This research paper explores the application of style transfer in computer vision using RGB images and their corresponding depth maps. We propose a novel method that incorporates the depth map and a heatmap of the RGB image to generate more realistic style transfer results. We compare our method to the traditional neural style transfer approach and find that our method outperforms it in terms of producing more realistic color and style. The proposed method can be applied to various computer vision applications, such as image editing and virtual reality, to improve the realism of generated images. Overall, our findings demonstrate the potential of incorporating depth information and heatmap of RGB images in style transfer for more realistic results.

This project developed a web application using VTK for ultrasound visualization. The images were enhanced using median and Gaussian filters, and two algorithms were utilized for data visualization: isosurface extraction and Delaunay triangulation. Results showed that both algorithms were effective at reducing Gaussian noise and high-frequency noise, such as speckle noise, which is common in ultrasound. The web application allows users to select MHA files, adjust the marching cubes threshold, and switch between the two algorithms in runtime. This project demonstrates the benefits of ultrasound visualization in medical applications and the utility of using VTK to achieve high-quality visualizations. The web application provides healthcare professionals with a user-friendly platform to interpret ultrasound data, leading to better diagnosis and treatment decisions

Falls have become more frequent in recent years, which has been harmful for senior citizens.Therefore detecting falls have become important and several data sets and machine learning model have been introduced related to fall detection. In this project report, a human fall detection method is proposed using a multi modality approach. We used the UP-FALL detection data set which is collected by dozens of volunteers using different sensors and two cameras. We use wrist sensor with acclerometer data kee** labels to binary classification, namely fall and no fall from the data set.We used fusion of camera and sensor data to increase performance. The experimental results shows that using only wrist data as compared to multi sensor for binary classification did not impact the model prediction performance for fall detection.

The management of cattle over a huge area is still a challenging problem in the farming sector. With evolution in technology, Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with consumer level digital cameras are becoming a popular alternative to manual animal censuses for livestock estimation since they are less risky and expensive.This paper evaluated and compared the cutting-edge object detection algorithms, YOLOv7,RetinaNet with ResNet50 backbone, RetinaNet with EfficientNet and mask RCNN. It aims to improve the occlusion problem that is to detect hidden cattle from a huge dataset captured by drones using deep learning algorithms for accurate cattle detection. Experimental results showed YOLOv7 was superior with precision of 0.612 when compared to the other two algorithms. The proposed method proved superior to the usual competing algorithms for cow face detection, especially in very difficult cases.

Cloud computing plays a critical role in modern society and enables a range of applications from infrastructure to social media. Such system must cope with varying load and evolving usage reflecting societies interaction and dependency on automated computing systems whilst satisfying Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees. Enabling these systems are a cohort of conceptual technologies, synthesized to meet demand of evolving computing applications. In order to understand current and future challenges of such system, there is a need to identify key technologies enabling future applications. In this study, we aim to explore how three emerging paradigms (Blockchain, IoT and Artificial Intelligence) will influence future cloud computing systems. Further, we identify several technologies driving these paradigms and invite international experts to discuss the current status and future directions of cloud computing. Finally, we proposed a conceptual model for cloud futurology to explore the influence of emerging paradigms and technologies on evolution of cloud computing.
