Abstract:
We report $^{121}$Sb nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) measurements on kagome superconductor CsV$_3$Sb$_5$ with $T_{\rm c}=2.5$ K. $^{121}$Sb NQR spectra split after a charge density wave (CDW) transition at $94$ K, which demonstrates a commensurate CDW state. The coexistence of the high temperature phase and the CDW phase between $91$ K and $94$ K manifests that it is a first order phase transit…

The coexistence of the high temperature phase and the CDW phase between $91$ K and $94$ K manifests that it is a first order phase transition. The CDW order exhibits Tri-Hexagonal deformation with a lateral shift between the adjacent kagome layers, which is consistent with $2 \times 2 \times 2$ superlattice modulation. The superconducting state coexists with CDW order and shows a conventional s-wave behavior in the bulk state.

Abstract:
Analysis based on the energy spectrum of noninteracting bosons shows that, under the circumstance of parallel rotation and magnetic field, charged bosons form a Bose-Einstein condensate because of the lift of the Landau level degeneracy by rotation [\textcolor{blue}{Y. Analysis based on the energy spectrum of noninteracting bosons shows that, under the circumstance of parallel rotation and magnetic field, charged bosons form a Bose-Einstein condensate because of the lift of the Landau level degeneracy by rotation [\textcolor{blue}{Y. Liu and I. Zahed, Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf120}, 032001 (2018)}]. In this work, we study the interaction effect on the ground state of this Bose-Einstein condensate of charged bosons from the viewpoint of spontaneous symmetry breaking. We employ a minimal model for charged bosons with repulsive self-interaction. We find that the ground state of such a Bose-Einstein condensate is a supergiant quantum vortex, i.e., a quantized vortex with a large circulation. The size of the vortex is as large as the system size. The low-energy dispersion of the excitation spectra exhibits quadratic behavior, which is an anisotropic realization of the type-II Goldstone boson. Our study may give some implications to off-central relativistic heavy ion collisions, where large vorticity and magnetic fields can be generated.

We report $^{121/123}$Sb nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) and $^{51}$V nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements on kagome metal CsV$_3$Sb$_5$ with $T_{\rm c}=2.5$ K. Both $^{51}$V NMR spectra and $^{121/123}$Sb NQR spectra split after a charge density wave (CDW) transition, which demonstrates a commensurate CDW state. The coexistence of the high temperature phase and the CDW phase between $91$ K and $94$ K manifests that it is a first order phase transition. At low temperature, electric-field-gradient fluctuations diminish and magnetic fluctuations become dominant. Superconductivity emerges in the charge order state. Knight shift decreases and $1/T_{1}T$ shows a Hebel--Slichter coherence peak just below $T_{\rm c}$, indicating that CsV$_3$Sb$_5$ is an s-wave superconductor.

We report structural and physical properties of the single crystalline ${\mathrm{Ca}}{\mathrm{Mn}}_{2}{\mathrm{P}}_{2}$. The X-ray diffraction(XRD) results show that ${\mathrm{Ca}}{\mathrm{Mn}}_{2}{\mathrm{P}}_{2}$ adopts the trigonal ${\mathrm{Ca}}{\mathrm{Al}}_{2}{\mathrm{Si}}_{2}$-type structure. Temperature dependent electrical resistivity $ρ(T)$ measurements indicate an insulating ground state for ${\mathrm{Ca}}{\mathrm{Mn}}_{2}{\mathrm{P}}_{2}$ with activation energies of 40 meV and 0.64 meV for two distinct regions, respectively. Magnetization measurements show no apparent magnetic phase transition under 400 K. Different from other ${\mathrm{A}}{\mathrm{Mn}}_{2}{\mathrm{Pn}}_{2}$ (A = Ca, Sr, and Ba, and Pn = P, As, and Sb) compounds with the same structure, heat capacity $C_{\mathrm{p}}(T)$ and $ρ(T)$ reveal that ${\mathrm{Ca}}{\mathrm{Mn}}_{2}{\mathrm{P}}_{2}$ has a first-order transition at $T$ = 69.5 K and the transition temperature shifts to high temperature upon increasing pressure. The emergence of plenty of new Raman modes below the transition, clearly suggests a change in symmetry accompanying the transition. The combination of the structural, transport, thermal and magnetic measurements, points to an unusual origin of the transition.

We study the current-driven domain wall (DW) motion in cylindrical nanowires using micromagnetic simulations by implementing the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation with nonlocal spin-transfer torque in a finite difference micromagnetic package. We find that in the presence of DW Gaussian wave packets (spin waves) will be generated when the charge current is applied to the system suddenly. And this effect is excluded when using the local spin-transfer torque. The existence of spin waves emission indicates that transverse domain walls can not move arbitrarily fast in cylindrical nanowires although they are free from the Walker limit. We establish an upper-velocity limit for the DW motion by analyzing the stability of Gaussian wave packets using the local spin-transfer torque. Micromagnetic simulations show that the stable region obtained by using nonlocal spin-transfer torque is smaller than that by using its local counterpart. This limitation is essential for multiple domain walls since the instability of Gaussian wave packets will break the structure of multiple domain walls.
