First measurement of massive virtual photon emission from N* baryon resonances
Abstract: First information on the timelike electromagnetic structure of baryons in the second resonance region has been obtained from measurements of invariant mass and angular distributions in the quasi-free reaction $π^- p \to nee$ at $\sqrt{s_{π^- p}}$ = 1.49 GeV with the High Acceptance Di-Electron Spectrometer (HADES) detector at GSI using the pion beam im**ing on a CH$_2$ target. Role of baryon resonances in the $π^-p \to ne^+e^-$ reaction within an effective-Lagrangian model
Abstract: We present a study of the reaction $π^-p \to ne^+e^-$ for $\sqrt{s}=1.49\,\textrm{GeV}$, including non-resonant Born terms and contributions of the $N(1440)$, $N(1520)$, $N(1535)$ resonances ($R$), using an effective-Lagrangian model, which we extended by a phenomenological phase factor at the $RNρ$ vertex function. Charmonium Excitation functions in $\bar p$A Collisions
Abstract: We study the excitation function of the low-lying charmonium state: $Ψ$(3686) in $\bar p$ Au collisions taking into account their in-medium propagation. The time evolution of the spectral functions of the charmonium state is studied with a BUU type transport model. We calculated the excitation function of $Ψ$(3686) production and show that it is strongly effected by the medium. The energy regime w… ▽ More

Influence of anisotropic $Λ/Σ$ creation on the $Ξ^-$ mutiplicity in subthreshold proton-nucleus collisions
Abstract: We present an analysis of $Ξ^-$ baryon production in subthreshold proton--nucleus ($p+A$) collisions in the framework of a BUU type transport model. We propose a new mechanism for $Ξ$ production in the collision of a secondary $Λ$ or $Σ$ hyperon and a nucleon from the target nucleus. We find that the $Ξ^-$ multiplicity in $p+A$ collisions is sensitive to the angular distribution of hyperon product… ▽ More

We employ consistent effective interactions for baryon resonances up to spin-5/2 to compute their contribution to the anisotropy coefficient. Mass shift of charmonium states in $\bar p A$ collision
Abstract: The masses of the low lying charmonium states, namely, the $J/Ψ$, $Ψ(3686)$, and $Ψ(3770)$ are shifted downwards due to the second order Stark effect. In $\bar p + \text{Au}$ collisions at $6-10$ GeV we study their in\,-\,medium propagation. The time evolution of the spectral functions of these charmonium states is studied with a Boltzmann\,-\,Uehling\,-\,Uhlenbeck (BUU) type transport model. We s… ▽ More

Charmonium spectral functions in $\bar p A$ collision
Abstract: We study the in-medium propagation of low-lying charmonium states: $J/Ψ$, $Ψ$(3686), and $Ψ$(3770) in a $\bar p$ Au $10$ GeV collision. This energy regime will be available for the PANDA experiment. The time evolution of the spectral functions of the charmonium states is studied with a BUU type transport model. Influence of the axial anomaly on the decay $N(1535) \rightarrow Nη$
Abstract: The decay width of $N(1535)\rightarrow Nη$ is as large as that of $N(1535)\rightarrow Nπ$. This is in evident conflict with simple expectations based on flavor symmetry and phase space. Similarly, the decay width of $Λ(1670) \rightarrow Λ(1116) η$ is larger than predicted by flavor symmetry. In this work, we propose that the axial $U(1)_{A}$ anomaly is responsible for an enhanced coupling of (some… ▽ More

Dilepton and $φ$ meson production in elementary and nuclear collisions at the NICA fixed target experiment
Abstract: We argue that the NICA fixed target experiment will be able to provide very important new experimental data on dilepton and $φ$ meson production in the basically undiscovered energy domain between the SIS and SPS energies. Experimental information about elementary cross sections in this energy region is an essential ingredient of models of nuclear collisions in the same energy range.

Three-flavor chiral effective model with four baryonic multiplets within the mirror assignment
Abstract: We study three-flavor octet baryons by using the so-called extended Linear Sigma Model (eLSM). Within a quark-diquark picture, the requirement of a mirror assignment naturally leads to the consideration of four spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ baryon multiplets. A reduction of the Lagrangian to the two-flavor case leaves four doublets of nucleonic states which mix to form the experimentally observed states… ▽ More

A Three-Flavor Chiral Effective Model with Four Baryonic Multiplets within the Mirror Assignment
Abstract: In the case of three quark flavors, (pseudo)scalar diquarks transform as antiquarks under chiral transformations. We construct four spin-1/2 baryonic multiplets from left- and right-handed quarks as well as left- and right-handed diquarks. The fact that two of these multiplets transform in a "mirror" way allows for chirally invariant mass terms. We then embed these baryonic multiplets into the Lag… ▽ More

These multiplets are a scalar nonet, a pseudoscalar nonet, a vector nonet, an axialvector nonet, a baryon octet and a baryon decuplet. Phi meson production in near threshold proton-nucleus collisions

Production of phi mesons in subthreshold heavy-ion collisions
Abstract: Within a BUU type transport model we study $φ$ meson production in subthreshold Ni+Ni and Ru+Ru reactions. For the first time we included in our model the elementary reaction channels $ρ+N,Δ\to φ+N$, $π+N(1520) \to φ+N$ and $πρ$ $\to$ $φ$. In spite of a substantial increase of the $φ$ multiplicities by these channels our results stay significantly below the preliminary experimental data.
