$L^p$ integrability of functions with Fourier support on a smooth space curve
Abstract: We prove that if $f\in L^p(\mathbb{R}^k)$ with $p<(k^2+k+2)/2$ satisfies that $\widehat{f}$ is supported on a small perturbation of the moment curve in $\mathbb{R}^k$, then $f$ is identically zero. This improves the more general result of Agranovsky and Narayanan, and the exponents are sharp in all dimensions. Weighted Davis inequalities for martingale square functions

Improved surrogate bi-parameter maximum principle
Abstract: Logarithmic potentials and many other potentials satisfy maximum principle. The dyadic version of logarithmic potential can be easily introduced, it lives on dyadic tree and also satisfies maximum principle. But its analog on bi-tree does not have this property. Weighted and vector-valued variational estimates for ergodic averages
Abstract: We prove weighted and vector-valued variational estimates for ergodic averages on $\mathbb{R}^d$. The weighted square function estimate relating ergodic averages to the dyadic martingale is obtained using an $\ell^r$ version of a reverse Hölder inequality for variation seminorms.

Variation estimates for averages along primes and polynomials
Abstract: We prove $q$-variation estimates, $q>2$, on $\ell^{p}$ spaces for averages along primes (with $1<p<\infty$) and polynomials (with $\big| \frac1p - \frac12 \big| < \frac{1}{2(d+1)}$, where $d$ is the degree of the polynomial). This improves the pointwise ergodic theorems for these averages in the corresponding ranges of $L^{p}$ spaces.

Finite Products Sets and Minimally Almost Periodic Groups
Abstract: We construct, in locally compact, second countable, amenable groups, sets with large density that fail to have certain combinatorial properties. For the property of being a shift of a set of measurable recurrence we show that this is possible when the group does not have cocompact von Neumann kernel. For the stronger property of being piecewise-syndetic we show that this is always possible. For… ▽ More

Lower bound in the Roth theorem for amenable groups
Abstract: Let $T_1$, $T_2$ be two commuting probability measure-preserving actions of a countable amenable group such that the group spanned by these actions acts ergodically. We show that $μ(A\cap T_1^g A\cap T_1^g T_2^g A) > μ(A)^4-ε$ on a syndetic set for any measurable set $A$ and any $ε>0$. The proof uses the concept of a sated system introduced by Austin.

Ergodic theorems for polynomials in nilpotent groups
Abstract: The principal results proved in this expository thesis are the IP polynomial Szemerédi theorem for nilpotent groups and the multiple term return times theorem with nilsequence weights. It also contains extensions of the convergence theorem for nilpotent polynomial multiple ergodic averages and the return times theorem to locally compact second countable amenable groups.

Multiple recurrence for non-commuting transformations along rationally independent polynomials
Abstract: We prove a multiple recurrence result for arbitrary measure-preserving transformations along polynomials in two variables of the form $m+p_i(n)$, with rationally independent $p_i$'s with zero constant term. This is in contrast to the single variable case, in which even double recurrence fails unless the transformations generate a virtually nilpotent group. The proof involves reduction to nilfactor… ▽ More

Cube spaces and the multiple term return times theorem
Abstract: We give a new proof of Rudolph's multiple term return times theorem based on Host-Kra structure theory. Our approach provides characteristic factors for all terms, works for arbitrary tempered Følner sequences and also yields a multiple term Wiener-Wintner-type return times theorem for nilsequences.
