Skin cancer is a serious worldwide health issue, precise and early detection is essential for better patient outcomes and effective treatment. In this research, we use modern deep learning methods and explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) approaches to address the problem of skin cancer detection. To categorize skin lesions, we employ four cutting-edge pre-trained models: XceptionNet, EfficientNetV2S, InceptionResNetV2, and EfficientNetV2M. Image augmentation approaches are used to reduce class imbalance and improve the generalization capabilities of our models. Our models decision-making process can be clarified because of the implementation of explainable artificial intelligence (XAI). In the medical field, interpretability is essential to establish credibility and make it easier to implement AI driven diagnostic technologies into clinical workflows. We determined the XceptionNet architecture to be the best performing model, achieving an accuracy of 88.72%. Our study shows how deep learning and explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) can improve skin cancer diagnosis, laying the groundwork for future developments in medical image analysis. These technologies ability to allow for early and accurate detection could enhance patient care, lower healthcare costs, and raise the survival rates for those with skin cancer. Accurate disease categorization using endoscopic images is a significant problem in Gastroenterology. This paper describes a technique for assisting medical diagnosis procedures and identifying gastrointestinal tract disorders based on the categorization of characteristics taken from endoscopic pictures using a vision transformer and transfer learning model. Vision transformer has shown very promising results on difficult image classification tasks. In this paper, we have suggested a vision transformer based approach to detect gastrointestianl diseases from wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) curated images of colon with an accuracy of 95.63\%. We have compared this transformer based approach with pretrained convolutional neural network (CNN) model DenseNet201 and demonstrated that vision transformer surpassed DenseNet201 in various quantitative performance evaluation metrics.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is an endrocrinological dysfunction prevalent among women of reproductive age. PCOS is a combination of syndromes caused by an excess of androgens - a group of sex hormones - in women. Syndromes including acne, alopecia, hirsutism, hyperandrogenaemia, oligo-ovulation, etc. are caused by PCOS. It is also a major cause of female infertility. An estimated 15% of reproductive-aged women are affected by PCOS globally. The necessity of detecting PCOS early due to the severity of its deleterious effects cannot be overstated. In this paper, we have developed PCONet - a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) - to detect polycistic ovary from ovarian ultrasound images. We have also fine tuned InceptionV3 - a pretrained convolutional neural network of 45 layers - by utilizing the transfer learning method to classify polcystic ovarian ultrasound images. We have compared these two models on various quantitative performance evaluation parameters and demonstrated that PCONet is the superior one among these two with an accuracy of 98.12%, whereas the fine tuned InceptionV3 showcased an accuracy of 96.56% on test images.

Street lighting system has always been the traditional manual system of illuminating the streets in Bangladesh, where a dedicated person is posted only to control the street lights of a zone, who roams around the zonal area to switch on and switch off the lights two times a day, which brings about the exhibition of bright lights in street even after sunrise and in some cases maybe the whole day. This results in insertion to the budget. In addition to this, faulty lights may not come to the heed of the concerned authority for a long time which leads to the technical downside. This paper demonstrates a process of controlling the street lights in country like Bangladesh employing SIM900 GSM-GPRS Shield which comes up with the provision of manual control, semi-automated control as well as full-automated control.

Dependent Object Types (DOT) is intended to be a core calculus for modelling Scala. Its distinguishing feature is abstract type members, fields in objects that hold types rather than values. Proving soundness of DOT has been surprisingly challenging, and existing proofs are complicated, and reason about multiple concepts at the same time (e.g. types, values, evaluation). To serve as a core calculus for Scala, DOT should be easy to experiment with and extend, and therefore its soundness proof needs to be easy to modify.
This paper presents a simple and modular proof strategy for reasoning in DOT. The strategy separates reasoning about types from other concerns. It is centred around a theorem that connects the full DOT type system to a restricted variant in which the challenges and paradoxes caused by abstract type members are eliminated. Almost all reasoning in the proof is done in the intuitive world of this restricted type system. Once we have the necessary results about types, we observe that the other aspects of DOT are mostly standard and can be incorporated into a soundness proof using familiar techniques known from other calculi.
Our paper comes with a machine-verified version of the proof in Coq.
