Lung cancer is one of the prevalence diseases in the world which cause many deaths. Detecting early stages of lung cancer is so necessary. So, modeling and simulating some intelligent medical systems is an essential which can help specialist to accurately determine and diagnose the disease. So this paper contributes a new lung cancer detection model in CT images which use machine learning methods. There are three steps in this model: noise reduction (pre-processing), segmentation (middle-processing) and optimize segmentation for detect exact are of nodules. This article use some filters for noise reduction and then use Independent Recurrent Neural Networks (IndRNN) as deep learning methods for segmentation which optimize and tune by Genetic Algorithm. The results represented that the proposed method can detect exact area of nodules in CT images.

Today, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) is one of the methods used to treat brain tumors. In conventional treatment planning methods, after identifying planning target volume (PTV), and organs at risk (OARs), and determining the limitations for them to receive radiation, the dose distribution is performed based on optimization algorithms, which is usually a time-consuming method. In this article, artificial intelligence is used to acquire the knowledge used in the treatment planning of past patients and to plan for new patients to speed up the process of treatment planning and determination of the appropriate dose distribution. In this paper, using deep learning algorithms, two different approaches are studied to predict dose distribution and compared with actual dose distributions. In the first method, only the images containing PTV and the distribution of the corresponding doses are used to train the convolutional neural network, but in the second one, in addition to PTV, the contours of four OARs are also used to introduce the network. The results show that the performance of both methods on test patients have high accuracy and in comparison with each other almost have the same results and high speed to design the dose distribution. Because the Only-PTV method does not have the process of OARs identifying, applying it in designing the dose distribution will be much faster than using the PTV-OARs method in the whole of treatment planning.

The proliferation of distributed energy resources (DERs) im-poses new challenges to distribution system operation, e.g., power quality issues. To overcome these challenges and enhance system operation, it is critical to effectively utilize all available resources and accurately characterize unbalanced distribution networks in operational tools. This paper proposes a convex second-order-cone programming (SOCP)-based AC optimal power flow (ACOPF) model for three-phase unbalanced distribution net-works, including smart inverters and Volt-VAr controller (VVC) devices. Reactive power-voltage (Q-V) characteristics of smart inverters of solar photovoltaic (PV) units are also modeled. More-over, the settings of Q-V characteristics of VVC are co-optimized within the proposed ACOPF, considering the allowable range of the IEEE 1547-2018 standard. Furthermore, dynamic analyses are conducted to verify the stability of optimal settings of VVC. The proposed models are tested on an actual 1747-node primary distribution feeder in Arizona. The results illustrate the effective-ness of the proposed ACOPF for unbalanced systems in provid-ing a global optimal solution while capturing the non-linearity and non-convexity of ACOPF. By co-optimizing settings, system operation is improved due to the flexibility of adjusting reactive power output from PV units with VVC. The time-domain simu-lations show that the optimal settings result in a stable system

The COVID-19 disease was first discovered in Wuhan, China, and spread quickly worldwide. After the COVID-19 pandemic, many researchers have begun to identify a way to diagnose the COVID-19 using chest X-ray images. The early diagnosis of this disease can significantly impact the treatment process. In this article, we propose a new technique that is faster and more accurate than the other methods reported in the literature. The proposed method uses a combination of DenseNet169 and MobileNet Deep Neural Networks to extract the features of the patient's X-ray images. Using the univariate feature selection algorithm, we refined the features for the most important ones. Then we applied the selected features as input to the LightGBM (Light Gradient Boosting Machine) algorithm for classification. To assess the effectiveness of the proposed method, the ChestX-ray8 dataset, which includes 1125 X-ray images of the patient's chest, was used. The proposed method achieved 98.54% and 91.11% accuracies in the two-class (COVID-19, Healthy) and multi-class (COVID-19, Healthy, Pneumonia) classification problems, respectively. It is worth mentioning that we have used Gradient-weighted Class Activation Map** (Grad-CAM) for further analysis.

Real-time classification of Electromyography signals is the most challenging part of controlling a prosthetic hand. Achieving a high classification accuracy of EMG signals in a short delay time is still challenging. Recurrent neural networks (RNNs) are artificial neural network architectures that are appropriate for sequential data such as EMG. In this paper, after extracting features from a hybrid time-frequency domain (discrete Wavelet transform), we utilize a set of recurrent neural network-based architectures to increase the classification accuracy and reduce the prediction delay time. The performances of these architectures are compared and in general outperform other state-of-the-art methods by achieving 96% classification accuracy in 600 msec.

In recent years, real-time control of prosthetic hands has gained a great deal of attention. In particular, real-time analysis of Electromyography (EMG) signals has several challenges to achieve an acceptable accuracy and execution delay. In this paper, we address some of these challenges by improving the accuracy in a shorter signal length. We first introduce a set of new feature extraction functions applying on each level of wavelet decomposition. Then, we propose a postprocessing approach to process the neural network outputs. The experimental results illustrate that the proposed method enhances the accuracy of real-time classification of EMG signals up to $95.5\%$ for $800$ msec signal length. The proposed postprocessing method achieves higher consistency compared with conventional majority voting and Bayesian fusion methods.

In this paper, we propose to utilize Extreme Value Machine (EVM) as a high-performance algorithm for the classification of EMG signals. We employ reflection coefficients obtained from an Autoregressive (AR) model to train a set of classifiers. Our experimental results indicate that EVM has better accuracy in comparison to the conventional classifiers approved in the literature based on K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) and Support Vector Machine (SVM).

In community detection, the exact recovery of communities (clusters) has been mainly investigated under the general stochastic block model with edges drawn from Bernoulli distributions. This paper considers the exact recovery of communities in a complete graph in which the graph edges are drawn from either a set of Gaussian distributions with community-dependent means and variances, or a set of exponential distributions with community-dependent means. For each case, we introduce a new semi-metric that describes sufficient and necessary conditions of exact recovery. The necessary and sufficient conditions are asymptotically tight. The analysis is also extended to incomplete, fully connected weighted graphs.
