Multiplicity dependence of the $p_T$-spectra for charged particles and its relationship with partonic entropy
Abstract: We investigate the multiplicity dependence of the transverse momentum $p_T$ spectra of hadrons produced in high-energy collisions. We propose that the partonic distribution be parameterized by its non-extensive entropy and the parton saturation scale $Q_s(x)$. These two variables can be identified from the produced charged hadron distributions and provide important information on the gluon dynamic… ▽ More

Neutral current neutrino-nucleus interactions at high energies
Abstract: We present a QCD analysis of the neutral current neutrino-nucleus interaction at the small-x region using the color dipole formalism. This phenomenological approach is quite successful in describing experimental results in deep inelastic ep scattering and charged current neutrino-nucleus interactions at high energies. We present theoretical predictions for the relevant structure functions and th… ▽ More

Hard diffractive quarkonium hadroproduction at high energies
Abstract: We present a study of heavy quarkonium production in hard diffractive process by the Pomeron exchange for Tevatron and LHC energies. The numerical results are computed using recent experimental determination of the diffractive parton density functions in Pomeron and are corrected by unitarity corrections through gap survival probability factor. We give predictions for single as well as central d… ▽ More

Photoproduction at collider energies: from RHIC and HERA to the LHC
Abstract: We present the mini-proceedings of the workshop on ``Photoproduction at collider energies: from RHIC and HERA to the LHC'' held at the European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and Related Areas (ECT*, Trento) from January 15 to 19, 2007. The workshop gathered both theorists and experimentalists to discuss the current status of investigations of high-energy photon-induced proces… ▽ More

Small-x neutrino-hadron structure functions within the QCD color dipole picture
Abstract: We present an exploratory QCD analysis of the neutrino structure functions in charged current DIS using the color dipole formalism. The dipole cross sections are taken from recent phenomenological/theoretical studies in deep inelastic inclusive production. The theoretical predictions are compared to the available experimental results in the small-x region, which has never been considered so far.

Investigating F_L(x,Q2) at fixed energy in the color dipole formalism
Abstract: At small-x, the structure function F_L(x,Q2) is driven by the gluon content of the nucleon target and consequently it can unravel the underlying QCD dynamics in that region. In this work, one studies its behavior on photon virtuality Q2 at fixed energy within the color dipole formalism for models considering parton saturation effects. The reason is that they resum a wide class of higher-twist co… ▽ More

Vector Meson Production in Ultraperipheral Heavy Ion Collisions
Abstract: The ultraperipheral heavy ion collisions (UPC's) are an important alternative to study the QCD dynamics until the next generation of $e^+e^-/ ep / eA $ colliders become reality. Due to the coherent action of all the protons in the nucleus, the electromagnetic field is very strong and the resulting flux of equivalent photons is large, which allows to study two-photon as well as photonuclear inter… ▽ More

Investigating the role of average color dipole size in BFKL Pomeron phenomenology
Abstract: Based on the QCD dipole picture of the BFKL Pomeron, we investigate the role played by the saturation scale, Q_{sat}, in obtaining physical values for the affective strong coupling in phenomenological fits to small-x HERA data. The dependence on this scale appears since the collection of color dipoles characterizing the proton target have average size 1/Q_{sat}, which is energy dependent. Physic… ▽ More
