In this salt, a part of Mn$^{2+}$ ions are replaced by Co$^{2+}$ which acts as a magnetic dopant with a different effective magnetic moment. Crystal structure, band structure, conducting and magnetic properties of the salt have been studied. Below 30 K the material undergoes a metal-insulator transition, which is suppressed by applying a pressure of ~0.5kbar, leading to a superconducting ground state. While the structural and conducting properties are very similar to those of the parent salt $κ$-(BETS)$_2$Mn[N(CN)$_2$]$_3$, magnetic properties associated with localized moments in the anion layer are found to be surprisingly different.

We present magnetoresistance studies of the quasi-two-dimensional organic conductor $κ$-(BETS)$_2$Mn[N(CN)$_2$]$_3$, where BETS stands for bis\-(ethylene\-dithio)\-tetra\-selena\-fulvalene. Under a moderate pressure of 1.4\,kbar, required for stabilizing the metallic ground state, Shubnikov - de Haas oscillations, associated with a classical and a magnetic-breakdown cyclotron orbits on the cylindrical Fermi surface, have been found at fields above 10\,T. The effective cyclotron masses evaluated from the temperature dependence of the oscillation amplitudes reveal strong renormalization due to many-body interactions. The analysis of the relative strength of the oscillations corresponding to the different orbits and its dependence on magnetic field suggests an enhanced role of electron-electron interactions on flat parts of the Fermi surface.

De Haas-van Alphen oscillations of the organic metal \k{appa}-(ET) 2 Cu(SCN) 2 have been measured up to 55 T at liquid helium temperatures. The Fermi surface of this charge transfer salt is a textbook example of linear chain of orbits coupled by magnetic breakdown. Accordingly, the oscillation spectrum is composed of linear combinations of the frequencies linked to the $α$ and magnetic breakdown-induced $β$ orbits. The field and temperature dependence of all the observed Fourier components, in particular the "forbidden frequency" $β$ -- $α$ which cannot correspond to a classical orbit, are quantitatively accounted for by analytical calculations based on a second order development of the free energy, i.e. beyond the first order Lifshitz-Kosevich formula.

The temperature dependence of electronic and magnetic properties of the organic charge-transfer salt (DOEO)$_4$[HgBr$_4$]TCE was investigated using magnetometry. Electronic transport properties revealed three distinct phases which are related to different magnetic coupling phenomena. In the low-temperature insulating phase (T<70 K) the antiferromagnetic coupling between two distinct sites of magnetic moments causes antiferromagnetic order below the Néel temperature T$_N$=40 K. In the temperature region 70-120 K the (DOEO)$_4$[HgBr$_4$]TCE shows metallic-like behavior and with further increasing of temperature it becomes a bad metal due to loss of itinerant character and increase of hop** conductivity of charge carriers.

Field-, temperature- and angle-dependent Fourier amplitude of de Haas-van Alphen (dHvA) oscillations are calculated for compensated two-dimensional (2D) metals with textbook Fermi surface (FS) composed of one hole and two electron orbits connected by magnetic breakdown. It is demonstrated that, taking into account the opposite sign of electron and hole orbits, a given Fourier component involves combination of several orbits, the contribution of which must be included in the calculations. Such FS is observed in the strongly 2D organic metal alpha-'pseudo-kappa'-(ET)4H3O[Fe(C2O4)3].(C6H4Br2), dHvA oscillations of which have been studied up to 55 T for various directions of the magnetic field with respect to the conducting plane. Calculations are in good quantitative agreement with the data.

It was synthesized by the standard carboxylate substitution method. 1 crystallizes in the tetragonal space group I41/a. Complex 1 contains a [Mn12O12] core with eight CN-o-C6H4CO2 ligands in the axial positions, four CH3CO2 and four CN-o-C6H4CO2 those in equatorial positions. Four H2O molecules are bonded to four Mn atoms in an alternating up, down, up, down arrangement indicating 1:1:1:1 isomer. The Mn12 molecules in 1 are self-assembled by complementary hydrogen C-H...N bonds formed with participation of the axial o-cyanobenzoate ligands of the adjacent Mn12 clusters. The lattice solvent molecules (CH2Cl2) are weakly interacted with Mn12 units that results in solvent loss immediately after removal of the crystals from the mother liquor. The electronic structure and the intramolecular exchange parameters have been calculated. Mn 3d bands of 1 are rather broad and center of gravity of the bands shifts down from Fermi level. The overlap between Mn 3d bands and 2p ones of the oxygen atoms from carboxylate bridges is higher than in the parent Mn12-acetate cluster. These changes in electronic structure provide significant difference in the exchange interactions in comparison to Mn12-acetate. The magnetic properties have been studied on a dried (solvent-free) polycrystalline sample of 1. The dc magnetic susceptibility measurements in the 2-300 K temperature range support a high-spin ground state (S = 10).

NMR and the magnetization data indicate a transition in the manganese subsystem from paramagnetic to a frozen state at T_MI, which is, however, not a simple Neel type order. Further, a magnetic field induced transition resembling a spin flop has been detected in the torque measurements at temperatures below T_MI. This transition is most likely related to the spins of pi-electrons localized on the organic molecules BETS and coupled with the manganese 3d spins via exchange interaction.

The data reveal three basic frequencies F$_a$, F$_b$ and F$_{b - a}$, which can be interpreted on the basis of three compensated closed orbits at low temperature. However a very weak thermal dam** of the Fourier component F$_b$, with the highest amplitude, is evidenced for SdH spectra above about 6 K. As a result, magnetoresistance oscillations are observed at temperatures higher than 30 K. This feature, which is not observed for dHvA oscillations, is in line with quantum interference, pointing to a Fermi surface reconstruction in this compound.

The oscillatory magnetoresistance spectrum of the organic metal (BEDO)$_5$Ni(CN)$_4\cdot$3C$_2$H$_4$(OH)$_2$ has been studied up to 50 T, in the temperature range from 1.5 K to 4.2 K. In high magnetic field, its Fermi surface corresponds to a linear chain of quasi-two-dimensional orbits coupled by magnetic breakdown (MB). The scattering rate consistently deduced from the data relevant to the basic $α$ and the MB-induced $β$ orbits is very large which points to a significant reduction of the chemical potential oscillation. Despite of this feature, the oscillations spectrum exhibits many frequency combinations. Their effective masses and (or) Dingle temperature are not in agreement with either the predictions of the quantum interference model or the semiclassical model of Falicov and Stachowiak.

The Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations spectra can be interpreted on the basis of three compensated orbits in all the pressure range studied, suggesting that the Fermi surface topology remains qualitatively the same as the applied pressure varies. In addition, all the observed frequencies, normalized to their value at ambient pressure, exhibit the same sizeable pressure dependence. Despite this behavior, which is at variance with that of numerous charge transfer salts based on the BEDT-TTF molecule, non-monotonous pressure-induced variations of parameters such as the scattering rate linked to the various detected orbits are observed.

The Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) oscillation spectra of the beta''-(BEDT-TTF)4(NH4)[Cr(C2O4)\_3].DMF organic metal have been studied in pulsed magnetic fields of up to either 36 T at ambient pressure or 50 T under hydrostatic pressures of up to 1 GPa. The ambient pressure SdH oscillation spectra can be accounted for by up to six fundamental frequencies which points to a rather complex Fermi surface (FS). A noticeable pressure-induced modification of the FS topology is evidenced since the number of frequencies observed in the spectra progressively decreases as the pressure increases. Above 0.8 GPa, only three compensated orbits are observed, as it is the case for several other isostructural salts of the same family at ambient pressure. Contrary to other organic metals, of which the FS can be regarded as a network of orbits, no frequency combinations are observed for the studied salt, likely due to high magnetic breakdown gap values or (and) high disorder level evidenced by Dingle temperatures as large as about 7 K.

Layered organic conductors (BEDO-TTF)_2ReO_4*H_2O (metal) and (BEDT-TTF)_xDy(NO_3)_z (paramagnetic insulator) are studied by CW-EPR and SQUID methods. A correlation in resonance and transport properties of both compounds is attributed to a similar mechanism of fine anion ordering (AO) at T_AO=200 K. Due to the hydrogen bonds motif the small configuration changes in anion sub-lattice bring a profound effect on electronic properties. It is shown that the spin system of (BEDO-TTF)_2ReO_4*H_2O consists of a fraction of delocalized pi-type holes (I_epr=n(e_F)), I_epr(300K)=1,62*10^(-4) emu/mol and antiferromagnetically correlated local moments S=1/2, chi_p(300K)=1,86*10^(-3) emu/mol. The phase transition Me-Me at T_AO=203 K is detected by paramagnetic relaxation and resisitivity but it is not observed in spin susceptibility. Fraction of delocalized holes gradually decreases by factor 2 at cooling down to 100 K, whereas contribution from local moments reaches maximum at 50 K and falls to zero at 14 K. However, at 2 K total spin susceptibility is fully recovered approaching 6*10^(-2) emu/mol. In turn, (BEDT-TTF)_xDy(NO_3)_z does not have solvent bridges (H_2O) between neighboring anions and the disorder in anion layer converts this compound into paramagnetic insulator. Moreover, the anion metal-complexes Dy(NO_3)_z^n(-) contain magnetic ions Dy^3(+). Nonetheless, the phase transition of similar origin is also detected at T=197 K by ESR and resistivity measurements. Two spin sub-systems co-exist in this compound: hop** local moments S=1/2 (BEDT-TTF^(+)), I_epr(300K)=6,3*10^(-4) emu/mol and strongly localized 4f^9-electrons, J=15/2 (Dy^3(+)), chi_p(300K)=4*10^(-2) emu/mol.
