An Exotic Path to Glue states Decay
Abstract: Glueballs are the most obvious, but this far not fully tested prediction of Quantum Chromodynamics. The lowest expected glueball states, in particular $0^{++}$ states are difficult to characterize, since they share the quantum numbers of the "vacuum" and of a number of possible quark-antiquark states. In this paper, we argue that the more easily identifiable exotics provide us with strong hints on… ▽ More

Anomalies, $η$ , $η$' as keys to glueballs
Abstract: Glueballs are the most straightforward prediction of QCD, yet while they have likely been produced, none has been unequivocally identified. We pursue a backdoor approach through anomalies, and singularly the $η$ and $η$' which brings light to this irritating situation. In particular, we advocate to consider the full decay chain $J/ψ\rightarrow X γ, X \rightarrow ηη'$ (into glue-rich states followe… ▽ More

Implications of GW related searches for IceCube
Abstract: At the beginning of 2016, LIGO reported the first-ever direct detection of gravitational waves. Abstract: The recent LIGO observation of gravitational waves from a binary black hole merger triggered several follow-up searches from both electromagnetic wave as well as neutrino observatories. Abstract: We study the mixing of the scalar glueball into the isosinglet mesons $f_0 (1370)$, $f_0(1500)$, and $f_0(1710)$ to describe the two-body decays to pseudoscalars. We use an effective Hamiltonian and employ the two-angle mixing scheme for $η$ and $η'$. In this framework, we analyse existing data and look forward to new data into $η$ and $η'$ channels. Triangle Inequalities for Majorana-Neutrino Magnetic Moments
Abstract: Electromagnetic properties of neutrinos, if ever observed, could help to decide the Dirac versus Majorana nature of neutrinos. We show that the magnetic moments of Majorana neutrinos have to fulfill triangle inequalities, $|μ_{ν_τ}|^2 \leq |μ_{ν_μ}|^2 +|μ_{ν_e}|^2$ and cyclic permutations, which do not hold for Dirac neutrinos. Exploring variations in the gauge sector of a six-dimensional flavour model
Abstract: We address the question, how general is the gauge sector in extra-dimensional models which explain hierarchies of masses and mixings of quarks, charged leptons and neutrinos in terms of a single family of multidimensional fermions. We give qualitative arguments that though there are a plethora of possible variations, they do not result in drastical changes of phenomenology.

Fermion Masses from Six Dimensions and Implications for Majorana Neutrinos
Abstract: In these notes, we review the main results of our approach to fermion masses. The marge mass ratios between fermions, confronted with a unique breaking mechanism leading to vector bosons masses, led us to consider the possibility that they result from the overlap of fermion wave functions. Such overlaps vary indeed very strongly if the observed fermion families in 4 dimensions originate in a singl… ▽ More

CP violation from pure gauge in extra dimensions

Is the Lorentz limiting speed equal to the Speed of Light? Photons vs Neutrino tests
Abstract: We discuss the possibility that the limiting speed (c_l) appearing in Lorentz equations might be different i.e., slightly larger than the observed speed of light (c_n). It would indeed suffice to show that c_n < c_neutrinos <= c_l. Quite interestingly,… ▽ More

Central pseudoscalar production in pp scattering and the gluon contribution to the proton spin
Abstract: Central pseudoscalar production in $pp$ scattering is suppressed at small values of $Q_\perp$, where $Q$ is defined as the difference between the momenta transferred from the two protons. Such a behaviour is expected if the production occurs through the fusion of two vectors. Photon exchange could provide the dominant contribution at low transferred momenta, but we argue that an extension of the… ▽ More

Neutrino Magnetic Moment Behaviour in a Renormalizable Model
Abstract: We have shown in hep-ph/9608266 that a neutrino magnetic moment form factor $μ_ν (q^2)$ could be considerably amplified at low momentum transfer,$q^2 \leq m_N^2$, at the cost of introducing an extra light neutral fermion $N$ with mass $m_N$ and nonzero magnetic moment. It was assumed that the magnetic moment of $N$ would originate in a renormalizable way at a heavy scale $M$. While the enhanceme… ▽ More

Stimulated Neutrino Conversion and Bounds on Neutrino Magnetic Moments
Abstract: Recent experiment proposed to observe induced radiative neutrino transitions are confronted to existing bounds on neutrino magnetic moments from earth-based experiments. These are found to exclude any observation by several orders of magnitude, unless the magnetic moments are assumed to be strongly momentum dependent. This possibility is discussed in some generality, and we find that nontrivial… ▽ More

Could the MSSM have no CP violation in the CKM matrix?
Abstract: We show that all CP violation in the MSSM could originate in the supersymmetry breaking sector rather than the CKM matrix, and discuss the important consequences for $B$-physics.

Zeroes for e+e- \to \bar{f} f cross section and search for new physics
Abstract: We suggest returning to a different presentation of the e+e- \to \bar{f} f data off the Z peak, with the hope of using zeroes of specific amplitudes to enhance the sensitivity to new physics.
