The advent of Blockchain technology (BT) revolutionised the way remittance transactions are recorded. Banks and remittance organisations have shown a growing interest in exploring blockchain's potential advantages over traditional practices. This paper presents a data-driven predictive decision support approach as an innovative artefact designed for the blockchain-oriented remittance industry. Employing a theory-generating Design Science Research (DSR) approach, we have uncovered the emergence of predictive capabilities driven by transactional big data. The artefact integrates predictive analytics and Machine Learning (ML) to enable real-time remittance monitoring, empowering management decision-makers to address challenges in the uncertain digitised landscape of blockchain-oriented remittance companies. Bridging the gap between theory and practice, this research not only enhances the security of the remittance ecosystem but also lays the foundation for future predictive decision support solutions, extending the potential of predictive analytics to other domains. Additionally, the generated theory from the artifact's implementation enriches the DSR approach and fosters grounded and stakeholder theory development in the information systems domain.

Prediction of stock prices plays a significant role in aiding the decision-making of investors. Considering its importance, a growing literature has emerged trying to forecast stock prices with improved accuracy. In this study, we introduce an innovative approach for forecasting stock prices with greater accuracy. We incorporate external economic environment-related information along with stock prices. In our novel approach, we improve the performance of stock price prediction by taking into account variations due to future expected macroeconomic policy changes as investors adjust their current behavior ahead of time based on expected future macroeconomic policy changes. Furthermore, we incorporate macroeconomic variables along with historical stock prices to make predictions. Results from this strongly support the inclusion of future economic policy changes along with current macroeconomic information. We confirm the supremacy of our method over the conventional approach using several tree-based machine-learning algorithms. Results are strongly conclusive across various machine learning models. Our preferred model outperforms the conventional approach with an RMSE value of 1.61 compared to an RMSE value of 1.75 from the conventional approach.

Cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of mortality in the contemporary world. Its association with smoking, elevated blood pressure, and cholesterol levels underscores the significance of these risk factors. This study addresses the challenge of predicting myocardial illness, a formidable task in medical research. Accurate predictions are pivotal for refining healthcare strategies. This investigation conducts a comparative analysis of six distinct machine learning models: Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine, Decision Tree, Bagging, XGBoost, and LightGBM. The attained outcomes exhibit promise, with accuracy rates as follows: Logistic Regression (81.00%), Support Vector Machine (75.01%), XGBoost (92.72%), LightGBM (90.60%), Decision Tree (82.30%), and Bagging (83.01%). Notably, XGBoost emerges as the top-performing model. These findings underscore its potential to enhance predictive precision for coronary infarction. As the prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors persists, incorporating advanced machine learning techniques holds the potential to refine proactive medical interventions.

Accurate traffic predictions are vital for functions like trip planning, traffic control, and vehicle routing in such systems. Three prominent GNN architectures Graph Convolutional Networks (Graph Sample and Aggregation) and Gated Graph Neural Networks are explored within the context of traffic prediction. Each architecture's methodology is thoroughly examined, including layer configurations, activation functions,and hyperparameters. The primary goal is to minimize prediction errors, with GGNNs emerging as the most effective choice among the three models. The research outlines outcomes for each architecture, elucidating their predictive performance through root mean squared error and mean absolute error (MAE). Hypothetical results reveal intriguing insights: GCNs display an RMSE of 9.10 and an MAE of 8.00, while GraphSAGE shows improvement with an RMSE of 8.3 and an MAE of 7.5. Gated Graph Neural Networks (GGNNs) exhibit the lowest RMSE at 9.15 and an impressive MAE of 7.1, positioning them as the frontrunner.

Brain tumors pose a significant global health challenge due to their high prevalence and mortality rates across all age groups. Detecting brain tumors at an early stage is crucial for effective treatment and patient outcomes. This study presents a comprehensive investigation into the use of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for brain tumor detection using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) images. The dataset, consisting of MRI scans from both healthy individuals and patients with brain tumors, was processed and fed into the CNN architecture. The SoftMax Fully Connected layer was employed to classify the images, achieving an accuracy of 98%. To evaluate the CNN's performance, two other classifiers, Radial Basis Function (RBF) and Decision Tree (DT), were utilized, yielding accuracy rates of 98.24% and 95.64%, respectively. The study also introduced a clustering method for feature extraction, improving CNN's accuracy. Sensitivity, Specificity, and Precision were employed alongside accuracy to comprehensively evaluate the network's performance. Notably, the SoftMax classifier demonstrated the highest accuracy among the categorizers, achieving 99.52% accuracy on test data. The presented research contributes to the growing field of deep learning in medical image analysis. The combination of CNNs and MRI data offers a promising tool for accurately detecting brain tumors, with potential implications for early diagnosis and improved patient care.

However, existing literature mostly focuses on historical sales data and ignores the vital influence of macroeconomic conditions on consumer spending behavior. In this study, we bridge this gap by enriching time series data of customer demand with macroeconomic variables, such as the Consumer Price Index (CPI), Index of Consumer Sentiment (ICS), and unemployment rates. Leveraging this comprehensive dataset, we develop and compare various regression and machine learning models to predict retail demand accurately.

Mobile phones and other electronic gadgets or devices have aided in collecting data without the need for data entry. This paper will specifically focus on Mobile health data. Mobile health data use mobile devices to gather clinical health data and track patient vitals in real-time. Our study is aimed to give decisions for small or big sports teams on whether one athlete good fit or not for a particular game with the compare several machine learning algorithms to predict human behavior and health using the data collected from mobile devices and sensors placed on patients. In this study, we have obtained the dataset from a similar study done on mhealth. The dataset contains vital signs recordings of ten volunteers from different backgrounds. They had to perform several physical activities with a sensor placed on their bodies. Our study used 5 machine learning algorithms (XGBoost, Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, Random Forest, and Logistic Regression) to analyze and predict human health behavior. XGBoost performed better compared to the other machine learning algorithms and achieved 95.2% accuracy, 99.5% in sensitivity, 99.5% in specificity, and 99.66% in F1 score. Our research indicated a promising future in mhealth being used to predict human behavior and further research and exploration need to be done for it to be available for commercial use specifically in the sports industry.

Adopting a good health information system (HIS) is essential for providing high-quality healthcare. With rapid advances in technology in the healthcare industry in recent years, healthcare providers seek effective options to deal with numerous diseases and a growing number of patients, adopting advanced HIS such as for clinical decision support. While the clinical decision support systems (CDSS) can help medical personnel make better decisions, they may bring negative results due to a lack of understanding of the elements that influence GP's adoption of CDSS. This paper focuses on discovering obstacles that may contribute to the problems surrounding CDSS adoption. Thirty general practitioners were interviewed from different primary health centers in Saudi Arabia in order to determine the challenges and obstacles in the sector. While the outcome confirms that there are obstacles that affect the aspects, such as time risk, quality of the system used, slow Internet speed, user interface, lack of training, high costs, patient satisfaction, multiple systems used, technical support, computer skills, lack of flexibility, system update, professional skills and knowledge, computer efficiency and quality and accuracy of data.

The aged care sector in Australia faces significant challenges. While many of these issues have been clearly identified, their urgency has been further highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic. Technology such as in-home monitoring is one way to address some of these challenges. However, the efficacy of technology must be considered together with its implementation and running costs to ensure that there is a return on investment, and it is economically viable as a solution. A pilot program was run in-home monitoring system to test the efficacy of this system. This paper focuses on an economic analysis to better understand the financial viability of such systems. Using a secondary analysis approach, the findings identified that revenue could be generated by providing carers with additional services such as real-time monitoring of the client, which can foster deeper relationships with the customer, along with savings of healthcare costs to carers, service providers and Government. Savings are related to the earlier intervention of critical events that are identified by the system, as delays in treatment of some critical events can create much more severe and costly health outcomes. Further health costs savings can be made via trend analysis which can show more nuanced health deterioration that is often missed. The implementation of preventative measures via this identification can reduce the chances of critical events occurring which have much higher costs. Overall, monitoring systems lead to a transition from a reactive to a preventative services offering, delivering more targeted and personalised care.

Objective: Our study objective is to design a feasible technology solution for health organizations to remove barriers to evidence-based clinical information retrieval, and improve Evidence-Based Practice. Methods: Literature from 2010 to 2020 was reviewed to define problems in evidence-based clinical information retrieval with recommendations from literature used to define solution objectives. Design Science Research is used to complete three projects in a research stream using cloud services such as Web-Scale Discovery, Content Management System, Federated Access, Global Knowledgebase, and Document Delivery. Design thinking, systems thinking, and user-oriented theory of information need are adopted to construct a design theory. Results: The research stream produced three novel and innovative artefacts: a contextual model, a unified architecture, and a context-aware unified architecture which we evaluate as part of academic reviews, scholarly publications, and conference proceedings in various research stream stages. A fourth artefact or design theory is presented to generalize results as mature knowledge.

Electronic commerce (e-Commerce) technologies have been increased over the past two decades in different business sectors. In particular, the technologies of B2C operations have significantly improved the productivity of online small businesses such as SMEs. Systematic literature review in this domain categorized different benefits but a limited number of studies on SME success from a view of an information systems (IS) research exists, which needs to be taken for further attention. Informing through a comprehensive analysis this study introduces a conceptual framework of the application of e-Commerce technologies in accelerating the SME operation. The phenomenon of innovation has been shifting away from focusing on tangible to intangible modernization with its vitalizing context. This shift appears vitally in innovation developed by individual end-users in organizations and societies, including the exploration of the intangible end-user innovation existence and impact in the household sector on a national scale. Some examples of intangible end-user innovation include technique, service, and user behavior. Although, there is a variety of intangible end-user innovation discussed in the literature, limited understanding is existed for constructing an efficient and comprehensive typology, which encompasses the nature of this innovation phenomenon. This research study explores this original phenomenon for proposing a new concept that will act as an overarching descriptor of innovation types: idea, object, and behavior. This proposed concept, relating to intangible innovation, will explain the sequence within one or many connected intangible activities that provide novelty to its end-user relative to previous activities and practices. With the medical development in recent decades, the multiplicity of different diseases, and an increased number of patients, the use of an advanced healthcare information technology (HIT) such as a clinical decision support system (CDSS) has been of necessary to help general practitioners (GPs). CDSS may fail due to the failure to understand the factors influencing the GP's acceptance of CDSS. Identifying factors that promote acceptance of CDSS can be a vital aspect for its successful implementation. This study seeks to identify factors that influence the acceptance of CDSS in Saudi Arabia by GPs. This study relies mainly on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) which has been integrated with a task-technology fit (TTF) model and has applied a qualitative method to collect the data through using semi-structured interviews with 12 GPs. The study's results indicated that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, technology fit for the task, technology characteristics and task characteristics have all influenced the acceptance of CDSS. Over the past three years, we conducted qualitative research into three distinctive phases to develop an extended Task-Technology Fit (TTF) Framework. These phases are for initiating requirement generation of the framework, discovering the factors of the framework through perspectives, and evaluating the new proposed framework. The new condition is related to develo** country in which various sectors such as healthcare is mostly under attention. Information and communication technology (ICT) tools are ineffective when assessing solutions of questions with more than one step. ICT tools assessing these types of questions are paralleled to solving complex problems. This conceptual paper describes the method that will be adopted to create rule based expert system (ES) prototype implementing method marking concept (MMC) in assessing multi-step questions (MSQ) solutions. Pragmatist views and mixed methods will be used to conduct document analysis using undergraduate students' solutions to past examination papers and related findings from previous research. Design science research paradigm and ES development phases will be used to design, construct and evaluate an artifact based on ES. The expected functioning ES artifact will enhance the authenticity of assessment, because evaluation of solution strategies in MSQ solution reveals how much the comprehension of the domain under evaluation is shown. The artifact and the conceptual framework can be applied to a similar domain with modifications or as it is.

Managers are heavily engaged in strategic decision-making for businesses, particularly in a changing environment. One of the most important decisions for online small businesses, as part of their strategic planning, is selecting relevant features on their websites, both to attract and interact with consumers. However, only a few Australian small businesses use strategic tools for selecting their website features. As a result, businesses lose potential domestic sales in the business-to-consumer (B2C) sector. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between factors that influence consumers' online purchasing, and owner/manager strategic decisions in selecting relevant features for websites. Results from employing qualitative case studies with small business owner/managers, and a content analysis of website features, inform the design of a Decision Support Systems (DSS) framework. This may assist owner/managers' strategic decisions to implement competitive features on B2C websites that ultimately attract more consumers.

The implications of intergovernmental agencies may forever change the way in which governments provide common services within a federated Australia. As governments seek to reduce duplication and inconsistencies across state and territory borders, intergovernmental agencies, born out of intergovernmental agreements, without any link to specific state or territory legislation, are challenging managers to develop, new approaches to procurement and implement information systems within this new legal dynamic framework. This paper considers the implications to managing health related records and their IT systems, having common legislative obligations across all Australia jurisdictions, to determine whether these new forms of government allow for the disposal of information, aimed at saving costs, improving the quality of data and reduce litigious risk. The paper also investigates the more general implications for any organisation operating nationally, to data sovereignty and how legislative ownership of records may predetermine how and where intergovernmental agencies can manage information assets.
