Coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEvNS) provides a unique probe for neutrino properties Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) physics. REactor neutrino LIquid xenon Coherent Scattering experiment (RELICS), a proposed reactor neutrino program using liquid xenon time projection chamber (LXeTPC) technology, aims to investigate the CEvNS process of antineutrinos off xenon atomic nuclei. In this work, the design of the experiment is studied and optimized based on Monte Carlo (MC) simulations. To achieve a sufficiently low energy threshold for CEvNS detection, an ionization-only analysis channel is adopted for RELICS. A high emission rate of delayed electrons after a big ionization signal is the major background, leading to an analysis threshold of 120 photo-electrons in the CEvNS search. The second largest background, nuclear recoils induced by cosmic-ray neutrons, is suppressed via a passive water shield. The physics potential of RELICS is explored with a 32 kg-yr exposure at a baseline of 25 m from a reactor core with a 3 GW thermal power. In an energy range of 120 to 240 PE, we expect 4902.4 CEvNS and 1318.4 background events. The sensitivity of RELICS to the weak mixing angle is investigated at a low momentum transfer. Our study shows that RELICS can further improve the constraints on the non-standard neutrino interaction (NSI) compared to the current best results.

Radon is a significant background source in rare event detection experiments. Activated Carbon (AC) adsorption is widely used for effective radon removal. The selection of AC considers its adsorption capacity and radioactive background. In this study, using self-developed devices, we screened and identified a new kind of low-background AC from Qingdao Inaf Technology Company that has very high Radon adsorption capacity. By adjusting the average pore size to 2.3 nm, this AC demonstrates a radon adsorption capacity of 2.6 or 4.7 times higher than Saratech or Carboact activated carbon under the same conditions.

The Super $τ$-Charm facility (STCF) is an electron-positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics community. It is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of $0.5\times 10^{35}{\rm cm}^{-2}{\rm s}^{-1}$ or higher. It is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of $0.5\times 10^{35}{\rm cm}^{-2}{\rm s}^{-1}$ or higher. The STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that by the present $τ$-Charm factory -- the BEPCII, providing a unique platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter (charge-parity violation), in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions, as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard Model. The STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R\&D program. This document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF, describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system, and discusses future plans for detector R\&D and physics case studies.

CP violation in the lepton sector, and other aspects of neutrino physics, are studied within a high scale supersymmetry model. In addition to the sneutrino vacuum expectation values (VEVs), the heavy vector-like triplet also contributes to neutrino masses. Phases of the VEVs of relevant fields, complex couplings and Zino mass are considered. The approximate degeneracy of neutrino masses $m_{ν_1}$ and $m_{ν_2}$ can be naturally understood. The neutrino masses are then normal ordered, $\sim$ 0.020 eV, 0.022 eV, and 0.054 eV. Large CP violation in neutrino oscillations is favored. The effective Majorana mass of the electron neutrino is about 0.02 eV.

A direct WIMP (Weakly Interacting Massive Particle) detector with a neutron veto system is designed to better reject neutrons. Two experimental configurations are studied in the present paper: one is for an Xe detector enclosed in a Gd-loaded scintillator and the other one is for an Xe detector placed inside a reactor neutrino detector. The Gd-doped liquid scintillator (or the neutrino detector) is used as a neutron veto device. The neutron backgrounds for the two experimental designs have been estimated using Geant4 simulations. The results show that the neutron backgrounds can decrease to O(0.1) events per year per tonne of liquid Xenon. We calculate the sensitivities to spin-independent WIMP-nucleon elastic scattering. An exposure of one tonne $\times$ year could reach a cross-section of about 6$\times$$10^{-11}$ pb.
