Abstract: Based on a data sample of $(448.1\pm2.9)\times10^6$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the branching fraction of $ψ(3686)\rightarrowΛ\barΛω$ is measured to be $\rm (3.30\pm0.34(stat.)\pm0.29(syst.))\times10^{-5}$ for the first time. First Observation of the Semileptonic Decay $Λ_c^+\rightarrow pK^- e^+ν_e$

Abstract: Using $4.5~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data samples collected at the center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.600~GeV to 4.699~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, a first study of the semileptonic decays $Λ_c^+\rightarrow pK^-e^+ν_e$, $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λ(1520) e^+ν_e$ and $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λ(1405) e^+ν_e$ is performed. The $Λ_c^+\rightarrow pK^-e^+ν_e$ decay is observ… ▽ More Using $4.5~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data samples collected at the center-of-mass energies ranging from 4.600~GeV to 4.699~GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, a first study of the semileptonic decays $Λ_c^+\rightarrow pK^-e^+ν_e$, $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λ(1520) e^+ν_e$ and $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λ(1405) e^+ν_e$ is performed. The $Λ_c^+\rightarrow pK^-e^+ν_e$ decay is observed with a significance of $8.2σ$ and the branching fraction is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(Λ_c^+\rightarrow pK^- e^+ν_e)=(0.88\pm0.17_{\rm stat.}\pm0.07_{\rm syst.})\times 10^{-3}$. We also report evidence of $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λ(1520)e^+ν_e$ and $Λ_c^+\rightarrow Λ(1405)e^+ν_e$ with significances of $3.3σ$ and $3.2σ$, respectively, and measure $\mathcal B(Λ^+_c\rightarrow Λ(1520)e^+ν_e)=(1.02\pm0.52_{\rm stat.}\pm0.11_{\rm syst.})\times10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal B(Λ^+_c\rightarrow Λ(1405)[\rightarrow pK^-]e^+ν_e)=(0.42\pm0.19_{\rm stat.}\pm0.04_{\rm syst.})\times10^{-3}$. Combining these with the inclusive semileptonic $Λ_c^+$ branching fraction measured by BESIII, the relative fraction is determined to be $[\mathcal{B}(Λ_c^+\rightarrow pK^-e^+ν_e)/\mathcal{B}(Λ_c^+\rightarrow X e^+ν_e)]=(2.1\pm0.4_{\rm stat.}\pm0.2_{\rm syst.})\%$, which provides a clear confirmation that semileptonic $Λ_c^+$ decays are not saturated by the $Λ\ell^+ν_{\ell}$ final state. △ Less

After taking the world-average branching fractions of the reference decay channels, the branching fractions $\mathcal{B}(Λ_c^+ \rightarrow Σ^0 K^+)$ and $\mathcal{B}(Λ_{c}^{+} \rightarrow Σ^+ K_{S}^0)$ are determined to be $(4.7\pm 0.9(\mathrm{stat.})\pm 0.1(\mathrm{syst.}) \pm 0.3(\mathrm{ref.}))\times10^{-4}$ and $(4.8\pm 1.4(\mathrm{stat.})\pm 0.2(\mathrm{syst.}) \pm 0.3(\mathrm{ref.}))\times10^{-4}$, respectively. Measurement of the total and leptonic decay widths of the $J/ψ$ resonance with an energy scan method at BESIII

Abstract: Using $e^+e^-$ annihilation data sets collected with the BESIII detector, we measure the cross sections of the processes $e^+e^- \to e^+e^-$ and $e^+e^- \to μ^+μ^-$ at fifteen center-of-mass energy points in the vicinity of the $J/ψ$ resonance. By a simultaneous fit to the measured, center-of-mass energy dependent cross sections of the two processes, the combined quantities… ▽ More Using $e^+e^-$ annihilation data sets collected with the BESIII detector, we measure the cross sections of the processes $e^+e^- \to e^+e^-$ and $e^+e^- \to μ^+μ^-$ at fifteen center-of-mass energy points in the vicinity of the $J/ψ$ resonance. By a simultaneous fit to the measured, center-of-mass energy dependent cross sections of the two processes, the combined quantities $Γ_{ee} Γ_{ee} / Γ_{\rm tot}$ and $Γ_{ee} Γ_{μμ} / Γ_{\rm tot}$ are determined to be ($0.346 \pm 0.009$) and ($0.335 \pm 0.006$) keV, respectively, where $Γ_{ee}$, $Γ_{μμ}$, and $Γ_{\rm tot}$ are the electronic, muonic, and total decay widths of the $J/ψ$ resonance, respectively. Using the resultant $Γ_{ee} Γ_{μμ} / Γ_{\rm tot}$ and $Γ_{ee} Γ_{ee} / Γ_{\rm tot}$, the ratio $Γ_{ee} / Γ_{μμ}$ is calculated to be $1.031 \pm 0.015$, which is consistent with the expectation of lepton universality within about two standard deviations. Assuming lepton universality and using the branching fraction of the $J/ψ$ leptonic decay measured by BESIII in 2013, $Γ_{\rm tot}$ and $Γ_{ll}$ are determined to be ($93.0 \pm 2.1$) and ($5.56 \pm 0.11$) keV, respectively, where $Γ_{ll}$ is the average leptonic decay width of the $J/ψ$ resonance. △ Less

Abstract: The radiative hyperon decay $Λ\to nγ$ is studied using $(10087\pm44)\times 10^6$ $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector operating at BEPCII. Abstract: The hadronic decay $η_c(2S) \to 3(π^+π^-)$ is observed with a statistical significance of 9.3 standard deviations using $(448.1\pm2.9)\times10^6$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The product branching fraction $\mathcal{B}[ψ(3686)\to γη_c(2S)]\times\mathcal{B}[η_c(2S)\to3(π^+π^-)]$ is measured to be $(9.2 \pm 1.0 (\rm stat.) \pm 0.9 (\rm syst.))\times10^{-6}$. Using $\mathcal{B}[ψ(3686)\to γη_c(2S)]=(7.0^{+3.4}_{-2.5})\times10^{-4}$, we obtain $\mathcal{B}[η_c(2S) \to 3(π^+π^-)] = (1.31 \pm 0.15 (\rm stat.) \pm 0.13 (\rm syst.)(^{+0.64}_{-0.47}) (\rm extr))\times10^{-2}$, where the third uncertainty is from $\mathcal{B}[ψ(3686) \to γη_c(2S)]$. We also measure the $χ_{cJ} \to 3(π^+π^-)$ ($J=0, 1, 2$) decays via $ψ(3686) \to γχ_{cJ}$ transitions. Two structures, identified as the $Y(4220)$ and the $Y(4320)$ states, are observed in the energy-dependent cross section with a significance larger than $10σ$. The masses and widths of the two structures are determined to be ($M, Γ$) = ($4221.4\pm1.5\pm2.0$ MeV/$c^{2}$, $41.8\pm2.9\pm2.7$ MeV) and ($M, Γ$) = ($4298\pm12\pm26$ MeV/$c^{2}$, $127\pm17\pm10$ MeV), respectively. A small enhancement around 4.5 GeV with a significance about $3σ$, compatible with the $ψ(4415)$, might also indicate the presence of an additional resonance in the spectrum. The inclusion of this additional contribution in the fit to the cross section affects the resonance parameters of the $Y(4320)$ state. △ Less

Performance of TPC detector prototype integrated with UV laser tracks for the circular collider

To meet the evolving requirements for particle track detector, Time Projection Chamber(TPC) detector prototype integrated with a UV laser track system was developed for the main track detector at Circular Electron Positron Collider(CEPC). This prototype consists of 6 horizontal laser tracks around TPC detector chamber, a fast electronics readout of 1280 channels, a GEM detector with $200\times 200\,mm^2$ active area, and the DAQ system. The hit resolution, dE/dx resolution and drift velocity were studied by measuring and analyzing using the TPC prototype and UV laser tracks. The dE/dx resolution of the prototype was measured to be $(8.9\pm0.4)\,\%$. Extrapolating this to CEPC TPC with 220 layers and longer track, the resolution was estimated to be $(3.36\pm0.26)\,\%$. Measurements of the absolute branching fractions of hadronic $D$-meson decays involving kaons and pions

Abstract: By analyzing an electron-positron collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $2.93\,\rm fb^{-1}$ taken at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, we obtain for the first time the absolute branching fractions for seven $D^0$ and $D^+$ hadronic decay modes and search for the hadronic decay $D^0\to K^0_S K^0_Sπ^0$ with much improved sensitivity. The re… ▽ More By analyzing an electron-positron collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $2.93\,\rm fb^{-1}$ taken at the center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, we obtain for the first time the absolute branching fractions for seven $D^0$ and $D^+$ hadronic decay modes and search for the hadronic decay $D^0\to K^0_S K^0_Sπ^0$ with much improved sensitivity. Abstract: From December 2019 to June 2021, the BESIII experiment collected about 5.85 fb$^{-1}$ of data at center-of-mass energies between 4.61 GeV and 4.95 GeV. This is the highest collision energy BEPCII has reached so far. The accumulated $e^+e^-$ annihilation data samples are useful for studying charmonium(-like) states and charmed-hadron decays. By adopting a novel method of analyzing the production of… ▽ More From December 2019 to June 2021, the BESIII experiment collected about 5.85 fb$^{-1}$ of data at center-of-mass energies between 4.61 GeV and 4.95 GeV. This is the highest collision energy BEPCII has reached so far. The accumulated $e^+e^-$ annihilation data samples are useful for studying charmonium(-like) states and charmed-hadron decays. By adopting a novel method of analyzing the production of $Λ_{c}^{+}\barΛ_{c}^{-}$ pairs in $e^+e^-$ annihilation, the center-of-mass energies are measured with a precision of $\sim$0.6 MeV. Integrated luminosities are measured with a precision of better than 1\% by analyzing the events of large-angle Bhabha scattering. 6d SCFTs, Center-Flavor Symmetries, and Stiefel--Whitney Compactifications

Abstract: The center-flavor symmetry of a gauge theory specifies the global form of consistent gauge and flavor bundle background field configurations. For 6d gauge theories which arise from a tensor branch deformation of a superconformal field theory (SCFT), we determine the global structure of such background field configurations, including possible continuous Abelian symmetry and R-symmetry bundles. For 6d gauge theories which arise from a tensor branch deformation of a superconformal field theory (SCFT), we determine the global structure of such background field configurations, including possible continuous Abelian symmetry and R-symmetry bundles. Proceeding to the conformal fixed point, this provides a prescription for reading off the global form of the continuous factors of the zero-form symmetry, including possible non-trivial mixing between flavor and R-symmetry. As an application, we show that this global structure leads to a large class of 4d $\mathcal{N} = 2$ SCFTs obtained by compactifying on a $T^2$ in the presence of a topologically non-trivial flat flavor bundle characterized by a 't Hooft magnetic flux. The resulting "Stiefel--Whitney twisted" compactifications realize several new infinite families of 4d $\mathcal{N} = 2$ SCFTs, and also furnish a 6d origin for a number of recently discovered rank one and two 4d $\mathcal{N} = 2$ SCFTs. △ Less

Based on a partial recons… ▽ More We study the processes $e^+e^-\rightarrow K^{0}_{\rm S}D_s^+D^{*-}$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow K^{0}_{\rm S}D_s^{*+}D^{-}$, as well as their charge conjugated processes, at five center-of-mass energies between 4.628~GeV and 4.699~GeV, using data samples corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3.8~\rm{fb^{-1}}$ collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring. Based on a partial reconstruction technique, we find evidence of a structure near the thresholds for $D_s^+D^{*-}$ and $D_s^{*+}D^{-}$ production in the $K^{0}_{\rm S}$ recoil-mass spectrum, which we refer to as the $ Z_{cs}(3985)^0$. Fitting with a Breit-Wigner line shape, we find the mass of the structure to be $(3992.2\pm{1.7}\pm{1.6})~\rm{MeV}/c^2$ and the width to be $(7.7_{-3.8}^{+4.1}\pm{4.3})~\rm{MeV}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. The significance of the $ Z_{cs}(3985)^0$ signal is found to be $4.6σ$ including both the statistical and systematic uncertainty. We report the Born cross section multiplied by the branching fraction at different energy points. The mass of the $Z_{cs}(3985)^0$ is close to that of the $Z_{cs}(3985)^+$. Assuming SU(3) symmetry, the cross section of the neutral channel is consistent with that of the charged one. Hence, we conclude that the $Z_{cs}(3985)^0$ is the isospin partner of the $Z_{cs}(3985)^+$. △ Less

Abstract: Based on 10 billion $J/ψ$ events collected at the BESIII experiment, a search for $CP$ violation in $Λ$ decay is performed in the difference between $CP$-odd decay parameters $α_{-}$ for $Λ\rightarrow pπ^-$ and $α_{+}$ for $\barΛ\rightarrow \bar{p}π^+$ by using the process $e^+e^- \to J/ψ\rightarrow Λ\barΛ$. With a five-dimensional fit to the full angular distributions of the daughter baryon, the… ▽ More Based on 10 billion $J/ψ$ events collected at the BESIII experiment, a search for $CP$ violation in $Λ$ decay is performed in the difference between $CP$-odd decay parameters $α_{-}$ for $Λ\rightarrow pπ^-$ and $α_{+}$ for $\barΛ\rightarrow \bar{p}π^+$ by using the process $e^+e^- \to J/ψ\rightarrow Λ\barΛ$. With a five-dimensional fit to the full angular distributions of the daughter baryon, the most precise values for the decay parameters are determined to be $α_{-} = 0.7519 \pm 0.0036 \pm 0.0024$ and $α_{+} = -0.7559 \pm 0.0036 \pm 0.0030$, respectively. The $Λ$ and $\barΛ$ averaged value of the decay parameter is extracted to be $α_{\rm{avg}} = 0.7542 \pm 0.0010 \pm 0.0024$ with unprecedented accuracy. The $CP$ asymmetry $A_{CP}=(α_{-}+α_{+})/(α_{-}-α_{+})$ is determined to be $-0.0025 \pm 0.0046 \pm 0.0012$, which is one of the most precise measurements in the baryon sector. Observation of $a_0(1710)^+ \to K_S^0K^+$ in study of the $D_s^+\to K_S^0K^+π^0$ decay

The $h_c$(1$^1P_1$) mass and width are determined to be $M = (3525.32 \pm 0.06 \pm 0.15)~\rm{MeV}/c^{\rm{2}}$ and ${\mathit Γ} = (0.78 ^{+0.27}_{-0.24} \pm 0.12)~\rm{MeV}$. Using the center of gravity mass of the three $χ_{cJ}$(1$^3 P_J$) mesons ($M(\rm c.o.g.)$), the $1P$ hyperfine mass splitting is estimated to be $Δ_{\rm hyp} = M(h_c) - M(\rm c.o.g.) = (0.03 \pm 0.06 \pm 0.15) ~ \rm{MeV}/c^{\rm{2}}$, which is consistent with the expectation that the $1P$ hyperfine splitting is zero at the lowest-order. △ Less

Observation of the $Y(4230)$ and a new structure in $e^+e^- \rightarrow K^+K^-J/ψ$

Abstract: The cross sections of $e^+e^- \rightarrow K^+K^-J/ψ$ at center-of-mass energies from 4.127 to 4.600~GeV are measured based on 15.6 fb$^{-1}$ data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. Two resonant structures are observed in the line shape of the cross sections. The mass and width of the first structure are measured to be ($4225.3\pm2.3\pm21.5$) MeV and (… ▽ More The cross sections of $e^+e^- \rightarrow K^+K^-J/ψ$ at center-of-mass energies from 4.127 to 4.600~GeV are measured based on 15.6 fb$^{-1}$ data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. The mass and width of the first structure are measured to be ($4225.3\pm2.3\pm21.5$) MeV and ($72.9\pm6.1\pm30.8$)~MeV, respectively. They are consistent with those of the established $Y(4230)$. The second structure is observed for the first time with a statistical significance greater than 8$σ$, denoted as $Y(4500)$. Its mass and width are determined to be ($4484.7\pm13.3\pm24.1$) MeV and ($111.1\pm30.1\pm15.2$) MeV, respectively. The first presented uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. Anisotropic and tunable optical conductivity of a two-dimensional semi-Dirac system in the presence of elliptically polarized radiation

Abstract: We investigate the effect of ellipticity ratio of the polarized radiation field on optoelectronic properties of a two-dimensional (2D) semi-Dirac (SD) system. The optical conductivity is calculated within the energy balance equation approach derived from the semiclassical Boltzmann equation. Furthermore, we examine the effects of the ellipticity ratio, the temperature, the carrier density, and the band-gap parameter on the optical conductivity of the 2D SD system placed in transverse and vertical directions, respectively. It is shown that the ellipticity ratio, temperature, carrier density, and band-gap parameter can play the important roles in tuning the strength, peak position, and shape of the optical conductivity spectrum. The results obtained from this study indicate that the 2D SD system can be a promising anisotropic and tunable optical and optoelectronic material for applications in innovative 2D optical and optoelectronic devices, which are active in the infrared and terahertz bandwidths. △ Less

The decay channel $h_{c}\to p\bar{p}η$ is observed for the first time with a significance greater than $5σ$ and a branching fraction of $\left( {6.41 \pm 1.74 \pm 0.53 \pm 1.00} \right) \times {10^{ -4}}$, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and that from the branching fraction of $ψ(3686)\toπ^{0}h_{c}$. Strong evidence for the decay ${h_c} \to p\bar{p}{π^+}{π^-}{π^0}$ is found with a significance of $4.9σ$ and a branching fraction of $\left( {3.84 \pm 0.83 \pm0.69} \pm 0.58 \right) \times {10^{ - 3}}$. The significances include systematic uncertainties. No clear signal of the decay $h_c\to p\bar{p}π^{0}$ is found, and an upper limit of $6.59\times 10^{-4}$ on its branching fraction is set at the 90% confidence level. △ Less

Abstract: Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 11.3 $\rm fb^{-1}$ collected at center-of-mass energies from $4.23$ to $4.70$ GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the product of the $e^+e^-\to π^+π^-ψ_2(3823)$ cross section and the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}[ψ_2(3823)\to γχ_{c1}]$. For the first time, resonance structure is observed in the cross section line shape of… ▽ More Using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 11.3 $\rm fb^{-1}$ collected at center-of-mass energies from $4.23$ to $4.70$ GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the product of the $e^+e^-\to π^+π^-ψ_2(3823)$ cross section and the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}[ψ_2(3823)\to γχ_{c1}]$. For the first time, resonance structure is observed in the cross section line shape of $e^+e^-\to π^+π^-ψ_2(3823)$ with significances exceeding $5σ$. A fit to data with two coherent Breit-Wigner resonances modeling the $\sqrt{s}$-dependent cross section yields $M(R_1)=4406.9\pm 17.2\pm 4.5$ MeV/$c^2$, $Γ(R_1)=128.1\pm 37.2\pm 2.3$ MeV, and $M(R_2)=4647.9\pm 8.6\pm 0.8$ MeV/$c^2$, $Γ(R_2)=33.1\pm 18.6\pm 4.1$ MeV. Though weakly disfavored by the data, a single resonance with $M(R)=4417.5\pm26.2\pm3.5$ MeV/$c^2$, $Γ(R)=245\pm48\pm13$ MeV is also possible to interpret data. This observation deepens our understanding of the nature of the vector charmoniumlike states. The mass of the $ψ_2(3823)$ state is measured as $(3823.12\pm 0.43\pm 0.13)$ MeV/$c^2$, which is the most precise measurement to date. △ Less

One Loop to Rule Them All: Eight and Nine Dimensional String Vacua from Junctions

Abstract: String and 5-brane junctions are shown to succinctly classify all known 8d ${\cal N}$=1 string vacua. This requires an extension of the description for ordinary $[p,q]$-7-branes to consistently include O7$^+$-planes, which then naturally encodes the dynamics of $\mathfrak{sp}_n$ gauge algebras, including their higher-form center symmetries. Measurement of the branching fraction of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0$ and search for $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0π^0$

Abstract: Using $2.93\,\rm fb^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773\,GeV with the BESIII detector, we present a measurement of the branching fraction of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed (DCS) decay $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0$ and a search for the DCS decay $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0π^0$. The branching fraction of $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0$ is determined to be… ▽ More Using $2.93\,\rm fb^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773\,GeV with the BESIII detector, we present a measurement of the branching fraction of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed (DCS) decay $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0$ and a search for the DCS decay $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0π^0$. The branching fraction of $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0$ is determined to be $[3.13^{+0.60}_{-0.56}({\rm stat}) \pm 0.09({\rm syst})] \times 10^{-4}$. No signal is observed for $D^0\to K^+π^-π^0π^0$ and an upper limit of $3.6 \times 10^{-4}$ is set on the branching fraction at the 90\% C.L. We combine these results with the world-average branching fractions of their counterpart Cabibbo-favored decays to determine the ratios of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed over the Cabibbo-favored branching fractions, ${\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^+π^-π^0)/{\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^-π^+π^0)=(0.22\pm 0.04)\%$~and ${\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^+π^-π^0π^0)/{\mathcal B}(D^0\to K^-π^+π^0π^0)<0.40\%$ at the 90\% C.L., which correspond to $(0.75\pm 0.14)\tan^{4} θ_C$~and $1.37\times \tan^{4} θ_C$, respectively, where $θ_C$ is the Cabibbo angle. △ Less

The measured resonance parameters suggest it can be identified as the $φ(2170)$, thus the results provide valuable input to understand the internal nature of this state. △ Less

Abstract: Based on $(10087\pm44)\times10^{6}$ $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector, the process $J/ψ\rightarrowγπ^{+}π^{-}η'$ is studied using two dominant decay channels of the $η'$ meson, $η'\rightarrowγπ^{+}π^{-}$ and $η'\rightarrowηπ^{+}π^{-},η\rightarrowγγ$. The $X(2600)$ is observed with a statistical significance larger than 20$σ$ in the $π^{+}π^{-}η'$ invariant mass spectrum, and it has a… ▽ More Based on $(10087\pm44)\times10^{6}$ $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector, the process $J/ψ\rightarrowγπ^{+}π^{-}η'$ is studied using two dominant decay channels of the $η'$ meson, $η'\rightarrowγπ^{+}π^{-}$ and $η'\rightarrowηπ^{+}π^{-},η\rightarrowγγ$. A simultaneous fit on the $π^{+}π^{-}η'$ and $π^{+}π^{-}$ invariant mass spectra with the two $η'$ decay modes indicates that the mass and width of the $X(2600)$ state are $2617.8\pm2.1 ^{+18.2}_{-1.9}~\mathrm{MeV}$/{\it c}$^{2}$ and $200\pm8^{+20}_{-17}~\mathrm{MeV}$, respectively. The corresponding branching fractions are measured to be $B(J/ψ\rightarrowγX(2600))\cdot B(X(2600)\rightarrow f_{0}(1500)η')\cdot B(f_{0}(1500)\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-})$ = ($3.39\pm0.18^{+0.91}_{-0.66})\times10^{-5}$ and $B(J/ψ\rightarrowγX(2600))\cdot B(X(2600)\rightarrow f_{2}^{'}(1525)η')\cdot B(f_{2}^{'}(1525)\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-})$ = ($2.43\pm0.13^{+0.31}_{-1.11})\times10^{-5}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical, and the second systematic. △ Less

The masses and widths of the observed resonances and their branching fractions are reported. The main contribution is from $J/ψ\rightarrowγf_0(2020)$ with $f_0(2020)\rightarrowη^{\prime}η^{\prime}$, which is found with a significance of greater than 25$σ$. Higher Symmetries of 5d Orbifold SCFTs

Abstract: We determine the higher symmetries of 5d SCFTs engineered from M-theory on a $\mathbb{C}^3 / Γ$ background for $Γ$ a finite subgroup of $SU(3)$. This resolves a longstanding question as to how to extract this data when the resulting singularity is non-toric (when $Γ$ is non-abelian) and/or not isolated (when the action of $Γ$ has fixed loci). The BPS states of the theory are encoded in a 1d quiver… ▽ More We determine the higher symmetries of 5d SCFTs engineered from M-theory on a $\mathbb{C}^3 / Γ$ background for $Γ$ a finite subgroup of $SU(3)$. The BPS states of the theory are encoded in a 1d quiver quantum mechanics gauge theory which determines the possible 1-form and 2-form symmetries. We also show that this same data can also be extracted by a direct computation of the corresponding defect group associated with the orbifold singularity. Both methods agree, and these computations do not rely on the existence of a resolution of the singularity. We also observe that when the geometry faithfully captures the global 0-form symmetry, the abelianization of $Γ$ detects a 2-group structure (when present). As such, this establishes that all of this data is indeed intrinsic to the superconformal fixed point rather than being an emergent property of an IR gauge theory phase. △ Less

Observation of the Singly Cabibbo-Suppressed Decay $Λ_{c}^{+} \to nπ^{+}$

Abstract: The singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $Λ_{c}^{+} \to nπ^{+}$ is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of $7.3σ$ by using 3.9 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^{+}e^{-}$ collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.612 and 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector at BEPCII. The branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+} \to nπ^{+}$ is measured to be… ▽ More The singly Cabibbo-suppressed decay $Λ_{c}^{+} \to nπ^{+}$ is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of $7.3σ$ by using 3.9 $\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of $e^{+}e^{-}$ collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.612 and 4.699 GeV with the BESIII detector at BEPCII. The branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+} \to nπ^{+}$ is measured to be $(6.6\pm1.2_{\rm stat}\pm0.4_{\rm syst})\times 10^{-4}$. By taking the upper limit of branching fractions of $Λ_{c}^{+} \to pπ^0$ from the Belle experiment, the ratio of branching fractions between $Λ_{c}^{+} \to nπ^{+}$ and $Λ_{c}^{+} \to pπ^0$ is calculated to be larger than 7.2 at the 90% confidence level, which disagrees with the current predictions of available phenomenological models. In addition, the branching fractions of the Cabibbo-favored decays $Λ_{c}^{+} \to Λπ^{+}$ and $Λ_{c}^{+} \to Σ^{0}π^{+}$ are measured to be $(1.31\pm0.08_{\rm stat}\pm0.05_{\rm syst})\times 10^{-2}$ and $(1.22\pm0.08_{\rm stat}\pm0.07_{\rm syst})\times 10^{-2}$, respectively, which are consistent with previous results. △ Less

It is based on an $e^+e^-$ collision sample consisting of $10.6\times10^{6}$ pairs of $D^0\bar{D}^0$ mesons collected by the BESIII detector at $\sqrt{s}$=3.773 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93~fb$^{-1}$. The cross sections for $e^{+}e^{-}\toφπ^{+}π^{-}$ are consistent with previous results, but with improved precision. To measure the mass and width of the structure observed in the cross section line shape, a combine fit is performed after enhancing the contribution from $φf_{0}(980)$. The fit reveals a structure with the mass of $M=2178\pm20\pm5~{\rm MeV}/c^2$ and the width of $\varGamma=140\pm36\pm16~{\rm MeV}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones are systematic. △ Less
