The Principle of Global Relativity
Abstract: We describe the non-minimal Standard Model, consisting of minimalistic extensions of the Standard Model, which for all we know is the theory of the universe, able to describe all of the universe from the beginning of time. Extensions discussed are an extra neutrino and a new Higgs model. We introduce the principle of global relativity and discuss how the theory can be largely derived from this pri… ▽ More

Physics after the discovery of the Higgs boson
Abstract: I show that with the discovery of the Higgs boson we have entered a new phase of our understanding of nature. This leads us towards a paradigm shift in the search for possible new physics, away from major extensions like supersymmetry towards minimalistic extensions, that largely preserve the structure of the standard model. To discover such new physics, precision may be more important than energy… ▽ More

Abstract: We consider a model for cold dark matter, which combines a real scalar singlet and a real scalar $SU(2)_L$ triplet field, both of which are residing in the odd representation of a global $Z_2$ symmetry. Abstract: The parameter space of the simplest extension of the standard model, is studied in the light of the 125 GeV Higgs boson discovery. Abstract: We describe a simple extension of the standard model, containing a scalar singlet and a triplet fermion. Natural $Z'$ model with an inverse seesaw and leptonic dark matter
Abstract: We consider a model for a Z'-boson coupled only to baryon minus lepton number and hypercharge. Besides the usual right-handed neutrinos, we add a pair of fermions with a fractional lepton charge, which we therefore call leptinos. One of the leptinos is taken to be odd under an additional Z_2 charge, the other even. This allows for a natural (inverse) seesaw mechanism for neutrino masses. The odd l… ▽ More

Estimates of non-perturbative uncertainties are made on the ρ-parameter using different schemes of dealing with the Landau-pole. For the physical top-quark mass the effects are negligible.

Abstract: A general relation for the total angular momentum of a regular solution of the Einstein-Yang-Mills-Higgs equations is derived. Two different physical configurations, rotating dyons and rotating magnetic dipoles are discussed as particular cases. The issue of rotating pure Einstein-Yang-Mills regular solutions is addressed as well. Based on the results, we conjecture the absence of rotating regul… ▽ More

New hairy black holes with negative cosmological constant
Abstract: Black hole solutions with nonspherical event horizon topology are shown to exist in an Einstein-Yang-Mills theory with negative cosmological constant. The main characteristics of the solutions are presented and differences with respect to the spherically symmetric case are studied. The stability of these configurations is also addressed.

Second order contributions to elastic large-angle Bhabha scattering
Abstract: We derive the coefficient of the O(alpha^2 log(s/m_e^2)) fixed order contribution to elastic large-angle Bhabha scattering. We adapt the classification of infrared divergences, that was recently developed within dimensional regularization, and apply it to the regularization scheme with a massive photon and electron.

Gravitating sphalerons and sphaleron black holes in asymptotically anti-de Sitter spacetime
Abstract: Numerical arguments are presented for the existence of spherically symmetric regular and black hole solutions of the EYMH equations with a negative cosmological constant. These solutions approach asymptotically the anti-de Sitter spacetime. The main properties of the solutions and the differences with respect to the asymptotically flat case are discussed. The instability of the gravitating sphal… ▽ More

Three-Loop Leading Top Mass Contributions to the rho Parameter
Abstract: We present analytical results for the leading contributions of the top quark to the electroweak rho parameter at order GF^3 Mt^6 and GF^2 Mt^4 alpha_s. The Higgs boson and the gauge bosons are taken to be massless in this limit. The correction of order GF^3 Mt^6 is found to be sizeable in comparison to the the leading two-loop GF^2 Mt^4 correction, however it is much smaller than the subleading… ▽ More

A Note on Large Extra Dimensions
Abstract: We study corrections to the photon-propagator in a recently proposed model, where gravity lives in 4+n dimensions and Standard Model fields in 4 dimensions. We find a correction to the form factor of the photon that can be constrained by QED tests.

Regular and black-hole solutions of the Einstein-Yang-Mills-Higgs equations; the case of nonminimal coupling
Abstract: Regular and black-hole solutions of the spontaneously broken Einstein-Yang-Mills-Higgs theory with nonminimal coupling to gravity are shown to exist. The main characteristics of the solutions are presented and differences with respect to the minimally coupled case are studied. Since negative energy densities are found to be possible, traversable wormhole solutions might exist. We prove that they… ▽ More

Report of the Beyond the Standard Model Working Group of the 1999 UK Phenomenology Workshop on Collider Physics (Durham)
Abstract: The Beyond the Standard Model Working Group discussed a variety of topics relating to exotic searches at current and future colliders, and the phenomenology of current models beyond the Standard Model. For example, various supersymmetric (SUSY) and extra dimensions search possibilities and constraints are presented. Fine-tuning implications of SUSY searches are derived. The implications of Higgs… ▽ More
