Multi-band radiomap reconstruction (MB-RMR) is a key component in wireless communications for tasks such as spectrum management and network planning. However, traditional machine-learning-based MB-RMR methods, which rely heavily on simulated data or complete structured ground truth, face significant deployment challenges. These challenges stem from the differences between simulated and actual data, as well as the scarcity of real-world measurements. To address these challenges, our study presents RadioGAT, a novel framework based on Graph Attention Network (GAT) tailored for MB-RMR within a single area, eliminating the need for multi-region datasets. RadioGAT innovatively merges model-based spatial-spectral correlation encoding with data-driven radiomap generalization, thus minimizing the reliance on extensive data sources. The framework begins by transforming sparse multi-band data into a graph structure through an innovative encoding strategy that leverages radio propagation models to capture the spatial-spectral correlation inherent in the data. This graph-based representation not only simplifies data handling but also enables tailored label sampling during training, significantly enhancing the framework's adaptability for deployment. Subsequently, The GAT is employed to generalize the radiomap information across various frequency bands. Extensive experiments using raytracing datasets based on real-world environments have demonstrated RadioGAT's enhanced accuracy in supervised learning settings and its robustness in semi-supervised scenarios. These results underscore RadioGAT's effectiveness and practicality for MB-RMR in environments with limited data availability.

Recently, deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have been widely explored in single image super-resolution (SISR) and contribute remarkable progress. However, most of the existing CNNs-based SISR methods do not adequately explore contextual information in the feature extraction stage and pay little attention to the final high-resolution (HR) image reconstruction step, hence hindering the desired SR performance. To address the above two issues, in this paper, we propose a two-stage attentive network (TSAN) for accurate SISR in a coarse-to-fine manner. Specifically, we design a novel multi-context attentive block (MCAB) to make the network focus on more informative contextual features. Moreover, we present an essential refined attention block (RAB) which could explore useful cues in HR space for reconstructing fine-detailed HR image. Extensive evaluations on four benchmark datasets demonstrate the efficacy of our proposed TSAN in terms of quantitative metrics and visual effects. Code is available at https://github.com/Jee-King/TSAN.

Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC) is a leading form of Head-and-Neck (HAN) cancer in the Arctic, China, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East/North Africa. Accurate segmentation of Organs-at-Risk (OAR) from Computed Tomography (CT) images with uncertainty information is critical for effective planning of radiation therapy for NPC treatment. Despite the stateof-the-art performance achieved by Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for automatic segmentation of OARs, existing methods do not provide uncertainty estimation of the segmentation results for treatment planning, and their accuracy is still limited by several factors, including the low contrast of soft tissues in CT, highly imbalanced sizes of OARs and large inter-slice spacing. To address these problems, we propose a novel framework for accurate OAR segmentation with reliable uncertainty estimation. First, we propose a Segmental Linear Function (SLF) to transform the intensity of CT images to make multiple organs more distinguishable than existing methods based on a simple window width/level that often gives a better visibility of one organ while hiding the others. Second, to deal with the large inter-slice spacing, we introduce a novel 2.5D network (named as 3D-SepNet) specially designed for dealing with clinic HAN CT scans with anisotropic spacing. Thirdly, existing hardness-aware loss function often deal with class-level hardness, but our proposed attention to hard voxels (ATH) uses a voxel-level hardness strategy, which is more suitable to dealing with some hard regions despite that its corresponding class may be easy. Our code is now available at https://github.com/HiLab-git/SepNet.

Radiotherapy is the main treatment modality for nasopharynx cancer. Delineation of Gross Target Volume (GTV) from medical images such as CT and MRI images is a prerequisite for radiotherapy. As manual delineation is time-consuming and laborious, automatic segmentation of GTV has a potential to improve this process. Currently, most of the deep learning-based automatic delineation methods of GTV are mainly performed on medical images like CT images. However, it is challenged by the low contrast between the pathology regions and surrounding soft tissues, small target region, and anisotropic resolution of clinical CT images. To deal with these problems, we propose a 2.5D Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to handle the difference of inplane and through-plane resolution. Furthermore, we propose a spatial attention module to enable the network to focus on small target, and use channel attention to further improve the segmentation performance. Moreover, we use multi-scale sampling method for training so that the networks can learn features at different scales, which are combined with a multi-model ensemble method to improve the robustness of segmentation results. We also estimate the uncertainty of segmentation results based on our model ensemble, which is of great importance for indicating the reliability of automatic segmentation results for radiotherapy planning.

In Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)-enabled mobile edge computing (MEC) systems, UAVs can carry edge servers to help ground user equipment (UEs) offloading their computing tasks to the UAVs for execution. This paper aims to minimize the total time required for the UAVs to complete the offloaded tasks, while optimizing the three-dimensional (3D) deployment of UAVs, including their flying height and horizontal positions. Although the formulated optimization is a mixed integer nonlinear programmming, we convert it to a convex problem and develop a successive convex approximation (SCA) based algorithm to effectively solve it. The simulation results show that the joint optimization of the horizontal and the vertical position of a group of UAVs can achieve better performance than the traditional algorithms.

Recently, single-image super-resolution has made great progress owing to the development of deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs). The vast majority of CNN-based models use a pre-defined upsampling operator, such as bicubic interpolation, to upscale input low-resolution images to the desired size and learn non-linear map** between the interpolated image and ground truth high-resolution (HR) image. However, interpolation processing can lead to visual artifacts as details are over-smoothed, particularly when the super-resolution factor is high. In this paper, we propose a Deep Recurrent Fusion Network (DRFN), which utilizes transposed convolution instead of bicubic interpolation for upsampling and integrates different-level features extracted from recurrent residual blocks to reconstruct the final HR images. We adopt a deep recurrence learning strategy and thus have a larger receptive field, which is conducive to reconstructing an image more accurately. Furthermore, we show that the multi-level fusion structure is suitable for dealing with image super-resolution problems. Extensive benchmark evaluations demonstrate that the proposed DRFN performs better than most current deep learning methods in terms of accuracy and visual effects, especially for large-scale images, while using fewer parameters.
