Rotationally-resolved Fourier-transform spectra of laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) $A^1Σ^+_u\sim b^3Π_u \rightarrow X^1Σ^+_g$ of K$_2$ molecules were recorded and analyzed yielding 4053 term values of spin-orbit (SO) coupled $A \sim b$ complex of $^{39}$K$_2$ isotopologue with ca 0.01 cm$^{-1}$ accuracy. Their compilation with 1739 term values from previously published sources allowed to cover the energy range [9955, 17436] cm$^{-1}$ from the bottom of the lower-lying $b^3Π_u$ state up to the vicinity of the atomic asymptote $4s\;^2{\rm S}_{1/2}$ + $4p\;^2{\rm P}_{1/2}$, with rotational quantum number $J\in[0,149]$. The experimental data were processed by a direct 6$\times$6 coupled-channel (CC) deperturbation treatment, which accounted explicitly for both SO and electronic-rotational interactions between six states: $A^1Σ^+_u$($0$), $b^3Π_u$(0,1,2), $c^3Σ_u$(1), and $B^1Π_u$(1). The initial parameters of the global deperturbation model have been estimated in the framework of {\it ab initio} electronic structure calculations applying multi-referenced configuration-interaction and coupled-clusters methods. The interatomic potentials analytically defined for $A$ and $b$ states, as well as SO-splitting of the triplet $b$ state and $A\sim b$ SO-coupling functions have been refined to fit 5792 term values of the $^{39}$K$_2$ isotopologue, whereas the rest parameters were fixed on their {\it ab initio} values. The resulting mass-invariant parameters of the CC model reproduced the overall rovibronic term energies of the $A \sim b$ complex of $^{39}$K$_2$ with the accuracy, which is well within the experimental errors. This deperturbation analysis provided the refined dissociation energy $T_{dis}$=17474.569(5) cm$^{-1}$ and the long-range coefficient $C_3^Σ$ = 5.501(4) $\times10^5$cm$^{-1}$ A$^3$ relevant to the non-relativistic atomic limit $4s$+$4p$.

Prospects of laser cooling of these species are estimated, and the peculiarities of unpaired-electron distributions are analyzed from the point of view of the molecular electronic structure. A method to simulate local properties and processes in crystals with impurities via constructing cluster models within the frame of the compound-tunable embedding potential (CTEP) and highly-accurate {\it ab initio} relativistic molecular-type electronic structure calculations is developed and applied to the Ce and Th-doped yttrium orthophosphate crystals, YPO$_4$, having xenotime structure. Two embedded cluster models are considered, the "minimal" one, YO$_8$@CTEP$_{\rm min}$, consisting of the central Y$^{3+}$ cation and its first coordination sphere of eight O$^{2-}$ anions (i.~e.\ with broken P--O bonds), and its extended counterpart, Y(PO$_4$)$_6$@CTEP$_{\rm ext}$, implying the full treatment of all atoms of the PO$_4^{3-}$ anions nearest to the central Y$^{3+}$ cation. CTEP$_{\rm min, ext}$ denote here the corresponding cluster environment described within the CTEP method. The relativistic Fock-space coupled cluster (FS RCC) theory is applied to the minimal cluster model to study electronic excitations localized on Ce$^{3+}$ and Th$^{3+}$ impurity ions. Calculated transition energies for the cerium-doped xenotime are in a good agreement with the available experimental data (mean absolute deviation of ca.0.3 eV for $4f{\to}5d$ type transitions). For the thorium-doped crystal the picture of electronic states is predicted to be quite complicated, the ground state is expected to be of the $6d$ character. The uncertainty for the excitation energies of thorium-doped xenotime is estimated to be within 0.35 eV. Radiative lifetimes of excited states are calculated at the FS RCC level for both doped crystals. The calculated lifetime of the lowest $5d$ state of Ce$^{3+}$ differs from the experimentally measured one by no more than twice.

Relativistic coupled-cluster calculations of the ionization potential, dissociation energy, and excited electronic states under 35,000 cm$^{-1}$ are presented for the actinium monofluoride (AcF) molecule. The ionization potential is calculated to be IP$_e=48,866$ cm$^{-1}$, and the ground state is confirmed to be a closed-shell singlet and thus strongly sensitive to the $\mathcal{T}$,$\mathcal{P}$-violating nuclear Schiff moment of the Ac nucleus. Radiative properties and transition dipole moments from the ground state are identified for several excited states, achieving an uncertainty of $\sim$450 cm$^{-1}$ for the excitation energies. For higher-lying states that are not directly accessible from the ground state, possible two-step excitation pathways are proposed. The calculated branching ratios and Franck-Condon factors are used to investigate the suitability of AcF for direct laser cooling. The lifetime of the metastable $(1)^3Δ_1$ state, which can be used in experimental searches of the electric dipole moment of the electron, is estimated to be of order 1 ms.

The tiny-core generalized (Gatchina) relativistic pseudopotential (GRPP) model provides an accurate approximation for many-electron Hamiltonians of molecules containing heavy atoms, ensuring a proper description of the effects of non-Coulombian electron-electron interactions, electronic self-energy and vacuum polarization. Combining this model with electron correlation treatment in the frames of the intermediate Hamiltonian Fock space coupled cluster theory employing incomplete main model spaces, one obtains a reliable and economical tool for excited state modeling. The performance of this method is assessed in applications to \textit{ab initio} modeling of excited electronic states of the thorium monoxide molecule with term energies below 20000 cm$^{-1}$. Radiative lifetimes of excited states are estimated using truncated expansions of effective and metric operators in powers of cluster amplitudes.

A simple procedure to incorporate one-loop quantum electrodynamic (QED) corrections into the generalized (Gatchina) nonlocal shape-consistent relativistic pseudopotential model is described. The pseudopotentials for Lu, Tl, and Ra replacing only inner core shells (with principal quantum numbers $n\le 3$ for the two former elements and $n\le 4$ for the latter one) are derived from the solutions of reference atomic SCF problems with the Dirac-Coulomb-Breit Hamiltonian to which the model Lamb shift operator added. QED contributions to atomic valence excitation energies evaluated at the SCF level are demonstrated to exceed the errors introduced by the pseudopotential approximation itself by an order of magnitude. Pilot applications of the new model to calculations of excitation energies of two-valence-electron atomic systems using the intermediate-Hamiltonian relativistic Fock space coupled cluster method reformulated here for incomplete main model spaces are reported. Implications for high-accuracy molecular excited state calculations are discussed.

Systematic study of the hyperfine structure (HFS) of the $a^3Σ^+$ state for levels with $v_{a} \in [0, 27]$ and $N_{a} \in [24, 90]$ shows that the splitting monotonically increases with $v_{a}$. The spectroscopic study was supported by ab initio calculations of the magnetic hyperfine interaction in $X^1Σ^+$ and $a^3Σ^+$ states. The discovered variation of the electronic matrix elements with the internuclear distance $R$ is in a good agreement with the observed $v_{a}$-dependencies of the HFS. Overall set of available experimental data on the $a^3Σ^+$ state was used to improve the potential energy curve particularly near a bottom, providing the refined dissociation energy $D_e$=267.21(1) cm${}^{-1}$. The AcOH${}^+$ molecular ion is identified as a prospective system to search for $\mathcal{CP}$-violation effects. According to our study AcOH${}^+$ belongs to the class of laser-coolable polyatomic molecular cations implying the large coherence time in the experiments to study symmetry violating effects of fundamental interactions. We perform both nuclear and high level relativistic coupled cluster electronic structure calculations to express experimentally measurable $\mathcal{T}$,$\mathcal{P}$-violating energy shift in terms of fundamental quantities such as the nuclear magnetic quadrupole moment (MQM), electron electric dipole moment ($e$EDM) and dimensionless scalar-pseudoscalar nuclear-electron interaction constant. We further express nuclear MQM in terms of the strength constants of $\mathcal{CP}$-violating nuclear forces: quantum chromodynamics vacuum angle $\barθ$ and quark chromo-EDMs. The equilibrium geometry of AcOH${}^+$ in the ground and the four lowest excited electronic states was found to be linear. The calculated Franck-Condon factors and transition dipole moments indicate that the laser cooling using optical cycle involving the first excited state is possible for the trapped AcOH${}^+$ ions with the Doppler limit estimated to be~$\sim 4$~nK. The lifetime of the (0,1$^1$,0) excited vibrational state considered as a working one for MQM and $e$EDM search experiments is estimated to be $\sim 0.4$ sec.

The laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) spectra of the $c^3Σ^+ \rightarrow a^3Σ^+$ transition were recorded with Fourier-transform spectrometer within 8000 to 10000 cm$^{-1}$ range. Overall 673 rovibronic term values belonging to both $e/f$-components of the $c^3Σ^+(Ω=1^{\pm})$ state of $^{39}$KCs, covering vibrational levels from $v$ = 0 to about 45, and rotational levels $J\in [11,149]$ were determined with the accuracy of about 0.01 cm$^{-1}$; among them 7 values for $^{41}$KCs. The experimental term values with $v\in [0,22]$ were involved in a direct point-wise potential reconstruction for the $c^3Σ^+(Ω=1^{\pm})$ state, which takes into account the $Ω$-doubling effect caused by the spin-rotational interaction with the nearby $c^3Σ^+(Ω=0^-)$ state. The analysis and interpretation were facilitated by the fully-relativistic coupled cluster calculation of the potential energy curves for the $B^1Π$, $c^3Σ^+$, and $b^3Π$ states, as well as of spin-forbidden $c-X$ and spin-allowed $c-a$ transition dipole moments; radiative lifetimes and vibronic branching ratios were calculated. A comparison of relative intensity distributions measured in vibrational $c-a$ LIF progressions with their theoretical counterparts unambiguously confirms the vibrational assignment suggested in [\emph{J. For this, we calculate the molecular constant that characterizes this interaction and use it to estimate the expected magnitude of the effect to be measured. It is shown that this molecular constant has the same order of magnitude as the corresponding molecular constant corresponding to the axion-mediated electron-nucleus interaction. Radium compounds have attracted recently considerable attention due to both development of experimental techniques for high-precision laser spectroscopy of molecules with short-lived nuclei and amenability of certain radium compounds for direct cooling with lasers. Currently, radium monofluoride (RaF) is one of the most studied molecules among the radium compounds, both theoretically and recently also experimentally. Complementary studies of further diatomic radium derivatives are highly desired to assess the influence of chemical substitution on diverse molecular parameters, especially on those connected with laser cooling, such as vibronic transition probabilities, and those related to violations of fundamental symmetries. In this article high-precision \emph{ab initio} studies of electronic and vibronic levels of diatomic radium monochloride (RaCl) are presented. Recently developed approaches for treating electronic correlation with Fock-space coupled cluster methods are applied for this purpose. Theoretical results are compared to an early experimental investigation by Lagerqvist and used to partially reassign the experimentally observed transitions and molecular electronic levels of RaCl. Effective constants of $\mathcal{P}$-odd hyperfine interaction $W_{\rm{a}}$ and $\mathcal{P,T}$-odd scalar-pseudoscalar nucleus-electron interaction $W_{\rm{s}}$ in the ground electronic state of RaCl are estimated within the framework of a quasirelativistic Zeroth-Order Regular Approximation approach and compared to parameters in RaF and RaOH.

The intercombination $a^3Π- X^1Σ^+$ Cameron system of carbon monoxide has been computationally studied in the framework of multi-reference Fock space coupled cluster method with the use of generalized relativistic pseudopotential model for the effective introducing the relativity in all-electron correlation treatment. The extremely weak $a^3Π_{Ω=0^+,1} - X^1Σ^+$ transition probabilities and radiative lifetimes of the metastable $a^3Π$ state were calculated and compared with their previous theoretical and experimental counterparts. The impact of a presumable variation of the fine structure constant $α=e^2/\hbar c$ on transition strength of the Cameron system has been numerically evaluated as well.

We observed the $A^1Σ^+\sim b^3Π\to a^3Σ^+/X^1Σ^+$ laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) spectra of the RbCs molecule excited from the ground $X^1Σ^+$ state by the Ti:Sapphire laser. The LIF radiation from the common perturbed levels of the singlet-triplet $A\sim b$ complex was recorded by the Fourier-transform (FT) spectrometer with the instrumental resolution of 0.03~cm$^{-1}$. The relative intensity distribution in the rotationally resolved $A\sim b\to a^3Σ^+(v_a)/X^1Σ^+(v_X)$ progressions was measured, and their branching ratio was found to be about of 1$÷$5$ \times$10$^{-4}$ in the bound region of the $a^3Σ^+$ and $X^1Σ^+$ states. The experiment was complemented with the scalar and full relativistic calculations of the $A/b - X/a$ transition dipole moments (TDMs) as functions of internuclear distance. The relative systematic error in the resulting \emph{ab initio} TDM functions evaluated for the strong $A - X$ transition was estimated as few percent in the energy region, where the experimental LIF intensities are relevant. The relative spectral sensitivity of the FT registration system, operated with the InGaAs diode detector and CaF beam-splitter, was calibrated in the range $[6~500,12~000]$~cm$^{-1}$ by a comparison of experimental intensities in the long $A\sim b\to X(v_X)$ LIF progressions of the K$_2$ and KCs molecules with their theoretical counterparts evaluated using the \emph{ab initio} $A - X$ TDMs. Both experimental and theoretical transition probabilities can be employed to improve the stimulated Raman adiabatic passage process, $a\to A\sim b \to X$, which is exploited for a laser assembling of ultracold RbCs molecules.

The four-component relativistic Fock space coupled cluster method is used to describe the magnetic hyperfine interaction in low-lying electronic states of the KCs molecule. Both diagonal and off-diagonal matrix elements as functions of the internuclear separation $R$ are calculated within the finite-field scheme. The resulting matrix elements exhibit very weak dependence on $R$ for the separations exceeding 8 Å, whereas in the vicinity of the ground-state equilibrium the deviation of molecular HFS matrix elements from the atomic values reaches 15\%. The dependence of the computed HFS couplings on the level of core correlation treatment is discussed.

Here we present a new extensible implementation of the FS-RCC method designed for modern parallel computers. The underlying theoretical model, algorithms and data structures are discussed. The performance and scaling features of the implementation are analyzed. The software developed allows to achieve a completely new level of accuracy for prediction of properties of atoms and molecules containing heavy and superheavy nuclei.

The experimental term values of the $A^1Σ^+_u\sim b^3Π_u$ complex covering the rotational levels $J\in [4,395]$ in the excitation energy range $[9655,13630]$ cm$^{-1}$ were involved into coupled-channel (CC) deperturbation analysis. The deperturbation model takes explicitly into account spin-orbit coupling of the $A^1Σ^+_u(A0^+_u)$ and $b^3Π^+_{0_u}(b0^+_u)$ states as well as spin-rotational interaction between the $Ω=0$, $1$ and $2$ components of the $b^3Π^+_{Ω_u}$ state. The \emph{ab initio} relativistic calculations on the low-lying electronic states of Cs$_2$ were accomplished in the framework of Fock space relativistic coupled cluster (FSRCC) approach to provide the interatomic potentials of the interacting $A0^+_u$ and $b0^+_u$ states as well as the relevant $A\sim b$ spin-orbit coupling function. To validate the present CC deperturbation analysis solely obtained by energy-based data, the $A\sim b \to X(v^{\prime\prime}_X)$ LIF intensity distributions were measured and compared with their theoretical counterparts obtained by means of the non-adiabatic vibrational wave functions of the $A\sim b$ complex and the FSRCC $A\sim b \to X$ transition dipole moments calculated by the finite-field method.

These studies are aimed primarily at the support and interpretation of gas chromatographic experiments with Superheavy Elements, tennessine (Ts, $Z=117$) as the heavier homologue of At and possibly nihonium (Nh, $Z=113$) as its pseudo-homologue. The adsorption energies of elemental astatine or the corresponding monohydroxide on a stable gold (111) surface are estimated using gold clusters with up to 69 atoms in order to simulate the adsorption site. To simulate the electronic structure of $\rm At-Au_n$ and $\rm AtOH-Au_n$ complexes, we combine accurate shape-consistent relativistic pseudopotentials and non-collinear two-component relativistic density functional theory. The predicted adsorption energies for At and AtOH on gold are $\rm 130 \pm 10$ kJ/mol and $\rm 90 \pm 10$ kJ/mol, respectively.

Recently a number of diatomic and polyatomics molecules has been identified as a prospective systems for Doppler/Sisyphus cooling. Doppler/Sisyphus cooling allows to decrease the kinetic energy of molecules down to microkelvin temperatures with high efficiency and then capture them to molecular traps, including magneto-optical trap. Trapped molecules can be used for creation of molecular fountains and/or performing controlled chemical reactions, high-precision spectra measurements and a multitude of other applications. Polyatomic molecules with heavy nuclei present considerable interest for the search for "new physics" outside of Standard Model and other applications including cold chemistry, photochemistry, quantum informatics etc. Herein we would like to attract attention to radium monohydroxide molecule (RaOH) which is on the one hand an amenable object for laser cooling and on the other hand provides extensive possibilities for searching for P-odd and P,T-odd effects. At the moment RaOH is the heaviest polyatomic molecule proposed for direct cooling with lasers.

The potential curve, dissociation energy, equilibrium internuclear distance, and spectroscopic constants for the ground state of the Ca2 molecule are calculated with the help of the generalized relativistic effective core potential method which allows one to exclude the inner core electrons from the calculations and to take the relativistic effects into account effectively. Extensive generalized correlation basis sets were constructed and employed. The scalar relativistic coupled cluster method with corrections for high-order cluster amplitudes is used for the correlation treatment. The obtained results are analyzed and compared with the experimental data and corresponding all-electron results.
