Abstract:
We present the first CCD observations of an eclipsing binary, ZTFJ015003.88+534734.1, which is a member in the open star cluster UBC 188. The observations were taken by the 1.88 m telescope at the Kottamia Astronomical Observatory (KAO) in SDSS griz bands. The latest version of the Wilson- Devinney (W-D) code was employed for photometric analysis and light curve modeling of the eclipsing binary. The results indicate that the binary system is in an over-contact configuration. The mass of the primary star (M1) is determined to be 1.293 Msun, and the mass of the secondary star (M2) is directly derived from the system's estimated mass ratio (q= M2/M1) as 0.340 times the solar mass (Msun). We investigated the color-magnitude diagram and the membership probability of the open cluster UBC 188 using the Gaia DR3 data. We determined the membership probability of the eclipsing binary ZTFJ015003.88+534734.1 using the pyUPMASK algorithm and found that its membership probability is one.

We present a detailed photometric and kinematical analysis of poorly studied open cluster IC 1434 using CCD VRI, APASS, and Gaia DR2 database for the first time. BY determining the membership probability of stars, we identified the 238 most probable members with a probability higher than 60% by using proper motion and parallax data as taken from the Gaia DR2 catalog. The mean proper motion of the cluster is obtained as emu_x= - 3.89 +/- 0.19 and emu_y= - 3.34 +/- 0.19 mas/yr in both the directions of right ascension and declination. The radial distribution of member stars provides cluster extent as 7.6 arcmin. We have estimated the interstellar reddening (E(B-V)) as 0.34 mag using the transformation equations from literature. We obtained the values of cluster age and distance are 631 +/- 73 Myr and 3.2 +/- 0.1 Kpc.

The optical UBVRI photometric analysis has been established using SLOAN DIGITAL SKY SURVEY (SDSS database) in order to estimate the astrophysical parameters of poorly studied open star cluster IC 2156. The results of the present study are compared with a previous one of ours, which relied on the 2MASS JHK infrared photometry. The stellar density distributions and color-magnitude diagrams of the cluster are used to determine the geometrical structure; limited radius, core and tidal radii, the distances from the Sun, from the Galactic plane and from the Galactic center. Also, the main photometric parameters; age, distance modulus, color excesses, membership, total mass, luminosity, mass functions and relaxation time; have been estimated.

Abstract:
We present 776 truly physical galaxy pairs, 569 of them are close pairs and 208 false pairs from Karachentsev (1972) and Reduzzi & Rampazzo (1995) catalogues, which contains 1012 galaxy pairs. Also we carried out star formation activity through the far-infrared emission (FIR) in physical (truly) interacting galaxies in some galaxy pairs and compared them with projection (optical) interacting galax…

We present 776 truly physical galaxy pairs, 569 of them are close pairs and 208 false pairs from Karachentsev (1972) and Reduzzi & Rampazzo (1995) catalogues, which contains 1012 galaxy pairs. Also we carried out star formation activity through the far-infrared emission (FIR) in physical (truly) interacting galaxies in some galaxy pairs and compared them with projection (optical) interacting galaxy pairs. We focused on the triggering of star formation by interactions and analyzed the enhancement of star formation activity in terms of truly physical galaxy pairs. The large fraction of star formation activity is probably due to the activity in the exchange of matter between the truly companions. The star formation rate (SFR) of galaxies in truly galaxy pairs is found to be more enhanced than the apparent pairs.
