A possible trial beyond the conventional random phase approximation for the su(2)-Lipkin model including the case of non-closed shell system
Abstract: Concerning the su(2)-Lipkin model, the calculation of the excitation energy to the 1st excited-state gives rise to the following fact: The two results based on the exact treatment and the conventional random phase approximation (RPA) are in unexpected disagreement. A quark-meson coupling model based on Bogoliubov's model of the nucleon
Abstract: The quark-meson coupling model due to Guichon is formulated on the basis of the independent quark model of the nucleon proposed by Bogoliubov and is applied to a phenomenological description of symmetric nuclear matter. The model predicts, at saturation density, the compressibility $K=249$ MeV and the quark effective mass $m_q^*= 249.1$ MeV, {the effective nucleon mass being $M^*=747.3$ MeV}. The… ▽ More

Thermal resonating Hartree-Bogoliubov theory based on the projection method
Abstract: We propose a rigorous thermal resonating mean-field theory (Res-MFT). A state is approximated by superposition of multiple MF wavefunctions (WFs) composed of non-orthogonal Hartree-Bogoliubov (HB) WFs. We adopt a Res-HB subspace spanned by Res-HB ground and excited states. A partition function (PF) in a SO(2N) coherent state representation |g> (N:Number of single-particle states) is expressed as T… ▽ More

Exact Canonically Conjugate Momenta to Quadrupole-Type Collective Coordinates and Derivation of Nuclear Quadrupole-Type Collective Hamiltonian
Abstract: Exact canonically conjugate momenta Pi_{2mu} in quadrupole nuclear collective motions are proposed. The basic idea lies in the introduction of a discrete integral equation for the strict definition of canonically conjugate momenta to collective variables phi_{2mu}. A part of our collective Hamiltonian, the Pi_{2mu}-dependence of the kinetic part of the Hamiltonian, is given exactly. Further, phi_{… ▽ More

A Pseudo su(1,1)-Algebraic Deformation of the Cooper-Pair in the su(2)-Algebraic Many-Fermion Model
Abstract: A pseudo su(1,1)-algebra is formulated as a possible deformation of the Cooper-pair in the su(2)-algebraic many-fermion system. With the aid of this algebra, it is possible to describe behavior of individual fermions which are generated as the result of interaction with the external environment. The form presented in this paper is a generalization of a certain simple case developed recently by the… ▽ More

The 1D Heisenberg antiferromagnet model by the variation after projection method
Abstract: The 4 sites and 8 sites 1D anti-ferromagnetic Heisenberg chains in the Jordan-Wigner representation are investigated within the standard Hartree-Fock and RPA approaches, both in the symmetry unbroken and in the symmetry broken phases. A translation invariant groundstate, obtained by the projection method as a linear combination of a symmetry-broken HF state and its image under reflection, is also… ▽ More

Interplay between Spin Polarization and Color Superconductivity in High Density Quark Matter
Abstract: Here, it is suggested that a four-point interaction of the tensor type may lead to spin polarization in quark matter at high density. It is found that the two-flavor superconducting phase and the spin polarized phase correspond to distinct local minima of a certain generalized thermodynamical potential. It follows that the transition from one to the other phase occurs passing through true minima w… ▽ More

An attempt at a resonating mean-field theoretical description of thermal behavior of two-gap superconductivity
Abstract: The resonating mean-field theory (Res-MFT) has been applied and shown to effectively describe two-gap superconductivity (SC). Particularly at T=0 using a suitable chemical potential, the two-gap SC in MgB2 has been well described by the Res-Hartree-Bogoliubov theory (Res-HBT). The Res-HB ground state generated with HB wave functions almost exhausts the ground-state correlation energy in all the co… ▽ More
