Recent studies show the possibility of the formation of fairly regular and global spiral patterns in dwarf galaxies (dS type). Our sample of observed dwarf objects of this class also includes galaxies with a central stellar bar. The analysis of the observational data provides a small rotation velocity and a small disk component mass for dS galaxies, which is in poor agreement with the spiral structure generation mechanism in isolated dwarfs due to the development of disk gravitational instability. Numerical simulation of the stellar-gaseous disks self-consistent dynamics imposes restrictions on the stellar disk thickness and the maximum gas rotation velocity, at which the gravitational mechanism of spiral formation can still be effective.

In this work we analyze the sample of about 40 dS-galaxies found by scanning by eye the images of late-type galaxies with $m_B<15^m$ and $M_B>-18^m$ and photometric diameter $D_{25}<12$~kpc. We found that apart from the lower average gas (HI) fraction the other properties of dS-galaxies including the presence of a bar and the isolation index do not differ much from those for dwarf Irr or Sm-types of similar luminosity and rotation velocity (or specific angular momentum). There are practically no dS-galaxies with rotation velocity below 50\,--\,60~km\,sec$^{-1}$.
To check the conditions of formation of spiral structure in dwarf galaxies we carried out a series of N-body/hydrodynamic simulations of low-mass stellar-gaseous discy galaxies by varying the model kinematic parameters of discs, their initial thickness, relative masses and scale lengths of stellar and gaseous disc components, and stellar-to-dark halo masses. We came to conclusion that the gravitational mechanism of spiral structure formation is effective only for thin stellar discs, which are non-typical for dwarf galaxies, and for not too slowly rotating galaxies. Therefore, only a small fraction of dwarf galaxies with stellar/gaseous discs have spiral or ring structures. The thicker stellar disc, the more gas is required for the spiral structure to form. The reduced gas content in many dS-galaxies compared to non-spiral ones may be a result of more efficient star formation due to a higher volume gas density thank to the thinner stellar/gaseous discs.

Using recent observational data, we construct a set of multi-component equilibrium models of the disk of a Milky Way-like galaxy. The disk dynamics are studied using collisionless-gaseous numerical simulations, based on the joined integration of the equations of motion for the collision-less particles using direct integration of gravitational interaction and the gaseous SPH-particles. We find that after approximately one Gyr, a prominent central bar is formed having a semi-axis length of about three kpc, together with a multi-armed spiral pattern represented by a superposition of $m=$ 2-, 3-, and 4-armed spirals. The spiral structure and the bar exist for at least 3 Gyr in our simulations. The existence of the Milky Way bar imposes limitations on the density distributions in the subsystems of the Milky Way galaxy. We find that a bar does not form if the radial scale length of the density distribution in the disk exceeds 2.6 kpc. As expected, the bar formation is also suppressed by a compact massive stellar bulge. We also demonstrate that the maximum value in the rotation curve of the disk of the Milky Way galaxy, as found in its central regions, is explained by non-circular motion due to the presence of a bar and its orientation relative to an observer.

Modern galaxy formation theory suggests that the misalignment between stellar and gaseous components usually results from an external gas accretion and/or interaction with other galaxies. The extreme case of the kinematic misalignment is demonstrated by so-called galaxies with counterrotation that possess two distinct components rotating in opposite directions with respect to each other. We provide an in-deep analysis of galaxies with counterrotation from IllustrisTNG100 cosmological simulations. We have found $25$ galaxies with substantial stellar counterrotation in the stellar mass range of $2\times10^{9}-3\times10^{10}$~\Msun. In our sample the stellar counterrotation is a result of an external gas infall happened $\approx 2-8$~Gyr ago. The infall leads to the initial removal of pre-existing gas, which is captured and mixed together with the infalling component. The gas mixture ends up in the counterrotating gaseous disc. We show that $\approx 90\%$ of the stellar counterrotation formed in-situ, in the counterrotating gas. During the early phases of the infall, gas can be found in inclined extended and rather thin disc-like structures, and in some galaxies they are similar to (nearly-)~polar disc or ring-like structures. We discuss a possible link between the gas infall, AGN activity and the formation of misaligned components. In particular, we suggest that the AGN activity does not cause the counterrotation, although it is efficiently triggered by the retrograde gas infall, and it correlates well with the misaligned component appearance. We also find evidence of the stellar disc heating visible as an increase of the vertical-to-radial velocity dispersion ratio above unity in both co- and counterrotating components, which implies the importance of the kinematical misalignment in sha** the velocity ellipsoids in disc galaxies.

Using observational data on the kinematical properties and density distributions of the subsystems of the Milky Way galaxy, we construct a set of multi-component equilibrium models of its disk. The dynamics of the disk is studied numerically using collisionless-gaseous numerical simulations. After approximately one Gyr, a prominent central bar is formed with a semi-axis of about three kiloparsecs. Outside the central regions, a multi-armed spiral pattern develops, which can be characterized by the superposition of m=2, 3 and 4-armed spiral patterns. The spiral structure and the bar exist for at least 3 Gyr in our simulations. The presence of the bar in the disk of the MilkyWay galaxy imposes rather strict limitations on the density distributions in the subsystems of the MilkyWay galaxy. We find that bar does not form if the radial scale length of the surface density distribution of the disk is more than 2.6 kpc. Analogously, the formation of bar is suppressed in the Milky Way disk in models with a massive and compact stellar bulge. If future GAIA observations confirm the existence of the three-four armed spiral pattern in the disk of the MilkyWay, this will prove the long-term existence of spiral patterns in galactic disks.

In this paper we introduce a new method for analysing Milky Way phase-space which allows us to reveal the imprint left by the Milky Way bar and spiral arms on the stars with full phase-space data in Gaia Data Release 2. The unprecedented quality and extended spatial coverage of these data enable us to discover six prominent stellar density structures in the disc to a distance of 5 kpc from the Sun. Four of these structures correspond to the spiral arms detected previously in the gas and young stars (Scutum-Centaurus, Sagittarius, Local and Perseus). The remaining two are associated with the main resonances of the Milky Way bar where corotation is placed at around 6.2 kpc and the outer Lindblad resonance beyond the Solar radius, at around 9 kpc. For the first time we provide evidence of the imprint left by spiral arms and resonances in the stellar densities not relying on a specific tracer, through enhancing the signatures left by these asymmetries. Our method offers new avenues for studying how the stellar populations in our Galaxy are shaped.

Parallel implementation features of self-gravitating gas dynamics modeling on multiple GPUs are considered applying the GPU-Direct technology. The parallel algorithm for solving of the self-gravitating gas dynamics problem based on hybrid OpenMP-CUDA parallel programming model has been described in detail. The gas-dynamic forces are calculated by the modified SPH-method (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) while the N-body problem gravitational interaction is obtained by the direct method (so-called Particle-Particle algorithm). The key factor in the SPH-method performance is creation of the neighbor lists of the particles which contribute into the gas-dynamic forces calculation. Our implementation is based on hierarchical grid sorting method using a cascading algorithm for parallel computations of partial sums at CUDA block. The parallelization efficiency of the algorithm for various GPUs of the Nvidia Tesla line (K20, K40, K80) is studied in the framework of galactic' gaseous halos collisions models by the SPH-method.

This paper focuses on the parallel implementation of a direct $N$-body method~(particle-particle algorithm) and the application of multiple GPUs for galactic dynamics simulations. Application of a hybrid OpenMP-CUDA technology is considered for models with a number of particles $N \sim 10^5 ÷10^7$. By means of $N$-body simulations of gravitationally unstable stellar galactic we have investigated the algorithms parallelization efficiency for various Nvidia Tesla graphics processors~(K20, K40, K80). Particular attention was paid to the parallel performance of simulations and accuracy of the numerical solution by comparing single and double floating-point precisions~(SP and DP). We showed that the double-precision simulations are slower by a factor of~$1.7$ than the single-precision runs performed on Nvidia Tesla K-Series processors. We also claim that application of the single-precision operations leads to incorrect result in the evolution of the non-axisymmetric gravitating $N$-body systems. In particular, it leads to significant quantitative and even qualitative distortions in the galactic disk evolution. For instance, after $10^4$ integration time steps for the single-precision numbers the total energy, momentum, and angular momentum of a system with $N = 2^{20}$ conserve with accuracy of $10^{-3}$, $10^{-2}$ and $10^{-3}$ respectively, in comparison to the double-precision simulations these values are $10^{-5}$, $10^{-15}$ and $10^{-13}$, respectively. Our estimations evidence in favour of usage of the second-order accuracy schemes with double-precision numbers since it is more efficient than in the fourth-order schemes with single-precision numbers.

We study numerically large-scale magnetic field evolution and its enhancement in gaseous disks of spiral galaxies. We consider a set of models with the various spiral pattern parameters and the initial magnetic field strength with taking into account gas self-gravity and cooling/heating. In agreement with previous studies, we find out that galactic magnetic field is mostly aligned with gaseous structures, however small-scale gaseous structures (spurs and clumps) are more chaotic than the magnetic field structure. In spiral arms magnetic field strongly coexists with the gas distribution, in the inter-arm region we see filamentary magnetic field structure. Simulations reveal the presence of the small-scale irregularities of the magnetic field as well as the reversal of magnetic field at the outer edge of the large-scale spurs. We provide evidences that the magnetic field in the spiral arms has a stronger mean-field component, and there is a clear inverse correlation between gas density and plasma-beta parameter, compared to the rest of the disk with a more turbulent component of the field and an absence of correlation between gas density and plasma-beta. We show the mean field growth up to 3-10$μG$ in the cold gas during several rotation periods (500-800 Myr), whereas ratio between azimuthal and radial field is equal to 4/1. Mean field strength increases by a factor of 1.5-2.5 for models with various spiral pattern parameters. Random magnetic field component can reach up to 25 % from the total strength. By making an analysis of the time-depended evolution of radial Poynting flux we point out that the magnetic field strength is enhanced stronger at the galactic outskirts which is due to the radial transfer of magnetic energy by the spiral arms pushing the magnetic field outward. Our results also support the presence of sufficient conditions for development of MRI at distances >11 kpc.

Using $N$-body simulations ($N\sim 10^6 - 10^7$), we examine how a non-axisymmetric dark halo affects the dynamical evolution of the structure in collisionless (stellar) discs. We demonstrate how the model parameters such as mass of the halo, initial conditions in the disc and the halo axes ratio affect morphology and kinematics of the stellar discs. We show that a non-axisymmetric halo can generate a large-scale spiral density pattern in the embedded stellar disc. The pattern is observed in the disc for many periods of its revolution, even if the disc is gravitationally over-stable. The growth of the spiral arms is not accompanied by significant dynamical heating of the disc, irrelevant to its initial parameters. We also investigate transformation of the dark halo's shape driven by the long-lived spiral pattern in the disc . We show that the analysis of the velocity field in the stellar disc and in the spiral pattern gives us a possibility to figure out the spatial orientation of the triaxial-shaped dark halo and to measure the triaxiality.

We used linear stability analysis to find the waveguide-resonance instability of internal gravity waves due to the superreflection of these waves from the jet boundary. In this part of the paper, we perform nonlinear numerical 2D and 3D simulations of the development of this instability. We show that the shocks produced by this instability in the ambient medium of the jet are localized inside a cone with a large opening angle and are capable of producing features that are morphologically similar to those observed in galaxies with active nuclei (NGC 5252 for example).

We discuss causes of the formation of the observed kinematics and morphology of cones of ionized matter in the neighborhood of the nuclei of Seyfert galaxies. The results of linear stability analysis of an optically thin conic jet where radiation cooling and gravity play an important part are reported. The allowance for radiation cooling is shown to result in strong dam** of all acoustic modes and to have insignificant effect on unstable surface Kelvin--Helmholtz modes. In the case of waveguide--resonance internal gravity modes radiative cooling suppresses completely the instability of waves propagating away from the ejection source and, vice versa, reduces substantially the growth time scale of unstable sourceward propagating modes. The results obtained can be used to study ionization cones in Seyfert galaxies with radio jets. In particular, our analysis shows that surface Kelvin--Helmholtz modes and volume harmonics are capable of producing regular features observed in optical emission-line images of such galaxies.

The question of the limits of applicability of the thin disk model (MTD) is also investigated. The insignificant distinctions in the dispersion properties of MTD and three-dimensional model appear for wave numbers k<(1-3)/h (h is the half-thickness of a disk).
