The assessment of craniofacial deformities requires patient data which is sparsely available. Statistical shape models provide realistic and synthetic data enabling comparisons of existing methods on a common dataset.
We build the first publicly available statistical 3D head model of craniosynostosis patients and the first model focusing on infants younger than 1.5 years. We further present a shape-model-based classification pipeline to distinguish between three different classes of craniosynostosis and a control group on photogrammetric surface scans. To the best of our knowledge, our study uses the largest dataset of craniosynostosis patients in a classification study for craniosynostosis and statistical shape modeling to date.
We demonstrate that our shape model performs similar to other statistical shape models of the human head. Craniosynostosis-specific pathologies are represented in the first eigenmodes of the model. Regarding the automatic classification of craniosynostis, our classification approach yields an accuracy of 97.8%, comparable to other state-of-the-art methods using both computed tomography scans and stereophotogrammetry.
Our publicly available, craniosynostosis-specific statistical shape model enables the assessment of craniosynostosis on realistic and synthetic data. We further present a state-of-the-art shape-model-based classification approach for a radiation-free diagnosis of craniosynostosis.

Web spectrum monitoring systems based on crowdsourcing have recently gained popularity. These systems are however limited to applications of interest for governamental organizationsor telecom providers, and only provide aggregated information about spectrum statistics. Theresult is that there is a lack of interest for layman users to participate, which limits its widespreaddeployment. We present Electrosense+ which addresses this challenge and creates a general-purpose and open platform for spectrum monitoring using low-cost, embedded, and software-defined spectrum IoT sensors. Electrosense+ allows users to remotely decode specific parts ofthe radio spectrum. It builds on the centralized architecture of its predecessor, Electrosense, forcontrolling and monitoring the spectrum IoT sensors, but implements a real-time and peer-to-peercommunication system for scalable spectrum data decoding. We propose different mechanismsto incentivize the participation of users for deploying new sensors and keep them operational inthe Electrosense network. As a reward for the user, we propose an incentive accounting systembased on virtual tokens to encourage the participants to host IoT sensors. We present the newElectrosense+ system architecture and evaluate its performance at decoding various wireless sig-nals, including FM radio, AM radio, ADS-B, AIS, LTE, and ACARS.

Behavior Trees are commonly used to model agents for robotics and games, where constrained behaviors must be designed by human experts in order to guarantee that these agents will execute a specific chain of actions given a specific set of perceptions. In such application areas, learning is a desirable feature to provide agents with the ability to adapt and improve interactions with humans and environment, but often discarded due to its unreliability. In this paper, we propose a framework that uses Reinforcement Learning nodes as part of Behavior Trees to address the problem of adding learning capabilities in constrained agents. We show how this framework relates to Options in Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning, ensuring convergence of nested learning nodes, and we empirically show that the learning nodes do not affect the execution of other nodes in the tree.
