In this paper, we study long time dynamics of radial threshold solutions for the focusing, generalized energy-critical Hartree equation and classify all radial threshold solutions. The main arguments are the spectral theory of the linearized operator, the modulational analysis and the concentration compactness rigidity argument developed by T. Duyckaerts and F. Merle to classify all threshold solutions for the energy critical NLS and NLW in \cite{DuyMerle:NLS:ThresholdSolution, DuyMerle:NLW:ThresholdSolution}, later by D. Li and X. Zhang in \cite{LiZh:NLS, LiZh:NLW} in higher dimensions. The new ingredient here is to solve the nondegeneracy of positive bubble solutions with nonlocal structure in $\dot H^1(\R^N)$ (i.e. the spectral assumption in \cite{MiaoWX:dynamic gHartree}) by the nondegeneracy result of positive bubble solution in $L^{\infty}(\R^N)$ in \cite{LLTX:Nondegeneracy} and the Moser iteration method in \cite{DiMeVald:book}, which is related to the spectral analysis of the linearized operator with nonlocal structure, and plays a key role in the construction of the special threshold solutions, and the classification of all threshold solutions.

Survey instruments and assessments are frequently used in many domains of social science. When the constructs that these assessments try to measure become multifaceted, multidimensional item response theory (MIRT) provides a unified framework and convenient statistical tool for item analysis, calibration, and scoring. However, the computational challenge of estimating MIRT models prohibits its wide use because many of the extant methods can hardly provide results in a realistic time frame when the number of dimensions, sample size, and test length are large. Instead, variational estimation methods, such as Gaussian Variational Expectation Maximization (GVEM) algorithm, have been recently proposed to solve the estimation challenge by providing a fast and accurate solution. However, results have shown that variational estimation methods may produce some bias on discrimination parameters during confirmatory model estimation, and this note proposes an importance weighted version of GVEM (i.e., IW-GVEM) to correct for such bias under MIRT models. We also use the adaptive moment estimation method to update the learning rate for gradient descent automatically. Our simulations show that IW-GVEM can effectively correct bias with modest increase of computation time, compared with GVEM. The proposed method may also shed light on improving the variational estimation for other psychometrics models.

Using data samples collected at center-of-mass energies between 2.000 and 3.080 GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, a partial-wave analysis is performed on the process $e^+e^-\toηπ^+π^-$. In addition to the dominant $e^+e^-\toρη$ component, the $e^+e^-\to a_2(1320)π$ process is also sizeable, contributing up to 24% of the total reaction. The measured cross sections of the process $e^+e^-\toηπ^+π^-$ are systematically higher than those of BaBar by more than $3σ$ at center-of-mass energies between 2.000 and 2.300 GeV. In the cross section lineshape for $e^+e^-\to a_2(1320)π$, a resonant structure is observed with a significance of $5.5σ$, with $M=(2044\pm31\pm4)$ MeV/$c^2$, $Γ=(163\pm69\pm24)$ MeV and $\mathcal{B_{R}}\cdotΓ_{e^+e^-}^{R}=(34.6\pm17.1\pm6.0)$ eV or $(137.1\pm73.3\pm2.1)$ eV. In the cross section lineshape for $e^+e^-\toρη$, an evidence of a dip structure around 2180 MeV/$c^2$ is observed with statistical significance of $3.0σ$.

In his celebrated book "Mathematical Treatise in Nine Sections" of 1247, Qin, Jiushao described the Chinese remainder theorem with great detail and generality. He also gave a method for computing modular inverse under the name of "DaYan deriving one". Historical significance of DaYan deriving one method has been well studied. In this paper, we investigate its modern mathematical nature from the perspectives of number theory and algorithm. One of the remarkable features of Qin's algorithm is that it keeps a state of four variables in a matrix form. Its choice of variables and layout provide natural ways of connecting several important mathematical concepts. An invariant about the state is also observed which provides a convenient yet powerful tool in proving several important mathematical results. The paper first explains Qin's algorithm and proves some of its properties. Then the connection with continued fractions is examined, the results show that the states of Qin's algorithm contain rich information about continued fractions and some classical arguments can be derived easily. The last part of the paper discusses a family of 2-dimensional lattices of number theoretic significance by proving that the shortest vectors of these lattices can be obtained from the states of Qin's algorithm. This result is surprising in that a shortest lattice vector is found in a well-regulated set. A method of computing such shortest vectors is proposed.ed.

Mesh offsetting plays an important role in discrete geometric processing. In this paper, we propose a parallel feature-preserving mesh offsetting framework with variable distance. Different from the traditional method based on distance and normal vector, a new calculation of offset position is proposed by using dynamic programming and quadratic programming, and the sharp feature can be preserved after offsetting. Instead of distance implicit field, a spatial coverage region represented by polyhedral for computing offsets is proposed. Our method can generate an offsetting model with smaller mesh size, and also can achieve high quality without gaps, holes, and self-intersections. Moreover, several acceleration techniques are proposed for the efficient mesh offsetting, such as the parallel computing with grid, AABB tree and rays computing. In order to show the efficiency and robustness of the proposed framework, we have tested our method on the quadmesh dataset, which is available at [https://www.quadmesh.cloud]. The source code of the proposed algorithm is available on GitHub at [https://github.com/iGame-Lab/PFPOffset].

Characterizing the nature of hydrodynamical transport properties in quantum dynamics provides valuable insights into the fundamental understanding of exotic non-equilibrium phases of matter. Simulating infinite-temperature transport on large-scale complex quantum systems remains an outstanding challenge. Here, using a controllable and coherent superconducting quantum simulator, we experimentally realize the analog quantum circuit, which can efficiently prepare the Haar-random states, and probe spin transport at infinite temperature. We observe diffusive spin transport during the unitary evolution of the ladder-type quantum simulator with ergodic dynamics. Moreover, we explore the transport properties of the systems subjected to strong disorder or a titled potential, revealing signatures of anomalous subdiffusion in accompany with the breakdown of thermalization. Our work demonstrates a scalable method of probing infinite-temperature spin transport on analog quantum simulators, which paves the way to study other intriguing out-of-equilibrium phenomena from the perspective of transport.

Histopathology image analysis plays a crucial role in cancer diagnosis. However, training a clinically applicable segmentation algorithm requires pathologists to engage in labour-intensive labelling. In contrast, weakly supervised learning methods, which only require coarse-grained labels at the image level, can significantly reduce the labeling efforts. Unfortunately, while these methods perform reasonably well in slide-level prediction, their ability to locate cancerous regions, which is essential for many clinical applications, remains unsatisfactory. Previously, we proposed CAMEL, which achieves comparable results to those of fully supervised baselines in pixel-level segmentation. However, CAMEL requires 1,280x1,280 image-level binary annotations for positive WSIs. Here, we present CAMEL2, by introducing a threshold of the cancerous ratio for positive bags, it allows us to better utilize the information, consequently enabling us to scale up the image-level setting from 1,280x1,280 to 5,120x5,120 while maintaining the accuracy. Our results with various datasets, demonstrate that CAMEL2, with the help of 5,120x5,120 image-level binary annotations, which are easy to annotate, achieves comparable performance to that of a fully supervised baseline in both instance- and slide-level classifications.

Text is ubiquitous in our visual world, conveying crucial information, such as in documents, websites, and everyday photographs. In this work, we propose UReader, a first exploration of universal OCR-free visually-situated language understanding based on the Multimodal Large Language Model (MLLM). By leveraging the shallow text recognition ability of the MLLM, we only finetuned 1.2% parameters and the training cost is much lower than previous work following domain-specific pretraining and finetuning paradigms. Concretely, UReader is jointly finetuned on a wide range of Visually-situated Language Understanding tasks via a unified instruction format. To enhance the visual text and semantic understanding, we further apply two auxiliary tasks with the same format, namely text reading and key points generation tasks. We design a shape-adaptive crop** module before the encoder-decoder architecture of MLLM to leverage the frozen low-resolution vision encoder for processing high-resolution images. Without downstream finetuning, our single model achieves state-of-the-art ocr-free performance in 8 out of 10 visually-situated language understanding tasks, across 5 domains: documents, tables, charts, natural images, and webpage screenshots. Codes and instruction-tuning datasets will be released.

Collaborative perception among multiple connected and autonomous vehicles can greatly enhance perceptive capabilities by allowing vehicles to exchange supplementary information via communications. Despite advances in previous approaches, challenges still remain due to channel variations and data heterogeneity among collaborative vehicles. To address these issues, we propose ACC-DA, a channel-aware collaborative perception framework to dynamically adjust the communication graph and minimize the average transmission delay while mitigating the side effects from the data heterogeneity. Our novelties lie in three aspects. We first design a transmission delay minimization method, which can construct the communication graph and minimize the transmission delay according to different channel information state. We then propose an adaptive data reconstruction mechanism, which can dynamically adjust the rate-distortion trade-off to enhance perception efficiency. Moreover, it minimizes the temporal redundancy during data transmissions. Finally, we conceive a domain alignment scheme to align the data distribution from different vehicles, which can mitigate the domain gap between different vehicles and improve the performance of the target task. Comprehensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method in comparison to the existing state-of-the-art works.

The product branching fraction $\mathcal{B}\left(ψ(3686) \rightarrow γη_{c}(2 S)\right) \times \mathcal{B}(η_{c}(2 S) \rightarrow K \bar{K} π)$ is determined to be $(0.97 \pm 0.06 (\rm {stat}) \pm 0.09 (\rm {syst})) \times 10^{-5}$. Using $\mathcal{BR}(η_{c}(2S)\to K\bar{K}π)=(1.86^{+0.68}_{-0.49})\%$, we obtain the branching fraction of the radiative transition to be $\mathcal{BR}(ψ(3686) \to γη_{c}(2S)) = (5.2 \pm 0.3 (\rm {stat}) \pm 0.5 (\rm {syst}) ^{+1.9}_{-1.4} (extr)) \times 10^{-4}$, where the third uncertainty is due to the quoted $\mathcal{BR}(η_{c}(2S) \to K\bar{K}π)$.

The precisions of $α_0$ for $Λ\to nπ^0$ and $\barα_0$ for $\barΛ \to \bar{n}π^0$ compared to world averages are improved by factors of 4 and 1.7, respectively. The ratio of decay asymmetry parameters of $Λ\to nπ^0$ to that of $Λ\to pπ^-$, $\langle α_0 \rangle/ \langle α_{Λ-} \rangle $, is determined to be $ 0.873 \pm 0.012^{+0.011}_{-0.010}$, where the first and the second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The ratio is smaller than unity more than $5σ$, which signifies the existence of the $ΔI = 3/2$ transition in $Λ$ for the first time. Beside, we test for CP violation in $Ξ^- \to Λπ^-$ and in $Λ\to n π^{0}$ with the best precision to date.

The Born cross sections for $e^{+}e^{-}\to K_{S}^{0}K_{L}^{0}π^{0}$ are consistent with previous measurements by BaBar, but with substantially improved precision. The Born cross section lineshape of the process $e^{+}e^{-}\to K^{*}(892)^{0}\bar{K}^{0}$ is consistent with a vector meson state around 2.2 GeV with a significance of 3.2$σ$. A Breit-Wigner fit determines its mass as $M_Y=(2164.7\pm9.1\pm3.1)~{\rm{MeV}}/c^{2}$ and its width as $Γ_{Y}=(32.4\pm21.0\pm1.8)~\rm{MeV}$.

Federated learning is a distributed machine learning system that uses participants' data to train an improved global model. In federated learning, participants cooperatively train a global model, and they will receive the global model and payments. Rational participants try to maximize their individual utility, and they will not input their high-quality data truthfully unless they are provided with satisfactory payments based on their data quality. Furthermore, federated learning benefits from the cooperative contributions of participants. Accordingly, how to establish an incentive mechanism that both incentivizes inputting data truthfully and promotes stable cooperation has become an important issue to consider. In this paper, we introduce a data sharing game model for federated learning and employ game-theoretic approaches to design a core-selecting incentive mechanism by utilizing a popular concept in cooperative games, the core. In federated learning, the core can be empty, resulting in the core-selecting mechanism becoming infeasible. To address this, our core-selecting mechanism employs a relaxation method and simultaneously minimizes the benefits of inputting false data for all participants. However, this mechanism is computationally expensive because it requires aggregating exponential models for all possible coalitions, which is infeasible in federated learning. To address this, we propose an efficient core-selecting mechanism based on sampling approximation that only aggregates models on sampled coalitions to approximate the exact result. Extensive experiments verify that the efficient core-selecting mechanism can incentivize inputting high-quality data and stable cooperation, while it reduces computational overhead compared to the core-selecting mechanism.

3D scene reconstruction from 2D images has been a long-standing task. Instead of estimating per-frame depth maps and fusing them in 3D, recent research leverages the neural implicit surface as a unified representation for 3D reconstruction. Equipped with data-driven pre-trained geometric cues, these methods have demonstrated promising performance. However, inaccurate prior estimation, which is usually inevitable, can lead to suboptimal reconstruction quality, particularly in some geometrically complex regions. In this paper, we propose a two-stage training process, decouple view-dependent and view-independent colors, and leverage two novel consistency constraints to enhance detail reconstruction performance without requiring extra priors. Additionally, we introduce an essential mask scheme to adaptively influence the selection of supervision constraints, thereby improving performance in a self-supervised paradigm. Experiments on synthetic and real-world datasets show the capability of reducing the interference from prior estimation errors and achieving high-quality scene reconstruction with rich geometric details.

It is an outstanding problem whether a pipe-flow system on a star-shaped network is stabilisable by a feedback control on the common vertex. In the present paper we deal with this problem. In particular, we study the equation governing the small vibrations of a stretched elastic pipe conveying fluid in a star-shaped network and examine the question of vertex feedback stabilisability of such a system via control moments. Finding an answer to the question is not straightforward, for the system operator associated with the corresponding closed-loop system is unbounded and nonselfadjoint. An approach to the study of the stabilisation problem for the closed-loop system is presented based on the spectral approach previously introduced by the authors for star graphs of stretched elastic beams. When the tension in the pipes is greater than the square of the fluid-flow velocity, we establish a positive result that in fact gives the strong property of uniform exponential stability of the closed-loop system.

The kagome lattice is an intriguing and rich platform for discovering, tuning and understanding the diverse phases of quantum matter, which is a necessary premise for utilizing quantum materials in all areas of modern and future electronics in a controlled and optimal way. The system LaRu$_{3}$Si$_{2}$ was shown to exhibit typical kagome band structure features near the Fermi energy formed by the Ru-$dz^{2}$ orbitals and the highest superconducting transition temperature $T_{\rm c}$ ${\simeq}$ 7K among the kagome-lattice materials. However, the effect of electronic correlations on the normal state properties remains elusive. Here, we report the discovery of charge order in La(Ru$_{1-x}$Fe$_{x}$)$_{3}$Si$_{2}$ ($x$ = 0, 0.01, 0.05) beyond room-temperature. Namely, single crystal X-ray diffraction reveals charge order with a propagation vector of ($\frac{1}{4}$,0,0) below $T_{\rm CO-I}$ ${\simeq}$ 400K in all three compounds. At lower temperatures, we see the appearance of a second set of charge order peaks with a propagation vector of ($\frac{1}{6}$,0,0). The introduction of Fe, which is known to quickly suppress superconductivity, does not drastically alter the onset temperature for charge order. Instead, it broadens the scattered intensity such that diffuse scattering appears at the same onset temperature, however does not coalesce into sharp Bragg diffraction peaks until much lower in temperature. Our results present the first example of a charge ordered state at or above room temperature in the correlated kagome lattice with bulk superconductivity.

This provides a vast generalization of Franks' famous two or infinity dichotomy for periodic orbits of area-preserving diffeomorphisms on the two-sphere, and establishes a conjecture attributed to Hofer-Zehnder in the case of toric manifolds. The key novelty is the application of gauged linear sigma model and its bulk deformations to the study of Hamiltonian dynamics of symplectic quotients.

This is the first observation of a Cabibbo-suppressed $Λ_{c}^{+}$ decay involving $Σ^-$ in the final state. The ratio of branching fractions between $Λ_{c}^{+}\to Σ^{-}K^{+}π^{+}$ and the Cabibbo-favored decay $Λ_{c}^{+}\to Σ^- π^+π^+$ is calculated to be $(0.4 \pm 0.1)s_{c}^{2}$, where $s_{c} \equiv \sinθ_c = 0.2248$ with $θ_c$ the Cabibbo mixing angle. This ratio significantly deviates from $1.0s_{c}^{2}$ and provides important information for the understanding of nonfactorization contributions in $Λ_{c}^{+}$ decays.

Recent years have witnessed the great success of vision transformer (ViT), which has achieved state-of-the-art performance on multiple computer vision benchmarks. However, ViT models suffer from vast amounts of parameters and high computation cost, leading to difficult deployment on resource-constrained edge devices. Existing solutions mostly compress ViT models to a compact model but still cannot achieve real-time inference. To tackle this issue, we propose to explore the divisibility of transformer structure, and decompose the large ViT into multiple small models for collaborative inference at edge devices. Our objective is to achieve fast and energy-efficient collaborative inference while maintaining comparable accuracy compared with large ViTs. To this end, we first propose a collaborative inference framework termed DeViT to facilitate edge deployment by decomposing large ViTs. Subsequently, we design a decomposition-and-ensemble algorithm based on knowledge distillation, termed DEKD, to fuse multiple small decomposed models while dramatically reducing communication overheads, and handle heterogeneous models by develo** a feature matching module to promote the imitations of decomposed models from the large ViT. Extensive experiments for three representative ViT backbones on four widely-used datasets demonstrate our method achieves efficient collaborative inference for ViTs and outperforms existing lightweight ViTs, striking a good trade-off between efficiency and accuracy. For example, our DeViTs improves end-to-end latency by 2.89$\times$ with only 1.65% accuracy sacrifice using CIFAR-100 compared to the large ViT, ViT-L/16, on the GPU server. DeDeiTs surpasses the recent efficient ViT, MobileViT-S, by 3.54% in accuracy on ImageNet-1K, while running 1.72$\times$ faster and requiring 55.28% lower energy consumption on the edge device.

In contrast to the abundant research focusing on large-scale models, the progress in lightweight semantic segmentation appears to be advancing at a comparatively slower pace. However, existing compact methods often suffer from limited feature representation capability due to the shallowness of their networks. In this paper, we propose a novel lightweight segmentation architecture, called Multi-scale Feature Propagation Network (MFPNet), to address the dilemma. Specifically, we design a robust Encoder-Decoder structure featuring symmetrical residual blocks that consist of flexible bottleneck residual modules (BRMs) to explore deep and rich muti-scale semantic context. Furthermore, taking benefit from their capacity to model latent long-range contextual relationships, we leverage Graph Convolutional Networks (GCNs) to facilitate multi-scale feature propagation between the BRM blocks. When evaluated on benchmark datasets, our proposed approach shows superior segmentation results.

Evidence for the decay $ψ(3770)\rightarrowΞ^{-}\barΞ^{+}$ is observed with a significance of 4.5$σ$ by analyzing the measured cross sections together with earlier BESIII results. For the other charmonium(-like) states $ψ(4040)$, $ψ(4160)$, $Y(4230)$, $Y(4360)$, $ψ(4415)$, and $Y(4660)$, no significant signal of their decay to $Ξ^-\bar Ξ^+$ is found. For these states, upper limits of the products of the branching fraction and the electronic partial width at the 90% confidence level are provided.

One of the fundamental goals of particle physics is to gain microscopic understanding of the strong interaction. Electromagnetic form factors quantify the structure of hadrons in terms of charge and magnetization distributions. While the nucleon structure has been investigated extensively, data on hyperons is still scarce. It has recently been demonstrated that electron-positron annihilations into hyperon-antihyperon pairs provide a powerful tools to investigate their inner structure. We present a novel method useful for hyperon-antihyperon pairs of different types which exploits the cross section enhancement due to the vacuum polarization effect at the $J/ψ$ resonance. Using the 10 billion $J/ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector, this allows a thorough determination of the hyperon structure . The result is essentially a precise snapshot of a $\barΛΣ^0$~($Λ\barΣ^0$) pair in the making, encoded in the form factor ratio and the phase. Their values are measured to be $R = 0.860\pm0.029({\rm stat.})\pm0.010({\rm syst.})$, $ΔΦ_1=(1.011\pm0.094({\rm stat.})\pm0.010({\rm syst.}))~\rm rad$ for $\barΛΣ^0$ and $ΔΦ_2=(2.128\pm0.094({\rm stat.})\pm0.010({\rm syst.}))~\rm rad$ for $Λ\barΣ^0$, respectively. Furthermore, charge-parity (CP) breaking is investigated for the first time in this reaction and found to be consistent with CP symmetry.

Roof plane segmentation from airborne LiDAR point clouds is an important technology for 3D building model reconstruction. One of the key issues of plane segmentation is how to design powerful features that can exactly distinguish adjacent planar patches. The quality of point feature directly determines the accuracy of roof plane segmentation. Most of existing approaches use handcrafted features to extract roof planes. However, the abilities of these features are relatively low, especially in boundary area. To solve this problem, we propose a boundary-aware point clustering approach in Euclidean and embedding spaces constructed by a multi-task deep network for roof plane segmentation. We design a three-branch network to predict semantic labels, point offsets and extract deep embedding features. In the first branch, we classify the input data as non-roof, boundary and plane points. In the second branch, we predict point offsets for shifting each point toward its respective instance center. In the third branch, we constrain that points of the same plane instance should have the similar embeddings. We aim to ensure that points of the same plane instance are close as much as possible in both Euclidean and embedding spaces. However, although deep network has strong feature representative ability, it is still hard to accurately distinguish points near plane instance boundary. Therefore, we first group plane points into many clusters in the two spaces, and then we assign the rest boundary points to their closest clusters to generate final complete roof planes. In this way, we can effectively reduce the influence of unreliable boundary points. In addition, we construct a synthetic dataset and a real dataset to train and evaluate our approach. The experiments results show that the proposed approach significantly outperforms the existing state-of-the-art approaches.

We present a novel locality-based learning method for cleaning and solving optical motion capture data. Given noisy marker data, we propose a new heterogeneous graph neural network which treats markers and joints as different types of nodes, and uses graph convolution operations to extract the local features of markers and joints and transform them to clean motions. To deal with anomaly markers (e.g. occluded or with big tracking errors), the key insight is that a marker's motion shows strong correlations with the motions of its immediate neighboring markers but less so with other markers, a.k.a. locality, which enables us to efficiently fill missing markers (e.g. due to occlusion). Additionally, we also identify marker outliers due to tracking errors by investigating their acceleration profiles. Finally, we propose a training regime based on representation learning and data augmentation, by training the model on data with masking. The masking schemes aim to mimic the occluded and noisy markers often observed in the real data. Finally, we show that our method achieves high accuracy on multiple metrics across various datasets. Extensive comparison shows our method outperforms state-of-the-art methods in terms of prediction accuracy of occluded marker position error by approximately 20%, which leads to a further error reduction on the reconstructed joint rotations and positions by 30%. The code and data for this paper are available at https://github.com/non-void/LocalMoCap.

Textual geographic information is indispensable and heavily relied upon in practical applications. The absence of clear distribution poses challenges in effectively harnessing geographic information, thereby driving our quest for exploration. We contend that geographic information is influenced by human behavior, cognition, expression, and thought processes, and given our intuitive understanding of natural systems, we hypothesize its conformity to the Gamma distribution. Through rigorous experiments on a diverse range of 24 datasets encompassing different languages and types, we have substantiated this hypothesis, unearthing the underlying regularities governing the dimensions of quantity, length, and distance in geographic information. Furthermore, theoretical analyses and comparisons with Gaussian distributions and Zipf's law have refuted the contingency of these laws. Significantly, we have estimated the upper bounds of human utilization of geographic information, pointing towards the existence of uncharted territories. Also, we provide guidance in geographic information extraction. Hope we peer its true countenance uncovering the veil of geographic information.

The renowned proverb that "The pen is mightier than the sword" underscores the formidable influence wielded by text expressions in sha** sentiments. Indeed, well-crafted written can deeply resonate within cultures, conveying profound sentiments. Nowadays, the omnipresence of the Internet has fostered a subculture that congregates around the contemporary milieu. The subculture artfully articulates the intricacies of human feelings by ardently pursuing the allure of novelty, a fact that cannot be disregarded in the sentiment analysis. This paper strives to enrich data through the lens of subculture, to address the insufficient training data faced by sentiment analysis. To this end, a new approach of subculture-based data augmentation (SCDA) is proposed, which engenders six enhanced texts for each training text by leveraging the creation of six diverse subculture expression generators. The extensive experiments attest to the effectiveness and potential of SCDA. The results also shed light on the phenomenon that disparate subculture expressions elicit varying degrees of sentiment stimulation. Moreover, an intriguing conjecture arises, suggesting the linear reversibility of certain subculture expressions. It is our fervent aspiration that this study serves as a catalyst in fostering heightened perceptiveness towards the tapestry of information, sentiment and culture, thereby enriching our collective understanding.

Spatial-temporal information has been proven to be of great significance for click-through rate prediction tasks in online Location-Based Services (LBS), especially in mainstream food ordering platforms such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, Meituan, and Ele.me. Modeling user spatial-temporal preferences with sequential behavior data has become a hot topic in recommendation systems and online advertising. However, most of existing methods either lack the representation of rich spatial-temporal information or only handle user behaviors with limited length, e.g. 100. In this paper, we tackle these problems by designing a new spatial-temporal modeling paradigm named Fragment and Integrate Network (FIN). FIN consists of two networks: (i) Fragment Network (FN) extracts Multiple Sub-Sequences (MSS) from lifelong sequential behavior data, and captures the specific spatial-temporal representation by modeling each MSS respectively. Here both a simplified attention and a complicated attention are adopted to balance the performance gain and resource consumption. (ii) Integrate Network (IN) builds a new integrated sequence by utilizing spatial-temporal interaction on MSS and captures the comprehensive spatial-temporal representation by modeling the integrated sequence with a complicated attention. Both public datasets and production datasets have demonstrated the accuracy and scalability of FIN. Since 2022, FIN has been fully deployed in the recommendation advertising system of Ele.me, one of the most popular online food ordering platforms in China, obtaining 5.7% improvement on Click-Through Rate (CTR) and 7.3% increase on Revenue Per Mille (RPM).

Cloud-native architecture is becoming increasingly crucial for today's cloud computing environments due to the need for speed and flexibility in develo** applications. It utilizes microservice technology to break down traditional monolithic applications into light-weight and self-contained microservice components. However, as microservices grow in scale and have dynamic inter-dependencies, they also pose new challenges in resource provisioning that cannot be fully addressed by traditional resource scheduling approaches. The various microservices with different resource needs and latency requirements can create complex calling chains, making it difficult to provide fine-grained and accurate resource allocation to each component while maintaining the overall quality of service in the chain. In this work, we aim to address the research problem on how to efficiently provision resources for the growing scale of microservice platform and ensure the performance of latency-critical microservices. To address the problem, we present in-depth analyses of Alibaba's microservice cluster and propose optimized resource provisioning algorithms to enhance resource utilization while ensuring the latency requirement. First, we analyze the distinct features of microservices in Alibaba's cluster compared to traditional applications. Then we present Alibaba's resource capacity provisioning workflow and framework to address challenges in resource provisioning for large-scale and latency-critical microservice clusters. Finally, we propose enhanced resource provisioning algorithms over Alibaba's current practice by making both proactive and reactive scheduling decisions based on different workloads patterns, which can improve resource usage by 10-15% in Alibaba's clusters, while maintaining the necessary latency for microservices.

Large Vision-Language Models (LVLMs) have recently achieved remarkable success. However, LVLMs are still plagued by the hallucination problem, which limits the practicality in many scenarios. Hallucination refers to the information of LVLMs' responses that does not exist in the visual input, which poses potential risks of substantial consequences. There has been limited work studying hallucination evaluation in LVLMs. In this paper, we propose Hallucination Evaluation based on Large Language Models (HaELM), an LLM-based hallucination evaluation framework. HaELM achieves an approximate 95% performance comparable to ChatGPT and has additional advantages including low cost, reproducibility, privacy preservation and local deployment. Leveraging the HaELM, we evaluate the hallucination in current LVLMs. Furthermore, we analyze the factors contributing to hallucination in LVLMs and offer helpful suggestions to mitigate the hallucination problem. Our training data and human annotation hallucination data will be made public soon.

With a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 11.5~fb$^{-1}$
collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring, for the first time the light hadron decay $χ_{c1}(3872) \rightarrow π^{+}π^{-}η$
is searched for. While no significant signal is observed, the upper limits at the 90\% confidence level for
$σ[e^{+}e^{-} \rightarrow γχ_{c1}(3872)] \mathcal{B}[χ_{c1}(3872) \rightarrow π^{+}π^{-}η]$ at center-of-mass energies from 4.13 to 4.34 GeV are determined.
By normalizing to the $χ_{c1}(3872)\toπ^+π^- J/ψ$ decay channel, a 90\% confidence level upper limit for the branching fraction ratio
$\mathcal{R}=\mathcal{B}[χ_{c1}(3872) \rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}η]/\mathcal{B}[χ_{c1}(3872) \rightarrow π^{+}π^{-} J/ψ] < 0.12$ is given.
These measurements provide important inputs for understanding the internal structure of the $χ_{c1}(3872)$ resonance.

These results are consistent with the world average values within two standard deviations. The ratio of partial widths $Γ(J/ψ\toγη^\prime)/Γ(J/ψ\toγη)$ is measured to be $4.93 \pm 0.13$. The singlet-octet pseudoscalar mixing angle $θ_P$ is determined to be $θ_P = -(22.11 \pm0.26)^\circ$ or $-(19.34 \pm 0.34)^\circ$ with two different phenomenological models.

On-device recommender systems recently have garnered increasing attention due to their advantages of providing prompt response and securing privacy. To stay current with evolving user interests, cloud-based recommender systems are periodically updated with new interaction data. However, on-device models struggle to retrain themselves because of limited onboard computing resources. As a solution, we consider the scenario where the model retraining occurs on the server side and then the updated parameters are transferred to edge devices via network communication. While this eliminates the need for local retraining, it incurs a regular transfer of parameters that significantly taxes network bandwidth. To mitigate this issue, we develop an efficient approach based on compositional codes to compress the model update. This approach ensures the on-device model is updated flexibly with minimal additional parameters whilst utilizing previous knowledge. The extensive experiments conducted on multiple session-based recommendation models with distinctive architectures demonstrate that the on-device model can achieve comparable accuracy to the retrained server-side counterpart through transferring an update 60x smaller in size. The codes are available at \url{https://github.com/xiaxin1998/ODUpdate}.

Large-scale text retrieval technology has been widely used in various practical business scenarios. This paper presents our systems for the TREC 2022 Deep Learning Track. We explain the hybrid text retrieval and multi-stage text ranking method adopted in our solution. The retrieval stage combined the two structures of traditional sparse retrieval and neural dense retrieval. In the ranking stage, in addition to the full interaction-based ranking model built on large pre-trained language model, we also proposes a lightweight sub-ranking module to further enhance the final text ranking performance. Evaluation results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed approach. Our models achieve the 1st and 4th rank on the test set of passage ranking and document ranking respectively.

A spin-1/2 triangular-lattice antiferromagnet is a prototypical frustrated quantum magnet, which exhibits remarkable quantum many-body effects that arise from the synergy between geometric spin frustration and quantum fluctuations. It can host quantum frustrated magnetic topological phenomena like quantum spin liquid (QSL) states, highlighted by the presence of fractionalized quasiparticles within a continuum of magnetic excitations. In this work, we use neutron scattering to study CoZnMo$_3$O$_8$, which has a triangular lattice of Jeff = 1/2 Co2+ ions with octahedral coordination. We found a wave-vector-dependent excitation continuum at low energy that disappears with increasing temperature. Although these excitations are reminiscent of a spin excitation continuum in a QSL state, their presence in CoZnMo$_3$O$_8$ originates from magnetic intersite disorder-induced dynamic spin states with peculiar excitations. Our results, therefore, give direct experimental evidence for the presence of a disorder-induced spin excitation continuum.

3D scene reconstruction is a long-standing vision task. Existing approaches can be categorized into geometry-based and learning-based methods. The former leverages multi-view geometry but can face catastrophic failures due to the reliance on accurate pixel correspondence across views. The latter was proffered to mitigate these issues by learning 2D or 3D representation directly. However, without a large-scale video or 3D training data, it can hardly generalize to diverse real-world scenarios due to the presence of tens of millions or even billions of optimization parameters in the deep network. Recently, robust monocular depth estimation models trained with large-scale datasets have been proven to possess weak 3D geometry prior, but they are insufficient for reconstruction due to the unknown camera parameters, the affine-invariant property, and inter-frame inconsistency. Here, we propose a novel test-time optimization approach that can transfer the robustness of affine-invariant depth models such as LeReS to challenging diverse scenes while ensuring inter-frame consistency, with only dozens of parameters to optimize per video frame. Specifically, our approach involves freezing the pre-trained affine-invariant depth model's depth predictions, rectifying them by optimizing the unknown scale-shift values with a geometric consistency alignment module, and employing the resulting scale-consistent depth maps to robustly obtain camera poses and achieve dense scene reconstruction, even in low-texture regions. Experiments show that our method achieves state-of-the-art cross-dataset reconstruction on five zero-shot testing datasets.
