Image restoration is a low-level vision task, most CNN methods are designed as a black box, lacking transparency and internal aesthetics. Although some methods combining traditional optimization algorithms with DNNs have been proposed, they all have some limitations. In this paper, we propose a three-granularity memory layer and contrast learning named MemoryNet, specifically, dividing the samples into positive, negative, and actual three samples for contrastive learning, where the memory layer is able to preserve the deep features of the image and the contrastive learning converges the learned features to balance. Experiments on Derain/Deshadow/Deblur task demonstrate that these methods are effective in improving restoration performance. In addition, this paper's model obtains significant PSNR, SSIM gain on three datasets with different degradation types, which is a strong proof that the recovered images are perceptually realistic. Abstract:

In this paper, we propose an end-to-end SpA-Former to recover a shadow-free image from a single shaded image. Unlike traditional methods that require two steps for shadow detection and then shadow removal, the SpA-Former unifies these steps into one, which is a one-stage network capable of directly learning the map** function between shadows and no shadows, it does not require a separate shadow detection. Thus, SpA-former is adaptable to real image de-shadowing for shadows projected on different semantic regions. SpA-Former consists of transformer layer and a series of joint Fourier transform residual blocks and two-wheel joint spatial attention. The network in this paper is able to handle the task while achieving a very fast processing efficiency.

Quantum weak measurement has attracted much interest recently [J. Dressel et al., Rev. Mod. Phys. 86, 307 (2014)] because it could amplify some weak signals and provide a technique to observe nonclassical phenomena. Here, we apply this technique to study the interaction between the free atoms and the vacuum in a cavity. Due to the gradient field in the vacuum cavity, the external orbital motions and the internal electronic states of atoms can be weakly coupled via the atom-field electric-dipole interaction. We show that, within the properly postselected internal states, the weak atom-vacuum interaction could generate a large change to the external motions of atoms due to the postselection-induced weak values.

Owing to a number of reasons, the deployment of encryption solutions are beginning to be ubiquitous at both organizational and individual levels. The most emphasized reason is the necessity to ensure confidentiality of privileged information. Unfortunately, it is also popular as cyber-criminals' escape route from the grasp of digital forensic investigations. The direct encryption of data or indirect encryption of storage devices, more often than not, prevents access to such information contained therein. This consequently leaves the forensics investigation team, and subsequently the prosecution, little or no evidence to work with, in sixty percent of such cases. However, it is unthinkable to jeopardize the successes brought by encryption technology to information security, in favour of digital forensics technology. This paper examines what data encryption contributes to information security, and then highlights its contributions to digital forensics of disk drives. The paper also discusses the available ways and tools, in digital forensics, to get around the problems constituted by encryption. A particular attention is paid to the Truecrypt encryption solution to illustrate ideas being discussed. It then compares encryption's contributions in both realms, to justify the need for introduction of new technologies to forensically defeat data encryption as the only solution, whilst maintaining the privacy goal of users.

Using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we studied the electronic structure of NaFe$_{1-x}$Co$_x$As from an optimally doped superconducting compound ($x=0.028$) to a heavily overdoped non-superconducting one ($x=0.109$). Using angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we studied the electronic structure of NaFe$_{1-x}$Co$_x$As from an optimally doped superconducting compound ($x=0.028$) to a heavily overdoped non-superconducting one ($x=0.109$). Similar to the case of "122" type iron pnictides, our data suggest that Co dopant in NaFe$_{1-x}$Co$_x$As supplies extra charge carriers and shifts the Fermi level accordingly. In the $x=0.109$ compound, the hole-like bands around the zone center $Γ$ move to deeper binding energies and an electron pocket appears instead. The overall band renormalization remains basically the same throughout the do** range we studied, suggesting that the local magnetic/electronic correlations are not affected by carrier do**. We speculate that a balance between itinerant properties of mobile carriers and local interactions may play an important role for the superconductivity.

Quasiparticle interference induced by cobalt adatoms on the surface of the topological insulator Bi$_{2}$Se$_{3}$ is studied by scanning tunneling microscopy, angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and X-ray magnetic circular dichroism. It is found that Co atoms are selectively adsorbed on top of Se sites and act as strong scatterers at the surface, generating anisotropic standing waves. A long-range magnetic order is found to be absent, and the surface state Dirac cone remains gapless. The anisotropy of the standing wave is ascribed to the heavily warped iso-energy contour of unoccupied states, where the scattering is allowed due to a non-zero out-of-plane spin.

The effect of the anti-rotating terms on the short-time evolution and the quantum Zeno (QZE) and anti-Zeno (AQZE) effects is studied for a two-level system coupled to a bosonic environment. A unitary transformation and perturbation theory are used to obtain the electron self-energy, energy shift and the enhanced QZE or the AQZE, simultaneously. The calculated Zeno time depends on the atomic transition frequency sensitively. When the atomic transition frequency is smaller than the central frequency of the spectrum of boson environment, the Zeno time is prolonged and the anti-rotating terms enhance the QZE; when it is larger than that the Zeno time is reduced and the anti-rotating terms enhance the AQZE.
