Abstract: There has recently been a dramatic renewal of interest in the subjects of hadron spectroscopy and charm physics. This renaissance has been driven in part by the discovery of a plethora of charmonium-like $XYZ$ states at BESIII and $B$ factories, and the observation of an intriguing proton-antiproton threshold enhancement and the possibly related $X(1835)$ meson state at BESIII, as well as the thre… ▽ More There has recently been a dramatic renewal of interest in the subjects of hadron spectroscopy and charm physics. This renaissance has been driven in part by the discovery of a plethora of charmonium-like $XYZ$ states at BESIII and $B$ factories, and the observation of an intriguing proton-antiproton threshold enhancement and the possibly related $X(1835)$ meson state at BESIII, as well as the threshold measurements of charm mesons and charm baryons. We present a detailed survey of the important topics in tau-charm physics and hadron physics that can be further explored at BESIII over the remaining lifetime of BEPCII operation. This survey will help in the optimization of the data-taking plan over the coming years, and provides physics motivation for the possible upgrade of BEPCII to higher luminosity. △ Less

Abstract: Based on the data sample of $448.1\times10^{6}$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, we present a study of the decays $ψ(3686)\rightarrowγχ_{cJ}\rightarrowγ\bar{p}K^{*+}Λ+c.c.$ and $ψ(3686)\rightarrow\bar{p}K^{*+}Λ+c.c.$. The branching fraction of $ψ(3686)\rightarrow\bar{p}K^{*+}Λ+c.c.$ is measured to be $(6.3\pm0.5\pm0.5)\times10^{-5}$. All these decay modes are observed for the first time. △ Less

Observation of $ψ(3686)\rightarrowΞ(1530)^{-}\barΞ(1530)^{+}$ and $Ξ(1530)^{-}\barΞ^{+}$

Evidence for $Z_{c}^{\pm}$ decays into the $ρ^{\pm} η_{c}$ final state

Abstract: We study $e^{+}e^{-}$ collisions with a $π^{+}π^{-}π^{0}η_{c}$ final state using data samples collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}=4.226$, $4.258$, $4.358$, $4.416$, and $4.600$ GeV. Evidence for the decay $\zcpm\to\rhopm\etac$ is reported with a statistical significance of $3.9σ$ with various systematic uncertainties taken into account at $\sqrt{s} = 4.226$ GeV,… ▽ More We study $e^{+}e^{-}$ collisions with a $π^{+}π^{-}π^{0}η_{c}$ final state using data samples collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}=4.226$, $4.258$, $4.358$, $4.416$, and $4.600$ GeV. Evidence for the decay $\zcpm\to\rhopm\etac$ is reported with a statistical significance of $3.9σ$ with various systematic uncertainties taken into account at $\sqrt{s} = 4.226$ GeV, and the Born cross section times branching fraction $σ^{B}(\EE\to \pimp\zcpm)\times \BR(\zcpm\to\rhopm\etac)$ is measured to be $(48 \pm 11 \pm 11)\,\rm{pb}$. The $\zcpm\to \rhopm\etac$ signal is not significant at the other center-of-mass energies and the corresponding upper limits are determined. In addition, no significant signal is observed in a search for $\zcppm\to ρ^{\pm}\etac$ with the same data samples. The ratios $R_{\zc}=\BR(\zcpm\to ρ^{\pm} \etac)/\BR(\zcpm\to π^{\pm} \jpsi)$ and $R_{\zcp}=\BR(\zcppm\to ρ^{\pm} \etac)/\BR(\zcppm\to π^{\pm} \hc)$ are obtained and used to discriminate between different theoretical interpretations of the $\zcpm$ and $\zcppm$. △ Less

Measurement of Branching Fractions of $ψ(3686)\rightarrowφη^\prime, φf_1(1285)$ and $φη(1405)$

The resonances $f_{1}(1285)$ and $η(1405)$ are clearly observed in the $π^{+}π^{-}η$ mass spectrum with statistical significances of $18σ$ and $9.7σ$, respectively. The corresponding product branching fractions are measured to be $\mathcal{B}(ψ(3686)\rightarrowφf_{1}(1285),f_{1}(1285)\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}η) =(1.03\pm0.10\pm0.09)\times 10^{-5}$ and $\mathcal{B}(ψ(3686)\rightarrowφη(1405),η(1405)\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}η) =(8.46\pm1.37\pm0.92)\times 10^{-6}$. △ Less

The Born cross section~($σ_{p\bar{p}}$) of $e^+e^- \rightarrow p\bar{p}$ is measured with the energy-scan technique and it is found to be consistent with previously publ… ▽ More The process of $e^+e^- \rightarrow p\bar{p}$ is studied at 22 center-of-mass energy points ($\sqrt{s}$) from 2.00 to 3.08 GeV, exploiting 688.5~pb$^{-1}$ of data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider. The Born cross section~($σ_{p\bar{p}}$) of $e^+e^- \rightarrow p\bar{p}$ is measured with the energy-scan technique and it is found to be consistent with previously published data, but with much improved accuracy. In addition, the electromagnetic form-factor ratio ($|G_{E}/G_{M}|$) and the value of the effective ($|G_{\rm{eff}}|$), electric ($|G_E|$) and magnetic ($|G_M|$) form factors are measured by studying the helicity angle of the proton at 16 center-of-mass energy points. $|G_{E}/G_{M}|$ and $|G_M|$ are determined with high accuracy, providing uncertainties comparable to data in the space-like region, and $|G_E|$ is measured for the first time. We reach unprecedented accuracy, and precision results in the time-like region provide information to improve our understanding of the proton inner structure and to test theoretical models which depend on non-perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics. △ Less

Measurements of Weak Decay Asymmetries of $Λ_c^+\to pK_S^0$, $Λπ^+$, $Σ^+π^0$, and $Σ^0π^+$

Complete measurement of $Λ$ electromagnetic form factors

Abstract: The exclusive process $e^+e^-\rightarrowΛ\barΛ$, with $Λ\to pπ^-$ and $\barΛ \to \bar{p}π^+$, has been studied at $\sqrt{s} =$ 2.396 GeV for measurement of the $Λ$ electric and magnetic form factors, $G_E$ and $G_M$. A data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 66.9 pb$^{-1}$, was collected with the BESIII detector for this purpose. A multi-dimensional analysis with a complete decom… ▽ More The exclusive process $e^+e^-\rightarrowΛ\barΛ$, with $Λ\to pπ^-$ and $\barΛ \to \bar{p}π^+$, has been studied at $\sqrt{s} =$ 2.396 GeV for measurement of the $Λ$ electric and magnetic form factors, $G_E$ and $G_M$. A data sample, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 66.9 pb$^{-1}$, was collected with the BESIII detector for this purpose. A multi-dimensional analysis with a complete decomposition of the spin structure of the reaction enables a determination of the modulus of the ratio $R=|G_E/G_M|$ and, for the first time for any baryon, the relative phase $ΔΦ=Φ_E-Φ_M$. The resulting values are obtained using the recent and most precise measured value of the asymmetry parameter $α_Λ$ = $0.750~\pm~0.010$ to be $R~=~0.96\pm0.14~(\rm stat.)\pm~0.02~(\rm sys.)$ and $ΔΦ=37^{\mathrm{o}}\pm~12^{\mathrm{o}}~(\rm stat.)\pm~6^{\mathrm{o}}~(\rm sys.)$, respectively. In addition, the cross section is measured with unprecedented precision to be $σ= 118.7~\pm~5.3~(\rm stat.)\pm~5.1~(\rm sys.)$ pb, which corresponds to an effective form factor of $|G|=0.123~\pm~0.003~(\rm stat.)\pm~0.003~(\rm sys.)$. The contribution from two-photon exchange is found to be negligible. Our result enables the first complete determination of baryon time-like electromagnetic form factors. △ Less

Abstract: Using a data sample of $4.48\times10^{8}$ $\psip$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we present a first observation of $ψ(3686)\to p\bar{p}φ$, and we measure its branching fraction to be $[6.06\pm0.38 ($stat.$) \pm 0.48 ($syst.$)]\times10^{-6}$. Precision measurement of the branching fractions of $η^\prime$ decays

Abstract: Based on a sample of $(1310.6 \pm 7.0) \times 10^6~J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we present measurements of $J/ψ$ and $η^\prime$ absolute branching fractions using the process $J/ψ\rightarrowγη^\prime$. Combining these measurements with previous BESIII measurements of $\mathcal{B}_{D^+\toη^{(\prime)} e^{+} ν_e}$, the $η-η^\prime$ mixing angle in the quark flavour basis is determined to be $φ_{\rm P} = (40.1\pm2.1_{\rm stat}\pm0.7_{\rm syst})^\circ$. From the first measurements of the dynamics of $D^+_s\to η^{(\prime)}e^+ν_e$ decays, the products of the hadronic form factors $f_+^{η^{(\prime)}}(0)$ and the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ are determined with different form factor parameterizations. For the two-parameter series expansion, the results are $f^η_+(0)|V_{cs}| = 0.4455\pm0.0053_{\rm stat}\pm0.0044_{\rm syst}$ and $f^{η^{\prime}}_+(0)|V_{cs}| = 0.477\pm0.049_{\rm stat}\pm0.011_{\rm syst}$. △ Less

Abstract: We report the observation and study of the decay $J/ψ\rightarrowφηη'$ using $1.3\times{10^9}$ $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector. Its branching fraction, including all possible intermediate states, is measured to be $(2.32\pm0.06\pm0.16)\times{10^{-4}}$. We also report evidence for a structure, denoted as $X$, in the $φη'$ mass spectrum in the $2.0-2.1$ GeV/$c^2$ region. Using two dec… ▽ More We report the observation and study of the decay $J/ψ\rightarrowφηη'$ using $1.3\times{10^9}$ $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector. Its branching fraction, including all possible intermediate states, is measured to be $(2.32\pm0.06\pm0.16)\times{10^{-4}}$. We also report evidence for a structure, denoted as $X$, in the $φη'$ mass spectrum in the $2.0-2.1$ GeV/$c^2$ region. Using two decay modes of the $η'$ meson ($γπ^+π^-$ and $ηπ^+π^-$), a simultaneous fit to the $φη'$ mass spectra is performed. Assuming the quantum numbers of the $X$ to be $J^P = 1^-$, its significance is found to be 4.4$σ$, with a mass and width of $(2002.1 \pm 27.5 \pm 21.4)$ MeV/$c^2$ and $(129 \pm 17 \pm 9)$ MeV, respectively, and a product branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\rightarrowηX)\times{}\mathcal{B}(X\rightarrowφη')=(9.8 \pm 1.2 \pm 1.7)\times10^{-5}$. Alternatively, assuming $J^P = 1^+$, the significance is 3.8$σ$, with a mass and width of $(2062.8 \pm 13.1 \pm 7.2)$ MeV/$c^2$ and $(177 \pm 36 \pm 35)$ MeV, respectively, and a product branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\rightarrowηX)\times{}\mathcal{B}(X\rightarrowφη')=(9.6 \pm 1.4 \pm 2.0)\times10^{-5}$. The angular distribution of $J/ψ\rightarrowηX$ is studied and the two $J^P$ assumptions of the $X$ cannot be clearly distinguished due to the limited statistics. Abstract: We study the decays $Λ_{c}^{+}\toΛηπ^{+}$ and $Σ(1385)^{+}η$ based on $Λ_{c}^{+}\barΛ_{c}^{-}$ pairs produced in $e^+e^-$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=4.6~\mbox{GeV}$, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $567\;\mbox{pb$^{-1}$}$. The processes of $e^+e^-\to D_s^+ \overline{D}{*}^{0} K^-$ and $D_s^+ \overline{D}{}^{0} K^-$ are observed for the first time and are found to be dominated by the modes $D_s^+ D_{s1}(2536)^-$ and $D_s^+ D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$, respectively. The Born cross sections are measured to be $σ^{B}(e^+e^-\to D_s^+ \overline{D}{*}^{0} K^-) = (10.1\pm2.3\pm0.8) pb$ and $σ^{B}(e^+e^-\to D_s^+ \overline{D}{}^{0} K^-) = (19.4\pm2.3\pm1.6) pb$, and the products of Born cross section and the decay branching fraction are measured to be $σ^{B}(e^+e^-\to D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^- + c.c.)\cdot\mathcal{B}(D_{s1}(2536)^- \to \overline{D}{*}^{0} K^-) = (7.5 \pm 1.8 \pm 0.7) pb$ and $σ^{B}(e^+e^-\to D_s^+ D^*_{s2}(2573)^- + c.c.)\cdot\mathcal{B}(D^*_{s2}(2573)^- \to \overline{D}{}^{0} K^-) = (19.7 \pm 2.9 \pm 2.0) pb$. For the $D_{s1}(2536)^-$ and $D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ mesons, the masses and widths are measured to be $M(D_{s1}(2536)^-) = (2537.7 \pm 0.5 \pm 3.1)~MeV/c^2,$ $ Γ(D_{s1}(2536)^-)) = (1.7\pm 1.2 \pm 0.6)~\rm MeV,$ and $M(D^*_{s2}(2573)^-) = (2570.7\pm 2.0 \pm 1.7)~MeV/c^2,$ $Γ(D^*_{s2}(2573)^-) = (17.2 \pm 3.6 \pm 1.1)~\rm MeV.$ The spin-parity of the $D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ meson is determined to be $J^P=2^{+}$. In addition, the process $e^+e^-\to D_s^+ \overline{D}{}^{(*)0} K^-$ are searched for using the data samples taken at four (two) center-of-mass energies between 4.416 (4.527) and 4.575 GeV, and upper limits at the $90\%$ confidence level on the cross sections are determined. △ Less

Observation of $ψ(3686) \to p \bar{p} η^{\prime}$ and improved measurement of $J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η^{\prime}$

Abstract: We observe the process $ψ(3686) \to p \bar{p} η^{\prime}$ for the first time, with a statistical significance higher than 10$σ$, and measure the branching fraction of $J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η^{\prime}$ with an improved accuracy compared to earlier studies. Abstract: We report a study of the decay $D^0 \rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-e^+ν_{e}$ based on a sample of $2.93~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The total branching fraction is determined to be $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-e^+ν_{e})=(1.434\pm0.029({\rm stat.})\pm0.032({\rm syst.}))\%$, whic… ▽ More We report a study of the decay $D^0 \rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-e^+ν_{e}$ based on a sample of $2.93~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The total branching fraction is determined to be $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow \bar{K}^0π^-e^+ν_{e})=(1.434\pm0.029({\rm stat.})\pm0.032({\rm syst.}))\%$, which is the most precise to date. According to a detailed analysis of the involved dynamics, we find this decay is dominated with the $K^{*}(892)^-$ contribution and present an improved measurement of its branching fraction to be $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow K^{*}(892)^-e^+ν_e)=(2.033\pm0.046({\rm stat.})\pm0.047({\rm syst.}))\%$. We further access their hadronic form-factor ratios for the first time as $r_{V}=V(0)/A_1(0)=1.46\pm0.07({\rm stat.})\pm0.02({\rm syst.})$ and $r_{2}=A_2(0)/A_1(0)=0.67\pm0.06({\rm stat.})\pm0.01({\rm syst.})$. In addition, we observe a significant $\bar{K}^0π^-$ $S$-wave component accounting for $(5.51\pm0.97({\rm stat.})\pm0.62({\rm syst.}))\%$ of the total decay rate. △ Less

Combining our branching fraction with the masses of the $D_s^+$ and $μ^+$ and the lifetime of the $D_s^+$, we determine $f_{D_s^+}|V_{cs}|=246.2\pm3.6_{\rm stat.}\pm3.5_{\rm syst.}~\mathrm{MeV}$. Using the $c\to s$ quark mixing matrix element $|V_{cs}|$ determined from a global standard model fit, we evaluate the $D_s^+$ decay constant $f_{D_s^+}=252.9\pm3.7_{\rm stat.}\pm3.6_{\rm syst.}$\,MeV. Alternatively, using the value of $f_{D_s^+}$ calculated by lattice quantum chromodynamics, we find $|V_{cs}| = 0.985\pm0.014_{\rm stat.}\pm0.014_{\rm syst.}$. These values of $\mathcal{B}_{D_s^+\toμ^+ν_μ}$, $f_{D_s^+}|V_{cs}|$, $f_{D_s^+}$ and $|V_{cs}|$ are each the most precise results to date. △ Less

Abstract: We study the hadronic decays of $Λ_{c}^{+}$ to the final states $Σ^{+}η$ and $Σ^+η^\prime$, using an $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation data sample of 567 pb$^{-1}$ taken at a center-of-mass energy of 4.6 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. We find evidence for the decays $Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrowΣ^{+}η$ and $Σ^+η^\prime$ with statistical significance of $2.5σ$ and $3.2σ$, respectively. Normalizing to the reference decays $Λ_c^+\toΣ^+π^0$ and $Σ^+ω$, we obtain the ratios of the branching fractions $\frac{{\mathcal B}(Λ_c^+\toΣ^+η)}{{\mathcal B}(Λ_c^+\toΣ^+π^0)}$ and $\frac{{\mathcal B}(Λ_c^+\toΣ^+η^\prime)}{{\mathcal B}(Λ_c^+\toΣ^+ω)}$ to be $0.35 \pm 0.16 \pm 0.03$ and $0.86 \pm 0.34 \pm 0.07$, respectively. The upper limits at the 90\% confidence level are set to be $\frac{{\mathcal B}(Λ_c^+\toΣ^+η)}{{\mathcal B}(Λ_c^+\toΣ^+π^0)}<0.58$ and $\frac{{\mathcal B}(Λ_c^+\toΣ^+η^\prime)}{{\mathcal B}(Λ_c^+\toΣ^+ω)}<1.2$. Using BESIII measurements of the branching fractions of the reference decays, we determine $\mathcal B({Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrowΣ^{+}η})=(0.41\pm0.19\pm0.05)\%$ ($<0.68\%$) and $\mathcal B({Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrowΣ^{+}η'})=(1.34\pm0.53\pm0.21)\%$ ($<1.9\%$). Here, the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The obtained branching fraction of $Λ_c^+\toΣ^+η$ is consistent with the previous measurement, and the branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+}\rightarrowΣ^{+}η^{\prime}$ is measured for the first time. △ Less

Abstract: Using a low-background sample of $2.6\times 10^5$ $J/ψ\rightarrowωη(ω\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}π^{0},η\rightarrowγγ)$ events, about 5 times larger statistics than previous experiments, we present a Dalitz plot analysis of the decay $ω\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}π^{0}$. It is found that the Dalitz plot distribution differs from the pure $P$-wave phase space with a statistical significance of $18.9σ$. Abstract: We report on new measurements of Cabibbo-suppressed semileptonic $D_s^+$ decays using $3.19~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data sample collected at a center-of-mass energy of 4.178~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. First observations of $h_c \to$ hadrons

Abstract: Based on $(4.48 \pm 0.03) \times 10^{8}$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector, five $h_c$ hadronic decays are searched for via process $ψ(3686) \to π^0 h_c$. Three of them, $h_c \to p \bar{p} π^+ π^-$, $π^+ π^- π^0$, and $2(π^+ π^-) π^0$ are observed for the first time, with statistical significances of 7.4$σ$, $4.9σ$, and 9.1$σ$, and branching fractions of… ▽ More Based on $(4.48 \pm 0.03) \times 10^{8}$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector, five $h_c$ hadronic decays are searched for via process $ψ(3686) \to π^0 h_c$. Abstract: Decays $χ_{cJ}~(J=0,1,2)\toωφ$ are studied using $(448.1\pm2.9)\times 10^{6} ~ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector in 2009 and 2012. In addition to the previously established $χ_{c0}\toωφ$, first observation of $χ_{c1} \to ωφ$ is reported in this paper. The measured product branching fractions are… ▽ More Decays $χ_{cJ}~(J=0,1,2)\toωφ$ are studied using $(448.1\pm2.9)\times 10^{6} ~ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector in 2009 and 2012. In addition to the previously established $χ_{c0}\toωφ$, first observation of $χ_{c1} \to ωφ$ is reported in this paper. The measured product branching fractions are ${\cal{B}}(ψ(3686)\toγχ_{c0})\times{\cal{B}}(χ_{c0}\toωφ)=(13.83\pm 0.70\pm 1.01)\times10^{-6}$ and ${\cal{B}}(ψ(3686)\toγχ_{c1})\times{\cal{B}}(χ_{c1}\toωφ)=(2.67\pm 0.31\pm 0.27)\times10^{-6}$, and the absolute branching fractions are ${\cal{B}}(χ_{c0}\toωφ)=(13.84\pm 0.70\pm 1.08)\times10^{-5}$ and ${\cal{B}}(χ_{c1}\toωφ)=(2.80\pm 0.32\pm 0.30)\times10^{-5}$. We also find a strong evidence for $χ_{c2}\toωφ$ with a statistical significance of 4.8$σ$, and the corresponding product and absolute branching fractions are measured to be ${\cal{B}}(ψ(3686)\toγχ_{c2})\times{\cal{B}}(χ_{c2}\toωφ)=(0.91\pm0.23\pm0.12)\times10^{-6} $ and ${\cal{B}}(χ_{c2}\toωφ)=(1.00\pm0.25\pm0.14)\times10^{-5}$. Abstract: Using $e^+e^-$ annihilation data of $2.93~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=3.773$ GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the absolute branching fraction of $D^{0}\to K^{-}μ^{+}ν_μ$ with significantly improved precision: ${\mathcal B}_{D^{0}\to K^{-}μ^{+}ν_μ}=(3.413\pm0.019_{\rm stat.}\pm0.035_{\rm syst.})\%$. Combining with our previous measurement of… ▽ More Using $e^+e^-$ annihilation data of $2.93~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=3.773$ GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the absolute branching fraction of $D^{0}\to K^{-}μ^{+}ν_μ$ with significantly improved precision: ${\mathcal B}_{D^{0}\to K^{-}μ^{+}ν_μ}=(3.413\pm0.019_{\rm stat.}\pm0.035_{\rm syst.})\%$. Combining with our previous measurement of ${\mathcal B}_{D^0\to K^-e^+ν_e}$, the ratio of the two branching fractions is determined to be ${\mathcal B}_{D^0\to K^-μ^+ν_μ}/{\mathcal B}_{D^0\to K^-e^+ν_e}=0.974\pm0.007_{\rm stat.}\pm0.012_{\rm syst.}$, which agrees with the theoretical expectation of lepton flavor universality within the uncertainty. A study of the ratio of the two branching fractions in different four-momentum transfer regions is also performed, and no evidence for lepton flavor universality violation is found with current statistics. Taking inputs from global fit in the standard model and lattice quantum chromodynamics separately, we determine $f_{+}^{K}(0)=0.7327\pm0.0039_{\rm stat.}\pm0.0030_{\rm syst.}$ and $|V_{cs}| = 0.955\pm0.005_{\rm stat.}\pm0.004_{\rm syst.}\pm0.024_{\rm LQCD}$. △ Less

Abstract: Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93~fb$^{-1}$ recorded by the BESIII detector at a center-of-mass energy of $3.773$ GeV, we present an analysis of the decays $\bar{D}^0\toπ^+π^0 e^-\barν_e$ and $D^+\toπ^-π^+ e^+ν_e$. By performing a partial wave analysis, the $π^+π^-$ $S$-wave contribution to $D^+\toπ^-π^+ e^+ν_e$ is observed to be $(25.7\pm1.6\pm1.1)$% with a sta… ▽ More Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93~fb$^{-1}$ recorded by the BESIII detector at a center-of-mass energy of $3.773$ GeV, we present an analysis of the decays $\bar{D}^0\toπ^+π^0 e^-\barν_e$ and $D^+\toπ^-π^+ e^+ν_e$. By performing a partial wave analysis, the $π^+π^-$ $S$-wave contribution to $D^+\toπ^-π^+ e^+ν_e$ is observed to be $(25.7\pm1.6\pm1.1)$% with a statistical significance greater than 10$σ$, besides the dominant $P$-wave contribution. We measure the branching fractions $\mathcal{B}(D^{0} \to ρ^- e^+ ν_e) = (1.445\pm 0.058 \pm 0.039) \times10^{-3}$, $\mathcal{B}(D^{+} \to ρ^0 e^+ ν_e) = (1.860\pm 0.070 \pm 0.061) \times10^{-3}$, and $\mathcal{B}(D^{+} \to f_0(500) e^+ ν_e, f_0(500)\toπ^+π^-) = (6.30\pm 0.43 \pm 0.32) \times10^{-4}$. An upper limit of $\mathcal{B}(D^{+} \to f_0(980) e^+ ν_e, f_0(980)\toπ^+π^-) < 2.8 \times10^{-5}$ is set at the 90% confidence level. We also obtain the hadronic form factor ratios of $D\to ρe^+ν_e$ at $q^{2}=0$ assuming the single-pole dominance parameterization: $r_{V}=\frac{V(0)}{A_{1}(0)}=1.695\pm0.083\pm0.051$, $r_{2}=\frac{A_{2}(0)}{A_{1}(0)}=0.845\pm0.056\pm0.039$. △ Less

Excluding the $ω$ and $φ$ mass regions, no significant signal is observed in the mass range from 0.1 to 2.1 GeV/$c^{2}$. We set upper limits at the 90\% confidence level on $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to η' γ')\times\mathcal{B}(γ' \to e^+e^-)$, $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\toη' γ'$) and the mixing strength as a function of dark photon mass. Abstract: Using a sample of $1.31\times 10^9$ $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we report the first observation of spin polarization of $Λ$ and $\barΛ$ hyperons from the coherent production in the $J/ψ\toΛ\barΛ$ decay. We measure the phase between the hadronic form factors to be $ΔΦ=(42.4\pm0.6\pm0.5)^\circ$. The decay parameters for $Λ\to pπ^-$ ($α_-$), $\barΛ\to\bar pπ^+$ ($α_+$) and… ▽ More Using a sample of $1.31\times 10^9$ $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we report the first observation of spin polarization of $Λ$ and $\barΛ$ hyperons from the coherent production in the $J/ψ\toΛ\barΛ$ decay. We measure the phase between the hadronic form factors to be $ΔΦ=(42.4\pm0.6\pm0.5)^\circ$. The decay parameters for $Λ\to pπ^-$ ($α_-$), $\barΛ\to\bar pπ^+$ ($α_+$) and $\barΛ\to\bar nπ^0$ ($\barα_0$) are measured to be $α_-=0.750\pm0.009\pm0.004$, $α_+=-0.758\pm0.010\pm0.007$ and $\barα_0=-0.692\pm0.016\pm0.006$, respectively. The obtained value of $α_-$ is higher by $(17\pm 3)\%$ than the current world average. In addition, the $CP$ asymmetry of $-0.006\pm0.012\pm0.007$ is extracted with substantially improved precision. Additionally, a mass-independent analysis is performed to extract a piecewise function that describes the dynamics of the $K_{S}K_{S}$ system while making minimal assumptions about the properties and number of poles in the amplitude. The dominant amplitudes in the mass-dependent analysis include the $f_{0}(1710)$, $f_{0}(2200)$, and $f_{2}^\prime(1525)$. The mass-independent results, which are made available as input for further studies, are consistent with those of the mass-dependent analysis and are useful for a systematic study of hadronic interactions. Evidence of a resonant structure in the $e^+e^-\to π^+D^0D^{*-}$ cross section between 4.05 and 4.60 GeV

Using several models to describe the dressed cross section yields stable parameters for the first enhancement, which has a mass of $4228.6 \pm 4.1 \pm 6.3 \un{MeV}/c^2$ and a width of $77.0 \pm 6.8 \pm 6.3 \un{MeV}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. Our resonant mass is consistent with previous observations of the $Y(4220)$ state and the theoretical prediction of a $D\bar{D}_1(2420)$ molecule. This result is the first observation of $Y(4220)$ associated with an open-charm final state. Fits with three resonance functions with additional $Y(4260)$, $Y(4320)$, $Y(4360)$, $ψ(4415)$, or a new resonance, do not show significant contributions from either of these resonances. The second enhancement is not from a single known resonance. It could contain contributions from $ψ(4415)$ and other resonances, and a detailed amplitude analysis is required to better understand this enhancement. △ Less

The relative phase between $Jψ$ electromagnetic decay and the continuum process ($e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation wit… ▽ More Using 16 energy points of $e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation data collected in the vicinity of the $J/ψ$ resonance with the BESIII detector and with a total integrated luminosity of around 100 pb$^{-1}$, we study the relative phase between the strong and electromagnetic amplitudes of $J/ψ$ decays. The relative phase between $Jψ$ electromagnetic decay and the continuum process ($e^{+}e^{-}$ annihilation without the $J/ψ$ resonance) is confirmed to be zero by studying the cross section lineshape of $μ^{+}μ^{-}$ production. The relative phase between $J/ψ$ strong and electromagnetic decays is then measured to be $(84.9\pm3.6)^\circ$ or $(-84.7\pm3.1)^\circ$ for the $2(π^{+}π^{-})π^{0}$ final state by investigating the interference pattern between the $J/ψ$ decay and the continuum process. This is the first measurement of the relative phase between $J/ψ$ strong and electromagnetic decays into a multihadron final state using the lineshape of the production cross section. We also study the production lineshape of the multihadron final state $ηπ^{+}π^{-}$ with $η\toπ^{+}π^{-}π^{0}$, which provides additional information about the phase between the $J/ψ$ electromagnetic decay amplitude and the continuum process. Additionally, the branching fraction of $J/ψ\to 2(π^{+}π^{-})π^{0}$ is measured to be $(4.73\pm0.44)\%$ or $(4.85\pm0.45)\%$, and the branching fraction of $J/ψ\toηπ^{+}π^{-}$ is measured to be $(3.78\pm0.68)\times10^{-4}$. Both of them are consistent with the world average values. The quoted uncertainties include both statistical and systematic uncertainties, which are mainly caused by the low statistics. △ Less

The Born cross sections of $e^+e^-\rightarrowΛ(1520)\bar{n}K^{0}_{S} + c.c.$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow Λ(1520)\bar{p}K^{+} + c.c.$ are measured, and the 90\% confidence level upper limits on the Born cross sections of $e^+e^-\rightarrowΛ(1520)\barΛ(1520)$ are determined at the seven center-of-mass energies. △ Less

Abstract: Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 567 pb$^{-1}$ collected at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=4.6$ GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the absolute branching fraction of the inclusive semileptonic $Λ_c^+$ decay with a double-tag method. We obtain $\mathcal{B}(Λ_c^+ \rightarrow X e^+ ν_e) = (3.95\pm0.34\pm0.09)\%$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The decay of $η\to π^+π^-π^0$ is utilized to tag the $V$ meson decaying into the invisible final state. No evidence for a significant invisible signal is observed, and the upper limits on the ratio of branching fractions at the 90\% confidence level are determined to be $\frac{\mathcal{B}(ω\rightarrow \rm{invisible})}{\mathcal{B}(ω\to π^+π^-π^0)} < 8.1 \times 10^{-5}$ and $\frac{\mathcal{B}(φ\to \rm{invisible})}{\mathcal{B}(φ\to K^+K^-)} < 3.4\times 10^{-4}$. By using the world average values of $\mathcal{B}(ω\to π^+π^-π^0)$ and $\mathcal{B}(φ\to K^+K^-)$, the upper limits on the decay branching fractions at the $90\%$ confidence level are set as $\mathcal{B}(ω\to \rm{invisible})< 7.3 \times 10^{-5}$ and $\mathcal{B}(φ\to \rm{invisible})< 1.7\times 10^{-4}$, respectively. △ Less

The product branching fractions, assuming no interference, are determined to be $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to η^{\prime}h_1(1380)) \times \mathcal{B}(h_1(1380) \to K^{*}(892)^{+} K^{-} +c.c.) = (1.51 \pm 0.09 \pm 0.21) \times 10^{-4}$ in $η^{\prime}K^+K^-π^0$ mode and $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to η^{\prime}h_1(1380)) \times \mathcal{B}(h_1(1380) \to K^{*}(892)\bar K +c.c.) = (2.16 \pm 0.12 \pm 0.29) \times 10^{-4}$ in $η^{\prime}K_S^0K^{\pm}π^{\mp}$ mode. The first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. Isospin symmetry violation is observed in the decays $h_1(1380) \to K^{*}(892)^{+} K^{-} +c.c.$ and $h_1(1380) \to K^{*}(892)^{0}\bar K^{0} +c.c.$. Based on the measured $h_1(1380)$ mass, the mixing angle between the states $h_1(1170)$ and $h_1(1380)$ is determined to be $(35.9\pm2.6)^{\circ}$, consistent with theoretical expectations. △ Less
