Nowadays, the speed up development and use of digital devices such as smartphones have put people at risk of internet crimes. The evidence of present crimes in a computer file can be easily unreachable by changing the prefix of a file or other algorithms. In more complex cases, either file divided into different parts or the parts of a file that has information about the file type are deleted, where the file fragment recognition issue is discussed. The known files are divided into different fragments, and different classification algorithms are used to solve the problems of file fragment recognition. The issue of identifying the type of file fragment due to its importance in cybercrime issues as well as antivirus has been highly emphasized and has been addressed in many articles. Increasing the accuracy in this field on the types of widely used files due to the sensitivity of the subject of recognizing the type of file under study is the main goal of researchers in this field. Failure to identify the correct type of file will lead to deviations of the results and evidence from the main issue or failure to conclude. In this paper, first, the file is divided into different fragments. Then, the file fragment features, which are obtained from Binary Frequency Distribution, are reduced by 2 feature reduction algorithms; Sequential Forward Selection algorithm as well as Sequential Floating Forward Selection algorithm to delete sparse features that result in increased accuracy and speed. Finally, the reduced features are given to 3 Multiclass classifier algorithms, Multilayer Perceptron, Support Vector Machines, and K-Nearest Neighbor for classification and comparison of the results. The proposed recognition algorithm can recognize 6 types of useful files and may distinguish a type of file fragments with higher accuracy than the similar works done.

Abstract:
In this paper, we propose a novel approach for the quality assessment of pork carcasses using 3D shape analysis. First, we make a 3D model of a pork half-carcass using a 3D scanner and then we take advantage of spectral graph wavelet signature (SGWS) to build a local spectral descriptor. Next, we aggregate the extracted features using the bag-of-geometric-words paradigm to globally represent the h…

Next, we aggregate the extracted features using the bag-of-geometric-words paradigm to globally represent the half-carcass shape. We then employ partial least-squares regression to predict the weight of pork cuts for the quality assessment of carcasses. Our results demonstrate that SpectralWeight can predict the weight of different pork cuts and tissues with high accuracy. Although in this study we evaluate the performance of SGWS for the weight prediction of pork dissection, our framework is fairly general and enables new ways to estimate the quality and economical value of carcasses of different animals.

A new Adaptive Neuro Particle Swarm Optimization (ANPSO) combined with a fuzzy inference system for diagnosing disorders is presented in this paper. The main contributions of the novel proposed method can be a global search across the whole search space with faster convergence rate. Moreover, it shows a better exploration and exploitation by applying the adaptive control parameters, automatic control of inertia weight and coefficient of personal and social behaviours. Utilizing such attributes lead to a fast and smart diagnosis mechanism which is able to diagnosis the diseases by the high accuracy. The ANPSO is associated with tuning the characteristics of the inference system to achieve the minimum diagnosis error as far as the optimized model is obtained. As a case study, we use liver disorders dataset called Bupa. According to the preliminary ramifications, the suggested adaptive PSO performance can overcome the traditional inference system and combined with other optimization methods substantially.

In this paper, we present a spectral graph wavelet approach for shape analysis of carpal bones of human wrist. We apply a metric called global spectral graph wavelet signature for representation of cortical surface of the carpal bone based on eigensystem of Laplace-Beltrami operator. Furthermore, we propose a heuristic and efficient way of aggregating local descriptors of a carpal bone surface to global descriptor. The resultant global descriptor is not only isometric invariant, but also much more efficient and requires less memory storage. We perform experiments on shape of the carpal bones of ten women and ten men from a publicly-available database. Experimental results show the excellency of the proposed GSGW compared to recent proposed GPS embedding approach for comparing shapes of the carpal bones across populations.

Spectral shape descriptors have been used extensively in a broad spectrum of geometry processing applications ranging from shape retrieval and segmentation to classification. In this pa- per, we propose a spectral graph wavelet approach for 3D shape classification using the bag-of-features paradigm. In an effort to capture both the local and global geometry of a 3D shape, we present a three-step feature description framework. First, local descriptors are extracted via the spectral graph wavelet transform having the Mexican hat wavelet as a generating ker- nel. Second, mid-level features are obtained by embedding lo- cal descriptors into the visual vocabulary space using the soft- assignment coding step of the bag-of-features model. Third, a global descriptor is constructed by aggregating mid-level fea- tures weighted by a geodesic exponential kernel, resulting in a matrix representation that describes the frequency of appearance of nearby codewords in the vocabulary. Experimental results on two standard 3D shape benchmarks demonstrate the effective- ness of the proposed classification approach in comparison with state-of-the-art methods.

Developed by Paul Kocher, Joshua Jaffe, and Benjamin Jun in 1999, Differential Power Analysis (DPA) represents a unique and powerful cryptanalysis technique. Insight into the encryption and decryption behavior of a cryptographic device can be determined by examining its electrical power signature. This paper describes a novel approach for implementation of the AES algorithm which provides a significantly improved strength against differential power analysis with a minimal additional hardware overhead. Our method is based on randomization in composite field arithmetic which entails an area penalty of only 7% while does not decrease the working frequency, does not alter the algorithm and keeps perfect compatibility with the published standard. The efficiency of the proposed technique was verified by practical results obtained from real implementation on a Xilinx Spartan-II FPGA.
