects. The future measurements on this semi-inclusive photoproductions of $J/ψ(Υ)+γ+X$, especially on the polarization parameters of $J/ψ$, will be a good laboratory for the study of heavy quarkonium production mechanism and helpful to clarify the problems of the $J/ψ$ polarization puzzle.

Two correlators, i.e. the usual one and the right-handed one, are adopted in the LCSR calculation. The resultant LCSRs for the $B \to K^*$ TFFs are arranged according to the twist structure of the $K^*$-meson light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs), whose twist-2, twist-3 and twist-4 terms behave quite differently by using different correlators. We observe that the twist-4 LCDAs, though generally small, shall have sizable contributions to the TFFs $A_{1/2}$, $V$ and $T_1$, thus the twist-4 terms should be kept for a sound prediction. We also observe that even though different choices of the correlator lead to different LCSRs with different twist contributions, the large correlation coefficients for most of the TFFs indicate that the LCSRs for different correlators are close to each order, not only for their values at the large recoil point $q^2=0$ but also for their ascending trends in whole $q^2$-region. Such a high degree of correlation is confirmed by their application to the branching fraction of the semi-leptonic decay $B \to K^* μ^+ μ^-$. Thus, a proper choice of correlator may inversely provide a chance for probing uncertain LCDAs, i.e. the contributions from those LCDAs can be amplified to a certain degree via a proper choice of correlator, thus amplifying the sensitivity of the TFFs, and hence their related observables, to those LCDAs.

In the large Nc limit and with an Abelian approximation, we show that the properties of the newly added mesons in our formalism are determined by the corresponding underlying fundamental homogeneous Bethe--Salpeter equation in the ladder approximation, which yields the equations of motion for the scalar, vector, and axial-vector meson fields at the level of an effective chiral Lagrangian. The masses appearing in the equations of motion of the meson fields are those determined by the corresponding Bethe--Salpeter equation.

We revisit the $ρ$-meson longitudinal leading-twist distribution amplitude (DA) $φ_{2;ρ}^\|$ by using the QCD sum rules approach within the background field theory. To improve the accuracy of the sum rules for its moments $\langleξ_{n;ρ}^\|\rangle$, we include the next-to-leading order QCD correction to the perturbative part and keep all non-perturbative condensates up to dimension-six consistently within the background field theory. The first two moments read $\langle ξ_{2;ρ}^\| \rangle|_{1{\rm GeV}} = 0.241(28)$ and $\langle ξ_{4;ρ}^\| \rangle|_{1{\rm GeV}} = 0.109(10)$, indicating a double humped behavior for $φ_{2;ρ}^\|$ at small energy scale. As an application, we apply them to the $B\to ρ$ transition form factors within the QCD light-cone sum rules, which are key components for the decay width $Γ(B\to ρ\ell ν_\ell)$. To compare with the world-average of $Γ(B\to ρ\ell ν_\ell)$ issued by Particle Data Group, we predict $|V_{\rm ub}| = 3.19^{+0.65}_{-0.62}$, which agrees with the BABAR and Omnès parameterization prediction within errors.

New sum rules for the twist-3 DA moments $\left<ξ^n_P\right>_{\rm HP}$ and $\left<ξ^n_σ\right>_{\rm HP}$ up to sixth orders and up to dimension-six condensates are deduced under the framework of the background field theory. Based on the sum rules for the twist-3 DA moments, we construct a new model for the two twist-3 DAs of the heavy pseudo-scalar with the help of the Brodsky-Huang-Lepage prescription. Furthermore, we apply them to the $B_c\toη_c$ transition form factor ($f^{B_c\toη_c}_+(q^2)$) within the light-cone sum rules approach, and the results are comparable with other approaches. It has been found that the twist-3 DAs $φ^P_{3;η_c}$ and $φ^σ_{3;η_c}$ are important for a reliable prediction of $f^{B_c\toη_c}_+(q^2)$. For example, at the maximum recoil region, we have $f^{B_c\toη_c}_+(0) = 0.674 \pm 0.066$, in which those two twist-3 terms provide $\sim33\%$ and $\sim22\%$ contributions. Also we calculate the branching ratio of the semi-leptonic decay $B_c \toη_c lν$ as $Br(B_c \toη_c lν) = \left( 9.31^{+2.27}_{-2.01} \right) \times 10^{-3}$.

We calculate the annihilation decay rates of the $^3D_2(2^{--})$ and $^3D_3(3^{--})$ charmonia and bottomonia by using the instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter method. The wave functions of states with quantum numbers $J^{PC}=2^{--}$ and $3^{--}$ are constructed. By solving the corresponding instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter equations, we obtain the mass spectra and wave functions of the quarkonia. The annihilation amplitude is written within Mandelstam formalism and the relativistic corrections are taken into account properly. This is important, especially for high excited states, since their relativistic corrections are large. The results for the $3g$ channel are as follows: $Γ_{^3D_2(c\bar c)\rightarrow ggg} = 9.24$ keV, $Γ_{^3D_3(c\bar c)\rightarrow ggg}=25.0$ keV, $Γ_{^3D_2(b\bar b)\rightarrow ggg}= 1.87$ keV, and $Γ_{^3D_3(b\bar b)\rightarrow ggg}= 0.815$ keV.

The quark propagator is studied under a truncation scheme beyond the rainbow approximation by dressing the quark-gluon vertex non-perturbatively. It is found that, in the chiral limit with dynamical symmetry breaking, the dynamical quark mass and the quark condensate are significantly enhanced due to the non-Abelian contribution arising from the three-gluon interaction compared to those under the rainbow approximation; and the critical strength of the dynamical chiral symmetry breaking is much lowered. The Abelian contribution is much smaller than the non-Abelian contribution. A technical issue on removing the ultraviolet divergences including the overlap** divergences is discussed.

We present a detailed calculation on the $B\to K^*$ transition form factors (TFFs), $A_{0,1,2}$, $V$ and $T_{1,2,3}$, within the QCD light-cone sum rules (LCSR). To suppress the contributions from high-twist light-cone distribution amplitudes, we adopt a right-handed chiral correlator to do the LCSR calculation. In the resultant LCSRs for the TFFs, the transverse leading-twist distribution amplitude $φ_{2;K^*}^\bot$ provides over $90\%$ contribution, thus those TFFs provide good platforms for testing the property of $φ_{2;K^*}^\bot$. We suggest a model for $φ_{2;K^*}^\bot$, in which two parameters $B_{2;K^*}^\bot$ and $C_{2;K^*}^\bot$ dominantly control its longitudinal distribution. With a proper choice of $B_{2;K^*}^\bot$ and $C_{2;K^*}^\bot$, our predictions on $B\to K^*$ TFFs are consistent with those of lattice QCD predictions. As an application, we also calculate the branching fraction of the $B$-meson rare decay $B \to K^* μ^+ μ^-$. The predicted differential branching fraction $d{\cal B}/dq^2(B\to K^{*}μ^+μ^-)$ is consistent with the LHCb and Belle measurements within errors. After integrating over the allowable $q^2$-region, we get the branching fraction, ${\cal B}(B\to K^*μ^+μ^-) = \left(1.088^{+0.261}_{-0.205} \right)\times 10^{-6}$, where the errors are squared average of the mentioned error sources. When the precision of experimental measurements or the other source of theoretical uncertainties for this process have been further improved in the future, we may get a definite conclusion on the behavior of $φ_{2;K^*}^\bot$.
