Pharmacometric models are pivotal across drug discovery and development, playing a decisive role in determining the progression of candidate molecules. However, the derivation of mathematical equations governing the system is a labor-intensive trial-and-error process, often constrained by tight timelines. In this study, we introduce PKINNs, a novel purely data-driven pharmacokinetic-informed neural network model. PKINNs efficiently discovers and models intrinsic multi-compartment-based pharmacometric structures, reliably forecasting their derivatives. The resulting models are both interpretable and explainable through Symbolic Regression methods. Our computational framework demonstrates the potential for closed-form model discovery in pharmacometric applications, addressing the labor-intensive nature of traditional model derivation. With the increasing availability of large datasets, this framework holds the potential to significantly enhance model-informed drug discovery.

The recently introduced class of architectures known as Neural Operators has emerged as highly versatile tools applicable to a wide range of tasks in the field of Scientific Machine Learning (SciML), including data representation and forecasting. In this study, we investigate the capabilities of Neural Implicit Flow (NIF), a recently developed mesh-agnostic neural operator, for representing the latent dynamics of canonical systems such as the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky (KS), forced Korteweg-de Vries (fKdV), and Sine-Gordon (SG) equations, as well as for extracting dynamically relevant information from them. Finally we assess the applicability of NIF as a dimensionality reduction algorithm and conduct a comparative analysis with another widely recognized family of neural operators, known as Deep Operator Networks (DeepONets).

The energy efficiency aspect of cellular networks is a vital topic of research over the recent days. As energy consumption is on the rise and the price of electricity is increasing very rapidly, necessity to reduce electricity usage in every aspect is becoming much more significant. The power grid infrastructure, from which the cellular networks attain the required electricity for operation is considering a significant change from the traditional electricity grid to the smart grid. The base stations, which are the main candidates for energy consumption in cellular networks, remain in operation even when there are a very few users or no user at all. In this paper, we propose an effective application scenario of the femtocell technology for power saving purpose of cellular networks. Effective deployment of femto-access-points in the required places can reduce the power usage of cellular networks by turning off the redundant base stations. Moreover, the signal to noise plus interference ratio is also enhanced in comparison to the traditional scheme. The base station turn off probability and the energy consumption in the overall network are analyzed. The comparison results show that the proposed energy efficient model can significantly reduce energy consumption and increase the service quality of the cellular users.

Out of the very few studies that paid proper attention to the harmful health impacts in millimeter-wave (mmW) communications, most of them are concerned about uplink cases due to closer contact with the human body. Our recent study revealed that even the human exposure to radio frequency (RF) fields in downlink mmW technology is not very minimum to be ignored. There were a few RF exposure mitigation techniques for uplinks, but the downlink scenario is hardly paid any attention. However, this paper proposes a downlink protocol for mmW cellular communications that achieves the maximum data rate while kee** the impacts on human health minimized. Our results show that the proposed technique lowers both power density (PD) and specific absorption rate (SAR) compared to the typical protocol, with only slight sacrifice in data rates.
